Tonight’s Canadiens-Florida Panthers game is the first of a number of giveaway nights at the Bell Centre. This evening, fans will receive a magnetic schedule, ideal for sticking up on the fridge for every trip during the games you don’t attend.

Canadiens collector Erle Schneidman sends along a scan of tonight’s calendar, along with scans of the past four seasons’ calendar giveaways. The 2002-03 calendar was in fact a mousepad, not a magnet.

Canadiens’ Christopher Higgins is featured on this year’s pocket calendar. Below (and the first two are full NHL schedules, not exclusively Canadiens games): 1967-68 has Jean Béliveau scoring on Detroit goalie Roger Crozier (surely you recognize Crozier’s haircut?); 1977-78 features goalie Ken Dryden and a couple of anonymous teammates (though one looks a lot like Serge Savard) against two pseudo Buffalo Sabres; 1987-88 has Mats Naslund crowding the Winnipeg Jets goal (and horrors, the schedule includes Quebec Nordiques games!); and 1997-98 illustrates the previous season’s Molson Cup winner, Mark Recchi.
