				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Canadiens defensive prospect Ryan O&#8217;Byrne hopes his size and rugged play will convince management to keep him with the club this season. </p>
<p>&#8220;This team doesn&#8217;t have a lot of size and I&#8217;m hoping that will work in my favour,&#8221; the 6-foot-5, 238-pound defenceman said. &#8220;I want a chance to show people what I can do. I think I had a solid year in Hamilton, especially late in the season and in the playoffs, and I think I&#8217;m ready for the NHL.&#8221;</p>
<p>But O&#8217;Byrne also stands out because of his skating skills and mobility, especially for a player of his size. &#8220;He&#8217;s effective because he&#8217;s able to time his hits,&#8221; said Trevor Timmins, Canadiens director of player personnel.</p>
