Being booed on home ice is hard on players and harder on their wives.
Just ask Michelle Brisebois.
Don’t ask her, however, about the standing ovation her husband got on Saturday night.

While the Canadiens were being introduced before the home opener, Brisebois’s wife and daughters were stuck on the Décarie Expressway, where an accident had slowed southbound traffic to a crawl.
By the time they got to the Bell Centre, the game had begun and Brisebois’s loved ones had missed the standing ovation he got from 21,273 fans.

François Gagnon reports in La Presse that the other Canadiens wives and partners filled Michelle Brisebois in on what she’d missed.
