When this team spends no time in the offensive zone and most of the night chasing the puck back in their end, you have a fragile team that is hoping Carey can win them the game. I’d love to see the puck possession stat tonight, and I bet the pens had it for about 60% of the time while about 75% of the time the puck had to be in the habs end. while i do not think max will get suspended, if he does then kunitz should also for KICKING price’s kness on teh nongoal. really you are allowed to kick the inside of a goalies leg?
As soon as there was the dreaded two goal lead the JM SYSTEM kicked in the forecheck stopped and the passive defense allowed Pittsburgh to roam around the Habs zone willy nilly.
So all you JM lover sound off now as to how his system didn’t lose that game?
How many more bad line changes will highlight the JM tenure?
BTW how on earth do do have Pleck and Cammallari on it OT vs Staahl and Kunitz??

ok so the ref blew that call in OT – we all agree and wish the game never went to OT. (by the way who was that ref). what is disliked even more was that the pens celebrated and the habs complained – both refs seemed to come together but didnt really discuss…. why not discuss the play with all 4 officials on the ice since it was obviously going to win the game if it counted….. just a thought.
The fact in the game tonight that I think the guy was trying to reference was that MTL has not had a top 10 scorer since 1985, not top 15. It was just a point that the habs have not had an elite forward on their team in some 25 years. It really is a hard life to be a habs fan. Oh and Cammy has been bad, no doubt about it, but his pts/game are the same as Gionta and DD and Cole and all our other so-called top players except Max and Pleks. Pleks has been shit of late and Cole is playing well as of late. Point being, it’s just bad no matter how one wants to shake it. Also, can someone tell me at what point Weber built a resume worthy of taking Subban’s top pp spot? And how Subban is outscoring the guy despite the PP time(oh and our PP is shit as well) and yet it doesn’t change? I’m lost on this.
Unbelievably, our last 40 goal scorer was Vinny Damphousse in 1994.
So yes … the Habs have not had an elite forward for many, many years.
And not helping to change that stat is Cammy. Cammallerri has played 3 crap games in a row. He’s not scoring and is very soft around the puck … in the words of Michel Therien, “So soft …”
Things could be worse: The Leafs could be ahead of us. Oh, right, they are.
How about this: The Bruins could emerge from their Stanley Cup hangover. As if that’s going to happen any time soon …It’s happened?
Cammy having an off-season? He is?
Gomez still with the team? No way!!
The power play continues to suck? Oh, you’re kidding.
A little rum and coke, please. Make it a triple.
P.S. Isn’t it about time we started calling him Carey ‘The System’ Price?
so i think everyone is in agreement that the pens are a better team and they did contol the game tonight. maybe the SYSTEM is what gave the habs a chance…. if (and i hate calling out a player) weber is not sleeping on stalls goal the habs probably winand there is not need to complain about the refs and price is the hero. i’d still complain abotu cammy bc he does look lazy this year
The one thing i don’t get is where is the other Ref……they have no problem making a call missed by the Ref in the Offense zone any other time…….and whats the deal with Ref being so bad out of position to see the play.
just like most sports the one unknown about the game is who’s Refereeing as some are better than others and it was Montreal’s bad luck that Dan O’Rourke was Refereeing…..a Veteran Ref …..but in my Opinion when ever he is a part of a Montreal Game he messes up…at least the third time hes cost Montreal a game.
He must be grew up in a family where as long as Montreal lost it was a good day……i have a few of them where i live ……LOL.
I have complaied about the way the ref have treated this team but no complaints tonight. Yes they should have blown the whistle but the team did not deserve to win. It is wasn’t for Price they would have lost 10 to 3.The refs havn’t been half bad this year it the coach we should be screaming at. Come on is there nobody else sick of this stupid ropy dope play. He is ruining Subban he gone from one of the bext young player to adverage. He afraid to handle the puck come on man time to make the change. Time to bring back the saint and save this season before its to late.
The Habs have much bigger problems then Galley. Cammaleri is only 1 problem on this team. Team reminds me of Ottawa Sens they finally realized last year they were not good enough and decided to rebuild. While the Habs are not bad to that extent they still have to decide whether players like Cam, Gomez, Gionta are gonna lead them to the promised land. If not they need to deal with it. I just don’t see JM and PG dealing with that.
Why the Hell do people lump Gionta in with Gomez??? Gionta is on pace for 24 goals this year, he had 29 last season and 28 the season before. How the hell does he compare with Gomez? What the hell has Gomez done on this team?
Well I;m not “veryhabby” right now…yup habs got screwed by a bad ref call. But Pits can also say it shouldn’t have gone to OT with the 2 goals call back. At the end of the game, I really didn’t think we’d win or deserved to win. Price was awesome, and a few players played well. but when your #1 line is invisable all day, when your PP is aweful, when you are in OT and are doing nothing but defend….hard to win a game no matter how good your goalie is. so yes very upset with the ref not blowing the play dead….but I didn’t see the habs doing anything in OT it was like they were just waiting for the shoot out or just happy they had gotten a point.
Nothing you can do about it. Best thing is to hope Pac doesn’t get suspended.
You do realize that every single team in the playoff hunt along with the Habs have games in hand (some teams with as many as 4 games in hand). You also realize with the 3 point games how hard it is to jump over 4 teams to get a playoff spot. You do realize that the Habs seem to be a 500 team and that won’t be good enough to get a top 8 spot.
Two things to improve this team. First fire JM and bring in Roy enough of the ropy dope hockey that was sicking. Second offer Cammy to the Jets for Dustin Byfuglien and use him as a forward. It will improve the PP and when he doesn’t skate he can still do something. Cammy is not skating and can’t do anything but when he does skake still can’t forecheck.
JM’s solution to the pp problems is to wait for Markov to come back. By doing so he has completely screwed up Pleks, Cammi, and Weber with their 5 on 5 play. They are so gunshy on the pp that they have no confidence. Way to go.
Wholeheartedly agree. The NBA had a HUGE problem with the credibility and consistency of their officials, so they created a committee whose job it is to review EVERY call, and to make the officials accountable for when they get it wrong.
NFL does it right too. If a guy botches a call, his status gets downgraded and he doesn’t get to work key/playoff games. Ed Hochuli is one of the best refs in the NFL, he badly botched a call in a game and had his status reduced that year.

GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!
RGM’s Movember page: http://mobro.co/RGM81
I’m pretty sure Hochuli worked the Super Bowl, notwithstanding the points (literally, they have a scoring system) he lost for the week 2 Broncos-Chargers game. But hey, he even came on the mic and said straight-up to the crowd, “I shouldn’t have blown the whistle but I did.” I like that.
and on another note does it seem like maybe cammalleri ate too much calamari this off season and not enough cardio training he is slow and sluggish and quits on every play
as much as the goal probably shouldn’t have been allowed, its called protecting your goalie and playing till the whistle blows, brutal ! lets just let the penguins do what they want to price and after they score flop around and get mad about it lol poor pricey….
Exactly, yes the refs f’d up but what was our d doing on that play? Price has every reason to be pissed about the refs…. but what about the support from the d on that play. Soft very soft.
All last year we got screwed by the league and the refs, and again this year more of the same. The Molsons have to step in there and say something or you might has well just quit having a hockey team. The league only notices the habs for the cheque that is cut to them. Let’s see if Pittsburgh cuts as big of a cheque as the Habs do to the league. Bettman sucks and so does this whole bullsh!t league.
I have never been so fustrated with the way the Habs are content to be a constant whipping team for the whole league. The team with the most history of any team in the league are treated with such distain and disrespect it’s sad real sad.
Take a look at the other teams with such a rich history in other leagues and you won’t see them trashed by the league. Yankees, Lakers, Packers, Cowboys. They may not always be on top but they are not kicked around in the league like the Habs are.
That call tonight is all too familiar in a Habs game. It’s a common sight game after game. If it’s not a blown call, than it’s a bullsh!t call. Habs killing a penalty and if they even look at someone the wrong way a second penalty will be called to put them down two. While the same sceneairo being reversed, the opposing team can pretty much do what they want and nothing called.
I don’t care how many say that the Habs didn’t derserve a win, neither did Pittsburgh. They didn’t play that great a game. Look at that play and in no way can a referee see the puck so it gets whistled. I have referee’d before and was told and it is also in the rule book, once you loose sight of the puck blow the play dead. No where in the rule book did it say wait five to ten seconds once you lose sight before blowing play dead. The league needs to reprimand the officials for making blatant blown calls. There was no excuse for that call. There is no way a referee can explain his way out.
To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.
slapshot777…say MTl had won this game, do you think that Pits would have the right to complain? No penalty on Max Pac? 2 goals call back. Yup the winner came off bad refing…but it went both ways tonite.
Complain about the two goals called back? So your going to tell me that both of those goals were legal? I guess batting the puck in with your glove is legal where you play is it? Price made the save on Kunitz and then he make a kick at Price which spun him into the net thus the puck along with it. So again I guess your saying that a goalie can make a save and while doing so run him to know the puck loose and hopefully in the net. Both calls were correct calls. The winning goal by Pittsburgh was a direct result of a blown call PERIOD.
Tell me where Max’s hit was illegal? What was wrong with it. Did he lead with his elbow? His shoulder? did he make Letang head a target? Letang was the puck carrier, what do you want an interference call? What the hell are you going to call? I guess your going to make up a call just like the refs did tonight. You missed the game tonight by the looks of it.
To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.
Hard to believe that play wasn’t whisted down. Maybe the guy on the other side of the net couldn’t see that Carey had his glove on it, but isn’t there another guy with red stripes on his Jersey that shouldn’t of seen it? Absolute BS. I would of taken my chances in a shootout, Carey was definitely on his game. Frustrating loss tonight, haven’t been on here in a couple of days, but I thought the boys absolutely sucked against Philly yesterday.
“They don’t hang Conference Championship Banners from the rafters here”

This is for 1010.. What did Crosby ever do to you…Are you Cherry’s illegitimate son? How is he sneaky? Geez..he wasn’t even involved in any controversial stuff tonight…yet, you still single him out!!
As a long-time Habs fan, I was sickened by by Max’s hit. Hockey has got to put a stop to this crap before someone is killed. And of all people…the guy who had his neck broken. Hockey players and morons…governed by dumb-asses.
If your sickened by that hit by Max than I suggest you watch some other sport. That hit was clean, no elbow, not even aiming is shoulder at letangs head. Letang came in with his head down and leaning forward. Max being taller just hit him flush and unfortunately for Letang he got a busted nose.
Funny how you guys come in here all high and mighty when a Hab player hits somebody, but you disappear when the reverse happens or you say it was the Habs players fault. You sir are sickening with that comment.
To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.
The visor caused the nose bleed or busted nose as it was a tough hit & Letang is no angle running Spezza into the boards from behind and separating his shoulder awhile back……..
You have to watch the slo-mo replay (and don’t complain about it being different at slower speeds – because EVERYONE here insisted on watching the Chara/Patches hit frame by frame). Pacioretty’s shoulders and arm hit Letang square in the head before any other part of him made contact with any other part of Letang’s body.
It wasn’t intentional, I’m sure, and I wouldn’t call it ‘sickening’, but the league has to suspend him a few games for it.
I agree with Crosby, tonight. Didn’t see his yapping effecting what the referees did too much tonight.
I saw the hit differently. If he hadn’t hit him there would of been a scoring chance and we could’ve probably gone to bed earlier. The only thing that sickened me was that Ottawa homer Gary Galley running his yap about a head shot. Even Glenn Healey thought it was a clean hit.
Pacioretty didn’t leave his feet, he kept his arms down, what else was he supposed to do?

Are you Sidney Crosby’s illegitimate father?
Get over yourself man. Just because he’s from your province doesn’t mean I have to like him any more than I have to like all hockey players from my province.
Are you mad because Cherry questioned the late whistle?
He hates the Habs so I thought it was interesting that he questioned the call.
Watch Crosby sometime: he’s constantly crying to the refs.
What has the Max hit got to do with me calling Crosby a whiner?
I must have really hit a nerve on this one.
Lawrencetown: He’s a very talented player. And I didn’t intend to take a shot at the good people of Nova Scotia.
I was called Cherry’s illegitimate son and, the truth is, even though I live only a few miles from his home town I do not like him. Never have. I’m a Habs fan…nothing else. I don’t care who comes from where.
Max’s hit was not intentionial so I’m not sure what you are so delusional about, nobody wants to see someone hurt but that was not the type of crap, as you are referring to. That was an unfortunate incident that happens in contact sports, Max was not head hunting, as you seem to imply. I guess that is my opinion and wtf do you or I know.
Sneaky is butt end in the in face, elbows to the face behind the play and slew-foots in the corners!
Gordie Howe was as sneaky dirty as they came but he was successful to the end doing it!

…..My empire is crumbling, my international sponsors are deserting me, my authority is questioned, I am held in contempt wherever I go.
On a minor note, interference call on Eller was total BS. Both players were going for the puck and Eller took the initiative to rub out the Pens Dman…how is that a penalty? What should have been called was interference on the Pens defender who checked Moen into the boards later in the 3rd as he dumped the puck in. Absolutely terrible game by the referrees.
cammalleri can easily net a first rounder…
or we can trade him to edmonton for some of their young guys, one of gagner, paajarvi, or hemsky would be nice including maybe a pick depending which player we aim for.
- If the NHL was the Wizard of Oz, Cammalleri would be the Cowardly Lion.
Here is how I see it. This is an average team. This team was outplayed all night by the Pens. Two lines providing action, the DD and Eller line. Gionta, Pleks and Cammeleri were nowhere to be found. IF this team makes the playoffs they will not compete with the Bruins, Pens or Sabres as they stand today. Interesting the habs have not had a top 15 scorer since 1985. That says alot.
They need to shake it up, including coaching. Only untouchables in my mind are Price, Eller, Cole, Subban. Anyone notice Curtis Sanford with Columbus is 3-0-2 on worst team in the league Here is a a guy who played with Hamilton last 2 or 3 years and did not get a sniff to backup Price. I question the evaluation skills of PG.
It is hard to believe, but it is true. The weakest hockey officiating is actually at the highest level of the sport. You never see crap like this in NCAA D-1. Only at the NHL level do you see such weakness in stripes.
I’ve said as such many times. It is incredulous but the refs in the NHL are the worst: http://bit.ly/refssuck No accountability, no facing the music, and the League protects them by fining players/coaches/teams that dare speak out against them.

GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!
RGM’s Movember page: http://mobro.co/RGM81
Exactly. He should have manned-up to his mistake and consulted with the other officials to get the call right. Probably didn’t have the balls to do it, though, since Crosby was already celebrating.
I swear you are Boone or someone at HIO used to generate controversy/hits. You can’t possibly believe all the stuff you say right? Weren’t you HabNofear for a little while?…. and before that you had another name, which you deleted because Price won more than 2 games last year?
Chrisadiens and HabFan10912, one of the few father son tandems on HIO.
The goal shouldn’t have counted but the fact is the Pens never quit and our guys stood there like pylons and watched the puck go in. Good for Price for smashing his stick except he should’ve aimed it at his teammates. That’s the difference between us and a well coached team.
As much as it was annoying to hear that CBC fellow just about blaming the habs for that – teams box out at virtually EVERY covered puck without getting penalties. They just stood there on that one.
The ref totally blew the call, but the team blew the play, and that’s worrying. These guys have been clearing the crease for the goalie since they were 12 years old, and just then, none of them remembered?
Rule 8.3 – Blood – A player who is bleeding or who has visible blood on his equipment or body shall be ruled off the ice at the next stoppage of play. Such player shall not be permitted to return to play until the bleeding has been stopped and the cut or abrasion covered (if necessary). It is required that any affected equipment and/or uniform be properly decontaminated or exchanged.

GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!
RGM’s Movember page: http://mobro.co/RGM81
That was EXACTLY what I though when they showed Letang on the ice for the start of OT, with his blood covered jersey. So sick of the pathetic officiating in the NHL.
Pretty sure he didn’t spend his time in the ‘Quiet Room’, as per NHL protocol either…
Halpern didn’t spend time in the quiet room last year in playoffs either. I’m not even sure if that’s a protocol anymore. And players play with blood on their jerseys all the time.
There are many reasons to be angry after tonight, but these are not them.
We can whine all we want about that last goal, but the bottom line is you make your own breaks in this game. The Habs were crap in that OT, they barely touched the dam puck. They had Syndy and company down 3-1 and couldn’t bury them. No killer instinct on this team!! Everyone rags on Gomez, myself included, but someone please tell me what we are getting out of Cammi for all his millions?? He has been frickin’ brutal lately!
Pleks hasn’t been good lately. Cammy has been awful all season, he avoids physical contact and turns the puck over like he’s been watching tapes of Gomez the last couple of years for tips. The PP isn’t going to get any better without Markov. They’re playing this badly and they haven’t even hit their traditionally bad Christmas road trip yet. Could this finally be the year where they don’t get enough breaks to make the playoffs?
And I know he’s the best player in the world (since Ovechkin refuses to adjust and improve his game), but that doesn’t mean I have to cheer for Crosby. He’s still the same old spoiled whiner he’s always been.
it’s 16 million according to NHL.com…but what the hell…only a mill…peanuts for these boys…none of them gets a pass in my book…soft, softer, and softest…no particular order required
take your drink to the end of the bar buddy…come on now, don’t be a fool…
As a ref, how do you explain that away? You’re supposed to blow the play dead when you lose sight of the puck, which he obviously must have because he was on the opposite side of the net. And even if he COULD have seen the puck, it should have again be whistled dead because Price had his glove on it.
Good question. I was thinking the same thing. If a player interfered with a goalie such that a goal was disallowed, does that not constitute an infraction? Perhaps someone can go to TSN and ask Kerry Fraser….
I can’t recall a goalie who has had as many late- and non-whistles as Carey Price. It is very frustrating.
That said, Pittsburgh deserved to win the game. How is it that when Montreal travels and arrives late in another city they are “tired,”, but Pittsburgh arrives at 2:00am last night and dominates the Habs in their own rink?
Our goaltender, who is part of the team, was the best player on the ice.
Sometimes, goalies do steal games. An acceptable part of the winning process. As well, our team scored an equal amount of goals as the opponent.
And the last goal was the result of an incompetent official.
I rest my case.
They played two periods like they wanted to win got a dreaded two goal lead and JM kicked in his passive SYSTEM and lo and behold the usual result!
———————————————————————-
…..My empire is crumbling, my international sponsors are deserting me, my authority is questioned, I am held in contempt wherever I go.
Here’s how bad that call was:Don Cherry thinks it should have been whistled dead.
One other thought: just remembered why I didn’t miss Crosby when he was out…he’s a sneaky little whine-a$$.
Good night all.
We got hosed without a doubt, but then again we blew a 2 goal lead and yet again didn’t take advantage of our powerplay chances. It never should have came to this.
Wow. Mtl didn’t deserve the W but neither did Pitt on that goal. Really awful call.
But don’t let the way this game ended cloud your memory about how thoroughly dominated we were. Too many passengers today. This team isn’t good right now. Maybe not good at all.
Yup. I’ll need blood pressure medication soon from watching this garbage. Glad I didn’t spring for RDS this year.

plug gomez in the minors, make that deal– habs are set
Nash is the big fish and could be had.
while i do not think max will get suspended, if he does then kunitz should also for KICKING price’s kness on teh nongoal. really you are allowed to kick the inside of a goalies leg?
Prediction:
There is tension between JM and PG (see Pearn, Perry). This week there will be 4th line player movement involving trade/waivers/callups/demotion.
We got jobbed! Hope patches has no disciplinary action against him
This game was lost long before a bad call in OT.

A little perspective, please.
P.S. Isn’t it about time we started calling him Carey ‘The System’ Price?
yeah he did!!!
Carey Price #31
so i think everyone is in agreement that the pens are a better team and they did contol the game tonight. maybe the SYSTEM is what gave the habs a chance…. if (and i hate calling out a player) weber is not sleeping on stalls goal the habs probably winand there is not need to complain about the refs and price is the hero. i’d still complain abotu cammy bc he does look lazy this year
The one thing i don’t get is where is the other Ref……they have no problem making a call missed by the Ref in the Offense zone any other time…….and whats the deal with Ref being so bad out of position to see the play.
just like most sports the one unknown about the game is who’s Refereeing as some are better than others and it was Montreal’s bad luck that Dan O’Rourke was Refereeing…..a Veteran Ref …..but in my Opinion when ever he is a part of a Montreal Game he messes up…at least the third time hes cost Montreal a game.
He must be grew up in a family where as long as Montreal lost it was a good day……i have a few of them where i live ……LOL.
You can be sure that Max will get a suspention..he is a HAB
I just don’t see JM and PG dealing with that.
billy jackson
People understand we’re still only 2 points out of a playoff spot, right? And we still need to play 58 games before the season ends?
25 before 14
optimism is not welcome here!!!!!
(at least not tonight)
- If the NHL was the Wizard of Oz, Cammalleri would be the Cowardly Lion.
Now you did it Shark9 …you just activated the System!
Seem to be with just over 1/4 of our games played. If Markov can stimulate our PP when he comes back we can definitely make it.
Hard, yes. Impossible? No. We’re much better than we were at the start of the season and we just lost in OT to the best team in the league.
25 before 14
THANK YOU!!!
Isn’t THE SYSTEM suppost to protect 1 and 2 goal leads.
And Cammilleri, if you don’t want to play for Jacques Martin, then just stay home. You are a waste of money.
Way to go.
Why don’t they take the $2500 fine and just lay into the refs publicly?
I would, I mean thats just a few beers at the Bell center for Molson to sell.
Agreed. Perfect opportunity for JM to lose it on the refs. The game was over and the worst thing the league would do would be to fine him. Pathetic.
It’s not the first time the habs have been screwed by the refs and it’s not the last.

Wholeheartedly agree. The NBA had a HUGE problem with the credibility and consistency of their officials, so they created a committee whose job it is to review EVERY call, and to make the officials accountable for when they get it wrong.
That’s what the NHL needs.

Cammalleri is increasingly reminding me of Kjell Dahlin, who was the pussiest player ever to don a Montreal Canadiens uniform.
He was pretty soft. I’m partial to Pierre turgeon or Benoit brunet though.
Turgeon is better. Perhaps we should play a game of “Which former Hab does Cammalleri most resemble?”
I like Cammalleri. I can’t understand why his head is elsewhere right now. The team really needs him.
Mike Ryder 2.0. He can skate and score goals, at a little better clip than Ryder, but I don’t think he can do much else.
He came here to score goals, ends up in a system that doesn’t require that skill set (seemingly, also like Ryder), so yeah, I’d be frustrated too.

as much as the goal probably shouldn’t have been allowed, its called protecting your goalie and playing till the whistle blows, brutal ! lets just let the penguins do what they want to price and after they score flop around and get mad about it lol poor pricey….
No playoffs with PG and JM running the ship.
Yep, this ship is headed straight into the ‘berg!
except for the last two years. . . .
Literally, that is exactly what he said. Good for him. I hope the NHL hears him, and he get’s fined, because it will be worth every penny!

I thought Max’s hit was shoulder to shoulder. I’ve never seen him do anything dirty before.
“They don’t hang Conference Championship Banners from the rafters here”
Carey Price

Get over yourself man. Just because he’s from your province doesn’t mean I have to like him any more than I have to like all hockey players from my province.
Are you mad because Cherry questioned the late whistle?
He hates the Habs so I thought it was interesting that he questioned the call.
Watch Crosby sometime: he’s constantly crying to the refs.
What has the Max hit got to do with me calling Crosby a whiner?
I must have really hit a nerve on this one.

“To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high!”
was a good call – the offensive player can not blast the dman over.
Not if they are both going for the puck. He didn’t blast him over either, he checked him out of the way. You’re wrong.

Dude it’s the rules. The RULES. Don’t get upset with us over the rules.
cammalleri can easily net a first rounder…
or we can trade him to edmonton for some of their young guys, one of gagner, paajarvi, or hemsky would be nice including maybe a pick depending which player we aim for.
- If the NHL was the Wizard of Oz, Cammalleri would be the Cowardly Lion.
I like yer thinking!
gagner 4 assists, paajarvi, 1 point…
would be a nasty steal if we can trade cammy for both those players!
doubtful since both are former first rounders and young.
- If the NHL was the Wizard of Oz, Cammalleri would be the Cowardly Lion.
I like Cammy, but he’s been awful. He must be playing hurt? If he is, he should sit and heal, because he’s become a liability.

Typical bush league NHL reffing. It’s ruining the game.
Exactly. He should have manned-up to his mistake and consulted with the other officials to get the call right. Probably didn’t have the balls to do it, though, since Crosby was already celebrating.
On a positive note ….Price is gonna have a hard time getting a 4 year deal for 28 million during contract negotiations with a season like this.
Don’t worry. It has already been determined that he will lead the Flyers to the Cup.
are you saying price is not good? too bad you missed the game tonight.

JM didn’t complain about that call….I’m sure he wrote it in his notebook and will re-enact it later with sock puppets when no one is watching.
JM was scribbling so furiously after that OT goal, he broke his pencil.
The goal shouldn’t have counted but the fact is the Pens never quit and our guys stood there like pylons and watched the puck go in. Good for Price for smashing his stick except he should’ve aimed it at his teammates. That’s the difference between us and a well coached team.
“Hate Bruins like a sickness”
What would you prefer the Habs do, cross-check all Penguins in Price’s vicinity to the ice and draw a penalty? Ref blew it, plain and simple.

Price played a great game ,but he needs to hear the whistle before he relax”s and stops playing.
??? You make it sound like he took his glove off of the puck.
They kicked it out front did they not.
A guy came from behind the net and jammed his stick into his glove to force it out. You’re blaming the wrong person.

Best post of the evening!
so what is with Cammy ? He is useless and doesn’t even look like he is trying. Worst Hab on the ice
Cammy is saving it for the playoffs.
Given the Habs chances, he might as well save it for a man from Yale!
..or a Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Gio-Pleks-Cammy -9, 3 sog ! 15 mill?
it’s 16 million according to NHL.com…but what the hell…only a mill…peanuts for these boys…none of them gets a pass in my book…soft, softer, and softest…no particular order required
take your drink to the end of the bar buddy…come on now, don’t be a fool…
As a ref, how do you explain that away? You’re supposed to blow the play dead when you lose sight of the puck, which he obviously must have because he was on the opposite side of the net. And even if he COULD have seen the puck, it should have again be whistled dead because Price had his glove on it.
Cammalieri’s worst game as a Hab. Floater.
How can they call a Pens goal back because of goaltender interference and not call a penalty?
Incidental and not intentional contact. It’s a rule. Called all the time.
Good question. I was thinking the same thing. If a player interfered with a goalie such that a goal was disallowed, does that not constitute an infraction? Perhaps someone can go to TSN and ask Kerry Fraser….
They can rule “incidental contact” as justification to blow dead a play without a penalty.

GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!
RGM’s Movember page: http://mobro.co/RGM81
Martin will be the reason this team fails to make the playoffs. Why did they sit back against these guys, they had them.
Also, if we’re not in the hunt by the trade deadline, I have Cammy to go. Right now he is Gomerlleri!
I guess the third time’s a charm for scoring illegal goals.
Dear Da Hema, I respectfully disagree. The team that scores the most legal goals deserves to win the game.
Fair enough. Still, on what basis did Montreal deserve to win the game?
Our goaltender, who is part of the team, was the best player on the ice.
Sometimes, goalies do steal games. An acceptable part of the winning process. As well, our team scored an equal amount of goals as the opponent.
And the last goal was the result of an incompetent official.
I rest my case.
That’s a good case.
Still, I thought the Habs as a team were outplayed.
There we can agree, they were outplayed. But how many games did our team outplay the opposition, only to lose the game?
It evens out over the season.
If Pens had scored legally, I’d be happy for the 1 point.
Oh well, it’s done now, and I hope MaxP isn’t suspended.
So another 3rd period collapse!
All you JM system lovers sound off.
They played two periods like they wanted to win got a dreaded two goal lead and JM kicked in his passive SYSTEM and lo and behold the usual result!

…..My empire is crumbling, my international sponsors are deserting me, my authority is questioned, I am held in contempt wherever I go.
Who am I: Barak Obama or Gary Bettman.
Agree should have been blown dead…….but again they stand and watch the Pens. Knock them over for goddsakes
Why? So they can get called for interference?
Here’s how bad that call was:Don Cherry thinks it should have been whistled dead.
One other thought: just remembered why I didn’t miss Crosby when he was out…he’s a sneaky little whine-a$$.
Good night all.
AGO HABS…
Who let Price down (besides the refs):
Gio – 4
Gill -3
Weber -3
Pleks -3
Cammy -2
Looking at the replay, even Letang seems stunned that the goal counted.
Fire Pearn again!

The Habs should bitch about that call.BUT. Being the organization they won’t… They should.
We got hosed without a doubt, but then again we blew a 2 goal lead and yet again didn’t take advantage of our powerplay chances. It never should have came to this.
So the ref is telling us that he never lost sight of the puck, from the other side of the net, when it was under Price…
WYF!!!!!!!!
Gio -4 with Gill, Weber and Pleks at -3. WTF is happening here??
Had them 3-1. How many shots did we get in OT…….0? Need some big changes or more of the same upcoming.
Price should have wrapped that stick right around the Refs head!
“If you’re not the TOP DAWG, the view never changes”
Wow. Mtl didn’t deserve the W but neither did Pitt on that goal. Really awful call.
But don’t let the way this game ended cloud your memory about how thoroughly dominated we were. Too many passengers today. This team isn’t good right now. Maybe not good at all.
Pittsburgh is the best team in the league and we brought them to OT, there are positives to draw from this.
25 before 14
Sucks, but you can’t say they deserved to win, can you? They had two pretty borderline “no goals” already … what goes around comes around.
Price allowed four goals and was very justly named the game’s second star … think about that. Pretty sad on our Habitants.
Full Breezer 4 Life
Yup. I’ll need blood pressure medication soon from watching this garbage. Glad I didn’t spring for RDS this year.

They lost me 2 quarts of rum, better make it up next year with a cup!

What a surprise the refs help out the Pens
