Last night’s keys were Price not saving the day for the sieve-like D in the 1st. RDS mentioned a “great save” after it was 3-1. Too late for the team and too little from Subban last night. The sophomore jinx rearing its ugly head?
Wouldn’t Asham look good on this team? Can’t believe we traded him for the Polish Prince (can’t spell his name and had to call him something).

JM and PG are determined not to add any grit or sandpaper to this team. Ryan White is out for a long time and they could’ve picked up Eric Nystrom . I really believe they think they are playing in a swiss league . Oh well, if we do finish last, which is a strong possibility, at least we’ll have a chance at the first draft pick and the Molson’s might consider changes.
Looked like we got caught flat footed and stunned after the first two quick flames goals. Price was screened on two goals top line needs to lead this team. Rest may follow. Gunna be a long 2 weeks without key vets.
And to all that are saying the kids on defense are our problem, you couldn’t be more far off. Diaz emilen and weber have the best numbers on our blue line. Gill and subban played bad

last year Cole only had 2 goals and 6 assists in his first 10 games. Not sure why people won’t give him a chance. Does everyone think he should score like 3 goals every game or something!!!!!!!
Last year Gomez had 8 goals. I think we should give him another chance too.

Things to be hopeful about: the year the oilers made it to the final, they lost the first 8 or 10 games that year. If we can do the same, maybe they’ll purge JM who is only slightly more hockey-savvy than a manekin and half as emotional. Everyone plays with someone new every night. Sh!t. Has this really never been brought to his attention?
that stinker was for all of you whooping it up after the game in the Peg..unforced errors created those 5 goals..not good offensive hockey…team looks terrible in 2 of 3 games..D is small, soft, weak and experience and the O is in shambles….injuries are always a problem..more of a problem when you are playing on the knife’s edge….

just back from the game, not exactly sure where to start, there was only one or two players that really stood out from tonights game, plecs, and maybe emelin, i was probably the first person to say let hammer go, and boy o boy and i regreting it, our defense is in serious need or some veteren defense, the kids looked awful tonight, including subban. also would like to add in, plecs on the point on the pp, awful idea, and moen on the first line? ohh boy terrible, i think our pp will lack some punch until markov comes back.
we need serious help on D. we lost too many quality d men and have way too many new guys on the back end. Subban is still a rookie, diaz, emelin and weber that is four of your top 6. that is a problem.
On the bright side, pleks and eller both played well.
Gomez looks like the gomez of old. if we continue to slide after 25 games or so I think he will be outta here

Anyone thinking the players are playing to have the coach booted!! Gainey in Montreal! Wonder what this is all about. We got problems. We have the youth but we do not develop it in fear that it will cost us wins. Look at what Philly and Boston have done with there changeovers. The field got stronger folks especially in the East. I can see our team finishing 10th this year. Should we be sellers. I know its early but its reality.

someone have to remind these guys before a game that it’s not a practice, it’s a real game that’s where the problem is. when they don’t know what can you expect, don’t forget at the start of every game JM remind them and you should get a few wins.

If the object of the game is to turn over the puck, then Montreal is the best team in the league. The passing was down rite brutal. When I look at this team I see so many players that should be in the AHL. We sign Cole for a retarded amount of money and let Hammer go. Cole had Stall not Travis Moen playing on his line. This team will not make the playoffs with out major changes.
1. Fire JM
2. Try and get some NHL Defence
3. trade half of the players under 6 feet tall
This list will take to long to finish. It’s going to be a long year.

I honestly prefer the Habs playing Contender, or Near-Contender teams. They get up to play those guys regardless of Conference. Out of Conference, non-playoff teams? We’re toast every time.
Team must break that habit to move forward, too many points gifted to our opponents for no reason.

I hate to tell you Serious we would get smoked by a contender right now. Our D is in bad shape and our saving grace power play is terrible. this team needs help on the back end or we will be in a big hole in a month.
It doesn’t sound like markov will be back for awhile and with our current core we won’t be able to beat the good teams.

I get what your saying but our current Defense is a little inexperienced. They should have been up for the Leaf game as those are important points and they only played 20 minutes.

I turned the game off and tuned out of HIO after the 4th goal in the 2nd, for what I saw up until that point was a Habs team unable to win puck battles and kept to the outside by a Flames team that plain and simply out hustled them.
I was thinking, “at least they’ll come out of the period without a goal against. That’s progress, right? ”
Then the Flames out hustled the Habs dipsy doodlers once more to take away any thought of a comeback win for the home team.
I think they’ll be toying with .500 for a good while. It’ll be interesting to see whether they stay there or whether they stray from that line, how far and in which direction.
