How many back to backs did the flopper play this year? I’m thinking 0 but may be wrong. He’s the one more likely to choke tomorrow night, in case you forgot that easy shot he couldn’t handle and got the lucky early whistle. We have his number and are in his head bigtime. Initially I wanted the Hawks to win but I’d like to see Luongo have a huge game and get the win.
He had two rough games but he also had zero support.
Game 6 was more of Schneider’s loss than Luongo’s. The OT winner was deflected and the D got beat to the rebound.
I’d have no problem with a Habs Nucks final. We are 2-0 against them. Keep the Canadian teams alive. A lot easier to cheer on the Nucks than the Laffs for me (not that I have to worry about that in the next several years), but a lot of people coast to coast supported the Habs last year when they were the only remaining Canadian team
Everyone is talking about how boston’s top line arent playing well but i really dont think that they are that bad. they are just being outmatched. our top line is amazing pleks ak and cammy rarely have a bad shift and they continue to get chance after chance. its crazy how well they are actually playing. ive noticed when boston’s top line get to face the Eller line you notice them a lot more. i dont think any one of boston’s lines could handle our top line. anyways it was good game by the habs , they had a lot of pressure and the handled it well, i think they will be a little more relaxed playing in boston! all we need is the first goal. i expect a win! its just how the story is told.
It’s about time someone gave credit to the Plex line instead of constantly saying the top line on the Bruins is playing bad or choking. Same as a month or 2 ago when we played the Caps, for the first half of the game you don’t even hear Ovechkin’s name, Plex and Halpern get hurt in the second and all you hear from the announcers for the rest of the game is OV this and OV that. ( Plex Cammy and Halpern were our shut down line then).
I know a lot of us (and I use the word us) have been on AK46 the last few games, but I really believe he is playing hurt after he took that nasty hit in Game 3 (or game 2).
Having said all that, I did like his moxy late in the game after a terrible 1st period and lay that big hit and have two solid chances from the slot. This guy can play. I don’t think we should give up on him, I have seen him develop his 2 way game year after year.

AK is playing awesome. he has played well every game. Hello everybody! he has been one of our top players for sure. there is no way boston’s D like playing against him.

For all the Cammy bashers over the last month, maybe some apologies are in order. Leading the 2012 playoff point race at the moment with 9 points in 6 games. I was the one who said he was slow to get going after his return from injury last season before the playoffs and look what happened, not that I like to say “I told you so”.

Good luck to Lapierre and the ‘nucks
Habs looked pumped in the first, as they always seem to do. Their speed is a big factor when they have the jump and fresh legs at the beginning of the game. Of course, Gionta’s goal that was called back was a result of that kind of speed.
The second period was a parade to the box and momentum for either team seemed hard to get. Usually, this is where the speed of the Habs begins to wane a bit and the weak goals seem to come (and it did). But with the bone-head behaviour of Lucic, we had a long pp and got the go-ahead goal.
The third period was filled with worrying moments. Spatch looks old, tired, and slow. He doesn’t fit and I hope the team dumps him over the summer. What made me most nervous was all the behind the net and down low time the Bruins were getting. But, with the brilliant work of Price and some average defense, we squeeked out a win.
Why can’t we score an empty-netter???? All year long…
