And how long will Hamrlik and Spacek (who has had many a bad games) play for the Habs at their age ? And how tired will they be at seasons end! And can Spacek even defend himself or others…no I think not Mr Berkshire.
i liked o’b, particularly the fact it gave us another set of knuckles besides moen. i wish he had subbed in a few more times and really wanted to see him in the conference finals last year vs philly. that said i’m sure playing with Liles isn’t hurting his performance and +/- (see: komisarek, michael, paired previously with markov, andrei) so no point rehashing it. i hope gauthier is planning on using the cap space he gained from the trade to acquire someone sturdy to back up moen (and cammy!) on bulk up our d.

“blue chip prospect” is to retain any meaning at all, then it cannot be used to describe small centres drafted in the third round putting up merely decent stats in a soft league like the Q. Carey Price was a blue chipper. Bournival is a middle-grade prospect, maybe.
It’s all part of a two stage disease common to the this region.
Stage 1 is Wishwehadaphobia. Common symptons include whining and complaining prefaced by the phrase, “I wish we had (fill in name of player here)”. The player in question is usually an untouchable on some other team, in the middle of a long term deal, way beyond our Cap capabilities, whose best days are behind him or simply a plain dumb idea to begin with.
Stage 2 is Wishwehadntaphobia. Common symptoms include even more whining and complaining prefaced by the phrase “I wish we hadn’t got rid of (fill in name of player here)”. This player is usually some washed up, penalty magnet, over-the-hill, Cap sucking has-been or again simply a plain dumb idea to begin with.
You wanted O’Byrne to be the second line center? Just kidding Timo, I get you, but he wasn’t going to break into our top 6. And Bournival looks damn good.
Any guy wears the CH and it’s pretty much standard operatin’ procedure for the OCD-afflicted, knee wobblers to fall to pieces if and when he’s moved. Oh, sweet Jeebus, whatever will the Habs do without that guy?
OB’s a good shit. He’s playin’ for Colorado. He’s happy there. The Habs got a decent prospect in return. Four quarters for a buck. Neither is ever likely to be the difference between a Stanley Cup and a hole in the wall.
Stay focused and keep yer eyes on the effin’ prize. The only guy who needs to feel frustrated today is Eli Mannin’ or yer average Loafs fan, assumin’ the latter is even any longer capable of actually sensin’ frustration.
Avs gotta keep their heads up. There’s a PKHeatSeeker™ lurkin’ out there. Subbang, baby!
Two daughters, son, daughter-in-law and grandson coming over tonight to watch the game – all Habs fans. I’ve walked the dog, brought in some firewood and stocked the fridge. RDS is a beautiful thing. The hapless Loaf fans up here pay through the nose for the self-inflicted torture of watching over 80 Loaf games. I pay $2.49 a month for all the Habs games plus about 15 others.

Notwithstanding that the Habs will always be my team, I hope O’Byrne makes many people eat crow tonight. His statistics indicate that he already has made some eat crow.It was an epic mistake to deal him to another team.
It;s a shame Habs don’t play western conference teams more often. I mean… playing caroline or atlanta is fine once in a while but there isn’t any appeal in that.
Is there a problem with Weber and Picard sitting? I mean, if OB was doing as well as he is doing in Col we’d be saying Weber who? Ah… still saying Weber who?
I always liked Obyrne so I have no trouble being happy for him, kind of bummed we even traded him. Mind you I understand it, given how many d-men we have. If we kept Obyrne then Picard, Weber or PK would sit.
It’s a shame we couldn’t have developed Obyrned instead of signing Picard though….

Both teams playing game number 33.
Hmmm who do we all know who wore that sweater for both clubs??

Note the new digs! but yeah I’m still on Twitter!
If the Caps lose to Ottawa tonight, they really suck.
you’re using the word “fan” loosely
Why so negative?

And how much are the contracts of Hammer and Spatch per 7 or 8 million combined…..
Wasn’t too long ago that everyone wanted him gone.
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.

And a Patriots win as well. Enjoy
Mr. Boone;
Soory my friend, but it is a sweet day when the Steelers lose. Only sweeter – a Habs win.

***Subbang!!!***
The real question is WHY DIDN’T HE have a spot on the Habs and why couldn’t we have kept him for next year?
I’m glade you agree:)
Vick wants a dog! Unfreakingbelievable……………
Love Markov….but we all knew he was gonna get hurt. It’s like clock work!

Hey Boone! Knock off with the football and get some comments going here. Where’s our pregame primer?
NFL blech! ;>)

If they knew Markov would go down Obyrne would have gotten a shot. Bad luck really.

Who schedules a family party on a Habs game night? You need to find you another family.
Is there a problem with Weber and Picard sitting? I mean, if OB was doing as well as he is doing in Col we’d be saying Weber who? Ah… still saying Weber who?
I am not unhappy for OB. I am unhappy habs traded him instead of giving him a fair shot… you know, kind of shot Gomer is given.

Stafford? That was Stanton.
How about dem chokin’ Giants……that K will be mopping floors next week.
Because Hamrlik, Spacek, Gorges, Gill, Subban, Weber and Picard were all outplaying him. That so hard for you to understand Mr. Rubin?
