The Boston stranglers

Five games against the Bruins this season.

Five Ws, the latest a 5-2 victory that wasn’t the laugher the score suggests.

Fresh from the first healthy scratch of his career, Mathieu Dandenault scored two third period goals to bust open a tense, one-goal game.

Canadiens move six poits ahead of the Bruins and have outscored them 24-10 this season.

First star: Mike Komisarek – a monster when the Bruins tried to up the physical ante.

  1. Ed says:

Good one. Let the rumours begin.

  2. Habs-Kat says:

Wooh, Powerplay! I always get excited for these against the Bruins.

  3. the_vipah says:

Savard needs not to turn into the boards with a player checking him. As soon as these morons stop this crap the hits from behind will pretty much disapear.

  4. Mattee. says:

Excellent lob by smoks, I think the other guy was supposed to head it in.

  5. Keith says:

Who’s your Daddy INDEED! 2-0 Habs LOVE IT!!

  6. Shawn S says:

2 not so beautiful goals, but goals nonetheless! 2-0!

  7. Habs-Kat says:

Lapierre! He’s hot, but what a shot by Higgins!

  8. Mattee. says:

That’s what you get when you go to the net! Wait… did lapierre get it?

  9. Habs-Kat says:

That was Kovalev’s 40th point of the season.

  10. habsfan2442 says:

    YES SA

  11. Habs-Kat says:

    Looove that powerplay.

  12. Mattee. says:

    YES! Pleksssss

  13. Mattee. says:

    or…. nothing at all.

  14. linp says:

That’s what you have with Smolinski and Brisebois playing. No hit at all.

  15. Mattee. says:

Koivu is playing big tonight though. I miss O’byrne too.

  16. Habs-Kat says:

Very ferocious game so far. Habs are getting the worst of it though. Maybe having Kostopoulos in the lineup would’ve been a good idea. And I also miss O’Byrne.

  17. Shawn S says:

The Koivu line is really beginning to click. Tenderness just needs to finish.

  18. Shawn S says:

Great first period so far, dominating them right now(besides the gorges blunder.)

  19. Mattee. says:

I’d give up my High Def for Ovechkin… good for Washington though.

  20. MikeL says:

2nd pre-game in a row that Pierre McGuire mixed up the Kostitsyn’s.

  21. J.T. says:

    They’ve beaten them like:
    -a dusty rug
    -a dozen eggs
    -a three-legged dog
    -a hippy’s bongo

I just hope tonight’s not payback night.

The only thing I can celebrate about Ovechkin’s signing is that Don Meehan gets none of it. He must be crying tears of bile.

My favourite quote of the day: On TSN’s OTR today, Lansberg said nothing will change in Toronto because “The black cloud is raining money.” Beautiful

I hope the boys come out fast and pot a couple early. They need the two tonight.

  22. Steiner says:

While I completely agree with much of what you said, and especially that Carey Price has a fabulous career ahead of him – I think we were/are potentially looking for that guy who can just score, score and score. The way Ovechkin can. I think this was less about finding a bonafide superstar and more about finding ourselves someone who can produce the way Ovechkin can.

The way I see it, is that the Habs dont need a “franchise player” the way Ovie, Crosby and Lecavalier are. Our franchise *is* the superstar so to speak.

  23. Habs-Kat says:

Just wanted to address the Ovechkin/Signing a Superstar issue.

I’ll agree that every team that wins a Stanley Cup needs a real bonafide superstar player that could potentially have a Hall of Fame career. We have one of those, but he’s not going to pay immediate dividends – Carey Price. He’s got what it takes to be one of those in time and even if we traded for a big name player this season, we’d have to give up a lot to get him and we’d once again be in a position where the Stanley Cup seems far off. Its our luck that our superstar is in goal – probably the most important position in the game – and probably the only thing holding down the Ottawa Senators. Name me a single Stanley Cup winning team without excellent goaltending.

We do have a strong core of young players that have the potential to be stars in The Kostitsyns, Higgins, McDonagh, and Komisarek. To me, our Montreal Canadiens have a future like the Detroit Red Wings. We’ve got a handful of excellent young players that can develop into an explosive offensive team, responsible defensively, and best-in-league goaltending. Not to mention Andrei Markov reminds me a lot of Niklas Lidstrom.

I’m not too disappointed that Ovechkin’s not coming to Montreal, because we have a Stanley Cup contendor in the making without him and we’ve got our own potential franchise player in Carey Price.

  24. mrstewart61 says:

Update on Ovechkin signing: 13yr/124m!!! We can now concentrate on signing him as an UFA in 2021 when he’s 35.

  25. Uwey says:

    My thoughts as well.

  26. Mattee. says:

“hmmmm, so we’re playing a big, tough and rough team today are we? Let’s see, why don’t we substitute a player who’s been working hard, hitting hard, fighting, killing penalties and playing his best hockey of late for… hmmm Smolinksi. Yep that should do the trick. A little padding for when Chara rams his into the boards, a nice soft player, gentle like a pillow… Also, I want to see what that Corey Locke can bring to the press box, he should slide right in, I gave the kid a fair chance after all, a whole 6 minutes.” – Carbo

Nothing against Dandenault, I like what he’s done, but Kostop should be in, no question. All I have to say is Smolinski better be 100% on the face offs.

  27. von says:

Unfortunately I will be missing tonights game to go to a concert! Hopefully the boys play hard again tonight. Playing on the road seems to be their thing so hopefully tonight is no different!

    GO HABS GO!!!

  28. notbigbird says:

I have a bad feeling about tonight. They’re overdue against us. Maybe I’m wrong. Again.

  29. arcosenate says:

warren zevon would say a red headed stepchild so I have to as well. it’s true, forget the ovechkin free agent signing rumours and move on to the ovechkin to montral trade rumours. $9.5 million over ten years.

who cares, we’ve got the bosom brothers andrei and sergei, that will prove a fantastic tandem for years to come.

    go habs!

  30. showey47 says:

kind of sucks for locke who got a whole 6 mins of ice time against the hawks with less than ideal linemates. Locke should be playing as a winger instead of a center. In last season’s calder cup playoffs locke was second in the league in points which he did as a winger, not a center. Corey obviously has offensive talent, you don’t put up those kind of numbers at every level without it. But he doesn’t have the footspeed that similar players like st.louis or briere have or else he would of made the habs 3 years ago.

He needs to play wing with offensivly gifted linemates and get some powerplay time, playing 6 mins and having wingers like t.k. is a waste of time. Koivu couldn’t do anything with wingers like t.k. and streit, how is locke supposed to?

  31. howtathor says:

Well I’m glad to see that there are TWO teams that suck on home ice 😛 No logic in resting Tom the Bomb tonight or Locke for that matter. TK played his best game against the Hawks’, really messin’ em up in there own zone. Carbo has to been the most blindly loyal coach when it comes to playing vets (Dandenault, Smolinski, Brisbois).
I don’t understand calling up Locke to look good in the press box. Give the kid a break!
That being said, we DO have 3 excellent lines intact, although I’d love to see Latendresse and Lapierre together with Higgins and Ryder moving up with Koivu and Kostitsyn. Both K’s are creative puck movers who can get the big guy some quality chances! Always look forward to games in Boston, one of the great hockey cities! Go Habs!

  32. Cable Guy says:

We have too many guys that can play with our club and thats the problem. No way should Tom K sit after that effort he put out Tuesday. What more does the guy have to do to stick in the lineup?

  33. PattyBoy31 says:

    lmfao….a red headed stepchild………….hahahahaha

  34. r_jacques says:

    ticket question:

    habs faithful,
My girlfriend and I will be in MTL for the Columbus game on Feb. 23rd but recently have discovered that there are only single seats left at the Bell. Since I have been a quiet observer of this site since early last season I figured this would be a place to go for any tips on acquiring 2 tickets side by side. Also, beggars can’t be choosers, but good seats prefered to ‘nose bleeds’ Thanks everyone.

Montreal has looked confident lately. Goals are up, young players are responding to their lines, leadership from the veterans is proven to work. No specific comment from me about players.. we got 50 points!

    – to you from failing hands we pass the torch, be yours to hold it high!!

  35. Mike says:

haha, this is what a “friend” told me, there are some people who decide not to go to the game and will “make arrangements” with you to get rid of their tickets.

  36. Steiner says:

So. I’m skipping my class to watch the game. What I was doing taking a Thursday night class – I must have been crazy.
And while not Habs news, I feel I must just say that my (far-fetched) Ovechkin-in-Montreal dream has officially died. It’s being reported by RDS. Apparently he signed for six more years today….

    On to the next.

  37. ZepFan2 says:

“Apparently he signed for six more years today….”

It’s worse. He signed for 10 years.

  38. Mattee. says:

As for class… I had the same problem last semester, still not sure what the proffesor looked like…

  39. fun police says:

don’t you just love how the sports writers in the “centre of the universe” keep on talking about the weak estern conference. it kills them that their team is brutal, old, no real prospects and a lame duck gm. Because the laffs stink, “well its a weak conference, so they can still go on a run and finish fourth”. wake up.
many of the local montreal media (the ones that rhymes with drench) have been calling for gaineys head for two years. every once in a while it is nice to look at gainey, compare him to ferguson, and smile knowing the habs have an actual plan and the marbles to stick with it.

  40. Shawn S says:

Wow 3 powerplays in a row, we are getting a cheap one against us soon.

  41. Shawn S says:

lol@ that being called for a penalty. knew that was coming.

  42. the_vipah says:

Theres that brutal call we all knew was coming. Well the refs always suck and I guess tonight they are gonna suck for both teams.

  43. Habs-Kat says:

    Argh, a slow man’s penalty.

  44. the_vipah says:

There was no hook there. You can see in the replay he barely even brushed the guys stick. Terrible call.

  45. Habs-Kat says:

Yeah… Huet and puckhandling… not compatible.

  46. Habs-Kat says:

Well it was a slashing call.

  47. the_vipah says:

Woops well then I guess it was a REALLY bad call 😉

You need to touch the player to slash don’t you?

  48. Shawn S says:

Kovalev needs to be on the ice more for the PP. The pleks line should have started that PP,

  49. Habs-Kat says:

God, I love Lapierre. His hustle is unbelievable.

  50. Mattee. says:

Huet with the clear. that’s new.

  51. Rugger says:

Huet channels Price – great clear at the end

  52. arcosenate says:

completely agree habs-kat, lapierre learned his lesson in the ahl, he wants to stay up and it shows! i hope we keep piling it on and don’t sit back in the second…

  53. MikeL says:

That Tim Higgins is pretty good eh

  54. fun police says:

too much icetime for the fourth line. brisebois gave the puck away twice. don’t know why he’s back there instead of streit. that way locke or kosto plays upfront where they belong. lats been getting lots of chances lately, not putting too many in the net. markov is fun to watch.

  55. Habs-Kat says:

    Haha, and Jeff Gorges too!

  56. Ed says:

Was he not Mike Higgins just a few games ago?

  57. cfposi says:

Wow…havent posted in like FOREVER. Move to the UK now and FINALLY got my slingbox up and running. Can someone explain to me why the hell does NHL Center Ice not run in Europe?? You’d think they’d want to open up that market….anyhoo…good game tonight!! I’m loving how our habs are playing…finally! Too bad about AO tho…yet another superstar we miss out on. any idea WHO will come and play here?

“It’s time for your Montreal Canadiens to reach into their jocks and feel around for a scrotum and its content.” – Boone

  58. Mike Boone says:

I think I’ll just use jersey numbers from now on.

  59. Ed says:

    Ryder & Lapierre played 2:50 & 3:33 in the 1st period. WOW!

  60. moser17 says:

Do you think ‘Maxim Lapierre’ means “Lays the Law Down Like A Rock”?

    I do.

  61. showey47 says:

no kidding every time i see breezer on the ice i absolutly cringe, if carbo puts him in the lineup it should only to play second unit powerplay and very sparinly 5 on 5.

  62. cfposi says:

NICE hit by Komi….god that guy is mean!

“It’s time for your Montreal Canadiens to reach into their jocks and feel around for a scrotum and its content.” – Boone

  63. Habs-Kat says:

  64. linp says:

    wow Smolinski got to go.

  65. showey47 says:

what a brutal elbow, should of been a major

  66. cfposi says:

    Shame…ok, hes ok, GO PP!!

  67. Habs-Kat says:

Nevermind, looks like he’ll be okay. But still, seeing the big man go down is not fun.

  68. showey47 says:

kovy is jut poison on the powerplay, he should play the entire powerplay it would just be that much more lethal

  69. cfposi says:

As long as the first and third periods are good…not like last year when only the first period was good.

  70. JB_15 says:

Every time smolinski is on the ice, the Bruins dominate the play. He has twice given the puck directly to the other team right in front of the goal and Huet has bailed him out both times. This guy is unequivocally the worst player on the team and Bob needs to bite the bullet and send him to Hamilton or put him on waivers. This guy very nearly single-handedly blew our lead.

Keep an eye – each time he’s on the ice, the puck stays in our zone.

  71. cfposi says:

Go easy…smokes first game back…geez, no wonder guys don’t want to play here! How quickly we foget how good he was at the beginning of the season…he ain’t lecavalier you know!

  72. cfposi says:

and on a team with 11 players 25 and under, we can use every vet we can get…Smoky will pick it up.

  73. Sehs says:

I guess one might have to cut him a bit of slack since he just came back from an injury. He might be getting back in the swing of things, it is his first game in a while after all.

  74. JB_15 says:

Bryan smolinski was never good at the beginning of the season. It is no coincidence that when he was out of the lineup the team improved. He lacks energy, it goes well beyond making errors with the puck. He has zero intensity and it shows. He lazily skates towards the puck, and with one hand on the stick just sort of wacks at it. He drains energy and cant keep up with dandenault.

  75. showey47 says:

Bob’s only mistake was underestimating his youth, if he knew that chipper was gonna be this good so soon he never would of signed smolinski. The same goes for gorges, he looks alot better than breezer out there. But did any of us expect so much from gorges and chipper this season?

  76. Ali says:

    BREEZER! Strikes again!

  77. linp says:

Another one of those Brisebois give-away

  78. cfposi says:

Lol…I see the Trap has even put the Boone bloggers to sleep 😀

  79. Ali says:

hey, hes been out for a while, maybe he forgot what team hes on and thought that he was setting up a good scoring chance

  80. NLhabsfan says:

Yes I am starting to fall asleep.

  81. showey47 says:

what a great play by komi

  82. JB_15 says:

Wow. Komi. The guy is a warrior and future all star. That was a fantastic play.

  83. Ali says:

This is the Kovalev that I had envisioned playing for us when we got him, he’s simply a joy to watch every night.

  84. Chuck says:

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  85. MikeL says:

Shawn Thornton just pulled a Steve Downie on Hamrlik

  86. Ali says:

first thing that popped into my head.

Bobby Clarke is cheering somewhere in an old folks home.

  87. cfposi says:

Old time hockey is right….jeez…wicked…def worth staying up ’till 330 in the morning 😛

  88. NLhabsfan says:

Boston getting physical in the second…Only difference I am seeing.Goon squad is out.

  89. showey47 says:

habs powerplay ok lets get some insurance

  90. Sulemaan says:

And the Boston goon show has begun. It would be great to send Kostopolous on the ice to deal with the Thornton cheap shot. Wait a minute! He’s not playing. Dandenault/Smolinski to the rescue!

  91. Mattee. says:

Ya but wait till u see Smolinski take those faceoffs, watatow!!! Allright, i’ll be nice… for a couple games…

  92. showey47 says:

  93. Chuck says:

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  94. cfposi says:

    WOOT! God hes good!! Reborn!!

  95. NLhabsfan says:

    That’s it make em pay!!

  96. Mattee. says:

I will give a dollar to every person who thought that wasn’t going in. anyone? anyone?

  97. Keith says:

The powerplay is a thing of beauty 😉

  98. Forlando says:

apart from the 3 goals the only good thing is I have seen is the attitude of the guys when Saku was hit. It shows good team spirit.

  99. Ali says:

    I gotta get a Kovy t-shirt next time i goto a Habs game…

and the best news, next year is UFA year for Kovy!

  100. Chuck says:

Nice to hear the Ole in the other guys’ building!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  101. yathehabsrule says:

Do the scouts not get the word out to their teams’ penalty kill uiuts to …i don’t know…maybe keep someone on the Kovalev side of the ice??

  102. Keith says:

As I like to call them…the Boston Goons

  103. Ali says:

Quick! edit your post and delete it before they realize!

  104. showey47 says:

i agree but i wish they would wait till the final buzzer.

  105. Chuck says:

    Shhhhhhhhh…. don’t tell!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  106. Chuck says:

    Horrible luck for Huet!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  107. Forlando says:

Dammit and I was just telling my wife Huet was sharp tonite….can’t break the one soft goal a night habit I guess…

  108. Chuck says:

What sucks most is that the original shot wasn’t even close to the net.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  109. cfposi says:

Booo about the goal….but YAY I have a picture now 😀

  110. Chuck says:

C’mon… you can’t blame Huet for that one!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  111. Ali says:

    Oh Komi, you’re awesome man…

  112. nick says:

    BOOOM! Says the Komasaurus

  113. the_vipah says:

Oh boy more crying about punches in hockey. Im sure hamrlik did nothing at all to deserve it either. Probably no sneaky little stick in a bad spot or commment about this or the other.

Bottom line, wipe your tears. It was nothing.

  114. Keith says:

Bodies are flying everywhere! WHAT A GAME!!

  115. Habs-Kat says:

    SON OF A %@#&$!
Komisarek is gonna give me a heartattack.

  116. MikeL says:

Komisarek is a god damn monster

  117. cfposi says:

poor Komi man…taking a punishment tonight!

  118. Shawn S says:

I hear Mike Komisarek is the monster in the new movie Cloverfield…

  119. linp says:

At least Huet scores a goal

  120. Habs-Kat says:

I laughed out loud. Nice one 😛

  121. Chuck says:

Should be one hell of a third period!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  122. 24 Cups says:

Carbo, I only ask one thing of you in the third period. No defensive shell, please. We’ve got them where we want them. Keep taking it to them, shift after shift.

    The Original 24 Cups

  123. nick says:

They’ve started with the goonage a little earlier then normal… 3rd period is gonna be bloody.

The good news is that even though the 2nd wasn’t great… it was a helluva lot better then it’s been in recent games.

  124. showey47 says:

agreed, we have all seen this scenario way too many times. Boston can’t score if we are playing in their end.

  125. Shawn S says:

Just payin homage to my man krusty

  126. 24 Cups says:

Hey Forlando – that was not a soft goal – that was a fluke goal. Off the boards, then off the back of his skate.

    The Original 24 Cups

  127. the_vipah says:

How you could call that fluke of a goal “soft” is beyond me. Even ward is laughing about it in the intermission interview.

  128. Chuck says:

Nah… in their building, when you’re outnumbered in the stands, you have to pull out the entire arsenal!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  129. Forlando says:

Sorry, but I don’t agree that’s a soft goal, his skate should have been on the post.

  130. PattyBoy31 says:

I’m doing a habs prayer that he doesnt get hurt. And if he fights chara I hope chara gets 1 punched and is out for the rest of the year. But then again, stay away from chara, just get streit to shoot a “stray puck” towards charas face

  131. Chuck says:

To read Boone’s assesment of the shot, you’d never even guess that it hit the end boards. :)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  132. PattyBoy31 says:

Is Jimmy Bonneau on call for the next game vs the bruins?

  133. Habs-Kat says:

How come everyone’s jumping on the league this season over the violence? My parents tell me that it was way worse years ago and everyone loved it and accepted it as part of the game. When did the hockey world suddenly get so soft?

  134. Chuck says:

You mean you DO agree that was a soft goal. 😉

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  135. PattyBoy31 says:

I just wish we had more guys to fight for us. I’m all for the tough stuff, but we need guys other than Komisarek whos a fighting threat

  136. Forlando says:

Actually, Carbo has not been using the “turtle” in the third periods lately…specially because our second periods tend to be weak…

  137. Forlando says:

LOL you got me there hahaha

  138. Yeats says:

It wasn’t pretty, but it went in!

  139. Chuck says:

Huet was off the post because he caame out to block the original shot from the point. I’m willing to cut him a little slack on that one.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  140. RiverviewCanadien says:

I don’t mind the violence, but players did it with no helmets. Different type of players I think, alot tougher

  141. Chuck says:

I wonder if Huet has a bonus in his contract fo scoring a goal. :)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  142. Mattee. says:

I like good hard hits and head to head fights. I don’t like cheap shots or late hits. Play within the boundaries and rules of the game, and mmmm it’s a beautiful thing.

  143. nick says:

they should bring him up JUST for the Goons game… err… Bruins.

  144. J.T. says:

Good thing Komisarek is two parts scrap iron, one part ball bearings.

Markov’s diagonal pass to Kovalev on the PP. Patent pending.

  145. yukonhab says:

Komi is the toughest player in the league, pain threshhold is beyond belief. Some more punishment will be taking by the Bruins….i haven’t felt this good about this team tonight as i have felt in 15 yrs. Wow…just need a little Price and a new Koivu and we’ll be in the Big Show for sure. Sick habs!

  146. RiverviewCanadien says:

Reading your post made me shiver. This is a GREAT game by our beloved HABS…

    GO HABS GO!!!

  147. Mattee. says:

Koivu looked very good in the first period. I couldn’t catch the second period though… any word?

  148. cfposi says:

    I LOVE Komi…but Phaneuf is tougher….just sayin’ 😉

  149. cfposi says:

ok…lets put this one to bed…lets go Les Boys!

  150. cfposi says:

I kinda miss Juliens bald head behind the bench…he had a rough lineup that year.

  151. Mattee. says:

He was never a bad coach. Good character. Cared for his players and a good motivator. He didn’t deserve to go.

  152. NLhabsfan says:

Did someone say Ryder didn’t pass.

  153. cfposi says:

    Dang it….

  154. DYCSoccer17 says:

stay in your P*&(^PYR#A&YPUYRP net Huet…DAmn IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  155. the_vipah says:

    Woops another fluke goal.

Looks like it may be Bostons night afterall

  156. Shawn S says:

    Huet! Leave the puck!!

  157. linp says:

Do tell me Huet is already tired

  158. cfposi says:

    Weak one too :(

  159. Sulemaan says:

Can Huet PLEASE stay in the bloody net…

  160. Chuck says:

Ugh… short side from there? Not cool…

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  161. RiverviewCanadien says:

That was a soft one. Huet is making me eat more words tonight with that.

  162. Forlando says:

Ok..if the first one was not a soft goal…hope you guys don’t call this one a “fluke”…btw I like Huet…but he gives one softie a night like it or not.

  163. Chuck says:

I like softies, but only when you’re talking about ice cream cones.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  164. cfposi says:

Be nice for the Habs to regain possession or something…and maybe keep the puck for a bit…

  165. nick says:

Savard is eating alot of glass tonight

  166. the_vipah says:

Three times now that moron Savard has turned his back on a player HE KNEW was coming then whined about it.

I hope he ends up in the hospital, what an idiot.

  167. Habs-Kat says:

Has more to do with Boston being desperate than the Canadiens playing bad.

  168. RiverviewCanadien says:

    Melt down!

  169. Habs-Kat says:

    Now thats not nice.

  170. RiverviewCanadien says:

    Yup, not the hospital thing

For sure, second part, no one wants to see that

  171. Mattee. says:

I’d retract that last line. well, the first half of it anyway.

  172. Forlando says:

Don’t panic guys Huet will close the door now. just watch.

  173. Chuck says:

Best open ice hit I’ve seen a Hab throw all year!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  174. cfposi says:

Hope you knocked on wood with that comment! >:/

  175. Shawn S says:

There is nothign I hate more than Carbo’s supposed Defensive shell we play of a third period, where we play with our backs against the wall for the entire period until the opposing team finally scores the tieing goal, and off to another crapshoot of an OT/SO. Cmon Carbo, grow some onions and play some offense in the third, stop protecting a lead that won’t be a lead soon enough!

  176. the_vipah says:

Well how else is he going to learn? Obviously the refs aren’t buying it.

I guess my real hope is someone doesnt *really* take advantage and put him in a pine box or wheelchair instead of just the hospital.

  177. RiverviewCanadien says:

    3P 15:00: One-goal game precludes gooning

Think Chara will serve more time, or just Komi

  178. Mattee. says:

soccer jersey habs-kat? we should be best friends.

  179. cfposi says:

WOW….haven’t seen a Guiness commercial in Canada in YEARS! Cool…oh and the game is good too 😀

  180. Keith says:

This type of game reminds me of the great Hab, Bruin tilts I saw as a kid back in the 70’s. Such hatred.

  181. Yeats says:

Yo River Dance: Yea, he was OK for the first five minutes, but you forgot the Nashville corallary. If he let’s in a softie, all bets are off. I noticed that you ragged on me late last night on the five-minute rule, but went on to use the same logic to rip into Price on his first appearance back in Hamilton. One goal on first three shots less than 5:00 into the game. Might want to spend the $50 on a logic class at your local community college, it would be money well spent. Question: Did you pet the big black dog before your did other things to him?

  182. Mattee. says:

i knocked my head on wood. fell sideways against the table.

  183. Habs-Kat says:

    I’m a soccer player :)
    Can’t skate.

  184. RiverviewCanadien says:

Anyone else missing O,Byrne in the lineup tonight?

  185. DYCSoccer17 says:

    And here comes the “shell”…

we’ll be lucky to get to OT.

  186. RiverviewCanadien says:

    It iiisssssss nice

  187. Forlando says:

I hate Smolinsky with a PASSION! please get rid of him now, signing him was a mistake playing him is a stupidity.

  188. cfposi says:

C’mon…lets see a bit of Tits – Koivu – Tits

  189. cfposi says:

    See…Boone agrees with me 😀

  190. DYCSoccer17 says:

    Koivu is a freaking retard.

    Why is he captain?

  191. MikeL says:

When will Saku’s stupid penalities end? He seems to get them at the most crucial moments.

  192. MikeL says:

    I can’t stand him either

  193. Mattee. says:

Likewise. well, the soccer part. I can skate.

  194. Sami says:

All It matters is the W

  195. Mattee. says:

I can’t stand him either either.

  196. TommyB says:

    Even the B’s fans are chanting….Hal-ak, Hal-ak, Hal-ak

  197. RiverviewCanadien says:

I never ragged on Price…what posts are you reading? I was showing everyone that said Price was INVINCIBLE, that he is not. It only took 3 shots on him, AND it went to OT. Everyone ragged on Huet for the same things. And Price was supposed to have the AHL figured out RED THE POSTS!!!

Now Boone/Dave/Hickey, is this shit from Yeats allowed on this site?
“Might want to spend the $50 on a logic class at your local community college”
“Question: Did you pet the big black dog before you did other things to him?”
IF this is Ok then HabsInside/Out should be ashamed.

Why are there so many hateful people out there. That sucks they cheer for the same team I do, I am embarassed that they have fans like you. Montreal I apologize on behalf of all of them…

  198. Yeats says:

Why are there soooooo many hateful people out there? Boo hoo. Your other comments directed at me, had they been delivered in person my friend, would have had you on the deck spitting chiclets. Make no mistake about it you candyass. You’re just a dope, plain and simple, nothing sexy at all! You want to trade barbs with me boyo? I suggest you get your sorry carcass accepted to an Ivy League School and actually get a degree, in Art History if you must. You’re a wise ass in a very small pond who is way out of his depth. BTW, your knowledge of hockey and the Habs is encyclopedic at best.

  199. Yeats says:

Did you, or did you not post this yesterday?

3 shots on goal and Price had already let one in, I thought everyone said he had the AHL shooters figured out…the game had to go to OT for the win…wow with Price in nets, should have been a shutout

No need to respond, you just broke the needle on my jackass meter. Damn, those are expensive to replace.

  200. RiverviewCanadien says:

give me your address punk, and i will deliver :)

  201. RiverviewCanadien says:

i was making a point to all who thought price was unbeatable, not ragging…he is human

  202. the_vipah says:

    Nice dive Chara.

  203. Chuck says:

    That wasn’t a dive.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  204. Mattee. says:

Koivu needs to stop with the bad penalties. It’s becoming a once a game thing.

  205. the_vipah says:

Oh yeah it was. Anyone who has played hockey would know what that was, he felt the stick hit his ankle and went for a little splash.

  206. showey47 says:

also noticed chara looked at the ref before he hit the ice, but saku should know better

  207. cfposi says:

My man Saku better make up for that with a Goal!!

  208. Ed says:

Koivu takes a D zone penalty. Ryder must be benched already as Koivu was playing on that line with Lapierre & Higgins. Ryder has only played 8:43 so far, & only 9 shifts, the least by any player.

  209. MikeL says:

  210. DYCSoccer17 says:

    hahahahaha….way to hustle Dandy!!

  211. Mattee. says:

  212. Forlando says:

  213. NLhabsfan says:

    That hurt!!

  214. Keith says:

    YEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!! WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  215. the_vipah says:

Lol talk about soft goals. Thats atleast 2, maybe 3 on the saves percentage leader in the NHL.

You guys whining about Huet need to pocket your tissue.

  216. cfposi says:

WHAT A GOAL!!! That was a big F-You to Carbo for benching him last game!!

  217. Chuck says:

    Thomas pulls a Huet!

    (Sorry… I couldn’t resist!)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  218. Habs-Kat says:

Pheww, insurance goal. I needed to calm my nerves.

  219. MTL LOVE says:

hmmm.. eeeeeeeet le but!!! bout friggen time les boys!
    Nicccceee and Dannnddyyy! :))

  220. RiverviewCanadien says:

that was a softy by the #1 Save% in the league

  221. Mattee. says:

I would like to point out that we share the same name. And that is all.

  222. Shawn S says:

There you have it people…the system works, dandeneault with a perfectly executed goal, just the way Carbo drew it up.

  223. moser17 says:

That almost makes up for scoring on Huet with his behind in the playoffs two years ago.

    I hold a grudge.

    … good ol’ Dandy.

  224. showey47 says:

thomas looked like huet on that one

  225. cfposi says:

Shit…Habs keep scoring like this, Le Cage au Sports is gonna go out of business!! 😛

  226. cfposi says:

    One more ’till free wings!

  227. MikeL says:

WOW, Did I just see that? Sergei Stevens

  228. Yeats says:

Pickup at its best! Dandy put reverse English on the puck!

  229. Mattee. says:

you better believe the system works.

    I Heart “System.”

  230. the_vipah says:

You know you are a soft player when….

Markov KO’s you on a pretty soft hit. 😉

  231. moser17 says:

    funny stuff, funny stuff.

  232. Shawn S says:

    I Heart “System”

  233. Mattee. says:

they better replay that because I missed it.

  234. Habs-Kat says:

I have a feeling Lucic vs. Komisarek is going to be a rivalry that we’ll be seeing for many years to come. I’m loving it.

  235. Hot_Pie says:

What an effin’ hit by Sergei!!!!

  236. NLhabsfan says:

    Gee did that hurt:)

  237. Chuck says:

Man… when Kosty the Younger is throwing his body around…!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  238. Shawn S says:

Savard has had a rough night.

  239. Mattee. says:

yes, I too enjoy watching Lucic taste ice.

  240. Mattee. says:

You just need to believe, just believe.

  241. Forlando says:

BTW Komi is the real deal with the gloves on…but so far Lucic is the real deal with the gloves off

  242. Rugger says:

    two minutes to Goon time

  243. the_vipah says:

Wierd how Boone would say the Bruins have no luck. Both their goals were 100% luck. I don’t know what else you can ask for.

  244. Shawn S says:

I think the “system” would work better with an older more experienced team. But the young habs are too prone to make mistakes. They need to keep the foot on the pedal.

  245. MikeL says:

Now just hope no one gets hurt

  246. Mattee. says:

That B-E-L-T commercial is starting to tick me off.

  247. Chuck says:

I had one earlier today. Not bad.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  248. cfposi says:

wait for it….wait for it…ok…here goes (clears throat)…na na na na – – na na na na – – hey hey hey, goodbye!

    (starts a boone blog wave)

  249. Mattee. says:

Wait! I may have just had an epipheny. I have the answer to why we got Smolinski. Ladies & gentlemen: empty netters.

  250. showey47 says:

i tried to order one today but you can only get it for breakfast

  251. Mattee. says:

    would you recommend?

  252. the_vipah says:

Nothing pleases you guys. I give up.

  253. Chuck says:

I bought it with 5 bucks that I found on the sidewalk outside. Worth every penny. :)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  254. Naila Jinnah says:

    Hahaha nice.

  255. the_vipah says:

The bruins are running Hammrlik all over the place this game. He’s obviously said or done something to piss them off.

  256. Rugger says:

Is it me or has the Hammer been ao the ice for the last 6 minutes?

  257. cfposi says:

  258. cfposi says:

suddenly wishing they had Le Cage here in the UK :(

  259. Chuck says:

    Le icing on le cake!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  260. Keith says:

    Oui, OUI, mon ami!

  261. Keith says:

What intensity to this game tonight. Probably one the best Habs, Bruins game i’ve seen in a long, long time :-) AND now the icing on the cake 5-2!!

  262. Habs-Kat says:

    Free wings!

  263. moser17 says:

bad night for chickens in the greater Quebec farmlands.

  264. cfposi says:

Just realized…do they do free wings for away games? Methinks they should! 😀

  265. Shawn S says:

hahaha, I love it. 4th line just embarrased the Bruins. Smokes to Streit to Dandy. Love these habs.

  266. showey47 says:

    what a goal

  267. linp says:

Carbo is genius. Dandy scores two goals!

  268. Remember theReal Habs says:

Well I like to see the Habs beat the Bruins of course,.but what a bad habit they have of having 3rd period Meltdowns…………sure glad the 2 goal lead was restored,.less than 2 minutes to go & these guys have been flying & hitting all night……… Go Habs Go
Now that’s better 5-2 Now Hope they keep this pace up ,the rest of the season

  269. moser17 says:

    Good lord! He scored again!!

Okay, I’m almost ready to give up the grudge for the arse-goal on Huet vs the ‘Canes.

    … almost.

If it wasn’t a goal to go up by three with a minute left.

    … good ol’ Dandy.

  270. MikeL says:

Julien is a smuck. Throw fourth liners Thornton and Reich out after the 5th goal. What a joke he is

  271. Mattee. says:

    Dandenault you silly goose you.

  272. Ed says:

Dandenault is getting like Koivu. He did not smile on his second goal. Is he unhappy too? :) I am watching it on TSN. Did he smile in French?

  273. the_vipah says:

God can you people stop crying about this stuff? NOTHING HAPPENED. AGAIN.

  274. MikeL says:

Crying? what are you talking about? Secret Bruins fan or something?

  275. Shawn S says:

He’s been fired on two seperate occasions under shady circumstances. I can’t blame him for being jaded, I just wish he wasn’t trying to get our beloved habs injured.

  276. RiverviewCanadien says:

They redeemed themselves for the bad second period
    Nice game guys

    GO HABS GO!!!

Playoffs are going to be exciting to watch!!!How can I get some tickets for that?

  277. moser17 says:

“Did he smile in French?” LOL

  278. PattyBoy31 says:

yeah, too bad to see that, but maybe hes just being modest?

  279. PattyBoy31 says:

haha, it seems the post game ritual for the habs is giving Komi face washes

  280. Forlando says:

Ok, the Bruins knew we were going to embarrass them…but c’mon…Dandy with two goals??? that is beyond humiliation

  281. cfposi says:

Ok….3am here for me, so I bid you all goodnight!! Wish I was home :(

  282. NLhabsfan says:

The guys played the same game as the Bruins…dump and chase and made them pay.

  283. Keith says:

I’m glad you had a bad feeling about this game because it was highly entertaining lol!

  284. Forlando says:

He was giving Carbo attitude…not good if you ask me.

  285. showey47 says:

he isn’t our number one center , pleky is

  286. Mike Boone says:

Maintaining my perfect record of NEVER making an accurate sports prediction. I haven’t picked a winner since Secretariat in the Belmont … and I bet him to Show.

  287. NLhabsfan says:

Koivu not all that bad but he is the heart and soul of this team.

  288. Forlando says:

    He isn’t, Pleks is.

  289. Forlando says:

dammit beat me by one sec. lol.

  290. Chuck says:

It’s all semantics. Nothing to get worked up over. Call his the second line if it makes you feel any better.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  291. moser17 says:

Still watching TSN. Ovechkin looks like a hobo they found to put in a suit. Get a haircut and a shave with that $126m sometime, there, Alex.

  292. Mattee. says:

I really hope they do win the cup with him as our #1 center. I love that guy. He should hoist it for all he’s done.

  293. Bill H says:

    LOL good one Mike.

  294. Rugger says:

To paraphrase Carbo in the pre-game on the Boston Channel – We have 3 top lines

  295. RiverviewCanadien says:

I could not sign off without saying how good Kovy was tonight and is….

    One word…AMAZING!

  296. Bill H says:

He didn’t look very pleased for a guy that just signed for $126M.

  297. Habs-Kat says:

It gives him style when he’s playing though.

  298. Ed says:

Komisarek with 7 hits & 2 blocked shots. This guy is amazing. He is one tough son of a gun.

  299. Bill H says:

Kovy was great tonight, but Komi was the best. He was amazing. He punished Boston big time.

  300. Habs-Kat says:

    I loved his line:

“Hockey is my life… and money… money’s money.”

  301. Mattee. says:

What? They’re rating the shootout for the allstar skills competition! If only kovalev… ah if only.

  302. moser17 says:

No kidding, eh? he says “I’m very happy to be in Washington. It’s like my second home,” with an expression that looked more like he was saying “My visa expired and I’m being sent back to Russia where my house just burned down.”

  303. Chuck says:

I hear that Mike had also predicted that the 1976-’77 Habs would have an average year.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  304. Mattee. says:

“mo money mo problems” – Michael Scott

  305. moser17 says:

Are you serious? With that tinted visor he looks like a cross between a hillbilly and a storm trooper!

  306. Habs-Kat says:

    He looks cool!!

  307. J.T. says:

Komisarek needs to be extended for a long period of time this summer. No waiting around for him to get even better next year. He’s arrived, and he’s ours!

I’d sign Streit too, for at least two years.

And good for Dandenault…just when I was thinking he was as useful as Viagra in a convent.

Huet looked nervous. I don’t like the way the goaltending is going these days.

  308. moser17 says:

lol it’s all good. One man’s “fool” is another woman’s “cool”.

Seriously though. Ovechkin = Slapshot meets Star Wars.

  309. Chuck says:

Chicks love the rough-looking boys! :)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  310. moser17 says:

You’re right on. Nothing says “sex appeal” like the “I don’t feel the need to groom myself” look. … something about it …. intensity of focus, maybe? poor hygiene, maybe? hard to say …

buy a razor Alex. Women will still love you.

  311. Chuck says:

Maybe it’s the 125-million dollars bulging in his front pocket. :)

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  312. moser17 says:

By Jove! I think you’ve got it!

He makes how much?! Get that wookie some skates and a hockey stick!

  313. RH says:

Oh man! What a completely entertaining game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Habs DOMINATED the lowly Bruins, even when they tried to goon it up. I just want to echo the sentiments of some other posters on this site:

Sign him to Ovechkin money, I don’t care what it takes……okay, maybe not that much, but, you know what I mean. I only wish O’Byrne was out playing tonight. This would have been a good coming out party for the kid.

  314. RH says:

Oh yeah, and how about Kostitsyn taking a page out of Komisarek’s book and throwing a HUGE check on that Bruins guy? Awesome!

On another note though, Marc Savard should have gotten at least one diving call in this game. I’m not one for hits from behind but, come on! If you’re going to play THAT soft along the boards, knowing that you’re going to get hit, and fall, hoping to draw a penalty, then I hope the refs are starting to take notice. The league doesn’t need drama queens like that.

  315. ebk says:

Now that was a hockey game folks!

Canadiens lack size but not heart as they gave as good as they got. And Komisarek in the true spirit of Christmas gave way more than he got. What a game, probably the best one I’ve seen him play.

Guess Dandenault answered the question of who belongs in the line up, Kostopoulos or him. Playing one of the most physical teams in the league, the Habs answered ever bell that rang and rang a few of their own. I said earlier today, I liked the 4th line and for once in my life, I was right. Play them until they stink up the joint and then bring another body in.

This team still has issues before we start planning the Stanley Cup parade but Scoring and Toughness are no longer on that list

For all you Huet bashers out there, Dandenault’s 1st goal is what a soft one looks like. It still suprises me how much crap is dumped on either of our two goalies. They are not part of the issues I mentioned earlier.

    Thanks for Reading

  316. Rick Chartraw says:

Fully agree with previous post re: resigning both Komisarek and Streit now.

The time to negotiate with Mark Streit on a two or three year deal is right now. He is getting better and better, and you cannot say enough about his versatility. The pass to Kovalev tonight was a thing of beauty. Our 1st line is not as good as most teams in the NHL, but our 3rd and 4th are miles better.

The longer Gainey waits, the more money he will have to spend. I would think 3 years for 4.5 million would be reasonable for Streit, but I really have no clue how much he is really worth. I would give Komisarek a Mike Richards like contract.

  317. RH says:

Yeah, those were junk goals on Huet. The first was an absolute fluke and the second…well….just a lucky bounce I guess. Huet’s clearing attempt before that goal hit a stanchion and bounced over Koivu’s stick but, there was something not right with that area of the boards. The puck was bouncing weird off of there on more than one occasion tonight.

  318. RetroMikey says:

We’ve got enough talent on this team to worry about getting Lecavalier or Ovechkin (who just signed a riduculous contract with Washington). I’ll take Plekanec, Higgins, the Kostitsyns, Streit, Komisarek, etc.. on my team anyday than signing a superstar. We’ve got something special in Montreal and let’s not blow it! We are slowly starting to see our young guns blooming into our superstars who will guide us to competitive hockey for years to come and we will be sipping the champagne from the Stanley Cup sooner than anticipated. My gut tells me we are going to surprise in the playoffs. Guy Carbonneau is geting better every game and is my vote for Coach of the Year.

“We will win the Cup only with Carey Price in the nets”

  319. Hot_Pie says:

We really need to sign Komisarek ASAP.

  320. 24 Cups says:

Komisarek and Dandy played great but I think we should also mention that Lapierre and Kovalev also excelled. Kovy’s wrist shot on the powerplay was unreal. He once again was consistently playing at a high tempo and was weaving his magic all night long. Lapierre was like a spinning top, I just love the energy he brought to the game. AND Markov played 28 minutes – basically half the game! All in all, this had to be one of the most entertaining games of the year. And it was a four pointer to boot. Not much that anyone can say in a negative way about this game and the way our guys performed.

    The Original 24 Cups

  321. RH says:

Unless someone can give me a better pair, I have to think that Komisarek and Markov are THE best defensive pairing in the NHL right now.

While I do think that O’Byrne has miles,(or kilometers if you will), to go before he can elevate his game to that of Komisarek and Markov, based on his last performance, with three fights, and some tough hits, I think he would have fit right into this game.

  322. RH says:

While I think the Western conference might be the better conference of the two, this is still a tough conference to play. Every team is so close, and the Habs have to win as many games as they can.

  323. Chuck says:

“Might” be better? Boy, is that ever an understatement!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  324. RH says:

I believe that Lapierre, with the proper coaching and more experience, can turn into a third line, shut-down whiz. This guy has grit, can skate and has quite the nose for the net.

  325. RH says:

    Okay! Is the better.

  326. Chuck says:

    It’s 4-0 after the first.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  327. 24 Cups says:

Guy – I would definitely start Huet against the Rangers on Saturday. By the way, they got smoked 6-2 tonight and the Lousy Leafs are getting hammered 4-0 in LA. (get it!) I just loved watching tonight’s game – pure hockey entertainment from start to finish. Just like in the glory days when Captain Cournoyer played. Now there’s a guy who had wheels.

    The Original 24 Cups

couldn’t agree more especially after all the BS the French media put him thru

  329. DYCSoccer17 says:

We need to lock Komisarek and Higgins up.

    5 year, $22.5 Million a piece.

  330. sidhu says:

Max was awesome – I particularly enjoyed it when he was mixing it up with Chara. We need someone on our team like that, he can get under the skin of opposing players and gives us a lot of character. He hasn’t taken stupid penalties like last year (knock on wood) and is even contributing offensively. The guy skates hard every shift.

  331. sidhu says:

I think Alex is the best all-around player in the league – he hits, skates, plays every shift, and truly loves the game.

That said, a girl friend of mine from DC said she met Ovy and that he looks like a “monster.”

  332. Chuck says:

Eh… the goaltending on both sides left a lot to be desired tonight. I’ll give Le Dandy the cherry for his extra effort in coming out of the pressbox.

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  333. Sehs says:

    We scored 4+ goals, again

The laffs have allowed 5 goals, again

What more can one want in life?

  335. DYCSoccer17 says:

I’m actually rooting FOR the Leafs the next couple years.

So long as they suck and are at the bottom of the league, they will have a legit chance of drafting Tavares.

I’d much rather see them finish 9th in the Eastern Conference year after year…

  336. Chuck says:

    An interesting strategy!

“A Vezina banner must hang from the rafters!”

  337. Habs Suck... Less says:

Don’t let it worry you… the Leafs brass couldn’t pick a good draft pick and keep him if their lives depended on it (which ironically…)!!! The only draft they know how to pick is the Molson kind, and those don’t stay in the system for long either!!!

  338. DYCSoccer17 says:

Our Boy Alex (Y)Emelin for AK Bars of the Russian Elite League has 0g and 1a in 40 games. He has over 100 PIMs. He wears number 74 and is the only defenseman on the team that wears a 4 in his number. As you can see in the following video, he pulls a “Dale Hunter” on a player who scores. It leads to mayhem.

  339. howtathor says:

We beat Boston at there own game! Is that all you got Lucic? Even with Tom the Bomb out of the lineup, we took all they had to dish out and gave it right back. I think they were a bit stunned that they couldn’t run us out of the rink. Ho hum, a lesson to them in that we will not be intimidated. I guess there will be another puckless practice in Beantown! Although you can’t fault them for not trying, we elevated (or devoluted) our game to their level. This team is awesome as they learn on the go. Claude Juliens face could say a thousand words (cuss of course!). Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, like the one who sent his goons on with 5 mins left in Mtl to rough up Kostitsyn.
    Karma baby, Karma…

  340. sidhu says:

I recorded the game on my DVR and am so happy we beat those a-hole Bruins. I can’t stand Chara and I’m glad we beat the Bruins in their own arena.

Komi was huge for us tonight. He may be the closest the NHL currently has to Scott Stevens. Le Dandy played very well, as did the Kovalev line. I was a bit concerned that the game was too rough for Sergei, but then he rolled over a Bruin at our blueline in the 3rd period – great open-ice hit.

I still feel that Brisebois does not belong at all. For example, he has skated by the net on whistles while Bruins have stopped and stood in front of Huet. As a defenseman, his job is to protect his goalie and clear any rebounds by positioning himself between the goalie and the opposing player. But, he just glides by like he’s going for a morning stake.

Let’s hope we have some other Habs named to the all-star game tomorrow.

Bring on the Rangers! Go Habs Go!

  341. Remember theReal Habs says:

What a fantastic start to the road trip, they played unbelievable, other than not scoring enough goals the were by far the better team……….Yikes is this the type of crap that gets written, this team was ill prepared for the Sharks ( here’e where the excuses can be put in) .hahaha
The Habs are taking a huge gamble on Price,.Really think of every goal scored on this guy and a lot of them are rather weak. and for years I’ve heard the (very famililar leaf like excuses) of how well the habs played but didn’t win,….I still think the team needs some guys up front who can put the puck in the net on a consistent basis,.
Let’s face te Habs (inspite of a shaky hold on 1st for now) are a flakey team, Alaways on the verge of being good,…..What’s next the familiar Canuck Chant “Wait till next year’………I ama Habs Fan but have yet to see a ‘Team’ for a long long time now,the ’93 Miracle not withstanding,…..Consistency (at the top) is just not hapenning yet,We are a very mediocre team ,and have a look at where the Bruins are only 5 points back of Montreal.
Looks like were in for another let down year ,Until we get & keep substantial players, they will need a rocking chair on the bench for Saku before he see’s any success with this group, Yet deep down i still want to believe that Gainey is the right answer to rebuilding this once mighty franchise,……Go Habs Go
