Not easy, of course.

Nothing ever is.

But big.

  1. Maksimir says:

All kidding aside… anyone notice Dominic Moore quietly has 16 goals so far this season?

  2. Maksimir says:

Yeah! Bruins 2-0! Go Lucic & Chara.. shite! ‘

    Sorry – wrong website 😉

    • Maksimir says:

Oh thumbs down yourself! It was a joke… aw forget it… I’m going to bed, when I wake up in the morning:

      Habs 4 Atl 0
      Chi 4 Bos 2
      Leafs 4 Buff 5 – just cuz I still hate dem Leafs…

      laku noć!

  3. Bugs says:

So far, so good, but it’s not over, baby.

Chillin like MacMillan, potty-boy says he’s L. B. Potter, esq.

  4. solomio says:

So the Habs haved scored finally and they’re leading the game after 2 periods for which we’re all gratefull however realistically the Habs aren’t playing very well at all.

    • t1tan5 says:

We’re getting good chances and are full value for the lead. I don’t see how we’re playing badly tonight.

    • badbalance says:

Finally winning a game, we scored 2 goals after being shut out 3 games in a row, and you still not happy?

      |Long live the system |

    • solomio says:

What ? You thumbs downers are thinking the Habs are playing well?? You must be joking? Ya better than what they have been playing but they’re not playing well and anybody who says they are has got to remove the rose coloured glasses and stop smoking the wacky backy

  5. SLYDER says:

stop saying “beware the late one”

    …driving me nuts

  6. novahab says:

Sorry this team is still not playing well still can’t pass. Atlanta who are totally uninterested in this game is one goal away from becoming interested. Cammy is just lost out there he has to be hurt and if he is why not sit him and put a skater on the ice.

  7. SLYDER says:

Why O Why Gionta did you wind up for a slap shot 5 feet away from the net?

  8. Gomez is having a great night. The guys are still pretty snakebit though. Pavalec has been beyond shaky and the Habs have had a ton of scoring chances.

  9. Rudy says:

    So close!

“Start the season with a clean equipment bag and a freah bucket of febreze!”-CharlieHodgeFan

  10. Shiloh says:

    Our pp is wretched.

  11. punkster says:

Why do people think PK did something wrong and is “stapled” to the bench just because he isn’t on the PP? You folks have some weird notions. Expand your horizons folks.

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

    • HabFanSince72 says:

You have to admit it’s a bizarre coaching decision.

      • punkster says:

To us maybe. JM is trying to find something, anything to ignite a weak PP. PK will be back on the first PP before long but for now I think they have to try different combinations everywhere.

        ***Subbang Baby!!!***

        • SeriousFan09 says:

You know what would ignite a weak PP? A Dynamic, smooth-skating rookie with a cannon on the point. When you can’t buy a goal on the PP, not the time to mess around. If PP was struggling with Markov around, would he take 2nd unit?

          – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

          • punkster says:

Hey Robert, how was that PP doing before he “benched” PK on the PP? Not exactly stellar, right? JM is juggling and trying different combinations. PK will be back on the PP, no question.

            ***Subbang Baby!!!***

          • punkster says:

Oh, and how the heck would we know what JM would do with Markov here. He’s never here. He never has been here for the past couple of season for all intents and purposes.

            ***Subbang Baby!!!***

          • SeriousFan09 says:

Subban (who’s the BEST defencemen we have for holding the puck at the point) with his cannon at one point and Wisniewski at the other is a better setup for a first unit, he’s the only rookie D in team history with a hattie, you’d think his 11 goals would merit PP time.

            – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

          • punkster says:

And furthermore!!!…Or should we all just throw up our hands and attribute it to “JM is an idiot”? I don’t buy that. Many people do and they’re welcome to that view. Thing is JM is doing it for a reason and the reason is not “JM is and idiot” or “PK scored 3 goals in a game” or any of the other wacky statement I see here tonight.

            ***Subbang Baby!!!***

          • punkster says:

Please, I value your opinion so tell me why you believe JM is not playing PK on the PP.

            ***Subbang Baby!!!***

        • JohnBellyful says:

Trying Eller once in a blue moon would be nice.

        • Da Hema says:

          But Mara?

      • punkster says:

Let me go at it from a different angle. Every decision JM makes gets questioned and trashed here by a number of posters. Yet most, if not all, of the charges levelled at him turn out to be false (can’t handle rookies, can’t handle Price, the TMM penalties are his fault, and on and on). So when the accusations start to fly that he’s benching PK for the PP you have to look at it a lot closer. PK hasn’t done anything wrong so he’s not being benched. So why is he not on the PP? And this is where many posters don’t think, they just react with a “Blame JM” response.

        ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  12. hansolo says:

Maybe we needed the urologist back, the PP is not so good

  13. JasonM says:

That Beauchamps award needs to go straight to Hal Gill, also while you’re presenting it to him, offer it to him with another contract year in Montreal.

  14. RGM says:

This is looking more like the team we’ve all been rallying around and supporting all year!

    Carey Price is All Hart!
    Go Habs Go!

  15. novahab says:

Lesson to Subban if you score three goals in a game you don’t get to play on the powerplay. Wow that JM sure can coach.

  16. t1tan5 says:

I think it’s time to use PK on the first wave.

  17. JasonM says:

Can we put PK on for ONE powerplay and see what happens?

  18. BlueRecycleBox says:

    I feel so GOOD!

  19. JIMVINNY says:

FFS, Wiz spent that entire PP on the ice. Why is the best offensive d-man stapled to the bench when on a PP?

  20. novahab says:

Canadians had the advatage in the PP less than 30% of the ganes this year anyone want to bet the leafs has had the advatage closer to70% of their games. yes this is the WWF not the NHL.

  21. Shiloh says:

    Who’s got the penalty?

  22. SeriousFan09 says:

No Subban for another PP, what exactly did he do to piss off JM?

    – I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.

  23. Jim Edson says:

    Is this forechecking ?

Has JM finally loosened “the system” to allow pressure in the offensive zone?

    It’s an epiphany!

…..My empire is crumbling, my international sponsors are deserting me, my authority is questioned, I am held in contempt wherever I go.

Who am I: Mohamar Ghadaffi or Gary Bettman.

  24. sidhu says:

Someone cue the NBA Jam line for Cammy: “Can’t Buy a Bucket!”

  25. Nahlsy says:

Having just seen the picture on RDS, it dawned on me that I want to see Chara and/or Lucic get a delay of game penalty while on an RDS broadcast, just so I can see the picture of one of them with the caption at the bottom saying Retard de match

  26. habsguru says:

Skate to the face! Rechi will say it was embellished.

  27. JIMVINNY says:

Funny – Gomez could have been called for hooking, but instead, his stick in the hands of the Atlanta d-man force the guy to fire it over the glass. Sounds like a penalty WE would get called for.

  28. Bugs says:

It’s official: someone has something on Gomie.

Chillin like MacMillan, potty-boy says he’s L. B. Potter, esq.

  29. punkster says:

Hey, Atlanta just took an O’B.

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  30. HabFanSince72 says:

Remember when we were talking about Penner?

And then the Kings gave up a lot to get him: 1st rounder from this year plus Teubert, picked 13th last year.

Well Penner has 2 goals and 4 assists in 12 games.

No need to do the math to realize that is no good.

  31. Mavid says:

i believe we own the dubious honor of the most two many men…go figure

second place is just the first loser

  32. Shiloh says:

14 times this season – nice.

  33. Mavid says:

@ Nahlsy now that was friggen funny…i am still chuckling over your comment..good one..

second place is just the first loser

    • Nahlsy says:

Would you believe the Boston fans are griping about a Chicago player allegedly saying something to Thornton afterward and they’re all saying he’s a classless jerk for trash talking a guy with an injury… oh the hypocrisy….

  34. larisalapointe says:

Too many men on the ice…….hahahahaha….incredible.

  35. HFX-HabFan says:

Remember, this is the only matchup in the league that features the fourth and fifth overall picks from consecutive drafts.

  36. sidhu says:

Uh oh, did we just take a too many men penalty?

  37. Shiloh says:

Too many men – again??? This is getting ridiculous.

  38. Bugs says:

    Not another too many men?

Chillin like MacMillan, potty-boy says he’s L. B. Potter, esq.

  39. hansolo says:

YOu gotta be kiddin’ me, TMM again?

  40. JIMVINNY says:

unreal. What’s the record for too many men penalties?

  41. JasonM says:

White was at LEAST 20 feet away from the bench! Jesus Christ

  42. Keith says:

Don’t tell me too many men?

  43. DD is so frickin’ slick. Love that guy.

  44. Keith says:

Man! PK is just so gifted.

  45. hansolo says:

Let’s hope with the good work Benny is doing that he doesn’t get a penalty and have his ass nailed to the bench….

Thornton took a skate to the face in Chicago-B game

    • DearyLeary says:

      Yeah, that’s a shame.

    • Nahlsy says:

Did he accidentally jump into Chara? Did Recchi tell him to stop faking?

    • SLYDER says:

thornton kind of leaned and jumped into the skate

it wasnt the skates fault it didnt mean to hurt him – just a hockey play gone wrong and the skate hopes he gets better

the skate called him a bunch of times to see if he was okay but didnt get any response

then the other skate told a radio station that thornton was faking the cut on his face to try and get the skate suspended

  50. Mavid says:

Gomez probably did not like getting booed contrary to what some people think I do believe he cares…

  51. DearyLeary says:

Don’t keep the pedal to the metal, we need to save goals for the rest of the week.

Last week’s fiasco was a direct result of wasting our weekly allotment of goals in the one game vs. the Wild.

    • habfab14120 says:

Don (the dope) Cherry actually stated that The Drought was “karma for running up the score on Minnesota”.
Where the hell is the karma for B-lo who put up 8 the Friday before and followed with two straight shutout wins – or the B’s for their 7 against the Habs? Where, Don, where?
