That’s why they’re the champs

Tough to beat them with 18 shots.

The Canadiens wasted a dominant first period.

You will definitely have to sweeten the pot if you want a proven top 6 forward or top 4 D in return.  The more likely result is we trade our headache for somebody else’s, much like we saw with the Latendresse for Pouliot trade.

What are you implying here?  Just genuinely wondering.

If this game gets out of habs and the caps are way up I hope PK knocks him out like Kane did.

Funny how sk doesn’t care or try but is only one of two hab forwards who isn’t a minus player. The other is moen. Meanwhile darche is a -4 in 5 minutes of ice time and yet draws back in the lineup?

Hey buddy, i dont know even know where to start. First off I listen to MArtin Mcguire who is probably the person the MOST connected with the Canadiens and he said this morning that there are player who dont want to be named who say that this kid doesnt care and they dont want to play with someone who doesnt care. Secondly you have a short memory, he was a problem last season, remember the news paper headline…..

“If Sergei was that much of a problem, he would’ve been kicked in the summer or this season, the way Gainey dealt Grabovski because he was a complete ***.”

he was taken care of, he was sent to Hamilton and told he would be traded. The only probelem was NO TEAM WANTED HIM!!

If Darche is such a farce than why does he have a better goals per game % than sergei??

Man for a guy named serious fan im not too impressed.

My point was that some players still need external motivation during the playoffs. I was responding to a poster who felt the playoffs should be a strong enough motivator for all players, history paints a slightly different picture.

Kessel was called out and benched and it work, he needed the extra motivation. It is only a viable option if Sergei pulls back into the line-up. It seems Martin as left him for dead. I am not coming down on Martin, because there may be other factors at play here, and Martin knows a lot more about coaching than I do. It just seems that Sergei offers a marginal upgrade over the other options (namely, Darche). And there is a chance a home run could be hit by playing the brothers together.
