Matt Groening, “Life in Hell”
I would give anything to see Carey put the lumber to Lucic when that ape parks in front of the net. To watch Lucic limp off the ice would be more than worth the two-minute penalty.
as disappointed as I am with Benny, I am twice as impressed with Eller, I guess the regular season was a good lesson for him, playing very smart hockey
We have to re-sign Wiz — he was talking smack to Marchand, made a nice crisp pass to DD, and had a good fight tonight. Plus he stepped up nicely for goal 1
Although it pains me to lose the Wiz to an injury, knowing we lost him from pounding the snot out of a Boston coward makes the pain a little more bearable.
To Mike Boone: If I may, some constructive criticism.
I love the blog but I can’t always follow what you’re writing about because you’re assuming that everyone reading the blog is watching or listening to the game. In my case and probably some others’ as well, this isn’t the case.
For example you just posted you hope Wiz comes back–what’s that about? I saw he got a fighting penalty but was he injured? On the goals, it would also help to give more than just an exclamation or GREAT GOAL but instead get a bit more info, like what he did or why it was great.
Or this one: “2P 1:45 Post!”
Who hit the #$$^% post??
I know you’re not giving play by play but I think the key turning points like goals should be spelled out a bit more clearly and overall it should be a little clearer.
I swear every time I see a close-up of Brad Marchand and his rosy red cheeks, I think of this guy.
Speakin’ of Baghdad Brad, he just let it be known that the booin’ heard towards the end of the 2nd period was not directed at the Broonz but, rather, at the Broonz fans’ collective dissatisfaction that, durin his tenure as Pope, Pius XII explicitly invoked ex cathedra papal infallibility with the dogma of the Assumption of Mary in his 1950 Apostolic constitution Munificentissimus Deus.
One more period. Stay the course. A thousand points of light.
I’m really happy right now. But I remember the second intermission of Game 2 of the first round last season. Habs scored two early in the first, and were up by 2 goals after 40 against a higher-seeded, more offensive opponent. They looked good to seal the deal on stealing both road games coming back to the Bell. What happened? We lost 6-5 in OT and the series went 7 games. Martin has to avoid a repeat of that. I hope he mentions that game specifically to them…
Not to mention a more blatant hit from behind by Horton on Subban that the refs did not call. I’m sick and tired of the Bruins getting preferential treatment by the corrupt refs and Daddy Campbell
If the Bruins DON’t get a early goal in the third period, the frustration will mount.
Its hard to believe this is the same team that finished first in the North East Division. But then again, the Habs turned up their game a notch and have remain self disciplined and everyone is contributing.
” The Habs will win the Cup ONLY with Carey Price in the Nets
They didn’t have long stretches this year where they were missing 4 or 5 starters due to injury like us. One game I think we were missing 9. If we stayed healthier they would not of won the North East.
And the Hotstove (thinking only from Boston’s perspective of COURSE) blames:
1) Tim Thomas
2) Chara’s absence
They pause so Ron Maclean can deliver an inspirational memo about how Boston went down 2-0 at home against Montreal in the 70s and took the series to seven games because of Don Cherry’s champagne-ordering brilliance.
3) Blame humidity again, mentiona Cammalleri’s crack.
Really? Not ONE WORD about Montreal??
My shock is feigned and rhetorical. Obviously I am not surprised a bit. Nor do I really care much, but it’s tax-time, so the CBC makes me extra cranky.
Cherry and Milbury are still not over that series as you can tell by the hate they have for the CH. It was the only time in Cherrys career he come close to winning anything of importance.
Keep giving us those juicy rebounds Flopper. I was a goaltender and bad rebound control is a result of lack of confidence and just being happy to make the initial save.
i think we will have to kill at least 2 more pp….i think we can get a couple of counter attack goals …but if we get them with 10 minutes left better watch out for hit to injure by boston…
Webber goes to the net and gets rewarded, gotta love that. Real disappointed in Benny, plays nervous. What I wouldnt give to put Bennys skill in Whites body.
OK … Boston finally scored, big deal …now that we got that behind us … DONT SLOW DOWN … I can see them start to coast! Cause if we play the next 20 mins like we did the last 2 mins of the 2nd period … that 2 goal lead aint gonna hold up.
Unbelievable the Bruins are getting away with murder someone in the Media has to call these crooks in strips out. Ron Mclean called it he absolutely called and tried to cover up like it was ajike. Ron knew dam well whats going on with the refs working this game. Pk was hit from behind and Lucy went after his head at the end of the second.

This period is taking FAAAR too long.
Come on clock …. MOVE!
Love Eller!
Eller is awesome. His awesomeness is awesomely awesome.
Boy does Thomas ever get quick whistles. He wasn’t even close to controlling that puck when the whistle went.
Watching this, how many of you actually believe that, if they stay healthy, the Habs COULD NOT win the stanley cup?
Boys, don’t be cute — just take shots at the net! Shoot it next time, Cammy!
Ahh… I remember Weber’s first stanley cup goal. Year before last. Blast from the point in OT (I think) through Thomas’ legs. Good times… kinda..
So, do we understand you correctly Mr. Boone that you are nervous?
Us too….
I sense nervousness too.

That was a trip behind our net on DD. No call. If you call it against PK, gotta call it against Boston too.
No ya don’t! Daddy Campbell said so!

too conservative…the bruin d are ripe for the picking…they are non stop pinching…

how can I a guy still be that active even in the next morning?? what the…??
Crosscheck Gionta behind the play Lucic: what a ‘man’.
the bottom 6 is doing great

I hate this style of play

Time for some Habs offence
hire yannick perreault
I would love to see the faceoff stats of this game so far..
Must be like 70% Bruins wins.. This is our weekness.
It’s only 54-46. Not that bad.
Not quite that bad. Pleks has been good.
Especially in our zone.

Got to work on the faceoffs tomorrow
Apparently even jumping on PK’s back and dragging him down is now allowed.

The kids are stepping up tonight which is what we need them to do.
Sure would be nice to get another one.
2P 12:30 bad change and Price loses the shot
Does this mean they scored?
Nope.
They aren’t calling anything against the Bruins.
Of course not. That would put the Bruins short-handed.
Any of the Boston cowards wanna have a go at the Wiz again?? I think not.
Eller is looking a lot like the next on a habs team ripe with players who being a ‘bruins killer’ is their specialty.
Also, these refs SUCK. So much.
…just like that sketchy save by price, and that hit on Moen. Ow.
“Eller is so good”
agreed.
Do you think Eller is feeling more comfortable or what! Love him calling for the puck and then going for it!
Sopel is money in big games like this.
Heroic PK by the second wave. They were out there forever.
this game is giving me heart attacks..
WOW. That is all.
Hamrlik’s been really good
Cambells minions gonna make sure the B’s have a shot to get back in this.
We have to re-sign Wiz — he was talking smack to Marchand, made a nice crisp pass to DD, and had a good fight tonight. Plus he stepped up nicely for goal 1
Thornton with a free arm around Subban, not letting him move. And now they call him. What a joke.
Terrible play PK!!
gomez line having problems in our zone
Bit of a scramble right now.

Here we go now.

I wondered about the booing. Thanks for the explanation! That Pius was such a kidder…

actually had to run from the garage for the fight and Webber’s goal due to winn9ing kids wanting to eat.
Mr. Biter
Another injury would suck. Hope Wiz didn’t break his hand pounding on whomever he was pounding on. Still can’t believe there was no instigator.

Boone saying “Hope Wiz comes back”, did he get injured during the fight?
I think he was afraid it was a match penalty for a hit from behind on the boards

A couple brutal no calls against PK. And did you know Leonard Nimoy likes fat chicks?
Whats the deal? Wiz got a 2 not a 5 … did he get hurt in that fight?
and wtf happened to the 3rd man in rule? they just tossed out the window?
Yannik F. Weber, 3 goals in his NHL career; all against the fruins!
GO HABS GO! GO HAWKS GO!
Someone below mentioned Weber is awesome. I concur.
Weird eh.. in an amazing way! Good stat!
Need one HELLUVA 3rd period and the SERIES is OURS! Let’s go Boys!
In the meanwhile… I am barely breathing.
We gotta finish this!
Julien running his boys through a practice to the point that one of them was hospitalized. Someones worried about job security
Webber goes to the net and gets rewarded, gotta love that. Real disappointed in Benny, plays nervous. What I wouldnt give to put Bennys skill in Whites body.
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Chara is home having a few more drinks to help him recover from being drunk this morning.
Tommy’s rebounds are awesome.
Bruins are much too concerned with beating Habs up. Maybe if they just played hockey?
Shhhish, Let them do what ever they want, we’re winning
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Right on. I have noticed many situations where Lucic goes for the hit when he should have played the puck. Bad decisions.
Man oh man, PK sure doesnt come across as young in that interview.
I am not an animal, I just reproduce that way.

Two posts and a two goal lead.
Can you honestly think of one Hab that hasn’t come to play?
I love the smell of napalm in the morning….
All for one, and one for all Steve.
I am not an animal, I just reproduce that way.
I love the smell of Juliens career burning in the morning.
huge goal by weber…thomas looks very beatable…pre season next season non stop faceoff practice…gomez line had some problems with bergeron line 2nd

I wonder how much Chara drank after the loss on Thursday to be this dehydrated and sick today.
It wasn’t what he drank but rather consumed. Let this be a lesson to the kids out there: don’t eat raw deer from the roadside like Chara did.
Just got home from work, loving life, and my Habs. Know what else I’m loving? How quiet that piss-hole of a building is.
