How many chances to win?
Hockey is a cruel game.
We lose because we have NO ONE that can score! When will we ever get a marquis offensive player? Cammy hits two Bruins facing the other way! Pleks can’t beat a DMan! Gionta shoots for the dead center of the mass! Gomez can’t beat a blind woman on roller skates on a penalty shot, ever! The guy hasn’t scored an NHL goal since Confederation!
As painful as this is, if we can finally get rid of Gomez, either by paying some Swiss team to take him (maybe Huet’s team is in the market for another free overpriced former-NHLer) or by making him a playing assistant coach in the ECHL, and get rid of JM, it will all be worth it.
So, Carey, the message is clear. If we’re going any deeper in these playoffs, you need to record back-to-back shutouts, because this team is good for one goal a game.
Well, the only thing certain in Game 6 is that we’re gonna get another heaping helping of dickshit hockey from Scott Gomez! Martin will never sit him.
The effort was there. They didn’t quit. But that is likely the season. And unfortunately likely a long Cup run for the Bruins. I HATE THEM. Bruin fans are the worst in any sport. Racist, classless, MF losers.
Obviously you haven’t been to Philadelphia!
Lets see, now I’ll go watch the Red Sox and then watch the Celtics on their way to #18. What other Canadian pro sports team are you going to watch when your Habs crap the bed for good? You seem a bit bitter and you couldn’t be more wrong. Classless, maybe you should look in the mirror as it wasn’t us who booed the National Anthem..you my friend are the definition of classless. And talk about losers…lets go call 911. I won’t categorize Habs fans as one group like you just did about Bruins fans, as much as I can’t stand your team. But you are an idiot. Now go back to your garage and hold the antenna on your t.v. You might miss more replays of our game winning goal!
Second time I’ve seen “Heartbreaker” headlines. Enuff already
This game bites, but there is some real character on these Habs. I really wish we could see what this team is made off but they have too many injuries that may make it difficult to overcome. Not once have I seen this team quit, they battle it to the end injury after injury. Yes every team has injuries, but lets be real, how many teams have lost there best player thats not a goalie in Markov and their best shut-down dmen in Gorges, then our most dominant PF in Pax. Chara missed one game and we saw what we happened to them, Pronger missing this series, we saw whats going on there.
So honestly, we are still very much in this series, we win at home on tues and wed is a crapshoot. go habs go!
Good comment, habs99. You can’t fault the boys tonight — they gave it their all. Bruins got most of the breaks — again! It almost seems as if something’s written in the stars. Certainly hope not. Here’s hoping the Habs bring 60 minutes worth of what they brought in the first half of Game 4 on Tuesday night.
I dont see the habs losing all 3 games at home. I know all the pressure will be on them, but we have been playing with pressure the moment markov went down. C’est la vie!
How many times does CBC have to show Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum watching the game from the press box? Jeepers, it’s bad enough there’s an entire Bruins cheering section on the payroll, do we have to watch Neely and Chiarelli all the time too?
AKost is the reason for that goal. He was lost and allowed himself to get picked. If he’s involved in the play the shot never even comes through. Still, the boys had tons of chances and couldn’t finish. Great game, them’s the breaks. It’s amazing how the Habs have kept this series so close with so many passengers: Gomez and Moen have been brutal all series, Gionta slightly less so. Kost was awful tonight, too.
No it wasn’t, the wiz was chasing up high and left hamrlik alone with atleast 2 bruin players.
Funny, Craig MacTavish just agreed with me.
Awesome game but the wrong team won
Win this for Max!
That was harder to take than the last game. Well, this team has never done things the easy way so why should they start doing it now. Habs in 7! There WILL be a Game 7 back in Boston!
GO HABS GO!!!
Well at least hammmers contract is over this year there is a saving of 5 .5 million maybe we can get a real d man!!!!
Gio has to put that one up high. He gave Thomas every chance to stop it going 5 hole
If the Bruins win this series, my belief in the concept of karma will be absolutely annihilated.
Gomez and Hamrlik, overpaid, useless veterans. I’ll be glad when they are gone.
Some of you prople are so F#KN stupid. It’s really embarassing.
This is current generation of Hab fans?? WOW../sadder than the loss tonight.
“Extremism only serves one’s selfish desires”
Gomez hasn’t scored a goal since February 5th, has 2 goals since Christmas, is -3 in this series. Eller’s all over the ice and looks better every game. It’s well past time they put Eller on with Gionta and gave him someone to play with already. This inability to score out of a 7-8 million dollar forward is beyond unacceptable by now. That’s not even considering the empty net shots Cammy and Plek both missed. They need a forward on their top two lines that can find the net..
18 years and counting!
no one to blame on the habs, even spacek had a good game, if anything Lucic made the nice Pic on that play. there getting luckier at this time than the habs, maybe we will get the breaks for the next two games. i thought we got screwed a penalty or two, chara is arm around gionta in overtime, the bastard likes to hold up players with his stick or arms, those are calls!!!
Habs will win game 6. Game 7 though I make no predictions.
Nobody could have guessed that the bs would be the first and only to win at home. Better luck next year.
Later Hammer, way to leave on a high note!
Gomez to the minors, DD and Eller can duel for a Top-2 spot next season. He either doesn’t care, or doesn’t have it anymore and I don’t give two ****s which it is.
– I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
He is just so bad. I don’t care what the guys in the room say. On the dimensions that really matter. he is a shitty teammate!
Ya, this is beyond ridiculous by now, they need to either buy him out or find a way to trade him (we’ll give you this if you agree to take Gomez from us too). He’s trying, but eventually trying just isn’t good enough out of your top line forwards and Eller’s earned more ice time in this series with his play.
WE’LL GET THEM ON TUESDAY AT THE BELL!
I hate Hammer he just sux!!!!!!1
Roman FFFFFFFFFFFing Hamerlik
Ooh Aah Habs on the war path
That may be the season…
Why did Hammer let him go?????
New D for next season please
Good game, sucky ending…
Hamrlik never covers his guy on those plays. Never.
The guy’s gotten so lazy. Time to get rid of him.
There’s nothing to say except……heartbreaker.
Cmon price had no chance there!!!
tough break, solid effort though
Oy!! So close
D stood still
This one really hurts.
It ain’t over!
Well, Habs in 7 it is.
Carey Price is All Hart! http://on.fb.me/CP31Hart
Go Habs Go!
Support my playoff beard: http://www.beardathon.ca/english/RGM81/profile.aspx
Retire Hammer!! Do us all a favor!!
Not blaming Price here, but he really could have stopped that one.
Name just one goalie who could have stopped it, not even St. Patrick. I really don’t understand why people make comments like that.
I am drunk and the better team won tonight
I think we matched them shot for shot and chance for chance in both OT’s. They just got the lucky bounce.
Announcers giving credit to Chara for his block. That dumb goon didn’t even know where the puck was, just lucky he has size 19 skates!
Promote the Youth, Support From The Veterans and Remember the Heritage!
As usual Carey has to play the entire game apparently – as in scoring goals and making passes too. Gomez season in a nutshell – turnover to lead to the game winning goal.
Juicy juicy rebound.
The puck was rolling. Of course there will be a rebound. How about Hammer leaving Horton wide open.
There were @ least 4 penalties that could of been called total BS officiating!
That is the series, Boston gave the Habs their chance earlier on and they pissed it away. This team needs to get MUCH better to complete. Same thing that’s been said 1000x this last few years.
Could have gone either way. Both teams had chances.
Wow, I finally know what “Cup contenders” are, NOT the Habs. This squad has zero clutch and will never go all the way.
Gotta feel bad for Pricey, he does everything and can’t get help with a rebound.
The Habs were so inept it wasn’t funny.
That hurts. What a game though. This isn’t over.
The better team won … Congratulations to the B’s for winning the game and probably the series, too.
Cammy has missed getting it through about six times – had to happen. Season over.
Walking dead…. sorry Carey!
They stood there and let them score
Who lost the battle in front – Hammer.
Horrible night for him. Put in Mara for game 5.
Cams and Gomez just brutal tonight.
14 just skated over the puck and looks dead, get him off! and Gomez does nothing in front of the net!
Gotta go roof there. Easy for me to say
He shot it in the middle of Thomas’ body.
damnit game on his stick
Timmy arse hole
I yelled out thinking that was a goal
I don’t care if it’s OT, that hook on cam my has to get called.
Recchi liens on him! That’s what VS announcers say as if that wasn’t a trip!
BS!! Where was the call?
Set Lar Zeller up to Win it!
Habs: Possessors of the league’s best PK–now, and for the foreseeable future
Keep the pressure on!
Not much gas in the tank for the b’s
Bruins scrambling, come on boys!
is it just me or are we starting to win the faceoffs now
