A shutout for Carey “Jaro Halak” Price.
Two goals for Brian Gionta.
Two assists for Scott Gomez.
Brilliant game plan, executed to perfection.
thomas does not look like a vezina/hart winner. the moment we get a chance its 2-0
This new generation of B fans are so ignorant. Darche falls and they cheer a big hit???
“Extremism only serves one’s selfish desires”
They only know what they’re told.
Pyatt Eller Moen doing great things
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
cue the gooning….
Wow, the neutral zone is clogged amazingly right now by the road team.
Darche is tough, eh?
Full Breezer 4 Life
A slight breeze knocks Pou Pou down.
Let’s GO. gotta get some shots on TT
Stick broke on the wind-up on Plek lol!
Spacek has been great.
Pouliot literally cannot stay on his feet.
he probs had his heartr broken so hes weak in the knees
Why must Pouliot fall even on simple tight turns
Hopefully Habs get some momentum going and decide to play offence for a bit.
Carey Price is All Hart! http://on.fb.me/CP31Hart
Go Habs Go!
Support my playoff beard: http://www.beardathon.ca/english/RGM81/profile.aspx
gomez is buzzing…fn right!!!
Not what I meant when I asked them To put the puck in the back of the net.
Eventually our PP is gonna click, right?
this whole series is for maxfactor….go habs go!!!
GO HANS GO
Two comments on this page, lovely. WordPress sucks …
Yeah, two will be plenty
New HIO blog format clearly inferior to what we had before
One goal will be enough.
oh well get two
Chips, dip, and beer are helping with the nerves. Gomez has been good!
Super tight d played in the playoffs, low scores.
Can’t believe how little scoring there’s been in the playoff so far. Goalies and defense ruling the day.
That’s what wins Championships!
Still no score Buf – Phi
Outshot 26-14, good Lord. Powerplay to start the third, this is their chance to get some breathing room before the onslaught resumes.
I hate to mention it but the Bruins – and specifically Marchand – have scored a lot of short-handed goals this year …
Bill: Marchand’s in the box. But I hear you – if Boston gets one, they’ll score another in about 25 seconds.
a pp goal at the start of the third would be nice…it would be nice to get a goal from an unexpected source…what a big difference another d that can move the puck like markov would make…
this is when chara said no and we dont care…to put it liberally
Living large in the third period. Life is great.
it goes back to cro magnon vs neanderthal. show them fire and breed them out
I’d say the Habs are very much up inside those Bruin heads right about now. Most of the Bs shots are from well outside, most are blocked and the threat of a Pleks breakout hangs on every clearing attempt the Habs make.
Rope-a-dope? Shades of 2010? The Habs are a frustrating team to play against and the Bruins are going to have to try to goon it up if they want to come back. And that’s where it gets real interesting. Do they risk the penalties? I think they will. And I think that will backfire on them.
I love this edition of the Habs. I loved them in the fall and I love them in the spring.
I thought the Bruins played very well. Carey, once again, is proving why he is an elite goalie. I doubt, though, the Bruins can keep up the pace they demonstrated in the second period over an entire series.
I’m with you, buddy. This team is designed for playoff hockey.
GO HABS GOOOOO!
I don’t care how good Halak was or Price is. It is unfair to be this amount of pressure on your goalie. Someone should remind JM that hockey is a team sport that is played 2 ways!
Going into a defensive shell is not going to win games. Let ’em go on the offensive. We’ve got the speed advantage. Use it!
Does he looked that pressured to you?
Relax. Enjoy the powerplay.
Enjoy the victory to come.
You really think that his strategy?? Seriously??
Can’t wait for game 3…. we’ll show them who the real fans are!
GO HABBYS GO
I’m on Percocet and I’m still on edge! Thanks JM
Pleks had 2 great scoring chances. One even on the PK.
I like the way things are going. Frustration is developing. 🙂
I thought Halak was shorter
YES HABS CAN!!
I swear Halak was shorter
Man they’re standing around a lot. Are they gassed already? They’ve got to pick it up. A pp goal to start the 3rd will demoralize the B’s.
This game is making me do some cardio workout while sitting on my sofa…how much can a heart take during a rivalry game like that…
Alright … we’ve survived 40 … but do we have to SURVIVE? I don’t care what happened last spring … does JM really think allowing the Bruins 25 shots is the best way to play the final frame? seriously? Let them play … the Bruins can’t score from their OWN zone! Play some Goddamn offence … maybe they’ll make it a 2 or 3 goal lead!
This series was (very stupidly) billed as speed vs size.
Well the Bruins look twice as fast as the Habs. And seemingly all of their passes connect. I know the Bruins are adrenaline-rushing from the home crowd and being down 1-0, but there’s no reason for the Habs to be this bad.
Thank JM and his SYSTEM … he thinks allowing 20 shots a period is the way hockey is suppose to be played
40 down – hopefully a PPG to start the third.
Keep it up Habs! 20 more minutes!
Do I have to mention the blonde behind JM in the Habs jersey… she’s dreamy. 😉 Go Habs!
only if she’s wearing a habs jersey http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cr89xbl26g
That period nearly gave me a conniption
Oh my, first he does the Roy hand motion a few seasons ago now he’s doing the wink…
I love Price 😀
I agree, Price is great.
when? to who?
Unreal the number of times they were allowed to cross check Subban. Colon Campbell’s team must be looked after.
That sequence where Horton nailed him rit in the back 10 feet in front of the ref, I couldn’t believe that wasn’t called.
Horton is a complete meat head. I can’t believe he got away with that.
3rd period better be a lot more in their zone.
I would like to say….at the moment I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Thomas Kaberle and Carey Price…
there it is… Marchand will sink the Bruins
I’ve always thought he was a Lapierre type of guy: he’ll score some goals, but not a lot, and his penalty-realted decision making will cost the Bs some goals at bad times.
And if I could, HalifaxHabs: I really am a habs fan. If I could reach into the site logs and dig up my IP, to show that I read the site 10 times a day, I would, but I can’t. I just discovered this site near the end of the playoffs last year, and am just now developing an interest in commenting. There’s nothing like the playoffs to get the blood (or fingers) going.
He scored a lot of goals this year. He’s way better than Lapierre, don’t kid yourself.
Nice wink pricey!!!
I want Hortons head on a platter. I hated him here in SoFlo, and I hate him now.
Have friends that played with and against Marchand. Both say bonified crap sack.
Yeah and he’s a Maritimer (N.B.) like myself which hurts. He reminds me of the original rat, Ken Linesman.
Marchand is from Nova Scotia.
Something against rats?
Time for some powerplay magic. Get Cammy out there and have him wire home a one-timer.
What the hell is Claude Julien complaining about????
And the idiot in Marchand comes rushing out.
subban looks slow, yay rat-face gets a penalty.
Go sit a-Hole
First dirty hit.
Get in the box Marchand, douchebag.
Good call, would have been livid if they missed that
Great save by Sopel.
Ever since their last Pp it’s been all B’s… Heart can’t take it
I’m gonna throw up if this continues.
This is terrible. Habs have stopped playing. WTF!?
All Boston, we better wake up soon or we’ll lose this
Didn’t Muhammad Ali do this to George Foreman in Zaire?
Out shot 16 to 6
Sopel was fantastic there.
Don’t like the trend, enough sitting back.
