[The content of Boone's liveblog of the game v. the Ottawa Senators has been moved here. We apologize for the inconvenience, but there was a necessary change that needed to be made right away, and this is the only way it could be done. Thanks for your understanding. --HI/O geeks]

Yes, it is be part of your profile, and each time you post, you’ll see that pic
Good luck.
I’m also a long time reader, but now a first time poster. I love the site.
You can probably add Crosby to the Habs killer list soon too. I think he’s averaging at least a PPG against the Habs.
Go Habs Go!
We’re not that far away from being a contender. We can skate with anyone in this League and our goaltending is top notch.
Sundin
If they play like this against the Leafs then we should get the 2 points.
Marty Brodeur is the Son of Sam of Canadiens Killers, Patrick Elias is up there too.
Huge game, we stuck right with these guys last time around, and just one bad play by kostopolous was the difference, and he’s more then made up for it since then with his stellar play.
Round II looks like its gonna be a good one!
Boone! TSN stole your headline!
I just like how posting comments is a bit easier.
No Bob Cole! I’ll probably watch CBC for a bit… though I appreciate any tips on my favourites on RDS
-Naila
Another Hab killer Rod Brind’Amour especially in the face off circle along with Mats Sundin
Matt J
John Leclair!
I love the new format for the blog. It’s so much easier to read.
Good start for the second line
Habs Killer… Martin Brodeur
Don’t have a good feeling about this one.
Hope I’m wrong.
Mike,
I vote for including Post Comment Button on the first page without being forced to preview the post, at least on your blogs.
You don’t want to see reduced post count do you
I agree with zamboni, as posted in the intro thread. Love that I don’t have to type my info every time though… some nice play by the Tenderness on the fourth line… where he belongs.
So far, so good for the Habs
-Naila
Also, I’m always disappointed that RDS doesn’t broadcast the anthem(s). It’s an integral part of the hockey experience. I mean, I understand that Charles Prevost-Linton gets old fast, but even if it’s just once in a while, it would be a nice gesture.
-Naila
This should be an exciting PP!
-Naila
I totally agree Naila!!!
and wow, what an entertaining first 7 minutes!!!
I felt the same way!
I cringed. And then… it worked!
Good pass.
great pace to the game so far, that Alfreddson line is great to watch, almost as fun as the Saku line!
Komisarek and Markov gonna have their hands full tonight
Why is Begin not playing??
Huet can puckhandle?! Nice pass!
He was injured sometime last game.
Yes!
Charlie horse
MARKOV!!!!
Excellent goal by Markov!!!!
Wooo whoooo!
Wait… is that Koivu in a fight? Something is very wrong here…
Hammer him, Komi!
WOOOW, Huet is pumped!!
And i like the emotions he showed,
Way to go.
HUET! looks pumped out there!! usually hes calm and collected, rare show of emotion!
Rediculous! Alfredsson had his hand off of his stick trying to draw the penalty!!!
ps: Now I want to have Huet’s babies.
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Cristo is getting emotional
save!!!!!
Nice play by Gui to stop the Sens in the neutral zone.
Kovy how did you miss that?
Technically impossible, but an interesting thought…
This game has been incredible…a pleasure to watch these two teams..
And how did Kovy miss that!?!?!?
AND ANOTHER AWESOME STOP BY HUET!
Huet’s getting a star in this game, that’s for sure… I wonder who’ll win the Molson Cup this time around?
Nice fall by the ref/linesman
What a game it has been so far.
This is like a game 7 in terms of atmosphere.
oooooh… Gerber goes down!!!
How can you not love Freddy? He made that happen!
Love the poppy on the CBC scoreboard… and did you hear the call?
“It’s a spicy afternoon in Ottawa!”
Now I’m hungry.
Gotta love Chippy’s work ethic!
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
This game is awesome! I want to see more like this from these Habs! Starting with the NEXT game.
Chipchura is so solid its overwhelming
Habs should have a PP now, Richardson threw his gloves on the ice
Bouncin’ on the edge of my seat over here!
The excitement is unbearable!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
uh Mike, your blogs gone..
its okay…we got you covered!
If it were awarded for who drinks the most during a game[chuckle] Naila , I’d be a candidate myself…
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Why why why!!!
Does Cristo need to tempt fate?
You’d think he’d have learned…
Love the photo, Mike!
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Go for it boys, another PP…
Another goal would be great.
YEEEESSSSS here comes another goal… PP!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
what the heck is heatley complaining about, after that trip he got away with on brisebois the last time we played each other!!!
Why is Latts on PP and not Kosty?
Seems like lately that other teams are figuring out our PP some. This could be a bad thing if it persists…
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
That near miss with less than 10 seconds left had my heart pumpin’.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Well, that was a pretty useless powerplay, other than for taking two minutes off of the clock.
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Two HUGEEEE periods by the good guys!
Boy boy, Ryder better get good soon or this would be the year where he’d remember it for life as the year he dropped from NHL instead of the year he struck big.
He’s horrible so far.
The Teacher: Watching Lats get up to crusing speed is akin to watching an old steam locomotive try to get a good roll on a mile-long freight train. More coal, more coal…
All is forgiven
I love CBC. They keep reminding us that the Habs are in the top 3 of the league… After Ottawa and Detroit. Oh, how it warms my heart!
Also, I like PJ in the intermission. What I’m wondering is if he flies out to Toronto every weekend…
PJ…that tie…what were you thinking!?!?!?
I totally agree, Alirio, PJ is kinda weak. The slurpfest that has become the Hot Stove almost makes me pine for Al Strachan…Almost.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Well, I do have to say that was one of the most entertaining periods we have played this year. High quality scoring chances and very timely stick-work by Komisarek this period. Markov getting more points, but yes, I do see him leaving Komi alone for a few 2 on 1 opportunities the other way.
Guillaume still looks a bit lost, I don’t know what to say anymore.
Higgins is shooting every chance he gets now, seems to be more willing to do that this year as opposed to last where he would sometimes choose the pass option. Anyone else see that?
YOU HAVE AN AWESOME PROFILE PIC!
PS: “Come on!”
I can’t believe PJ Stock is a regular on HNIC…..
What’s the sports world coming to???
It’s just so much more fun watching the Habs this year. They show up in the first period. No more hanging on for dear life during the first 20 minutes. Good pace to the game thus far.
And I bet it’s in his signature, so each time he posts it breaks all posts that follow it.
But Dru, shouldn’t the board code handle that and not leave individuals?
I know all this is new and it’s going to be refined, I’m just suggesting user error should always be accounted for.
Have to fine Ryder for that last one. He has a “no-deke” clause in his contract.
Pleased to meet you Steiner and welcome to the site. Hope to see you become a regular…
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
If y’all can’t properly close your html tags, we’ll have to turn off html formatting! You’ve got a [/e,] in there instead of a proper [/em]
Dru (the HIO web/tech guy)
What the F*&K was Ryder doing??? A backhand shot?????
That 2 on 1 shows just how bad Ryder has got it right now–he waited wayyy too long on that 2 on 1 chance…
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Fearless prediction: Saku will kick Neil’s butt before this is all over.
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
HOW IS THAT NOT A SLASH ON KOVALEV, THE OTTAWA PLAYER SLASHED KOVALEV IN THE BACK OF THE LEG AFTER THE PLAY???
Awesome save by Huet on that 3 on 1 and good rebound coverage. He seems on his game thus far…
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Sorry Naila! I’m still getting used to this thing! Even Boone said that we wouldn’t be perfect this afternoon…
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
LOVE the passion from Kovalev…
Ottawa Montreal is turning out to be better then Toronto Ottawa was!
PJ has his moments of insight, but I wish the guy would learn how to talk! Sometimes I feel like hitting him in the back so he can spit it out…
Patiently awaiting our next victory and ultimately the cup!
Better yet yeats: “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can…”
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
Habs are playing like they had this one marked on the calendar for quite some time……everyone is up for it! They’re skating like only the Habs can and they’re taking no crap from anyone. Let’s get the second period going!
PJ Stock is one of the smartest hockey people i’ve heard in a long time. Very refreshing from the usual Cherry, Cole and Neale tandem.
How did CBC get the idea to have PJ Stock to analyze games? Did they have a reality TV challenge?
But he seems to know what hes talking about
TommyB: You know someone on the Sens is gonna get his can kicked before the afternoon is over.
Great 1st period!! Markov pulled a Souray, a couple of give aways but then a beauty of a goal. Saku in a fight is not a good thing, gives me anxiety attacks!
yeats…you got anyone particular in mind?
Yeats,
Very very good analogy, I couldn’t have said it better.
The one thing I find really perplexing is that when he actually DOES get up to speed, he seems to think it wise to all of a sudden stop skating 2 inches from the defender and then proceeds to attempt to deke the defenceman at a standstill, and loses the puck 99% of the time. It is SO frustrating to watch him do that….
Although the frustration is mitigated by the fact that he usually only gets up to speed once a game, if that. Somehow I can do without…Lappy was much more entertaining, and brought more to the team I think, especially if his role is on the third line now.
I really think it’s because that you’re used to the idiots on CBC. It’s saying a lot that you think PJ makes them look stupid…
By the way, if you want another good pic of Crysby, check this one out: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/Jason/Pittsburgh%20Penguins/crosdumbtit.jpg
Hey Moey…look, I have a pony too!
TommyB: My money is on Schubert or Neale.
its sad how the commentators try to “justify” the slash…
What happened to the blog?
I think that Boone’s MIA.
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
… or maybe he took an early run to the bar.
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
They asked how he got the Gordie Howe hat trick named after him if he only had a fight, goal and assist in one game in his career. They said nothing about a real hat trick
Need to get another one early to take some of the weight off of Huet. He has been the man this afternoon!
A tight, hard fought match thus far. I have to say, watching this years’ team compared to last is like night and day. Last season, we got outplayed nearly every game until the third, and had to rely on Huet to win games almost single-handedly. We seemed to score on almost every good chance we got. I likened it to the rope-a-dope style Ali employed, as we seemed to wait until the other team was tired before we put our best effort forth.
This season, the team is givin’ ‘er through three periods almost every game, and though our record isn’t appreciably better to this point, I’m duly impressed. Even Kovalaev is playing well defensively, and the effort is usually there through three periods as opposed to one. It’s far more fun to watch. Higgins looks wicked out there, and here we are playing this well with huge under achieving forwards Ryder and Latendresse, still getting the job done. I’m more excited about this team than I have been for a long time!
It’s a great time to be a Habs fan–but then, isn’t it always?
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
CRAZY game!!!
So glad it’s on CBC…..
some of us don’t have cable
=================
I’ve made a huge mistake…
Yep, two (hell let’s be really optimistic, THREE) goal lead at some point this period would be great. Can’t sit pretty with a one goal lead. Anything can happen right now.
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
“COME ON!”
Begin is hurt.
I say Kovy gets the next goal.
HOW DID THAT WRAP-AROUND NOT GO IN?????
I’ve made a huge mistake…
I’m with you, Whoah_Dana, these 1 goal games are huge nail-biters!
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Oops–> extra ‘H’. Sorry Woah_Dana.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
I have no nails left
I’ve made a huge mistake…
How did that not go in?!
Ahhh–so close there. Woulda been nice to get one there in that scramble.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Close… but no cigar, unfortunately.

“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
THAT WENT IN!!!!
C’MON!
I’ve made a huge mistake…
Oh man i thought that was IN. AAAAAAaahhh
Lol no worries.
Yeah, I’d love to feel more secure in this last period. The ‘wa are in for the kill now..
But that last shot was close & we got a PP so, LET’S GET’ER DONE!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Too bad that didn’t make it in right away… CBC was calling for a penalty shot, but it’ll be a power play.
Now, time to eat!
Review it…!

“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Way to go Captain K
What a pass to Koivu… big PP coming up
so close….should be a penalty shot…..
Naila, how can you eat on a time like this?!

“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Ughhhh Kovyyyyy.. ;/
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Gotta give it up for the goalies. Outstanding so far.
Yeah, both stars for today.
Geez, Gerber sure isn’t the same Gerber Baby that we played against two years ago in the Montreal/Carolina cup series..
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Higgy needs someone who can keep up with his speed – Ryder looked particularly slow on that break-out
Yeah, geez. I can’t get out of the living room to make dinner! Not yet!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Here’s hopin’ the, “ole, ole ole ole” doesn’t start. It spells doom as often as not.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
how’s that not a penalty on kovalev?? he’s being abused tonight…
When you’re right, you’re right!
PHOQUE
I’ve made a huge mistake…
i’m missing something… lats grabs and kosti are in the lineup. who’s sitting?
I think that I’ve figured this out. Can I get my karma points back now?
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
Tsk tsk… Bad Chuck. Close your italics tag next time!!!
CHUCK! You forgot to close your italics tag and now we’re all slanted! Minus karma!
Sweet… up and running!!!
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
We need a big game out of Huet this afternoon!
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
Ottawa and Montreal are going at it like it’s Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final. Preview???
Go Saku…take that little bugger out back…
Like Schubert’s bravery to jump on Komi after he fell down….Senator!!!!
–
Music is the best. FZ
Komi Komi KOMI! I love how he goes after Heatley…who cares who you are, you come in you get hit,..love it!
So, will there be more scuffles than shots this game?
Eh, at least it’s only a minor…
Hahaha, did you see Koivu at the end…thinking to himself, “Will this little pest EVER let go of me?”
It looked like Breezer wanted to step in for Saku.
Christallmighty.. see? One goal leads… no good.
*pouts*
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
SAKU DROPS THE GLOVES
OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN!
eaves just joined the few players that are in the “Saku can’t stand club”, with tucker and peca
Shoulda shut my mouth.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
Damn, seemed like a real long shift for the Koivu line
You knew that was coming! We’ve been dominated the entire third period!
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I’d like to thanks Boone for once again jinxing the shutout before the start of the 3rd period. Bad Mike…
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
i second that!
kk let’s goooooo…
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Sens are owning this period, MTL needs some sustained pressure..quick!
I actually really enjoy the serenity of the blue. Too much red can (occasionally) be overbearing, except when the Habs are sporting their home jerseys. Then, red is a good thing
I don’t really like the new blue colour…Doesn’t feel very “habs”-like
GO HABS GO!!!
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Now we are sitting back, we better start showing the early passion we had in periods 1 and 2
no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unreal
G-GGAK!!
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
dammit
Old man McAmmond with a nice move and goal by Neil?!
Damn…
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Man that’s sad. They deserved at least 1 point. Dammit. I suppose you gotta expect a team like Ottawa to be able to score 2 goals in a game.
Tabernac!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
It just kills me that it was Neil that scored. Anyone but Neil.
man i was thinking this could be a good time for Ryder to break out of that slump.
Okay, fine. Let’s take it out on Toronto on Tuesday then, deal?
*insert long draw out sigh here*
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Damn. Too bad goals, though that second one wasn’t Huet’s fault in the least… no D to cover the rebound, they all followed the player.
And the empty netter makes it seem more one-sided than it was… Habs dominated throughout the game!
I feel sick…
I’ve made a huge mistake…
It was such a great game, only if we didn’t sit on our asses in the 3rd period.
WOW, how disheartening…couldn’t seem to get the puck out of the zone in the third…….not much more I can say ….that we even lost this game…wow….
Ottawa. So hot right now.
Habs come out winners in this one no matter what….they proved to all, and most importantly to themselves, that they can indeed compete with ANY team in this league.
Great game, boys! Bring on those loafs!!!!!!
MIKE BOONE!!!
STOP saying SHUTOUT ANYTIME during the game!!!!!!!!!
I’m declaring Daniel Alfredsson the best player in the NHL at stopping teams from tying it up when the goalie is pulled. I don’t know what it is, but he always finds a way to get the puck out and get the empty netter
Awwwwwww man, but I saw that coming, Habs were getting sloppy in the last 7 minutes………what a bummer!!!
I think PJ Stock is perfect on CBC. He’s smart, he’s a former player, and is unassuming, unlike Brunet on RDS. I love his inside look, and he brings up details that most broadcasters ignore.
Great quote, also, about Alfredsson stepping up in the locker room.
I move that Boone is no longer allowed to comment on the score until the game is over!
This one’s gonna taste like crap for a while. They’ve just got to turn it into a learning experience.
That said, this group of youngsters skated with and at times outplayed the hottest team in the league for most of the game, and on the national broadcast, no less. Good on them for serving notice that they’re not going to be taken for an easy two points by anyone. I’m already looking forward to November 19th.
Now if we could only get Mike to keep his mouth shut…
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Well, it WAS an awesome game, tough loss tho, and I still have a bad taste in my mouth over this one. This could be a HUGE loss, confidence wise. Going on the road to T.O. might be just the medicine to cure this Ottawa hangover.
I was surprised to see latendresse on the first PP unit late in the second period. Just an observation….
Nice new look to the site, I’m glad no-one actually used my name, thnx all lol
Dear Carbo,
I knew Jacques Lemaire New Jersey Devil trapping hockey Circa 2000
Jacques Lemaire New Jersey Devil trapping hockey Circa 2000 was a good friend of mine
Mr. Carbonneau, YOU’RE NO Jacques Lemaire New Jersey Devil trapping hockey team Circa 2000!!!!
Anybody who didn’t see the end coming has not followed the Habs for very long…
To be fair to Ryder, there were a lot of Hab forwards who are now modeling for tomorrow morning’s milk cartons. I didn’t notice Higgins this afternoon and Kovy didn’t do all that much either. I did think that Dandy played his ass off today. It just shows you. It’s much more fun playing forward.
Off topic, but comments like these are bound to happen with the site being restructured.
I dunno where my validation email is, hopefully on the way. I’m guessing that allows for the option to use a photo/avatar for the posts?
Hey guys and gals! Welcome to the new and improved HIO, now 98% troll-free!
feel bad for huet and the boys, they played a strong game for 53 mins. Two missed assignments in our own end cost us, but at the same time its hard to win against the sens when you score one goal
Hey Boone…nice place you have here.
I liked what I saw today, assuming I went blind in the last five minutes. But, overall, it’s encouraging the boys can skate with the best team in the league. I think the Habs are one serious, gamebreaking goalscorer away from being a strong contender. That was the difference today…they have an Alfredsson and the Habs do not.
Trevor Timmins, your mission, should you choose to accept it…
alright I’m starting a trade rumor.
Ryder + Huet to the Kings for Dustin Brown + 2008 first rounder draft pick
Kings get their goalie, we get rid of Ryder, we get a power forward, Kings will suck again next year and we might have a shot at Tavares…
chances of happening?? probably zero…
It would be a nice late season move, in light of Huet’s chances of resigning will not be good, considering Price will be breathing down his neck for however long Huet stays here, and I doubt at Huet’s age and his late start to his NHL career that he’d like to sit on the bench the moment Price surpasses him. On the contrary to what happened with Souray last year, it would be nice to at least try to get something in return for Huet.
sorry i meant 2009 draft pick for tavares
I think that you’re being a little too tough on Huet for this one, Bobby. Ottawa would have had their two goals a lot earlier in the game if Huet hadn’t been on his game. After all, he even stopped a penalty shot.
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
I want Latendresse gone and Grabinski gone, bring up Lapierre. This is ridiculous.
Well, we beat Ottawa on a number retirement night last year, and we get them again for Robinson’s #19 retirement ceremony. Here’s to history repeating itself!
______________________________________________
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
J.T.,
Spot on….
I really don’t know where that gamebreaking goal scorer is going to come from. Someone on the current roster who will explode? A trade? Wait until next year and tune in later?
Habs played a smart, tough road game and really did deserve a better fate out of this one, so I totally agree with you on that front. The biggest factor right now, is what will happen tuesday night. The Habs have had a great start, but Tuesday against the hated Leafs will be a character/gut-check game. Lose confidence after this loss to the Sens, and it could be a long week. Bounce back after the loss, and the train has only derailed for short period before getting back on track.
I know that Ryder’s name has been circulating more often on this site than a Brittney Spears ‘no underware’ photo, but at this point, the critics concerns are definately gaining momentum. I hope he gets out of his funk….his streaky goal scoring would have been very welcomed in this game.
This message will self-destruct in 10…9….8…
It’s gone from Ryder being a sniper to watching him carry the puck, cough it up, and hoping for a sniper in the rafters. Seriously, Koivu and Higgins have to stop letting him headman the play, he’s brutal every game. He costs our PP momentum every game, passes when he should shoot and shoots when he should pass.
Huet was awesome until he let in alfredson’s goal, which he had no chance on. He should have stopped neil’s, IMO. At least he didn’t get the shutout and thus get the start against the leafs. Silver lining much?
Clayton;
I love that sarcasm about Huet not getting the shutout. Another shutout and he’d sit for a week. I still think Price is gonna start againt the leafs tho…….
You know, I love Huet a lot. But I always get the feeling when he’s in a game like that, that if he loses the shutout late, he loses his concentration too. It’s like he suddenly becomes human. He deserved better tonight, though.
I agree they can skate with them but what puzzles me is why they fell back into a defensive shell after full-on pressure worked for 2 periods. This is like the prevent defense in football – it doesn’t work.
I think for a young team, asking them to play in a shell only makes them more self-conscious of the fact they are ahead. Just let them go hard for 60 minutes even if we’re ahead. Yep, we’ll give odd man rushes but we might score another goal and extend our lead.
Yeah it would be better if we could just scroll down to see all the comments. Progress can be hard thing to get used to sometimes.
Let’s hope so. Time for Price to get a (jinx word) and hopefully the Habs will be pissed at the loss today.
A real heartbreaker.
Let’s hope The Habs have gained a little confidence going into the next game against Toronto.
Need to keep the peddle to the metal and not protect a 1 goal lead for 2 periods. Aside from that great game but lost pts because of coaching again. Thats at least 3 pts so far.
Better get a killer instinct soon or we will be in 13th place and Mcguire will be saying I told you so.
Love the picture ClaytonM.
Go Habs Go
Hi Keith,
You can set the number of comments displayed at a time to whatever you want.
Congrats on the new Drupal site. Excellent choice of content management system, guys!
Go, Habs, Go!
Yeah I don’t like the colour scheme. And you posted this thread twice.
GO HABS GO!
I predict a 3-2 win.
For those of you in the States, the NHL Channel, 215 on DirecTV, is showing Game 2 of the ’86 finals, Habs vs. Flames.
I am watching it myself, and recording for future watching.
thats good tv there.
I’m looking forward to the game today. I hope the Habs come out with a lot of energy. That is the only way they can beat Ottawa. They cannot trade chances with them.
Also, I just want to say that I love the new site. It’s very refreshing.
Mike – good luck with the new site. We all believe you will master the mechanics long before the centennial season.
Blog on!
Well…this looks quite different. Might take a little getting used to the new look, but I like it. The registration idea was long overdue. This should make life a little easier for the victims of the “poser-trolls”.
Sens this afternoon!….Is it just my rose-colored Habs lenses, or are there others out there who think we may be ready for a surprising upset of the division leaders today?
Long time reader, never a poster; thought I would make my debut with the new layout of the site being launched.
Just thought I’d say hello as I sit here and get ready for the Habs vs. Sens and look forward to being an active member of Habs I/O.
hey mikel
after there was a whistle, you could see huet was talking to komi, so im assuming he was informing him of that rule.
teamplayer
Yay Naila!
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Man I can’t handle all the mistakes CBS makes, better go back to RDS.
Now Kostopoulos is Kostitsyn
I don’t want to jinx the game or get excited too soon but I got a good feeling about this one
A lot of confidence on that ice today.
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
how was that plek hit from behind??? interfence maybe…
Pleks throwing his weight around! I don’t like the penalty, but it’s nice to see them playing with some attitude.
“Vote Saku for All-Star!!!”
I don’t get it, there was NOTHING wrong with that hit, he hit him shoulder to shoulder!!!
what the heck!?!?!? how was that not a penalty!!!
im talking about kovalev getting pulled down!
BULSH*T NO CALL ON KOVALEV!
Higgy should have passed to Kovy
Huet was getting bombarded there, but he got out of it okay… Nice chance by line 1… Higgins really looked like he was going to pass, but Gerber had his number
how was that not a penalty for bumbing kovy??? and why does higgins never pass to kovalev?
Nice play Grabs.
GROBOVSKI!!!
ive noticed higgins doesnt pass to ryder either…
I see Ryder is justifiably demoted again.
*$@#* ryder with the hook….
Cristo-Wall!!!
“Vote Saku for All-Star… or little Timmy gets it!!!”
Yey! It’s Dana!
I’ve gotten used to us getting silly penalties, then being taken down & nothing being called.
It’s a prerequisite to being a Habs fan, learning to take sh*t..
GO HABS!
GO MARKOV!
Man, Mike really needs to get his shit together.
After that trip on Kovalev that wasn’t called, it is hard to see that “hook” by Ryder as being a penalty.
Habs rule, Leafs drool…
nice PK so far
Is Komi allowed to pick up Huets stick???I didnt think he was
Ooooh…. Lucky lucky Huet! But then again, when you play well, the puck bounces your way!
WOW!!!!!Huet
What a WALL
amazing!
HUETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! ROBBED HIM!
Players are only allowed to have one stick in hand during the play… it doesn’t matter whose stick it is. The general rule is that a forward gives his stick to the D, the D hands his stick to the goalie… If it’s logical. Obviously, if you need your stick, as a D, to prevent a shot on the goalie… you should keep it.
PREDICTION: before this game is over, Latendresse will try to score on Gerber from behind the net, the same way he got his first goal
Hey Mike, is there any chance of getting the posts numbered again? Otherwise, how will we know if little Timmy will be in line for his medication?
