Can’t edit my last post on BB…..correction 4-0 CHI. Ooops, now 5-0. Wonder how Nuks blog is doing?? Fans jumping yet?? Playoff hockey, Baby!! Habs in 6!!

  2. EricInStL says:

I dislike chippy play. But at one point if the canucks don’t drop the gloves, then they are gutless.

    Any thoughts ?

  3. Fargo Habs Fan says:

Did we even want to win that one? Moen missed three plays with the puck at his feet, and he does nothing. 2 turn into goals (including the OT) and the 3rd was that God awful icing that he had beat out, then bam, stopped.

Playoff hockey……..Lou pulled early 2nd. CHI 4 Nuks 3. And you guys are upset we’re tied 2-2?? Get real!!

  8. dre1744 says:

I love it the nucks are gettin bitch slapped by the hawks again. I hope the hawks sweep em!!!!!

  9. habs001 says:

in the playoff you cannot make great saves but give up 2 bad goals a game…that is a recipe for failure…price was great in the first two games but lack of concentration has burned him in the last two…

    • saskhabfan says:

The lack of concentration came from the defencemen in front of him. Look at the bonehead plays by spacek and hamrlik alone. Nevermind the horrible line change that led to the 3 on 1.

Bad night for our Canadian teams

  11. WindsorHab-10 says:

Andrew Ference gives the fans the middle finger after scoring. I wonder if the league will take any action regarding this. Completely classless.

  13. shrack says:

Disappointing loss but not surprising. This team plays their best hockey with their backs to the wall. I predict they will lose the next one as well but then will regroup to take the series in 7.Here’s a quick report card:
    Cammelleri : A+
    Gionta: A+
    Gomez: B+
    Gill: B+
    Plekanec: A
    Hamrlik: B
    Kostitsyn: A+
    Subban: A-
    Price: B+
    Sopel: A
    Wiz: A-
    Desharnais: A
    Halpren: B
    White: A
    Spacek: B+
    Darche: B+
    Moen: B
    Eller: B
    Pyatt: B
    Martin: B

    • Steven says:

How can everyone have an A or B?

Some people were just brutal. Gomez has missed so many open nets it’s getting depressing, Spacek follows a great play with a torrid one, and Hamrlik’s starting to look REALLY weak on a lot of coverages.

Otherwise, I guess your ratings make sense.

    • dallyd31 says:

Although Gomez has been good, I thought he was brutal tonight. Lost a battle for the puck that resulted in a goal, missed his check several times…but luckily they missed the net, and he missed 1 or 2 certain goals in a wide open net

  14. dallyd31 says:

Many are saying the best team won tonight. Not so sure about that. The Habs were all over them for a great deal of the game. How many certain goals and open nets did they blow ? And how many big saves did Thomas make. At one point, that Habs were buzzing relentlessly for what seemed like 5 minutes and then the B’s come down, take a shot and score. They scored 3 goals on the first 14 shots.
Our D was in disarray tonight..really bad (even CBC commented on it)….but so was Boston’s. The difference was that we missed 3 sure goals and Thomas robbed them on a couple, and the B’s scored on almost all the decent chances they had. The B’s didn’t have many good quality scoring chances…not many at all…just everything was going in the net.

    • Nahlsy says:

Montreal was definitely the best team tonight, until they stopped playing and simply LET Boston come at them, opting only to ice the puck when they’d get it instead of playing the game. Their skill wasn’t the problem, their game plan of stop playing when you get the lead and a terrible line change were. Boston wasn’t all that great, Montreal just went from GREAT to no effort whatsoever (ie invisible)

  15. WindsorHab-10 says:

I said I wasn’t going to criticize JM during the playoffs, but he was definitely outcoached by Julien tonight. This sitting back on a lead is just bullcrap.

“Hate the Bruins like a sickness”

  16. Chuck says:

Interesting; CBC just showed that the 3-on-1 for the winning goal was offside.

Anyway, I wonder how many games Ferrence will get for his obscene gesture. Wiz got 2 games for his, so if the league follows it’s own precedent he’d be sitting until a possible game 7. Something tells me that they won’t do the right thing and just fine him, if anything.

    • Nahlsy says:

Doesn’t really matter, he stopped the first few chances and they got extra time to dink around with it back there because of the terrible line change and the lack of basic positioning when anyone that actually did bother to back check panicked.

Offsides or not offsides didn’t cost them the game, their taking the foot off the gas and sticking their heads up their butts after a great first period did.

    • onlychineseguy says:

Just watched the replay on NHL.com. Unf**king real.

  17. alfieturcotte says:

Time to sit Spacek for Mara. Sit Halpern or Pyatt for Weber. Gomez disappointed yet again.

As far as Carey Price is concerned, he was outplayed by Thomas and should have saved at least 2-3 of the 5 goals. Long time for him to take control of the playoff reigns and stone the Bruins. Not impressed thus far.

    • alfieturcotte says:

Say what you will of the Halak vs Price debate, but one thing is certain, Halak lead the Habs to their playoff success last year. He stole games for us. Price has yet to prove himself as a finisher in the playoffs and until he does, he will remain a contender…..

      • dre1744 says:

bottom line is halak never won us the cup!!!!!

      • Nahlsy says:

Actually the Habs were down 3 games to 1 at this point in time last year, and Halak had given up 10 goals in two periods, got yanked and had to have the other goalie take his spot already by now. By comparison Price has been the best player on the ice for them in all 4 games so far.

      • saskhabfan says:

Halak came into the playoffs with zero pressure on him. If we had lost 4 straight to the caps last year the fans still would have blamed price for having an off season which resulted to using halak and jaro would have gotten off the hook. Look what happened to halak once he was put in a starting role from day 1 in that hockey hot bed pressure cooker in st.louis,lol.

        • alfieturcotte says:

No Canadiens goalie comes into any regular season game let alone the playoffs with zero pressure. Halak was dominant while Price has not been, yet again in the playoffs. He needs to step up to the next level if he wants to be spoken of as among the best. Until he does, he remains several notches below Halak. I liked what he did during the season, but like in baseball, to be among the best, you got to produce in October, not May……

          • Man Dingga says:

So I guess what he did in games one and two means nothing now. The series is tied now. For whatever reason they can’t play a solid 60 minutes in there own barn. We took our foot off the gas tonight we had them down and out and we started collapsing back into our own zone. They left the man and went for the puck and then we had too many odd man rushes. Its seems our bread and butter the “system” has been a failure at home. To blame Price for the last two games is complete BS and I question your hockey IQ.

  18. shuttle-lemaire-lafleur says:

We know who the Bruins are…we had them and let them off the hook. Price didn’t have the greatest game but the fact is we blew the lead 3 times , no excuses, in for a rough ride now. Should be fun to watch and hopefully the lads can still pull this off…Go Habs…Saturday night, can’t wait…!!

  19. dre1744 says:

was that overtime goal offside I think so!!!!!!!!

  20. habs001 says:

peverley continues to produce vs the habs…

  21. Cable Guy says:

Habs are done, winner of game 4 will win the series. It was ours to win and we blew it. Thomas outplayed Price by a huge margin. The better team won and the better team will win the series. Period!

  22. Nahlsy says:

I do have to wonder, why was the 4th line out there to start OT? Not only did they sit back in the shell trying to defend the 1 goal lead for the entire third period, opting only to ice the puck immediately and hold on for dear life instead of actually PLAYING… then they stayed in the shell trying to play prevent to start OT as well? Martin was the cause of this one, simple stupidity and poor game plan was the difference. Defending a lead with 5 mins to go… MAYBE, with an entire period… STUPID

  23. TheMock780 says:

The Habs stopped playing that simple game they were playing in Boston and started running around at home. Cherry may not be someone that we agree with all that much but he was right when he was talking about how bad the Habs D has been the past 2 games. Guys like Spacek, Sopel, Hamrlik, and Gill have shown their age in the last 2 games. Unless Montreal goes back to that simple game they played in games 1 and 2, I have a very bad feeling that they might get run out of Boston on Saturday

    • RiverviewCanadien says:

Price lost this game, not the D. Sopel scored and saved a goal.

      What game were you watching?

NYR vs WSH was last night.

      • Nahlsy says:

Price got them to OT instead of losing by 4 or 5 in regulation when they stopped skating after the first period. What game were you watching???

      • TheMock780 says:

Yes he did, but he and Spacek were brutal on zone clearances for long stretches of the game. Price didn’t have his best game we can all agree, but he was left high and dry on the last two goals

        • RiverviewCanadien says:

so blame great D for a mistake (which every player made tonight, name one who did not). Price let in 2-3 goals, he CAN stop. I am not questioning his skill, which he has plenty of. He did not play great tonight and lost it.

Not his best game. But the “team” played BRILLIANT hockey, no question.

          GO HABS GO!

          • Man Dingga says:

Are you kidding me, the D has been terrible. All they do is collapse in front of the net. The reason Kelly scores is because Sopel is stand right in front of Price trying to stop the puck, clearly leaving the man in front. The first goal was a one on none. Its always odd man rushes or guys diving in front of Price so he loses track of the puck. You Price bashers are hilarious. Learn to play a little hockey before you comment on the game. Brutal!

  24. habs001 says:

darche, white, moen, pyatt,dd,eller….now these forwards play well and give full effort but this act wears thin if you cannot score…add in gomez and you have 7 forwards who produced single digit goal totals this year…in the future couple of these forwards will get better but not right now…. it is very difficult to play anything more than around 500 in the playoffs with this line up…so we should be okay at 2-2 because we are really a 500 playoff team that has to win a series in 7 games usually

    • harrow15 says:

You cant expect all players from all 4 forward lines to score. Gomez yes, but at least Pleks, Cammi, AK46 and Gionta are finding the net, more so than Lucic-Krejci-Horton who underperforming in comparison.

-Anderson Silva vs Georges St Pierre in 2011

      • habs001 says:

true , but imagine of our top forwards were not scoring like bostons…the bruins have 12 forwards on the roster with 10 or more goals….their other forwards will get more key goals at key times than our bottom six…

  25. BKAK72 says:

Regardless of this series outcome my hope (prayer?) remains for next year a brand new #1/#2 line.

  26. HNS says:

This team has always lived and died by goaltending. I’m not about to rip Price cause we would not be here without him, but I’m not sure who that was in net tonite.

    • NoTinFoilCups says:

I don’t think we can blame Price for this loss. He was hung out to dry. We have to get back to the “system” if we are going to win this series. That includes PK playing like he did the first two games not like he did during the regular season.

  27. RiverviewCanadien says:

    Michael F. Ryder?

    How about Carey F. Price…

    • Nahlsy says:

Ya, without him, they’d be golfing. Thankfully he’s on the Habs’ side so they’re still in this even with the “efforts” given over the last two games. Now hopefully they can give him a little help over the next three after all the rest they’ve had in the last two.

    • saskhabfan says:

Without Price we are not even in the playoffs. 3 on 1 in OT,2 bruins players left alone in front of the net, endless giveaways and soft coverage in front of our own net. Yes,blame the goalie.

  28. Captain aHab says:

Habs have no chance….blah, blah, blah…..face it: this team doesn’t play well without adversity and now they have it in droves. Has there ever been a series go to 7 games with all wins on the road? I could see it happening here.

Anyways, chill boys and girls. First goal will be paramount in Bawston. Pressure is 100% back on Boston now. Habs have to avoid the 2-goal lead….simple as that. Just about every time they get one, they take the foot off of the gas and pay for it.

Talk about unsportsmanlike conduct! I’d be embarrassed if PK gave the fans in Boston the finger or any other obscene gesture. These guys are supposed to professionals who can at least pretend to be more mature than their fanbase.

  31. phillyhab says:

Bad D coverage & laxidasical back-checking cost us the game. That’s it.

  32. Jammin says:

it was an entertaining game. The Habs played their hearts out. They had a 1 goal lead.then a two goal lead, then a one goalĀ lead.Blew them all. then lose in overtime. What do the Boston players feel now? That despite a Habs lead they can come back? As for thge Habs how damaging was this loss to their confidence?

  33. elduquay says:

4EverHabsFan…I think you need to step back and get some perspective. The Habs are overachieving in this series. You have 2 options:
Enjoy the ride, or develop an ulcer.

    Good luck with that.

  34. habs365 says:

Goals–late in the 2nd and 3rd periods were the killer goals and a quick overtime–it’s Boston’s series to win now–they have two home games out of three–and don’t refer to the first two–the Bruins will not let that happen again….Habs will have to win one in Boston or get the golf clubs out…..
And I must mention–Boston has proven tonight–they don’t have to play dirty to win.

  35. Rainrocket16 says:

Whoever is blaming Price right now can go join the Bruins fan club! Where the hell was his help? No one gonna stay by the net and help with rebounds and now we are 2-2. All 4 of the 5 were all due to Defensive errors. Price did not fail us, yet again our D is worthless! Sopel is brutal, Spacek needs to go sommewhere else this summer and I am sorry but was it just me or was Cammy not going into corners when he should have!? Lots of standing around! We are better off playing in Boston, we did much better there.

    • observer says:

spacek is the ONLY veteran d-man signed foor next year and was overpaid by the dumbo gainey. as was hamrlick even more so but he is a free agent and i dont want him back for amny money but $500,000 tops. gainey and gauthier must be fired . 8 years one single series won after round one in 8 years. FIRE THE BUNCH!

Bring in someone who knows how to win something!

    • nova scotia vees says:

I hate to show my age, but I have been a DEVOTED, FANATICAL Habs fan since 1957 (mere child). I used to cry when they lost and be miserable for days….NO MORE. I know in my heart that this team isn’t going far. I just had my hopes up that they could beat the Bruins whom I DETEST. As a Habs fan I hoped that Price would prove me wrong and be great. But my eyes do not deceive me.
Back to tonight…Watch the game again and tell me why we kept giving Boston so much open ice while we were busy running to the bench. Time and again I couldn’t even find a red jersey at centre ice while the Bruins broke out…and I have a 55 inch screen!
J.M. and Gauthier must go. We keep giving away players and getting nothing in return…and the coaching drives me crazy.

  36. RetroMikey says:

Series is over, Boston will take the series, momentum shifts to the Bruins, we blew it, plain and simple.
Don;t know where our team is heading next year but I don;t see much of an improvement.

  38. nova scotia vees says:

Well…how anyone can defend Price is beyond me. So many things to gripeabout..but STOP blaming P.K…Replay the play…The blame goes to Meon who OVERSKATED the puck on the half-board INSIDE the Bruin zone. Then take a look at what happened on the other end. Bruins mess up the 3 on 1, but Spacek slides behind the net and then STAYS BEHIND THE NET instead of coming back out to check Ryder. We actually had 4 players to their 3 when the goal was scored…Sopel, Spacek, Gomez and Moen. P.K. changed because we had control of the puck half-way inside their blueline. As for Price…disastrous. No clutch..Halak only made 55 saves a game for us last year. And I tape the games so i can do replays…try it sometime and watch your darling Price. Back to the old Price..on his knees..can’t find the freakin puck..choker. And J.M. should be horse-whipped for dressing Spacek and not Mara.. Time to blow it up and star again.

  40. elduquay says:

Well said PrimeTime: echoes of my sentiments exactly!

  41. habs001 says:

i think we will have to score 5 or more goals sat to win…the bruins now have that mojo that the flyers had a couple of years ago that they know they will score goals no matter what the play is like…they will get flukey goals ,bad goaltending goals and great goals but they will score…the only person who can turn this around is price…price has to show that he can perform in pressure games by keep making big saves which he has but he cannot give up 2 bad goals a game

  42. Keith says:

George Gillette on CJAD. Still loves the Habs!

  43. jimmy shaker says:

And ryan white/lars eller never played really in the 3rd period because why?

And JM took darche off of gomer and gio’s line, because why?

And last but not least, our fearless leader who is so quick to bench the young guys, but time after time throws gomez out there who is absolutely the worst defensive forward i have ever seen, who defends nothing but air sucks harder and harder everytime he’s in our zone! Grow some balls JM and give Eller the shot he deserves and gomer the 4th line that he deserves. What a joke JM and gomer are, just pathetic pukes! Looks like Price will need to pitch another doughnut in beantown if we want any chance to advance!

  48. Chuck says:

Pressure’s now all on Boston. Habs have proven that they can win in Boston, and the B’s won’t want to fall behind 3-2 with their backs against the wall on the road.

    • Led says:

I agree. Up 2-0 the pressure was on us. We blew that advantage but the pressure switches back to Boston. They are the faves and will be expected to win the series now. We can resume the underdog status we seem to like so much. It sure would’ve been nice to be up 3-1 though.

  50. saskhabfan says:

Had seats directly behind the net where the habs shot twice in regulation. You have no idea how bad spacek and hamrlik look till you see them close up. Spacek caught 30 feet out of position on their first goal, hamrlik screens carey on the second one (from my seats all i saw was exactly what carey saw, nothing but a #44),hamrlik gives away the puck which turns into chaos in their end then gets caught out of position. Though we sucked in the first half in game #3,we played well enough to win this series in 4 straight. Hamrlik and spacek were good in last years playoffs, they both have been brutal this year and in IMO are the reason we are not already resting up for round #2.

    • observer says:

ive been saying it all year – those 2 only play to protect themselves from injury. hamrlick is a joke and these fool sportswriters give him some award as if they are blind.

  51. Bob Barker says:

Terrible defense tonight. Nobody was covering anyone in front of the net all night.

Stop blaming the goalie every time the Habs lose a game.

Series was tied after 4 last year also.

    Halak after 4 games last year: 0.957, 0.838, 0.769, 0.974

    Price after 4 games: 1.000, 0.971, 0.875, 0.857

Habs have shown they’re more than capable of beating the Bruins but they need to play smart defense. Way too many mistakes tonight to win a hockey game.

    Hey Montreal,

Who said its 2-2, but it should be 4-0. Well said loser. Woulda, coulda, shoulda doesn’t really mean much. Its tied! The B’s played like shit and they still won. What do you think the Canadiens need to do to win, skate faster? How about getting some tough D in there like suiting up Paul Mara. Now that’s the ticket…

    • harrow15 says:

Mara in, Spatcho out. Im cool with that.

You see, when you call me a loser(Yes, I’m the one that said it) it makes me think you’re a troll. But when you say to put Mara in as a suggestion, it might mean you’re not.

Regardless, that’s not what they need. The bottom line is they have to play 60 minutes, not 10, not 20, not 30. They also have to stop being so damn complacent. If they hadn’t decided to sit on the 3-1 lead and pushed for more, the game could’ve easily been 4-2, but they didn’t. It happens, but yeah.

I still gotta give the B’s their props for capitalizing on our complacency, but I won’t concede that they should be where they are.

  55. gumper says:

Here’s the thing. This was the best game of the series in terms of both teams deciding to just play hockey and let the skill of the two teams decide the outcome. Three penalties in the game. A clean hard-played game. The kind of game Habs fans would hope for…and we lost. Bitter pill to swallow, but when you ask yourself if there are better teams out there than the Bruins, it gives you a gauge to measure where this team is at. When it comes down to it, that’s why we’re all bummed here tonight.

    • Ian Cobb says:

Gumper. good post, we are even! And this was a fun game for us.!!

      • 4EverHabsFan says:

Fun game? WTF were you watching? Fun for 28 minutes- maybe? We all need to just realize, Game #1 & #2 we played Habs hockey, and won. Games in Montreal, we let JM control the matchups, which led to us losing almost every faceoff, fall behind in one game 2-0 before actually waking up, then tonight showing everyone how to blow 3 leads in 30 minutes. This team is not going to win the Cup. Let’s get realistic. Reality is that this team will probably not win another game in this series. This team squeaked into the playoffs. We aren’t a good team on paper. And we are even worse at time on the ice. We play a “System” which has allowed us to blow more leads in this one season than I can remember in the last 2 coaches eras put together. JM has NO history of being a winner, he has no Championships, so why is he coaching our historiclu great franchise who has not won SHIT since 1993. WE HAVE NOT BEEN TO THE FINALS SINCE 1993!! Anyone else bothered by that? The Devils have been there more and have won! The Ducks, Hurricanes and Lightning have won a F’n CUP… Mediocre is not acceptable! We are not in Toronto! To see Beliveau and the Pocket Rocket on the ice before the games almost makes me cry- Why? Because those guys are winners who LOVE this franchise and they are gonna leave this world sometime and will have had to sit and watch this franchise struggle and be happy with just “making the playoffs”. That sounds like Brian Burke and Ron Wilson- “Happy making the playoffs” F*CK that! Sorry for venting- I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SH*T!!!

It has been a great year that is not yet over, We have put our best 4 players in the hospital, 3 of them for the year. And still we hang in there. What a learning curve for all the Hamilton kids on the team .

          • 4EverHabsFan says:

Yes Ian, great experience for the Dogs, but this has not been a great season. Not yet anyways. Great seasons end with parades and a trophy. Isn’t 2nd place the first loser?

To call this team great is disrespecting the 24 that had parades. Those were great teams. This team had a good season- yes. They have 4 of their best on paper players spend a ton of the season injured, they showed character and the young guys played more than they should have. I am just tired of seasons ending and having to talk about “next year”. Like I said, that is how Toronto is, not how Montreal is supposed to be.

I don’t expect a Cup every year, but I do expect a good product night in and night out. That doesn’t mean 82-0, That means playing 60 Minutes every single night. If this years team played 60 minutes every game this year, they would have won at least 10 more games!

I appreciate your calmness and positivity at this deprssing moment :)

    • If you look at the penalty boxscore you see a clean game, if you watched the game you saw Boston get away with interference and tripping about 15 times in the first 30 minutes when Montreal owned the everloving crap out of them. This game should have been a blowout but the refs instead felt it was better to keep Boston in it.

gomez and gion both minus 3….we sure could have used an experienced forward pick up at the trade deadline like a kelly or peveley who have some goal scoring talent…bottom line is we have too many forwards that just cannot score….

    • Chuck says:

Bottom line is that we had to use all of our assets just to patch together enough bodies to play defense.

      • 4EverHabsFan says:

bottom line is the Booins have a better team up front than our patch together defense who when healthy still dresses some dead weight… And as said we should have added some form of scoring… MOEN, DARCHE, GOMEZ, HALPERN, WHITE have NO Business being anywhere near a top line! Loved watching WHite a few games ago, but what has happened to him? Since F.JM told him to take it easy in Game #3 when the Booins were starting to get dirtyier than normal, White has become the old White who couldn’t make this team… SPACEK + SOPEL = Painful!!!!

Habs get caught on a 3 on 1 in overtime??Coaching. Habs laughing it up prior to Game 3 and start Game 3 flat? Coaching.

Win the next game. that has to be the mindset.

  59. eric says:

Cary had a great season but ask Wash and Pitt last year what a great season means. Squat. It’s what you do in the playoff that count. He’s got to be better these last three games

Hey beantown I live in Florida so no I wouldn’t even consider going back to Boston if just to smack your useless head off your shoulders. My fighting days are behind me especially for retarded reasons like a post in a teams site. The reason I know your kind to be exactly the opposite of what you are saying to be “a tough guy” is because you threaten without real cause… Are you gonna bark all day little doggy? Or you gonna bite. Your team won. Series on. But bruins will never catch up to the Habs success in a 100 years.

  61. BeanTown says:

    See you Saturday!!!

  62. observer says:

Wasn’t Ryder the one Gainey healthy scratched for the entire Flyers series despite the free agent to be that Gainey would not trade at the deadline, Ryder being the Habs leading scorer that season vs. Philly?

  63. 21BIGGionta says:

All those who are bad-mouthing the whole team. Giving up on them etc…Have you not learned from last year? All i have to say is don’t come back when the habs win on saturday

    Im out

    GO HABS GO

Another entertaining and thrilling game with a little bit of everything. Loved watching it — except for the ending of course. Here’s the thing that worries me. Since 1996, and I believe I have this right, the Habs are 0-10 when taking the first two games of a series on the road. a) 1996: Took the first two against the Rangers, lost the next four b) 2006: Took the first two against Martin Gerber and the Hurricanes, lost the next four to Cam Ward. c) 2011: Took the first two in Boston, lost the next two in Montreal. Here’s hoping this year’s Habs find a way to reverse that trend.
The team’s been on the other side, BTW, as well. I remember they lost the first two home games against the Nords in 1987 and proceeded to win the series in seven hard-fought games.
LOVE this site, BTW. Take care everyone.

Best two out of three now.!

    Love this team….

    Love this series…

    It’s 2-2 when it should be 4-0 but…

I’ll tell ya one thing, Jacques Martin is a very good coach and most likely the reason why the Habs are this far but THIS is his last season.

There’s no way these guys play for him next year, the sand have run out of the hourglass, it’s Muller time.

When your team has a 3-1 lead at home in Game 4 with a 2-1 series lead and you’re outshooting your opponent 29-10 at the half way mark of the game and YOU GO INTO PREVENT FU*CKING DEFENSE, you are an IDIOT!!!

The Habs may go on to win this cuz Boston’s playing like crap but unless you put your foot on their throat when the opportunity is there and you fail, you don’t deserve crap.

    Just sayin’ is all…

Screw this then. Looks like a road win series. Habs in7……….unless these hot house flowers can fu*&in win one at home.

  68. terrier92 says:

Can’t wait for Saturday night. Montreal Boston doesn’t get any better than this. Two out of three . NIce. Let the boys play and see what happens. After tonight the hockey Gods are with the B’s.
Now you know what we in Boston felt like walkin out after two straight home losses. My bet is is goes 7 and its anyones series. Ill be there.

    Go Bruins

  69. Ian Cobb says:

Not a problem, not a problem. I am just so thankful that 4 games are in Boston and 3 in Montreal. They can only win here and we can win there, no pressure, we will be in the next round .

Can you imagine having Gorges, Markov, and Max Pac. it would be over by now. Instead we get to watch a couple more games.

Tomorrow night right!! and then back at the Bell.

    • Chuck says:

I agree with Ian. Our patchwork defense deserves a lot of credit for the success that they’ve had this year. While teams like Boston were able to go out and load up at the deadline, we had to spend our cap space on simply being able to ice a full compliment of bodies.

The series may be tied 2-2, but I’m sure that after the B’s reflect on the fight that they’ve been in this series they may not relish that it’s come down to a best 2-out-of-3 against a team that everyone has told them was their inferior.

    • Steven says:

You’re the model of optimism, my friend.

You think of it as 3 more games to watch, I think of it as a total collapse by our boys.

      …But I digress. I hope you’re right.

  70. EricInStL says:

    Luongoooooooooalllllllll

  71. Antho says:

If you out shoot the other team 29-10 in the first half of the game, why do you stop playing the way your playing?
JM you do not have a defense to play like the New Jersey Devils cup winning team, standing in your own zone and waiting for the big nosed bruins to score a shitty goal does not win the series.
Hamrlik has been one of the worst dmen all season and throughout this series
I feel sorry for all of you who actually thought for one second we were going to stand a chance, this is not a cup winning playoff coach and once again if Carey doesn’t get a shutout or let in only one goal they can’t win.

  72. rogieshan says:

Perry Pearn needs to take better notes. Spacek+Sopel = minus 3.

  73. It’s game 1 Saturday night and it’s gonna play out how it should of Boston playing at home with more momentum.
Game 1 best of 3 series all you need is two wins. This is much more simple then getting 4 wins….

    Habsnation is still standing.

  74. habsfan1960 says:

Chill all if any is to blame it should be directed to the coaching staff as they were the ones who made them stop skating and play defensivve hockey when there was 3o minutes still to play.
