The JM prevent defence works again! The defence that prevents you from winning worked to perfection again tonight. Gotta love that we keep doing the same thing and getting the same result. At least we’re committed.
The Swiss dmen were exposed again tonight. Their play is getting worse as the season progresses. Weber, in particular, was sad tonight. Dias wasn’t far behind (and I really liked both these guys going into the season). Both now have to be way behind Emelin on the depth chart.
I ask again, why is Darche on this team? What does he do?
If you’re the opposing coach in a shootout you tell your guys, “stick side low, stick side low, anywhere you want because he isn’t stopping anything ever again”. Word to Carey’s coach, you need to work on shoot-outs. Other than that, he was brilliant, as he usually is.
So, the death watch watch is on. How long until they can JM. It can’t be long now. This team is shyte. JM’s fault ou non, someone has to pay and it’s JM’s job to be the fall guy.

Someone on an earlier thread said that halak was the king of rebounds……well that tying goal was pretty greasy by price. Why didn’t JM pull price in favour of Gill or Budaj? Price is clearly lost when it comes down to the one on one confrontations. How do you say a dear in headlights? Just like that, right? Too bad, he and the team played a pretty decent game before the clowe game tying goal!

Habs need to review some tape to figure out that your best chance of scoring in the shootout is with a shot. Get within 10-12 feet, hit your spot with an accurate wrister, and the goalie simply doesn’t have time to react.
On the bright side, the fewer point we get in December the less likely JM is around in January.

LA should be the last stop for JM. SJ was the better team all night but we should have stole one with our goaltending. At least we got a point… It could have easily been 6-2 SJ.

It’s kind of amazing to see anyone calling for Martin’s job after tonight. In Anaheim, it looked like the team was starting to quit on him but tonight they played their hearts out. Yeah yeah, using Moen was stupid, but come on! Jacques did a great job tonight.

Price is a great goalie and SJ has some great shooters, if we had some better luck Cammy would have put it in and that’s it. However, JM sending Moen out…. that makes no sense, and I’m sure Moen was confused too, unless we had some wonder move he was practicing in practice. Either way…. AK would have given us a better chance at tying it up, tabar…..

No offense to Moen whatsoever because he’s an effective player and he’s having a great season to boot, but why would you use him in the shootout when you have AK46 at your disposal? Other players I would’ve put well ahead of him are Pleks and Lars, and maybe even LL and Paloosh.

Not a big fan of Moen, even if he has the “hot” hand, but let’s stop acting like JM lost the game because Pleks and AK aren’t used. AK is a career 25% shooter and Pleks is a horrid 15%. Both are hardly sure things in a shootout.
That’s true Mark, and it’s not to hang the loss entirely on JM’s head, but there’s no denying the Pleks and AK46 are better options in the shootout than Moen.

JM played a hunch/hot hand over two bad shootout shooters and lost. But are people really going to be upset about a player whose 3 for 20 didn’t get to shoot?
We are in no position to do anything “on a hunch”…If his coaching style relies on a “hunch” than what does that say for his ability to lead this team out of the dark path they are falling into?
