it’s ok, if we had scored there SJ would have just tied it up right away. :)

    Are you tired?
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired.

Man, it’s only 10:15 in Calgary and I am way too sleepy. I don’t know how you folks out east handle this. You must have kids that sleep at night.

take your drink to the end of the bar buddy…come on now, don’t be a fool…

    • Rightwing says:

So, what, Ron Fournier is on salary, I imagine. I hear Cogeco gets a great discount on satellite time after midnight. Also, that brings them under the expenditure cap for another great CRTC welfare check.

Way to go, CHMP and all involved!

  5. roady says:

this is going take a tremendous effort………..on my part to stay awake for the third. Make it worth my while please…hey JM easy on the Darche svp…

  6. RS says:

I hate to say it, but it’s all down hill from here in the turd period for the Habs.

I’m not sure I want to watch it. If I quit now, I can at least feel okay (i.e. deluded) about 2 decent periods, rather than feel deflated (i.e. realistic) after the inevitable third period breakdown.

  7. Cammalleri’s blocked shot on Brent Burns was his fourth of the season.

Has anybody noticed that everytime Weber or Diaz is on the ice the team seems to be always trapped in their own zone. For some reason the puck keeps coming to those two who continually give it away, lose it or make a brutal pass.

Whenever Markov, Campoli and Spacek comes back. Diaz and Weber has to sit. They are just brutal and they add nothing to the team right nhow only providing a body.

To you from failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high.

  10. SKHab says:

Watched a replay of Emelin hit on I don’t know which Shark at the blue line. Very nice. I don’t think that is a suspension.

  18. Mattyleg says:

Like the way we’re playing tonight, peeps.
Keep it up, and I might watch to the end!

  19. Rad says:

Desharnais’ low center of gravity helps him out against taller opponents.

  20. JIMVINNY says:

Cammy with a blocked shot. I’m liking the effort from these guys tonight.

  21. Sotxhabsfan says:

    Cammy with the block! What?

  22. durocher says:

Eller has some shake and bake

  23. Mavid says:

Chara is a dirty so and so…who cares how Gill stacks up against him..or any player for that matter…

second place is just the first loser

  24. JIMVINNY says:

Eller had the puck on a rope there.

  25. sampson12 says:

Eller and Leblanc are two players who know how to cycle along the boards. Really evident for a moment there.

  26. Rad says:

    Eller owning the puck!

  27. Mavid says:

Havlat got suspended not once but twice for kicking another player in the package…piece of poop if you ask me…

second place is just the first loser

  28. habstrinifan says:

Just wondering.. where’s Gomez? Is he with team. And anyone thinks there is any truth to RDS remark, last game Gomez played, that Gomez wasnt really injured… just benched?

  29. Gill? All his does is block shots with his size. He can’t move the puck, doesn’t protect the goaltender, can’t score, assist, out with Weber, Gill and bring in some 2 way D’s. Don’t get why anyone likes GIll. Compared to Chara, he is bush league.

Promote the Youth, Support From The Veterans and Remember the Heritage!

    • Habsolutely says:

Gill has more class in the tip of his pinky than Chara has in his whole body.

    • Malreg says:

So you’re comparing a 5/6 defensive D-man who kills penalties and makes $2.5 million a year to one of the best defenseman in the league?

    • Bill says:

Yeah, he’s not good compared to the best defenceman of this era. Good comparison. You forgot to mention that Gill is crap next to Larry Robinson too.

      • habstrinifan says:

No more Gill rferences… I am trying to get the image of him on all fours (deliberately and for extended period) last night. I have watched hockey since 1970 and dont think I have ever seen anything like it.

Nice guy Gill, but that was too weird.

    • kakey says:

Ron Fournier once said this about Gill: il est doux doux doux comme votre tante, il tricote, il plante des fleurs…

(he’s gentle gentle gentle like your aunt, he knits, he plants some flowers…)

  30. RS says:

“Marleau managed to pull away from Gill” LOL

I had to see it to believe it! Amazing.

  31. Mavid says:

Cole…is sooo good..love to watch him

second place is just the first loser

  32. Flobomb12 says:

Anyone who says DD is slow is lost. He can fly when he wants. And he has been working hard on his skating each year. DD ppg game average since breaking in with the Habs last year 0.54. More then half those games were not with top 6 minutes. Gionta ppg average during the same period.. about exactly the same! and all while playing top 6 minutes.. food for thought before everyone calls for DD’s head and he is traded to Dallas putting up 70 points a year

  33. Captain aHab says:

Oh oh Weber on the ice….

  34. Mr.Hazard says:

PK never shoots less than 30 feet away from the net.

  35. durocher says:

The pressure and icing all originated from a Diaz giveaway. I don’t know why some people are so high on him.

  36. morivera says:

RDS french feeds made more sense to Shark announcers than Martin’s system to his own players.

  37. RS says:

Didn’t Diaz use to be Boone’s man? Now Emelin has caught Boone’s fancy. Interesting.

  38. TOP DAWG says:

    Next lead sticks

  39. Rad says:

    I said a Louie Louia
    Oh, Oh, Oh, No

  40. Mr.Hazard says:

The Sharks feed picked up the RDS commentators for more than a minute lol. It was more like 6 minutes.

  41. morivera says:

RDS feed lasting longer than the Habs leads tonight.

  42. Mavid says:

would love to see Leblanc get a goal…

second place is just the first loser

  43. Chrisadiens says:

Awesome, Sharks feed switched to RDS announcers. Im happy.

    Leblanc better check his underwear.
    He looked like he panicked

  48. riddler says:

Think Leblanc is gonna b ok.

  49. showey47 says:

So,if markov was being paired with emelin, was emelin being played on the right side?

  50. Mavid says:

7th hole hahahahahaha priceless…they gotta have at least a tad of entertainment value..I am listening to RDS not sure exactly what they are saying…this could be a good thing..

second place is just the first loser

  51. Habbu says:

Can you imagine where this team would be in the standings if Price was playing at the same level as the rest of the team?

  52. Bill says:

Really great save on Thornton. What flexibility.

  53. Feraco says:

Did you see the way this guy slid over??? He still managed to use his blocker to stop it.

    Amazing

  54. JIMVINNY says:

That was a pretty good save.

  55. onlychineseguy says:

Man, we need someone back from the injured list to get Weber off the ice, he is useless!!

  56. thirdstone says:

Seems like Weber screened the most important piece of visual information for the goalie: the shooters blade and then puck coming off it. If he stands up and allows the shot to be made through his legs Price makes the easy save.

  57. Feraco says:

    St Denis out Paluj in

  58. Feraco says:

    Price is sooooo good!!!!

Cammy, basic hockey is to forecheck, I’m thinking he is hurt, until this year the guy has bee $$money

  59. thorandresson says:

Weber -2 on the night, should be a scratch next game

  60. Rad says:

Those big Shark forwards will wear down the puny Habs by the 3rd Period. Especially considering this is the 2nd game in 2 nights.

  61. ooder says:

if palushaj is playing tonight, who is out that was playing yesterday?

  62. PureGuava says:

We’re sure not allowed to enjoy a lead for very long….

  63. morivera says:

SJ isn’t killing the Habs, so I guess the SJ coach’s job is safe for now.

  64. JIMVINNY says:

Sharks had too many men, good thing the refs decided not to call it.

  65. Barts says:

    Another great job by Weber.

  66. Bill says:

No lead = no lead for JM to protect = they might score again!

  67. riddler says:

Weber. Not ready for prime time.

  68. t1tan5 says:

Weber has got to either block that shot or get the hell out of the way. He did neither on the scoring play.

  69. slychard says:

I see, so that’s how it’s gonna go.

If there’s one thing that Weber does well, it’s set up a good screen.

    Bye weber, I’ve seen enough.
