To add on to our discussion, Bobrovsky and Enroth are the same age, basically the same career #’s 2.70 gaa .910 sv%, but Enroth is 5′ 10, while Bobrovsky 6’2. Bobrovsky also has playoff experience. I still take Bobrovsky over Enroth and I’d take Miller over either, for sure.

Good pick by the Capitals. Got to see a fair bit of Wilson against the Guelph Storm. Wilson is just mean on the ice. He can be dirty, but he’s got decent speed for a big guy and they are not at all exaggerating his hitting…he hits like a truck.
He does all those things. But you can find other players who do the same in the third round or lower, IMO.
He can’t score.

He was awfully threatening against the Storm. One of the best players on the ice.
Depends if he’s there to open up the ice or grab garbage goals. You don’t want him to skate around the other team. It’s not his game.
I don’t think he has the hands to bury the garbage ala a Holmstrom.
I think he projects like Travis Moen… a 10-15 goal guy at best. Just bigger.
If i wanted a tough forward, I would have gone Samuelsson, Sissons, or Matteau.

I secretly want Montreal to pick Samuelsson
The Capitals don’t really need goal-scorers. They already have Backstrom, Ovechkin and Johansson (who is looking like a great player). Mathieu Perreault also looks like he’s got some good hands, and now they’ve added Forsberg who reputedly has one of the best shots in the draft.
With Carlson and Green, they’ve got some good shooters from the backend. They have a good goalie in Holtby. Alzner and Schultz give them good stay-at-home defenders.
They got what they wanted. By adding Wilson, they get another big body who can go to the front of the net and screen and cause some havoc. The other guys might be good picks too, but I think Wilson could be a nice addition.
So when I am like 60… 7 ft players will be a norm.

The Enroth kid is the real deal. If Buf is rebuilding, they could do a lot worse than to get full value from Miller.
It might just be the kind of gamble you’d pull off – especially considering what’s in the pipeline for next year’s draft.
I’m not sold on Enroth being “the real deal”, especially if that means trading Miller. People have short term memories, but Miller was just up for the vezina last year. This year he took that BS hit from Lucic that knocked his and Buffalo’s year off track. Late in the year Buffalo started playing alot better when Miller was back and healthy.

Brobovsky is a stop-gap measure. I can’t imagine Columbus rating him anymore than the rest of us. They still need a goalie.

I just don’t rate Brobovsky. Columbus needs a warm body in net and I guess he fits the part… but he won’t be the solution in goal.
