I had a bad feeling about tonight’s game. I mean every team that is on a L streak ALWAYS ends up beating the Habs. The Habs meanwhile never can build on a previous W more than twice and how many times have they failed to do that this season! Too many! A long break always means the Habs play badly and get out shot and D makes too many mistakes. Did they L the game? One thing is for sure Price can stand on his head but he can not score goals and he can not steal games. I can’t wait for this season to END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He carries the puck out of his own zone all the time. Its often dangerous.
Tonight, he gained the red line and had two options every time: dump it in or carry it all the way. All too often he waited till he got to the blue line – and his linemates were totally stopped – to dump it in. Worst play he could Make in those situations.
He has got so much to learn. Not even close to being ready to be a #1 guy.
No 1 guy? that is alittle much at this stage to ask but he played a great game…he did have two turnovers at the other blueline but he repeatedly had no option and carried the puck out of the zone…that is an asset not a liability though so I am not sure what you are talking about. Not many guys have the speed and poise to make those plays….after Desharnais right now….he is the best guy we have at making space. If the guys are going to fly the zone early then what is he supposed to do? You can blame him for those turnovers at the far blueline but hat is about it tonight…I think he was one of the few bright spots.
He and Andrei were dangerous…unfortunately they had blunden with them…
Disagree krob. Sure he can carry it, and this is an asset. He does it far too often. Ask his coach – “the only time you should try to beat a guy 1-on-1 is for a scoring chance.”. Eller tries it every 4th shift in his own zone. His decision-making has a long way to go. He also caused the gorges penalty by turning it over for a break back the other way.
I like the kid too but – as some looters suggest – he’s not close to a #1 and gas a ton to learn. Very raw.
He is very raw….he didn;t evenplay junior over here but I like that he actually has poise in our end….he will learn that those plays are musts….and I think he is doing that….the turnovers at the other blueline are what bothers me….they were stating to disappear and become very infrequent but tonight there were a couple glaring ones. I am more frustrated with the lack of a real identity….Kaberle ws a magician for a few minutes in the middle of the third…he made about 5 great plays in a 3 or 4 minute span…the abs of any other year would have scored 2 or 3 times….this bucnh is confused….too many mix and matches right now…Kaberle would be incredible in Detroit…and would have been here two years ago or more…..the team is changing to a dump/chase and cycle team and it is making Kaberle, Pleks, Subban..to some extent DD and Eller and AK less effective than I believe they could be. There is a clear identity change happening and I have been afraid to say it before but I think they just may consider moving Pleks of this is the direction they are headed….very confused watching a line of PLeks, Gomez and Bourque…..
Going to tell the truth right now. If the Montreal Canadiens players are not willing and if management is not willing to take the needle or the HGH pills they will never win. This league is dirty, the Sabres were dirty tonite and so are the Pens. Washington is sucking because they know they can take it for ever. Just like the Chinese swim team. One week they’re fishing the swimers out from drowning. Six month later they are the best swim team in the world. Buffalo certainly looked like the best swim team in world, really really fast.
