Liveblog: Three in a row

Losses, that is.
Playing without Milan Lucic, Boston beat the Canadiens 3-2.
Now it’s on to Chicago.
So Jacques Martin was the problem, right?

  1. topher5468 says:

Screw that Boone no buts , they lost again. It damn awful.

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  2. Ghosts of the Forum says:

Les boys played well tonight. Tough loss, but a good game.

  3. PureGuava says:

Does Moen speak French?….Let’s get em!

  4. HardHabits says:

This loss felt better than a lot of wins this season. But for different reasons than people would suspect.

  5. badbalance says:

a loss is a loss but we still suck and it’s 3 in a row….

  6. kholdstare says:

Sad really. At least JM had them playing .500 with the heavily criticized “Le System”. I know, I know give him a chance.

  7. ffenliv says:

I have reached the point now where I’d rather they just fell for a pick than made the playoffs. I know picks are very, very hit and miss but I don’t see where this team could possibly be going in terms of the playoffs this year. It’s either a decent pick, or a 4-game sweep.

  8. durocher says:

No Cammy at the end. That’s the right decision.

Put Emelin back in for the next game.

  9. Bozo McBozo says:

WTF? No loser point? That sucks!

  10. novahab says:

GD have control of the puck and panic with it COME ON MAN!.

  11. HabsFanMTL says:

    Moen cost us the game

  12. Danno says:

    Too little too late

Looks like the Cunneymoon is over

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  13. JasonM says:

What were those Oleg Petrov shots from Campoli?

  14. t1tan5 says:

    What a tease.

  15. The Dude says:

    DD ‘S our Mighty Mouse…………

  16. durocher says:

Chara has been on for both of our goals.

  17. habsfaninboston says:

Cole drives to the net. What a beast!

  18. showey47 says:

moen probably feels worse now because his screw up probably did cost us the game.

  19. Hali_Hab says:

If they played a period like they play the last minute of games we would score some goals.

  20. gumper says:

Man, this guy Cole really knows his way around in the crease. Do you think he could teach Eller?

  21. Ton says:

3-2 turnovers cost us in this game, pk superstar and moen (out of character for him)

  22. SmartDog says:

Moen totally fugged that up, but Price’s compete level was soft. He failed the poke check and then just watched Marchand skate past and score. A goalie with mojo would’ve fallen/jumped/or eat least LEANED back.

Listen to the Smart Dog. He knows his poop!

    • Ton says:

get a life price kept them in the game. how do you defend when your sure that puck is it to exit your zone 100%

    • Chuck says:

After he missed the poke-check, Marchand was already by him. Nothing he could have done at that point other than throw his stick.

Edit: just saw the replay, and Price DID move his sick from the pokecheck position to in between Marchand and the goal.

  23. Bill says:

No quit in these guys, overmatched as they are, love it.

    Full Breezer 4 Life

  24. Propwash says:

    Cole is a friggin’ ANIMAL!

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  25. ludwig44 says:

Good move giving Darche more icetime than Eller Jacques……I mean…….whatever!!

  26. durocher says:

DD line, the only legit line we have. Cole is beast.

  27. t1tan5 says:

    Too little, too late.

  28. novahab says:

I don’t care what Thomas has won he a hack with a horse shoe up his ass. No other goalie can get away kicking out those big juicey rebounds like he does.

  29. Bozo McBozo says:

We should have been more patient with JM. All he wanted to do was build a team around Matt Darche!

  30. sreuel says:

Get players with hart who want to play the game like back then

  31. Bozo McBozo says:

    The tank IS coming!

  32. Wops says:

If JM was coaching, everybody would be 4th line with 2min left #blamepk

  33. Rad says:

Cole is amazing. Night after night, he’s our best forward.

  34. novahab says:

The Blackhawks are licking their chops . They have 20 goals in one game pictured in thier minds. I say wave the white flag bring the team home and skate them and teach them to pass before you play another game.

  35. ludwig44 says:

WOW this group really stinks. I don’t think your turning this group around no matter who coaches. This bunch of underachievers is cooked (burnt really). Wait ! – Gomez wasn’t playing – my bad.

  36. So sad to see the Habs so bottled up. Trying, but talent not there. Cant try to pop it out of the D zone. So many give aways, need to carry it out. Then the language BS. Team is doomed unless they focus on winning.

Promote the Youth, Support From The Veterans and Remember the Heritage!

  37. PureGuava says:

I know that goal was all Moen, but Price looked like he had no desire to make the save there out of sheer disgust.

  38. Propwash says:

    Cue the whaaaaaambulance.

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  39. Clay says:

Boston is a better team than the Habs. It pains me to say it, but it’s the truth, so no sense denying it. Time to start building a team that can compete, because this one can’t.

“Talent is a gift from God, but you only succeed with hard work. Yvan was proof of that.” – Jean Beliveau.

  40. solsub says:

    This team just sucks.

  41. durocher says:

The upside is if we become “sellers,” we can hopefully get prospects and picks in return. But, with PG, you never know. He may trade our 1st round pick for a 7th.

  42. adam76 says:

Montreal is done – blow up the team and start from scratch

  43. The Dude says:

That’s why Tomas is the best there is….when he shuts the door it stays closed!

  44. gumper says:

Worth mentioning I suppose, that prior to that last goal our two top lines spent their entire shifts trapped in our zone. The fallacy is that you can’t have both size and speed. Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Boston Bruins. Ah well, who expected a different result?

  45. JVF says:

    I miss Alex Kovalev…

  46. Paulin98C says:

Today is my birthday, I ask for a WIN, looks like that will not happen.

In the event of loss, I said I want a top 3 draft pick for next draft.

Hardhabit, sir, I will join your tank squadron.

  47. Habbu says:

Could say lots, but getting to the point why bother? It’s all been said before and done before. Over & out……10-4

  48. topher5468 says:

Turnover machines, No margin for error on this team, Can’t kill Moen at least he comes to play every night.

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  49. Bozo McBozo says:

Fact the facts! This team just flat out suckssssssssssssssssssssss!

  50. LL-not the hockey player says:

It’s going from bad to worse. Learning curve with new coach, yeah, that’s it.

  51. Rad says:

Good on RC for putting Moen right back out there. I’m liking this Coach.

  52. LimestoneHab says:

The only reason to watch now is to see if someone can wipe that ugly smile off marchands face!

  53. Wops says:

Campoli’s wind up, a bit long there.

  54. Danno says:

I guess the Cunneymoon© is over

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  55. jo_maka says:

Snipes crapped the bed on that……..smh…..
Open-mindedness is not a skull fracture

  56. HotHabs says:

how many of these turnovers do we have to endure before this team gets it!

    Moen, u suck!

  57. Habsolutely says:

lazy disgusting hockey. if they play like this in front of me on New Years eve, they’re gonna hear about it.

  58. JasonM says:

The same old story…. let’s play the trap while trailing in the 3rd, afraid to make mistakes… waiitng for the other team to make mistakes….

  59. ffenliv says:

Price has gotta want to kill for some of these mistakes. 2 goals from miserable defensive-zone turnovers.

Habs make a mistake and it ends up in the net. Bruins make a mistake, and no one in a white sweater can finish.

  60. habsfaninboston says:

They can’t clear the zone if their lives depended on it. It’s like a PP out there.

  61. HabCez says:

    im really sorry Carey..
my heart is going out to you..

    “Emelin’s the real deal.”
    – HabCez

  62. PureGuava says:

Hard to win a game with a play like that.

  63. Rad says:

    The runt with the dagger

  64. Danno says:

    Goodnight Irene

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”

  65. showey47 says:

    great play moen.

  66. The Dude says:

    Price ????????????????????????????????????

  67. durocher says:

That play was off-side to begin with

  68. Propwash says:

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  69. Duracell3 says:

    Carey no don’t do it!

  70. Wops says:

@boone for the third goal #blamepk

  71. immortalhab says:

PK just spent over a year getting benched for playing well. I have to believe he’ll come back. AK is constantly defended on this site even though he’s fed more opposing teams the puck than anyone alive.

  72. Hali_Hab says:

Does any one remember what sustained offensive pressure looks like? Well I mean the kind that is not in our end.

  73. HardHabits says:

Emelin cannot sit in favour of Diaz.

  74. durocher says:

If Jack Edwards says “swivel” or a variation thereof again this broadcast, I may go crazy.
