Liveblog: Penguins 7 – Canadiens 6 in OT

P.K.Pitt

For providing that much entertainment, both teams deserved two points.
This was like the Thrilla in Manilla.
Six goals in the second period, four in the third.
And one 52 seconds into Overtime, by Brandon Sutter, who had a wide-open look to Carey Price’s glove side.
Great game.

Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe had the best tweet: “NHL moved its All-Star Game to Montreal tonight?”

Canadiens outshot the visitors 39-36 and battled back from deficits of 4-2 and 6-5.

Statistical oddity: Only one power-play goal, Sutter in the first period.

The seven goals  on Price equal what he allowed in his previous four games.

The Canadiens have at laest a point in 10 straight games – first such streak since Feb. 23-March19, 1994.

Will they have anything left in Boston?

Last time 13 goals were scored at the Bell Centre: Oct. 21, 2006, Canadiens 8 – Colorado 5
