I gotta be real honest. We won 5-2 and it did NOTHING for me. Maybe because it was against Tampa (no hate factor); maybe because it was too easy … Tampa played as if they all wanted to set-up Stamkos; or maybe because was too little too late… sort of.
So I say ‘hold our noses’ and LOSE LOSE!
I can wait till next year to get that ‘winning’ feeling again. Knowing that the LEAFS aint making the playoffs is good enough for me that I will give them a free win this weekend.
Haven’t seen any comments re either of the following two players.
LL.. He played a good game I think. Every now and then he shows enough hands and eye for the net that it looks as he may be the next ‘graduate’ like Max Pac and DD and Subban to really become the ‘foundation’ of the team. I hope he blossoms like crazy next year. Although inconsistent, he has ‘something’.

I hope the new General Manager has a brain and can make sound decisions. I know this will no doubt cause flax but the Price concussion is a blessing because now is the time not to resign sign him. The concussion can be the excuse. Carey Price is an average goalie, no question or argument about his status, please. I miss Halak and hope he takes the Blues far in the playoffs. It is time to completely rebuild the Montreal Canadiens because they have only one line and a few good D men.

If halak’s competition is any indication he won’t be carrying the blues into the playoffs.In 45 games halak has played only 18 were against teams holding a playoff spot and the majority of those were against the bubble teams. Only 5 games against top 4 teams. Elliot has been getting the tougher draws and still has the better numbers by a good margain.For the most part,halak has been sheltered and barring injury or collapse will be the backup goalie come playoff time.

I was always amazed when I met people that didn’t like hockey. I always thought to myself ” how can you not like one of the most intense and exciting sports that exists?” …. Well, I think for those who don’t religiously follow a team like most of here do, and don’t realize what each point could mean (obviously when a teams playoff hopes are still alive) each hockey game watched is a big “meh…”
Probably the same with almost any sport. Although I have to say that I have never heard anyone who happened to click on a curling game describe it as ‘boring’. Strange! Maybe because of the strategy?

Lightening has the same problem that we do. We have one great line like them and a weak defense. They are playing very loose and enjoying themselves and that is when Max plays best. We need to do that next year against tougher teams, build the D and have at least one other line that can put up 75 goals. I’m sure Tampa knows that too.
