The kid, chosen third overall in a draft that seems a long time ago, scored the first of what will be many, many NHL goals.
It gave the Canadiens a 4-1 lead in the second period and sent the Bell Centre faithful into a frenzy.

He’s had a couple of those types of plays on the PP tonight… winning board battles and getting to loose pucks.

i still say Eller belongs on third line. I can still see a line of Eller Gally and Gallagher on that third line
For me, it’s Plekanec, Eller and Galchenyuk.
Pleks plays top competition, Eller is a secondary shutdown center and Galchenyuk is on the exploitation role against lesser competition.

Agree with you about Desharnais. If Therrien is consistent, it should be he who sits. See what Eller can do centring one of the top two lines.
Okay now I feel bad for Eller, if team closes this out in 3rd, him getting back in lineup just got tougher.
But…. 3rd period still to come, we all rememer last year too well.

great showing so far but they seriously need to stop being the most undisciplines team in the league. It can definately hurt them in the long run.
