The Kings are 10-1 in the playoffs and have won seven road games in a row.
They have not trailed since the opening game of the St. Louis series, when David Backes’ goal put the Kings down 1-0 … for 7:42.
The Kings have scored 34 playoff goals and allowed 16.
Jeff Carter came to life with a hat trick in Game 2.
Phoenix captain Shane Doan and Martin Hanzal got game misconducts and could face further discipline.
It was a great run for the NHL’s poor relations this spring, but the Western Conference final smells an awful lot like Over.
Now that their power play has come to life, the eighth-place Kings are excelling in every aspect of the game.
Since the latter part of the regular season, they are 19-3-3.
They are 35-14-11 under Darryl Sutter.

Well Mr. Boone, it’s a sad day for Reds fans. Dalglish is out as Liverpool manager. If he can’t get this admittedly mediocre team out of it’s hole, I would think nobody can.

People can criticize Don Cherry but he did say a couple of weeks ago that LA was a team to watch because they play the most like the bruins of last year. And I didnt hear any other analyst give LA a second look…LA is frickin’ steamrolling and over elite teams too.

Primetime – I’m the poster you’re looking for after 46 years I would say it’s about time LA is finally doing good in the playoffs. I believe the Habs have 24 cups that’s more than half as many compared to Kings years… 46 years I believe they’ve been around. anyway have a good summer maybe I can build a good team for ya. gotta get busy with the consultant job.

Hmmm, my hometown team is going to be very difficult to beat in the Stanley Cup finals. It seems likely they will sweep the Coyotes, who, with a little luck for the Kings, may be held scoreless through the rest of the series. Complete domination in every facet of the game by the Kings in Game 2. I’d like to see them take the Cup since they haven’t won in the 45 years of their existence. They’re playing like champions, so they may end up deserving it, too. Looking forward to a possible Rangers-Kings finals.
Not cheering for Kings, but cheering for Lakers.
Must be a crazy fun time to be a sports fan in LA
People in L.A. are largely from other places and they bring their sports allegiances with them. The Lakers and the Kings have their fans, of course, but there are many Angelenos who hate them. Yes, it’s a good time to be in LA for sports fans. Our Galaxy soccer team won last year (and went to the White House today to meet the President although they stink this season) and even the Dodgers are doing well, but there’s still no gridiron football team.
They showed a sports cast in LA & in the background it had the logos of the 3 LA teams in the playofffs- Clippers,Lakers & Kings so
they got Clippers & Lakers logos right but showed the logo of The Sacromento Kings not LA………
And that was the local NBC station, affiliated with the NBC network that is showing the playoffs.
Does anyone know how many 1st rounders LA drafted on the curent roster? I don’t recall them “tanking” so how could they possibly be the Cup favorite right now. I thought it was said that just making the playoffs wasn’t good enough? I wish I could remember who posted these comments….I think it was some poster who thought he should be hired as a Consultant for the Habs…..

They had a couple of high picks, since 2000 they’ve picked 11th 3 times, 4th in 2007, 2nd in 2008, and 5th in 2009. They didn’t totally tank a la Pittsburgh but they did have some decent picks and drafted pretty well.
