“fecking” is not a word. And I know he’s Canadian. I didn’t say ship him back – I said ship him to. And I’m sure Americans are worried about violence in hockey
And Americans in general don’t care about hockey. Part of the reason is that they are so heavily invested in football. Another part of the reason is that hockey has a bad reputation here.
You can wink all you want. Every marketing study done on the subject has confirmed that American fans don’t go to games to see fights- it is the CANADIAN market that is most conservative when it comes to hockey rule changes, particularly those that pertain to fighting.
… the fans of the Boston Bruins now have lost forever any right to complain that “the league” is out to get their team, and that the Montreal Canadiens have some kind of pull inside the NHL home office.
Playing to win for 2 periods was “so far so great” the 3rd was a classic JM defensive shell!
Why change what was working?

Just love it when a fellow Canadian sticks up for the US. This is the third time I’ve had someone come to their rescue. Thank God people are willing to stick up for those poor Yankees.
And the problem is?? I am as die-hard a Canadian as anyone, born and raised and worked the no side of referendums and coordinated buses to the 95 rally, so I won’t take patriotism lessons from anyfeckingone. But I have also lived and worked everywhere from Tokyo to Oswego NY (birthplace of Eric Cole) to where I am now: Fort Lauderdale. And TRUST ME: we are more similar to the USA than we are different.
Price: thorougbred. That’s all
Spacek: any more simple he’d be a machine.
Cole: whole new dimension to the team
MaxPac: I’m in love.
P.K.: if he keeps the discipline up, he’ll be in the elite.
A.K.: Always a danger
Georges: he’s ba-a-a-a-ck!
The morons here in Ottawa do a segment every morning with that retard McGuire..he was spewing his usual crap going about how he and Pearn were best buddy pals(like most of the NHL)…and how Gauthier is such an a hole for firing him…were I work usually if you get your ass canned they don’t turn around and offer you another job with the company…as Gauthier offered him another job with the organization..pretty decent I would say…bunch of friggen haters who cares what they think anyway…
Un Canadien, thank you for that intelligent argument. I couldn’t agree more. I would like to add that it’s awful that we pay CBC to let Don Cherry be the voice of Machiavellianism in Canada. Ship him to the US where violence is worshipped.
I don’t think the US is the only place where violence is cheered. Fans in Canada stand up and yell just as loud for a fight as they do in the US, and in every building fans go wild for a huge hit, and only after it becomes obvious that a player is injured do they calm down.
I, too, appreciated Un Canadien’s argument, and the way he (she? .. who knows) wrote it up – a level you don’t often see on the internet. I just disagree with parts of it.
I like this version of JM thats worried about his job security. Seems to be letting the boys play some hockey and rewarding hard work in smart ways and not juggling the lines as much. Have these last three games been a mirage??
… the fans of the Boston Bruins now have lost forever any right to complain that “the league” is out to get their team, and that the Montreal Canadiens have some kind of pull inside the NHL home office.
Hockey Inside/Out encourages lively debate, but there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism, profanity and behaviour that we deem to be offensive.
We will, without warning, ban those who do not abide by this simple rule, so as to maximize the enjoyment of readers and participants of both sexes and all ages.
No one saw this coming. Hope we can keep the good vibes going.
I’m totally convinced now: Americans don’t believe in violence.
Who’d a thunk 3 wins vs Philly Bos Bos. Yippee I can finally leave the basement
good game boys but alot closer then it should have been.
Three Stars: DD, Cole, Diaz!
beating boston back to back. i love it. love it. great job boys.
My three stars for Montreal are Cole, Darche and Diaz.
No we’re not. As a Canadian I have very little in common with American values. I won’t be lumped in with Conservatives.
Leave the basement. Seriously. You don’t know shit, troll
As an american let me say, thank god, no canadian has my values. You’re a DOUCHE!!!
WOOOO! Back-to-back sweep of the Bruins!
Isn’t it nice to beat the arseholes twice in a ROW.
sorry…from the politically incorrect generation…i mean no slight..how about “tool”
second place is just the first loser
no small forwards on the ice now please.
Gio miss: Pleks hit!! (And what a calm classy play–Star !)
Thanks be to God……aaaaamen
WOOOO
PLEKY – Keep your tricks with you Julien.
LOL @ Budaj looking at the Bruins bench with a big grin.

Finally we get an empty netter!
Yea baby!!!
thank you pleky wooooohoooo
come on gio
Is this a “late unnecessary icing causing a loss” deja vu?
PK played that one like a rookie….He was all over the place.
That’s on you PK for that dumb icing
Price needs to have the paddle on the ice there
why do things always need to be like this?
I am an an American born… I DON’T THINK SO:)
Is DD playing this period?
Diaz is an intelligent player. Whoever discovered him….kudos
Ms Campbell what is accidently on purpose icing ?
She’s hot leave her alone.
lol
Julien calls a TO. Hope this works against him.
PK didn’t try to score, Boone. He misjudged his lob.
Subban you idiot! (JM uses the “F’ word ;–)
When our forwards forecheck then wer’re hard to beat.
Just now think when we add Ryan White to 4th line with blunden I hope
Diaz has absolute calm.
He has been a pleasant surprise.
That montage of Julien exasberated was brilliant on Rds
I know,i was laughing my ass off.
“fecking” is not a word. And I know he’s Canadian. I didn’t say ship him back – I said ship him to. And I’m sure Americans are worried about violence in hockey
It is indeed an Irishism.
And Americans in general don’t care about hockey. Part of the reason is that they are so heavily invested in football. Another part of the reason is that hockey has a bad reputation here.

Julien is quite the crude f*ck*n’ b*st*rd.
Nice seeing Cole talking to AK and Eller!
Is that Cole Eller AK? Yay!
Yepper
I like what Blunden brings to his limited role. Exerts good pressure and finishes his checks. Can’t complain.
I agree.
Yep,a much more useful 4th liner then palushaj would be in that role.
JM is playing not to lose AGAIN!
Just play to win !
… the fans of the Boston Bruins now have lost forever any right to complain that “the league” is out to get their team, and that the Montreal Canadiens have some kind of pull inside the NHL home office.
Charles P. Pierce – Boston Globe
So far so great, dude….

Cole plays well against Boston.
Eller is definitely a work-in-progress (but I bet he will eventually be great.)
When does AK46 cut to the net like Cole does. That’s a breath of fresh air. AK46= trade bait.
Nice plays by Cole!!
Anybody seen Max in the third?
Was just about to ask that myself.

Nice defensive play by subban

Please do not use the word “retard” in this context. It is offensive.
That said, I generally agree. But please don’t use that word
Darche is having an awesome game tonight.
Puck watching in our own zone not good
Nice miss
too fancy on the 2 on 1.
Habs don’t play again till Friday?!?!? Who the hell does the sched for the NHL, a room full of monkeys throwing feces at each other?

Do I need to remind you that Cherry is CANADIAN?
And that the biggest challenge facing hockey in US markets is that the game is perceived as needlessly violent?
Ignoramus. Get your facts straight. Canadians can be so fecking smug.
Eller still being put into the game and not stapled to the bench. WTF is going on here? It’s like somebody hacked JM’s account.
Krecji should have been called for slashing that caused Eller to turn the puck over.
I was saying the same thing. I’m thinking if it hadn’t already been 5-0 in powerplays there would have been a penalty call made.
or his notepad
I like this version of JM thats worried about his job security. Seems to be letting the boys play some hockey and rewarding hard work in smart ways and not juggling the lines as much. Have these last three games been a mirage??
Yes, glad to see a more rookie player has been given a chance to redeem himself.
Nice Price imitation…..Tuuka
I hope the Bruins don’t hire Perry Pearn and immediately fire him…
Boston has The Hamilton Bulldogs coaching staff from 2003 – Julien, Jarvis & Ward…….
Time for #15 to score after Montreal’s other centres have scored tonight……
Nice play by AK…Eller should have a hat trick tonight.
ability is what you’re capable of doing.
attitude determines how you do it
Nice save by rask
Whoop-de-do
WOW. Sick move by AK, and sick save by Rask

Am I missing something about Cammi & Gionta? They look nogood…
One of them will be trade bait for sure. As well as Weber and AK46.
I don’t think we can afford to trade young defencemen that is under contract since we have 4 defencemen that could leave as ufa’s this summer.
I would keep Cammy off the ice…..he’s not right
When is Subban going to get a wood stick?
This styrofoam one just won’t do.

“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
This is pretty crazy reffing tonight. We are definitely paying for the penalty parade in the second. At least they are equal opportunity I guess..
Cassie showcasing herself for Juliens job, lol.
Goon show!
Only from behind!

Frustration from the Hunchback…and no call
