  1. JIMVINNY says:

What a dive. He actually jumped.

  2. MikeL says:

What exactly is Cammalleri’s purpose? He’s terrible right now. Avoids contact at ALL costs.

  3. RiverviewCanadien says:

    Mike Cammalleri.

Is fatherhood that tough on him?

EDIT: Leblanc is a smart player with the puck. He should get more minutes this period, some from Cammalleri who should sit for a while.

  4. HabCez says:

    CW mix the lines..
put LL/Eller/AK together they had some chem for the short time together..
and Darche/Plec/Cammy to tackle the top line
    wont hurt

    “Emelin’s the real deal.”
    – HabCez

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  6. Habitant in Surrey says:

…I’m kinda missin’ JM at this moment 🙁

    Habitant means PASSIONATE HOCKEY

  7. Rainrocket16 says:

    This team really really Sucks!!!

  8. Rad says:

Now they’re going to forecheck and backcheck us to death.

  9. riddler says:

Imagine what our record would be without Price!

  10. topher5468 says:

Holy crap is Cammalleri awful, so sad really.

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  11. SLYDER says:

whoever wants pleks to go is baked

hands down the best two-way player on the team and the best PK guy they have

what they need is a #1 center – pleks cant play half the game, especially when hes the #1 PK center

me thinks this will be lars eller in 2 years or less

regarding the PP, tonight its running at 25% – twice the season % before this game

  12. NLhabsfan says:

Devils going to do what that do best… Play the blue line and dump it in and burn the clock.Protect the lead.

  13. Habbu says:

What team played last night? Habs look gassed.

  14. riddler says:

Ok. Truth is……we just aren’t that good.

  15. bellcentre hotdog says:

Stating the obvious here, but it’s going to take at least 5 goals to win tonight … So what’s more likely … 5 goals on Brodeur or hell freezing over?

  16. Rad says:

    Terrible PP … where’s Kaberle?

  17. Propwash says:

So, do we throw RC under the bus yet?

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  18. HabFanSince72 says:

Who was in charge of the PP under Martin?

  19. SmartDog says:

Two guys playing like they just got freed from prison: Lars Eller and Andrei Kostitsyn

Listen to the Smart Dog. He knows his poop!

  20. topher5468 says:

Just like I said, Turnover Machine,

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  21. HNS says:

    No playoffs for this mess.

  22. BK says:

Nobody is happier than AK about Jm getting sacked, Maybe this coach will let him play his game and give him more ice.

  23. HabFanSince72 says:

Well at least we’re going down playing firewagon hockey.

  24. Habitant in Surrey says:

…THAT is the Campoli I thought He was ! …He is an albatross defensively

    Habitant means PASSIONATE HOCKEY

  25. Bill says:

Thoughts to keep you up at night: how much did Martin’s The System insulate Carey Price?

    Full Breezer 4 Life

  26. Da Hema says:

There will not be any excuses about what’s wrong with the players after tonight if the Canadiens lose.

  27. RGM says:

    That was bowling shoe ugly.
GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!

  28. The Dude says:

Reminds me of BB Kings..”The thrill is gone!” song………….

  29. JIMVINNY says:

The Habs would have been called for hooking for sure.

  30. bellcentre hotdog says:

It just doesn’t get any more brutal folks.

    Nice play Campoli.

  31. Bill says:

Hey, Cunneyworth, tighten up that D, LOL

    Full Breezer 4 Life

  32. Propwash says:

    Horrible giveaway.

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  33. SLYDER says:

    um…campoli – you f*&^ked up

  34. Rad says:

    Lars Eller, meet Anton Volchenkov

  35. VancouverHab says:

Okay — the HNIC second intermission crew … are all reviving Don Cherry’s ideas for stopping concussions.

“A prophet is not without honour except in his own country….”

    • kakey says:

Anything repeated enough times, will eventually becomes the accepted truth.

      • VancouverHab says:

Except Grapes is on record (we have the video tape) of predicting the increase in head injuries and identifying their specific cause. And like all true prophets, he was mocked, derided and insulted.

Good thing his wealth is perfect insulation from the mocking herd ;–)

        • kakey says:

I have not watching Coach’s Corner, nor Hot Stove since this season, but I remember when he was pushing for softer/smaller pads, which, like you said, predates the present concussion epidemic. I agreed with him to a certain point. (But Cherry was “mocked, derided and insulted” for other reasons than this)

I guess my point was more toward the lack of original individual thoughts from the HNIC crew.

        • SmartDog says:

Grapes did have this right – and he was the lone voice for a long time. And Hitler built Germany into a strong empire before he decided to exterminate nations like they were toys in his sandbox.

Listen to the Smart Dog. He knows his poop!

  36. bellcentre hotdog says:

    Cammy has lost his mojo.

  37. RGM says:

OK time for the new coach to show his stripes. Close game, potentially wear opponent, time to go on the attack!
GO HABS GO! 2011-12 is our year!

  38. NLhabsfan says:

Despite the fact I HATE Milbury … Big mouth no nothing…hope he never comes back.

  39. NLhabsfan says:

Milbury has been a bad coach beating up on kids:)

  40. Marc10 says:

Well, well… looks like Cams has a spring in his step…

I predict he’ll get the winner.

  41. Rad says:

Let’s see if the Habs can pull one out for the Old Gipper … or is that Gumper

  42. Psycho29 says:

An empty seat on the Hot Stove…..Where’s Milbury?? 😉

  43. edtheh says:

Is it just me or could we use a big centreman who wins 50-60% of face-offs???

  44. habsfan0 says:

Wonder what JM is doing tonight?
    A) Watching the game at home and still taking notes;

    B) Bowling with Carbo;

    C) Having a good time at Chez Paree

    • Da Hema says:

I would imagine he is sipping brandy and using $20 bills to light his Cuban cigars with that severance package he originally negotiated. Clever man, but what a tragedy that players, agents, and coaches seem to constantly screw the Canadiens financially.

  45. chilli says:

Cammaro is our worst player right now. AK not playing well, but he can always snipe one. Cammaro doesn’t feel close to scoring.

I might be alone on this but Gomez would help this team. They are now pushing the offense and with the D playing aggressive offensively, Gomez would help.

  46. habs001 says:

sabres played last night 6-1 pitts after 2 ..devils played last night and we are life and excuse not to win this game

  47. topher5468 says:

This team is a turn over Machine, gotta get that fixed, pronto

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  48. Higman says:

So happy to finally see the boys let loose. This team will get better.

  49. rogieshan says:

For those who thought Darche would be worried about his job security with Martin gone: he’s logging more minutes than Eller tonight.

  50. topher5468 says:

” Uncle Jocko’s”, good one Boone

“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”

  51. kempie says:

Well the next 20 will be the real test won’t it?

  52. alwayssunny says:

Fun hockey at least. Haven’t been able to count on that for a while. Time will tell how the team gels and plays as a unit under Cunneyworth’s guidance but I’m enjoying the pace of this game anyway.

  53. edtheh says:

I saw someone posted trade Gomez, Gio and Camm for Kovalchuk. Kovalchuk is an overpaid dud and minus 9. We already have an overpaid dud in Gomez.
    Lamoriello is regretting that signing.

  54. duffy says:

The difference between these two teams is Jersey knows how to hit the net with every shot ,Montreal is lucky to hit the net every ten shots.

  55. JIMVINNY says:

Oh, and how does Larsson get away with that crosscheck on Blunden, with the ref 5 feet away, and staring directly at them?

  56. Doooie86 says:

Not usually one to rag on Pleks but that was a pretty selfish play – AK 46 was wiiiiiiiiide open and has been much hotter lately – Brodeur is going to stop a slapshot that he can see more often than not

  57. durocher says:

I’m confused by all this excitement and energy the team is showing

  58. rogieshan says:

Plekanec has turned into the new Brian Skrudland.

  59. sCOTT1243 says:

Pleks wtf are you doing? Pick a corner or pass you donkey….0 confidence this year.

  60. NLhabsfan says:

Nice push back hope they can do the same in the 3rd

  61. JIMVINNY says:

Multiple crosschecks go uncalled on that sequence.

  62. Rad says:

    Habs showing some fight tonight.

  63. HabFanSince72 says:

Hate to say it but we still suck.

  64. rogieshan says:

Can’t blame the youngsters on that goal. Plekanec, Cammalleri & Gill all on the ice.

  65. Propwash says:

Price should have had that, granted it was a laser.

    Being negative has its advantages,
    you’re never disappointed.

  66. NLhabsfan says:

Not much changed can’t hold on to lead.

  67. rogieshan says:

Team should really consider converting Plekanec back into a winger – he’s can’t win a draw to save his life.

  68. Rad says:

    I already like Cunneyworth.

  69. HabFanSince72 says:

We’re actually getting fairly seriously outplayed.

  70. Chorske says:

I think HNIC colour guys are trying to set a personal best for number of nice things said about the Habs. WTF?

  71. sCOTT1243 says:

Explain how Cole got that interference penalty and nothing on Clarkson on PAC, Clarkson also jumped.

Anone notice on Eller goal, Darche standing right in front…About time guys!

  72. JIMVINNY says:

Eller’s goal wasn’t a one-timer. He stopped the puck first.

  73. neumann103 says:

2P Break Cunneyworth went to talk to Eller right away.
    by Mike Boone 8:25 PM

    “Et le but!”
