The thing about parity in the NHL is that the standings make it look like the teams are close to each other but the reality is that there are only 10 teams out of 30 that are any good and have a legitimate shot at winning the Cup. Neither of these teams makes that short list.
Roll 4 lines for the rest of the season, 3 sets of D. Let Buf, Car, TB, NYI… and hopefully EDM pull ahead.. 2nd overall pick is easily obtainable.. 8th playoff spot is a long shot, and for what? 4 painful games against the Rangers, no thanks.
