What the hell happened to #2 ranked Notre Dame last night? They got bombed 9-2 by unranked Northeastern University. Habs prospect Steve Quailer had three assists.

  2. PrimeTime says:

Boone is a joke. Said a loss against the Ducks was the beginning of the end. Media lead perception but never “realism”

    • smiler2729 says:

Boone is more or less the reason you have the freedom to even say something that… would you rather talk to yourself in your mommy’s basement while you watch these games? Or do you like the vent forum Booner allows us?

      Shaddup and get real.

Good to see JM giving Lablanc more ice time….. But when Patches comes back this kid needs to go back to Hamilton for more seasoning….

  4. Rob D says:

Sometimes you watch this team and they look pretty decent. But the truth comes out over time and they really aren’t a competitive team right now. I watch the odd game just to watch Eller, Subban, Price and today..Leblanc. The rest won’t be around when they are ready to contend for the division.

Cole missed about 3 chances to score tonight. Nice player, no finish? NO, he’ll be OK. but he’s got to start burying them as CAmmy looks like he’s joining Gionta in the “take a year” off club. Along with Markov who will probably never play for them again. You heard it here first.. I think they’d be better just to tell him to take the year off..He’s a very good player but he isn’t going to get them to the playoffs anyway. Only Price can do that..and wow…this is one of the best games I’ve ever seen him play. That first period was awesome..He just took it over and let the Kings know the puck stops…right here.

PG has only given the scribes 3 interviews this year? He’s a putz but he’s safe. Time to fire Pearn again if things get dicey..lol

I hate watching a pop gun offense but that’s what we have. Nail biters right down to the final whistle where we hope Price can stand on his head. And right now..he can.

Hey look! A win and ….500 posts.
1200 + when the Habs lose, but 500 when they win.
    HIO, Negativity Central.
Nice road win after a frustrating week.
Chippy, gritty, and at times ugly.

Watched Diaz to see why is Martin playing the hell out of him. 24min21secs today. He makes a lot of quick decisions in his zone with and without the puck. He can’t hit worth crap, but he knew how to check effectively against most LA Kings I saw him up against. +1 in a 2-1 game. Only Gorges, who had a gritty game, played more.

  6. Marc10 says:

    Solid road game.

If there was a way, I’d try to get Beauchemin from Anaheim. He’s got a bit of size, he’s a local and a former Hab, and he’d help the PP. I’d make that move in a heartbeat.

I’d also send Gomer for reconditioning in the minors. The Dogs need some help and Gomer needs to find a way to score. If he fails to light it up, I bury him there and use the cash. Do it now PG. Do it now.

  7. Sharks9 says:

Unfortunately for us, Ottaw and Washington play each other so we won’t keep our 8th place position past tonight.

    25 before 14

  8. rocketsglare says:

Gutsy team win. 3 points out of a possible 6 on this road trip.
I’ll take that any time. The Habs are hovering near a playoff
spot. Considering this team’s problems, I’m actually hopeful
about this team making the playoffs once the injured return.

    Go Habs Go!

  9. Sharks9 says:

Alright Boston, this is the only time all year I want you to win! And please make it a regulation game!

  10. deuce6 says:

I will still keep the shirt, Boone….If it weren’t for Price early in the game we wouldn’t have had a sniff of a W…

  12. Exit716 says:

Cammy has an awesome house in LA. i guess his shoulder must be injured because he’s shying away from contact and missing easy chances. AK46 is a beast. Great game for him today. Hard, tough and no stupid dives etc….Sign him now….none of this waiting BS. Every other team can do it.

  13. naweed235 says:

Jeez… the race is so tight in the East… the best one can hope for out of tonight’s games is that none go to OT… No matter what happens the habs will lose the 8th spot they are currently holding.

  14. naweed235 says:

Any chance Gauthier learned something from this road trip? More specifically take a page out of the Duck’s book and fire JM after a win?

  15. Danno says:

What a gritty, grindy, chippy kind of game. And the Habs win a nail-biter. Carey Price is God! And that is why we have 2 big points

PK needs a trip to the press box. Could’ve cost us the game with his icing while on the power play and his non-call slash with time running out. WTF.

    “Hate Bruins like a sickness”

    • Bob_Sacamano says:

You then can also send Gill to the pressbox for being awfully slow, Gionta and Cammalleri for not scoring, Cole for his penalties…

Whatever, AK really deserves a lot of credit. He´s been consistent this season and if it wasn´t for 10 games he´s missed, be would easily be our third, maybe second best scorer. What an assist, what a goal!

  17. Habitant in Surrey says:

…I’m only a Habs’ Fan, and international hockey fan (when Canada is involved) …so don’t follow other NHL teams …but I hear all this love and lust for Our Habs to acquire this Anze Kopitar dude

Darn it… guess I have to root for the Booins tonight… or would I feel better simply cheering against the Leafs?

    • Bob_Sacamano says:

I´ll be watching the Washington game but the Booins will make the playoffs anyway, so it´s better if the Leafs lose.

    • punkster says:

Not me. I’ll cheer for the Leafs in regulation. Regardless of some expert opinion here the Laffs and their stars can’t sustain their early season numbers so robbing the Bruins of a couple of points will help us. Then there’s the physical factors. Would like to see a tough, hard hitting, heavy hurting game between these two tonight with lots of injuries, suspensions and the like.

      ***Subbang Baby!!!***

    • HabFanSince72 says:

Google a pic of Chara lifting the cup and then tell me you’re cheering for the Bs.

  20. Sharks9 says:

Only 3 points behind the Laffs in the standings.

But we’re still horrible and they’re amazing according to the media.
    25 before 14

  21. Bob_Sacamano says:

I am okay with the first two stars but the third one has to go to Boone for his penis comment.

  22. filincal says:

The time keeper’s two “mistakes” gave the home team their time-out they’d used up…an obvious home ice advantage.

  23. 24 Cups says:

What a gutsy effort by the Habs. Subban almost lost it twice in the last minute of play, but we hung on to prevail. Beat Columbus next game and we’re right back in it.

Molsons better start saving some coin to pay Carey. He’s basically the heart of the franchise right now.

  24. AceMagnum says:

Well it was fun. My two favorite teams giving us a good battle, this would be my dream finals.

Carey is great. Now I’m gonna enjoy the weather and city.

Anyone know a good strip club in L.A.? Preferably one where I won’t get shot

  25. HardHabits says:

    Plan the parade!!!

  26. Habifax says:

this foolishness when a player breaks the other players stick a penalty is called is bs. If they add ten oz to the stick it wouldn’t happen. Just because a players chooses to use a stick with no weight or strength he gets a call if it breaks. I say it is BS!

    • ffenliv says:

The league is in a bad spot with the new sticks. There’s no way a ref can judge, without a details inspection of the stick at a crime lab after the fact, if it broke because of a forceful hit, or because these sticks breaks easy (even more easily if they have a chip in them), so they just call them all.

They’d rather have more goal-scoring, and players with broken sticks don’t score, and teams (most of them, anyway) with powerplays, do.

The refs totally blew the call on LA, but like the whole incident with Price against the Penguins in overtime, the angle just wasn’t right.

  27. Danno says:

And the Jacques Martin job-security program keeps chugging along

Great win! Slightly tempers the Markov news today.

  29. punkster says:

I don’t care how they did it, they did it. That was an entertaining game with the end right result. Can’t ask for more than that.

Guy running the clock gives them the time out that they didn’t have.

  37. Wayne says:

These new sticks are shit and have become far too involved in changing the flow to a game. Can I get a KOHO here?

  38. punkster says:

    Consistent officiating.

    Consistently crap both ways.

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  39. Chuck says:

All of this started from PK taking that stupid icing.

  40. Timo says:

Boy, got away with one there.

  41. HabCez says:

    Hey! what the hey Pk..

    “Emelin’s the real deal.”

  42. JIMVINNY says:

Really? Icing the puck while on a PP?

  43. Chuck says:

    Icing? Oh, PK…

  44. idle says:

PULL Price and push for the insurance goal!

  45. Timo says:

Is Brown LA’s pick or did he come from somewhere?

  46. JIMVINNY says:

LOL. Gio just knocked Kopitar down….

  47. HabinBurlington says:

Not sure what injury PK has been nursing , but hope it isn’t bad back, cuz his back will be feeling that.

  48. Stuck_in_To. says:

Love it… commentators can see Cammy’s penalty right away but when PK is dumped from behind they are all befuddled as to what is being called …

  49. HabCez says:

take one for the team Pk!

    “Emelin’s the real deal.”
    - HabCez

  50. JIMVINNY says:

    That was pure idiocy.

  51. dhenry1234 says:

    lol Boone
I guess Eller is an idiot and should be suspended for doing that same play behind the net in the first?

  52. Feraco says:

Subban took a good one…that’s should be 4 minutes

  53. Feraco says:

    The stadium is pumping!!

  54. Mavid says:

    and there it is

second place is just the first loser

  55. SLYDER says:

eeesh – questionable at best – and questionable is never a good call this late in a tight game

  56. NLhabsfan says:

    What a poor call!!!

  57. JIMVINNY says:

There it is… The ridiculous penalty call late in a game.

  58. HabinBurlington says:

How in the world is that hooking?

  59. Mavid says:

looks like PK has had enough of them touching Price…good on him..

second place is just the first loser

  60. Danno says:

  61. Wayne says:

    See that?

3 Habs behind the net, puck alone in the slot. They almost NEVER go to the next or create traffic. It’s been like that for years.

  62. Timo says:

I spent 2 hrs at a kids xmas party today… it was more entertaining than this game.

  63. Chuck says:

Cammy’s had a decent game. Habs have to get his mom to all of them.

  64. Habbu says:

Thought they had turned the corner with the PP…………nope not yet

  65. Feraco says:

“Give a guy time and they will score.” any hockey coach or player.

    Unless your Michael Cammalleri

  66. Timo says:

    Gionta is awful.

  67. Feraco says:

What the heck has happened to Weber

  68. Feraco says:

No net presence on this team.

Why is there never a pass in the middle?

  69. Bill says:

Gorges on the power-play … he’s great in every other situation, but the PP is just kryptonite to this guy.

    Full Breezer 4 Life

  70. twilighthours says:

Really liked emelin’s reaction there. Would have gone berserk if price needed him to. This kid is growing on me.

  71. Feraco says:

Excellent passes on the PP by Kostitsyn

    Hate the 1 man forecheck…

Price gets nailed!!! HAVE to score on this PP

  72. Danno says:

Well that was scary. You can kiss the season goodbye if Price ever gets hurt.
