I watched the Leaf game (can’t get the Hqbs game here in Ontario) and they looked awful. They got their a** handed to them by St Louis…but the blues couldn’t buy one. Scrivens stole it.

Both Moen and Spacek are playing for contracts. The funny thing is that the Habs would sorely miss both of them because at the moment (along with AK46) they are among the Habs best players.

How do they bench Emelin after the horror show that Weber has been over the last five games? For close to a half dozen consecutive games Weber’s been blowing coverages, turning the puck over in all three zones, been soft on the puck and hasn’t been winning battles, but Emelin gets benched after a mistake.

Say what you want about their current play. But guys like Gomez, Cammalleri, Gill, Spacek and Cole have paid their dues in the NHL.
I’m scratching my head(actually reaching for another beverage), what has Yannick Weber done to earn the rope he’s been given that Emelin hasn’t. If math is the same now as it was when I went to school, Emelin has been a professional player for a significantly longer period of time than Weber has.
I agree, certain players have paid their dues and earned a little leeway, and certain players haven’t.
And despite all that, Weber has still been better than Diaz.
