Man, just how bad was Perry Pearn?
AUDIO of General Manager Pierre Gauthier in French and English
Best part of this W?
It shuts up the radio pundits .. for a while.
Who were those guys in red-white and blue and where have they been all season? Wow, who woulda thunk it? Cole and Max Pac were beasts out there tonight.
So, can they find THAT again tomorrow night? Boston isn’t off to a great start either.
Congrats Carey. On to 200!
Weber’s goal was the turning point IMO. Not to take anything away from the Habs but it appears to me that the Flyers underestimated them tonight.
I felt it was simmonds missing an open net and also,i think it was giroux, that price robbed and then we went down and scored to make it 3-1.
Great game. 2 points:
1) CP no pink pads
2) JM keep Cole on PP
This was one small step in the right direction. Big test tomorrow to see if we can repeat tonight’s solid effort!
All is well in Hab land again!!!!!!!
Just goes to show we don’t need Gomez in our line up!!!!!!
One win does not mean we don’t need Gomez, just like this doesn’t mean we don’t need Markov… just don’t need his salary
Marc Denis – how do you take that performance and carry it to the Boston game?
WTF kind of question is that? How do you answer that? I put it in my back pack and take it on the plane with me as a carry-on? Man… seriously, do people get jobs on TV?
Sooo agree Timo.
if I had a nickle for every time I’ve asked myself that question I’d be rich.
Been waiting for that triple low 5!
Cage aux Sports better pony up some free wings.
The team finally got a few good bounces tonight and took advantage of it. Tomorrow night, they pass Boston in the standings.
“They don’t hang Conference Championship Banners from the rafters here”
Would that be nice.
Cool! Forgot this feeling.. the win was great but the hockey from the habs.. i only watched last two periods… great.
Glad Price’s 100 was a convincing WIN.
And I ask the question again… what do you do with Gomez when he comes back.
Call Jeff Gillooly.
Who will call Shaun Eckhart to do the clubbing
Tonya Harding and Scott Gomez will appear as a pair on Battle of the Blades.
LOL! You made me spill my ffffing drink. U gotta warn a guy before you pop gems like that!
And I thought you people were astute. It was Pearn’s fault all along! Hmmph!
Congrats to Pricey on 100.
Great game and we need more like that. Lots more… Let’s see how we go tomorrow against Colin Campbell’s Team.
Price played fantastic.
Great win tonight , Was worried in the first period but we turned it around nicely. I love beating Philly almost as much as beating Boston . Come on boys you can do it. 3-0 against my most hated teams would make my week
So who gets fired tomorrow?
PP’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain
Stickboy i figure is soon John. You don’t hold an official position with Habs do you?
What … what … what are you suggestin’, H’B? You want me to be the next sacrifice, after I’ve given 50 years, three marriages, two firstborns and a normal life to this team? Geez, it’s never enough with this bunch.
Great to see our boys playing with gusto and having a good time.
Finally !! Great to see, and what a relief.
Great to see the boys smileing, they should get a split with the Bruins.
Bloody Flyers. They choose tonight to have an off game, and save Martin’s job.
Oy ’72, our team murdered them.
Litmus test this week-end.
So, what just happened?
It’s a magic word from the ancient times. I think they used to call it a win.
What does it do!?
Does it mean us any harm? I feel funny.
If you string many of them together it can stop an oncoming tank.
To Mr. Boone: if I could make a constructive suggestion, when you’re blogging, can you include when a goal is scored? I cannot get the show here and am relying on the blog (or I’d like to). I can’t tell from your blog when they score or who scored. You said something about Cole making a rush but right around then Cammalleri scored (I had to go to TSN to figure it out). The comments are great, don’t get me wrong, but getting in the key points (i.e. goals especially) would be great. Thanks again for all your work; it’s really a great live blog.
Good point. If you’re not watching and trying to follow the blog you sometimes can’t tell.
I agree! I get the game but I like following along with Boone’s blog too. Makes me feel part of a big crowd. So YES… when a goal is scored ‘announce’ it as if you were calling play by play Boone.
And thanks for the blog….. you know we love ya… as much as JM luvd Perry!
Congrats to Carey! Three stars:
1. Max Power
Nail Yakupov is highly overrated
Cole playing hard and fast, even if he doesn’t score, opens up space, draws penalties and gets us puck control. Thats how he should play every game whether he plays 20 minutes or 20 seconds.
Eller, my boy, put the puck in. Not his best game tonight, but played well.
Subban, quiet but effective.
Gionta… invisible lol.
Pacioretty – the skies the limit.
Price: Love the fact that he plays great and we just expect it.
Got our money’s worth out of Cole tonight.
Begs the question, are the Habs this good when things click, or are the Flyers overrated?
They did look terrible tonight.
Third penalty drawn by Cole
It’s now safe to say. 100 wins.!!!
This is kinda what had all the optimisn in HIO before the season started. Suddenly they look like a team with solid parts… two power forwards …. two good young D-MEN…. star goalie.
Price the diff tonight. Held the fort.
never mind, poor judgemetn
even though Pac has the 2 goals..
Cole deserves 1st star votes..
2 nd Pac
3rd Perry for being the scapegoat
1 – Patches
2 – Price
3 – Cole
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
hehe.. most probable choices
YEP wished I lived in MTL. Have 10 for me!
I wouldn’t touch La Cage’s wings with a cattleprod.
They are free man.. arent they?
What’s with the split-personality on this team? Against Winnipeg, Buffalo, and Philly they look great. Otherwise they look brutal. Which team is it? Hopefully this one … hurry up Markov … Take your time Scotty G …
Full Breezer 4 Life
The kid Dezzy has some point-gathering skill, yes?
I shall endeavor to spread the word.
Back from the Brink’s boasts L. B. Potter, esq.
Freezer burned crap unsuitable for consumption by bovines on the house tonight, baby!
Fire somebody else on Friday please.
It works like a charm
What is going on? I’m not use to this type of play.

STILL 2 forcheckers, holy shit JM you took the hint with PP being fired! your still a douche in my books
Very soft goal by the Flyers. But Cammalleri will take it to pad the stats.
Yikes!! Now that’s what I’m talkin bout…
Sal from the Hammer
3 stars: price, cole, max (price #1 just cause of win 100)
Time to put Cole on the bench and break up that silly line before it goes to their heads.
Nice goal by cammy, but i wish it was cole who would have scored it. He has been a beast tonight.
Cole did the dirty work on that one, he’s had a great night.
what great work by the Cole, DD, Cammy line!
See AK knock Giroux off the puck… that’s what happens when you put one of our guys up against one of those Philly midgets.
That’s what size/strength will do for you.
BAG Belarusian Grit
DD and Cole were awesome there.
That was ALL Cole!!! Man, I hope he pots one in soon. Great work!!!
GReat Great work by Cole
I think we found a line!
Cole’s name all over that one.
It’s a rout.
What a shift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mazeltov Carey, hundreds more
I am suddenly looking forwrd to the Bruins GAMES
Pop goes the Molson…….welcome home my sweet little amber ale……hmmm….quite the refreshing beverage.
So JM lives to coach another game.
It must be quiet around the Sherman Tank, No?
Nah. I changed the treads to skates and painted a CH logo on and a #72 on it.
Poor Flyers, they look like pre-Pearn firing Habs.
What happens when regulation time runs out, and we have more goals than the other team?
Let you know if it happens, I will watch closely
Something opposite than whats been happening the last few games, can’t quite put my finger on it……
Pleks gets mugged and somehow gets a penalty for it.
I’m really liking how how the Habs forwards are stopping on the puck tonight following a broken play or turnover instead of making a big loop or doing a lazy”flyby”. That kind of attention to detail is what leads to wins while the other stuff explains their more recent fate.
“Shut up and play against him” – Bob Gainey (2011 Heritage Classic)
JM’s writing down in his notebook, remember to buy Max-Pac a car and a case of beer for Pearn!!!
How the hell does Lee have a job in the NHL?
Its time to switch to whiskey, we’ve been drinkin’ beer all night
listens to Papa Campbell well
giroux got 2 xtra minutes
Chris Lee…anyone know where he lives?
Another lousy call by the refs.
how did we end up getting one????
How the eff does plex get called for that
What did I just say?
Bonehead hockey commences….
Nokelainen and Blunden better than Palushaj and Enqvist…
… Waiting for Emelin Mr JM
With all the guys they lost / traded I don’t think this flyers team is as good as last year with or without Pronger
When they play a physical game they definitely play better…Cole awesome tonight. PG a Genious, yes?!
