Ok get ready for the Flyers Goon Show…comin up

  2. HabFanSince72 says:

Laviolette putting Couturier on the PK to show him he trusts him.

Jacques – now there’s something worth writing on that notepad of yours.

  3. HardHabits says:

This is a much more aggressive fore-check than I’ve seen yet this season from the Habs.

They are lucky to have gotten out of the first tied as they were completely dominated in that period. Laviolette’s TO seemed to have inspired the wrong (right, for us) team.

  4. HabinBurlington says:

AK is so on the verge of something all the time

  5. jwhogeveen says:

The team looks like they are “supporting” each other tonight. Something Gio said wasn’t happening at the first intermission on TSN.

    Cheers

  6. Habbu says:

AK go to the net……..I am not going to tell you again

  7. HabsFanMTL says:

tomorrow in boston will be the real test

  8. Just A Guy says:

As much as I hate to admit it, this game could have been much much different if Simmonds had buried a few of his chances before the game got out of hand. Having said that, I guess the time finally came that the habs had the bounces go their way, and wow I love how they’re playing with confidence now, especially against such a “smash mouth” team like the flyers.

  9. Danno says:

That weasel-faced goof Chris F Lee is going to make another lame call any time now.

Jagr has still got thE goods.

  11. Timo says:

I wonder if Habs have turned into a team that other teams expect to be an easy win and then boomski! Habs explode.

  12. habstrinifan says:

OK I know I’ll get weird looks for this one. But what do you do with Gomez when he comes back?

    • Coach K says:

No weird looks at all. Its a fair question that I have been asking as well. Who says we have to let him come back … give him the Redden treatment. It’s clear that Eller is a significant upgrade.

  13. daveho29 says:

I’ll take the blame for the poor start and the credit for tonight’s game,so far.
I had tim thomas in a hockey pool(a friend picked my team for me) and traded him away yesterday for Quick. Just too much bad mojo having him as my goalie. Also had a ring tone that said “the Montreal Canadiens win the stanley cup” changed it today.
    Sorry.

  14. HabsFanMTL says:

notice that wasn’t a full body check, thats how strong Hal Gill is, he merely pushed him a little and almost crushed the guy, imagine if Gill really body checked like chara does?

  15. kempie says:

Man, without Pronger, Carcillo and Richards in the lineup, the Flyers have noticbly lowered their Massengill Quotient.

  16. Habbu says:

Shaddup Pronger Pronger Pronger….we are a different team with Markov ya dummies

  17. Habifax says:

Whose worth more Cole or Gionta?

  18. HabinBurlington says:

    Hal Gill with a bodycheck?

  19. Trisomy 21 says:

    Habs are on a roll!

  28. Habbu says:

Good things happen when pucks and players go to the net!

  29. hansolo says:

We won a F/O. D takes the shot, a forward who drove to the net scored a goal. Just like a regular hockey team…

  30. RockinRey says:

Imagine how good this team could be if they had kept some of the pieces that they gave up on?

  31. Sal says:

    PLEKS!! No PATCHES! !Yea Baby!!!

    Sal from the Hammer

  32. Habso says:

my god, as a habs fan it’s so refreshing to have a big power forward that goes to the net. when was the last, Leclair..?

  33. HardHabits says:

    The kid’s made of Patchmantium.

  34. t1tan5 says:

    Remember Gomez?

  35. Danno says:

That’s the guy with the broken wrist right?

  43. hansolo says:

F-ing “Ole” — wish it would stop.

  44. Habbu says:

If the Habs win tonight I am going to end my boycott of Molson’s beer

  45. on’t want to hold my breath Mr. Boone. I’ve been holding it for two decades almost. We need major changes and a great game from the Habs will take the noose off of G and JM’s necks. Boston will beat us up and we’ll be licking our wounds for a long, painful season.

  46. Timo says:

How the F do you not score here?

  47. HardHabits says:

The Pink Helmet would have missed that.

  48. kempie says:

Crawford has that “Je parle français” smile on him tonight.

  49. HabFanSince72 says:

Scott Hartnell is hard to like.

  50. duffy says:

Philly needs the fans to start the OLE OLE chant to get them fired up

  51. Propwash says:

Finally watching a game that is far less painful than my dentist appointment I had today.

  52. V says:

Man, the guy I think deserves a tone of credit is Pacioretty. No one would have said a word if he sat this one out after that injury the other night – instead, he’s one of the best players on the ice.

The kid is a stud and an emerging leader on the team.

  53. 1010 says:

    Subban looking better tonight.
Gill…well, the poor guy is really struggling.

    GO HABS…

  54. Habbu says:

Let’s keep pushing the pace; none of this sitting back on our heels waiting for them to bring the play to us……….are you listening JM?

  55. RockinRey says:

Who knew it was all the assistant coaches fault? Best line i heard was who’s next the Equipment Manager?

  56. Mondou6 says:

Not to be a total downer, but…Is winning for the 2nd time in 9 games really cause for this much wild celebration?

Expansion teams set the bar higher than this.

Ok, sorry…Back to planning the Cup parade for our 2-6-2 team.

  57. HardHabits says:

#Habs Gauthier also said Markov could be back on ice as early as next week

  58. Habso says:

nice work by Cole. using his body and making things happen.

  59. Habifax says:

    Next goal is huge

  60. HabinBurlington says:

So were gonna have to fire a different habs employee before every game here on out. I would hate to be the stickboy in about 2 weeks.

  61. habaholic68NJ says:

Nice to get some breaks for a change. Three posts by the flyers, late goal for us in the first with confidence in the second.
Fearless prediction, if we go for the kill (don’t bet on it), we win. If we sit back, Flyers will tie it up in the third.

  62. RockinRey says:

Bag one early and keep the intensity up boys!!

  63. Propwash says:

It’s a matter of time until Cole starts potting goals.

    Price 3 – 1 Brizgalow

… and waiting to see Emelin playing !!

    Go Habss Go!!

  65. HabCez says:

perhaps the best period for the habs by far..
not counting the jets game where the jets.. by far made it too easy (mistakes)

also PK unit playing well.. and not over using Cammy on the PK unit.. was over used last game and it showed on the ice..

good to see Ak and Pac working some chemistry..

ohh and Cole getting PP exposure and showing everyone why he is a power forward..

note: lucky first though with all post..

  66. Nina76 says:

Lots of fire keep going boys…………..it is so good to see it……………has been too long…..I BELIEVE!!!!!!

  67. The Dude says:

Nice 2nd period for the good guy’s…..fire Martin after Boston, lol

  68. Say Ash says:

Can we fire Pearn again tomorrow?

  69. Sal says:

Typical Phillthy flyer response, goon hockey. Expect more of the same tomorrow and saturday.

    Sal from the Hammer

    • Marc10 says:

They’re not the same without Pronger.

It might explain why Hurricane Cole is in full force tonight. Still… Ole! Ole!

Now let’s see Cams and Eller bury a couple.

  70. kempie says:

I have a feeling JM is in the room cautioning everybody to be cool & not run up the score.

  71. sane hockey fan says:

one things for sure…flyers arent as rough and tumble as they used to be…

  72. HabinBurlington says:

bryzgalov handles the puck on his stick as well as i work a vaccum

  73. LL says:

Cole, exactly the kind of player this team needed.

  74. NLhabsfan says:

    Good call for change.

  75. HardHabits says:

Looks like blood. Could be 4 minutes.
