And they looked like crap in losing 4-1 to the 29th team in the NHL.
On to San Jose and L.A.
Looking grim, folks.

Man, what it would be like to have a proactive GM…A Hab fan can only dream..

    ——————

Yes, I’m a Hab fan..Wanna fight about it?

  2. JIMVINNY says:

So if the team that just smoked the Habs fires their coach, what does that say about the sad situation of Les Canadiens?

  3. Sotxhabsfan says:

Part of the problem is that we Habs fans are ravenous about hockey. Ownership doesn’t see an issue because the seats at Bell Centre are still being filled. Why put out money to buy out contracts and try to get a winner when we still fill the stands?

  4. JIMVINNY says:

Well I guess that means carlyle is available. I like him better than boudreau anyways.

  5. J.Ambrose.OBrien says:

The women-folk wailed in their black mourning shawls. The priest uttered last rites while the grim-faced physician packed up his bag. And greedy men, called GM’s, huddled, haggling over the moribund team’s property.

But then, when all seemed bleakest and blackest, a great light appeared on the horizon, bathed in blue, white and red colours, and followed by a multitude of believers wearing the same colours, chanting hosanna olé-olé-olé.

Suddenly the wheezing, dying Duck-team rose from its death-bed and began to strut and score. And all were amazed, and knew that this divine entity known by many names — sometimes simply “Habs” — must truly be holy, for it raised the dead. And having done so, it went forth across the American lands performing more generous miracles.

And therein lies the true religion of the modern Montreal Canadiens.

    I remember Dec. 31, 1975

Great. That was great. I too remember ’75, and ’65 for that matter, and this team is nothing like either of those teams. But hey our management sucks, our draft dept sucks, our coaching sucks, our players suck. We suck. Worst display of team effort ever in a habs jersey displayed tonight. What a fragmented bunch of nobodies running around with no purpose or direction. Note to new Gm trade Subban and Cammaleri before I have to watch their pathetic selfish play one more time. Is there a worse player in the NHl than Cammaleri? Mike, hit the net man, throw a check, hold your stick with two hands, try and back check, try and do something, try and look like your in the NHL making 6 mil per season, god this guy is useless. And Desharnai, my God man score already. How many chances does a guy need to score and tonight you had a gift which could have put the game into a different perspective with a 2-0 lead. Your not in this league for your size or your looks so do something besides make theior goalie look great every game. And if JM is still coach after this road trip I will see everyone next year because I will be done watching this crap. Never threw in the towel beofre on a habs team but I can’t stand this present compilation of AHL and ECHL caliber players. So better to sit out than complain. Call me when we have a team with some players who want to play hard and win for each other. Bring back Scotty please.

Well Anaheim got him first, they just fired Carlyle and hired Boudreau.

Funny how some teams can man up instead of paralyzing themselves with self imposed restrictions.

  7. szthecatman says:

    Breaking news:

Randy Carlyle fired… Replaced by Bruce Boudreau

  8. AceMagnum says:

You gotta be kidding me!! Boudreau hired by Ducks!

  9. that was the worst game i have seen them play all season. No passion…something has to change immediately or it is going to be a…looooonnnnnng season… if they keep this up, i expect to do plenty of work out in the garden this spring, as they will not make the playoffs, and i can be done with this routing for a team…
it is so sad our powerplay…these are professionals? yikes…if i were coach i would kick a few butts….and say a few harsh words inbetween periods… blah blah…ouch…grrrr $#@$#Q$E#
i expect a restless night, tossing and turning… how to light a fire?…hmmm

  10. roady says:

Sad effort all across the board…made me sick to watch this so-called team…total disgrace to the CH, just disgusting. They quit, plain and simple… going to puke now.

take your drink to the end of the bar buddy…come on now, don’t be a fool…

  11. ZimHabwe says:

Bring Glen Metropolit back. At least he worked hard for the 750 000 (or whatever low salary it was) he was earning.

    Where’s Cammy?

Also PP strategy is simple. Puck to Cole. Cole to offensive zone. Puck comes back to point. Point man fakes a shot. Passes it to Cammy and then we score. Oh wait….we tried that tonight. OK I give up. Let’s just race to the bottom and get a #1.

    • 24moreCups says:

I really liked Metropolit and he really liked it here in Montreal.

Also I think for awhile he was doing well on our PP, I think he lead the team in PP goals(10) he had a career high in goals that year also(16) Right handed centre who came pretty cheap, don’t know why we ever got rid of him.

    • durocher says:

Metro and Kostopolous had more stones than the current Habs offense combined

    • podbay says:

Bring back Metro, indeed. Why didn’t we re-sign him again? And we let Dom Moore go? Why? Salary cap bullpoop, right? As for getting the #1 draft pick, even if we do, PG will ensure that we draft someone who will need to be prepped and primed in the minors for five years first.
