With the Canadiens enjoying a two-man advantage, Tomas Plekanec opened the scoring on a nice pass by Andrei Markov.
Then, still on the PP, Markov converted a Max Pacioretty feed to make it 2-0.

Agreed. Price is settling the whole team down. Great leadership.
Price is really steady this year. There is a player who is growing. The goals are fun, and a bit of a novelty, but the steady goaltending is impressive.
Solid play all around.
Next game however, I’d replace White with Eller.
May I suggest Eller in for Cole. Wakeup call may be good for Erik.
Cole’s a notoriously slow starter, he’ll be fine in a few games.

We scored more goals on the Caps in that one period than we scored n the whole of last season.
I still say if we had Eller centering the 4th line. we would have four potential scoring lines. I like white don’t get me wrong. but I think Eller has more up side to him. maybe MT has White there for toughness. it’s a tough situation to be in. having to sit Eller with the two Gally’s playing so well.
Eller wouldn’t be doing as well on the PK.
Or be able to fight.
Eller’s the odd man out, and has obviously played/practiced himself into the press box.
