In Hab games, Lee must have 4:1 penalties against MTL. At some point, WTF?

I was upset to see him go, cuz I thought Lee had finally called a penalty that helped Montreal. But, no, he proved true to form.
Say what you want about the officiating but those are dumb, dumb, dumb, DUMB penalties, Guess when you have such a great penalty-kill team, players have no qualms about taking selfish, stupid penalties. yep, watching a team play shorthanded so long is a real hoot. That will boost TV ratings.

i suspect that Subban’s ass-hit will be outlawed at one point. Not only is it careless, but potentially dangerous to the player being hit in regards to a back of the helmet to front of the face hit.
I disagree. It’s a devastating hit when done properly but it rattles the body not the head.

Notwithstanding the Habs recent improved play, the Senators look like crap.
Parity in the NHL has that affect on many playoff teams.
I think the bottom 20 teams are closer than that even but not close to the 5-10 teams that top the league. Parity has levelled the playing field yes in that there are few really, really crappy teams. And those teams get the picks.
There are still a few teams that dominate. This season those teams are St. Louis, Detroit, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Rangers, and even though faltering a bit as of late, Vancouver, Chicago and Boston.
In that list I would say there is a 90% probability that you have your Cup winner.

PK skating up the ice, demonstrating his speed and skill, dodging defenders, then dumping it in at the red line…reminded me strongly of Gomez. Just for a moment, but it was terrifying.
No Markov, no Gomez, no Kaberle, no powerplay.
Better we try for the short handed goals to win here.

Plekanec was his usual laconic self. McLean evidently wanted more sizzle from the “bother the player during the intermission with two cliche questions” interview and quipped that they needed Chris Neil to get Tomas Plekanec going for the interview, the way he got the senators going in the first period.
My main criticism of McLean isn’t these littel attempts to say something clever that just comes off like adick, it is that he feels he has to try to to do this all the time. He cannot just exit a segment wothout some stupid pun or idiot quip. Just leave it alone
