Price is an oyster. Unfortunately not all oysters produce pearls.
I like prust and the kids, he gives them room, goes to the net and lets them be creative together. Pacioretty and the kids won’t work. bourque would be interesting, his game would be similar to prust but with more skill. I just don’t know about taking him off the pleks line.
I like Eller and the kids myself. No problem with Prust, but he doesn’t have the skills to put it in the mesh when Chucky sets him up. Seen it too many times already this year.

So even though Galchenyuk , Gallagher and Prust (ok not that young) only have 7, 6, and 4 points respectively, they also have the top 3 +/- on the team…with 6, 5 and 4 respectively. That means they have been nearly perfect when on the ice and more effective as compared to the top 3 point-getters; Plekanec (11 pts, -3 +/-), Markov (10 pts, -2 +/-) and Diaz (9 pts, 0 +/-). I know we all know they have been good, but I was surprised at their overall effectiveness compared to the “big guns”.

They definitely been playing responsibly. But to compare them to Pleks is absolutely ridiculous. Pleks has almost twice as much ice time per game, plays against the other teams top players, and plays in every game situation; PP and PK.
With regards to Markov and Plex, they usually play heavy minutes against other teams top players, and most of their points are on the PP.

Exactly. I think a lot of people lose sight of the fact that PP points don’t count in +/-. Surely that would skew the stat a fair bit.
