Do players really benefit from these new ultra-fragile sticks? Maybe they gain 1 mph on their slapshot, but you always see some good chances ruined when the stick snaps in half on a normal shot.
I don’t know about the pros, but I believe that I have a better feel for the puck with the lighter stick. But that’s just me.

Why does our style of play now differ so much, or feels like it does anyway, compared to the seasons first 5-6 of games?

Emelin handles the puck worse than Komisarek. Hes basically like any other Right side Dman that plays with Markov, they hit, block shots but handle the puck like a live grenade
Emelin is not a RH Dman. He is fine when he plays the left side
