What a great game I watched tonight. The Senators shut out the Bruins 1-0. Alot better than watching 2 AHL teams go at it in Tampa. But I do see that Brad Staubitz dropped the mitts. How did he do. WHen was the last time a Habs player showed any type of emotion by dropping the mitts aside from Ryan White.
Can’t win it for # 4, can’t win against a sick and horrible defensive team. Garon looked like Hasek….. We suck

With players like Staubitz on the ice, opposing goons will be less likely to take free runs at players like Max, Subban, Price, Cole, etc.
We’ve seen what’s happened already when we have no players capable of fighting back.
But it’s not the goons that do the running.
It’s the cheap-shot artists like Malone, who aren’t smart enougt to be intimidated by the goon.
They just run away from them.

Just what on earth did that fight accomplish? Had it been Malone, I could have understood it was some sort of “frontier justice” but I don’t get the purpose of that bout at all.
I’m glad the “tsk tsk”s are starting already. If Malone was still in the game it may have been him. You can’t quantify what it accomplished. But I’m glad it was Staubitz taking the punches instead of whatever other meek player Lebrie could just start whaling on if he wanted to. Maybe it sent a message to our skill players that they don’t have to fend off goons. Maybe eventually it will send a message that you might have to answer for liberties that have been taken nearly every single game against us.
Funny how a grease ball like Malone blows a gasket after a hit like that, but the dirt bag throws alot worse himself and injured alot of players with his “play” Remember his “hit” against the HABS to start the season. I was a fan of him but not after seeing his grease come out CLASSLESS
