The Canadiens have at least a point in nine straight games and sit atop the Eastern Conference.
It was their first win in Ontario this season.

On the other hand, Prust was lucky that Phaneuf didn’t respond. If they had got fighting majors, Prust would likely have got an extra 2 for instigation

It seems to me that the Habs do better when they treat every game as if it were a home game. The concept of grinding out a road win kind of offends me — why shouldn’t they play their game, which is attack-oriented, wherever they are?
Last season seemed like 82 road games. Today’s game, while on the road, featured Montreal attacking and dominating the Leafs. If that’s how they play road games the rest of the way, I for one will be delighted.
It’s how they’ve plated a lot of them so far, so you should be quite delighted. I am.
