HUGE win.
Your Montreal Canadiens scored three unanswered goals in the thirds period to break open a 2-2 game and finally rack up a W against Toronto.
Rookie Brendan Gallagher’s sixth of the season was the winner.
Red-hot Max Pacioretty’s second goal made it 4-2 and Brian Gionta stripped Phil Kessel to cinch it with an empty-netter.
The Canadiens outshot the home team 40-23.

David Desharnais had two assists for the Canadiens, who played a dominant and disciplined game, taking only one minor penalty.

The Canadiens have at least a point in nine straight games and sit atop the Eastern Conference.

It was their first win in Ontario this season.

The Habs coaching staff are doing a GREAT job and though Therrien is getting all the acolades and deservedly so, the two assistants are doing an amazing job and the players are responding (and they had better heed their instructions).
Prust does not look for trouble but he will defend his comrades from overly aggressive opponents who took liberties last year.
He needs help though and I am sure there are more trades coming (Kaberle, Armstrong). Bergevin knows the western conference and there will more trades before the deadline: bring in some tough players.
