Make that six losses in a row in Calgary.
The Canadiens have not won here since January, 2002.
They did make it interesting, rallying from a 5-2 deficit to turn the game into a nail-biter.
But in the end, it was another L in the season from Hell.
On the brightside, patch has more goals than giroux. And saying price is bad or that halak would be better??? Not to bash halak, he was great, but where were the haters last season? Halak benefits from a good team and a good partner, he couldnt play the load price does and be as succesful, nor would we be better off had we kept him.
The good: First line, as it has all year, carried the team. Patches played well, Desharnais worked hard and Cole, well, he’s the MVP of the team as far as I’m concerned.
The bad: Price’s blunder on the fifth goal. Hey, these things happen.
The ugly: One word — Kaberle. Hate to be so negative about this guy but does he ever do the right thing? He never covers anyone, wanders around aimlessly in the offensive zone, pinches at the wrong time and has a shot that wouldn’t scare Miss Daisy. As bad as the Gomez trade has turned out to be for the Habs, at least Scotty gave us a good first year in bleu, blance et rouge and Pyatt was a serviceable player for a bit. Kaberle zoned out the minute he won the Cup last year with the Booins. And we have him for two more years. Ouch.
You’re out to lunch if you thought Kaberle was the ugliest Habs player tonight. Good lord. He actually finished in the + column – one of only three Habs to do so – and he played over 21 minutes!
AS per Dave Stubbs ; The last three years games lost to injuries 236-262-253 and this season 324 games with 16 games to go. When you have 20 million plus in salaries sitting out it is hard to win with AHL players going against NHL players…..

Why do folks feel the need to qualify before they critique Price. Yet another game where he has let in a couple of softies. He is by far not my Molson Cup first star of the year. Give the title to Cole, Deharnais, or Max Pac long before Price.
As long as that tendency continues, he’ll always remain average. Nothing to do with Halak. The Canadiens would be prudent if they sought to at least use one of their better draft picks to select a young goalie, just in case Price never quite lives up to those expectations that he’s already been anointed with………
Why is it that greater hockey minds than ours are pegging him as a the starting goalie for Canada in the next Olympics, yet he is constantly being dismissed by the fans who have the pleasure of seeing him play on a regular basis?
Could it be that they recognize the mediocrity of the team playing in front of him, and realize how good he could be with a skilled lineup?
Draft Malcolm Subban. But nothing good will ever happen with Gainey-Gauthier-Cunneyworth at the helm. It’s in Molson’s quart I mean corner now.

Ok, i changed the channel a long time ago to watch the returns of Super Tuesday on CNN. Just flipped back to see Price allow that goal.
I Know Price is frustrated, he’s not allowed to do what he did on that turnover. The D didn’t need his help there and had no business giving that puck away for an empty net goal.

Sad state of affairs, the owner must grow some gonads and make executive type decisions now. There is no sense in waiting, hand over the regins to someone who can begin assessing the value of the team. There is no reason PG should still be there.
Why will he give a damm all business brosss
That he pulled the chute at the perfect moment. Thats why he would give a damn. To congratulate himself on jettisoning the lifeboat moments before the iceberg hit. Pat himself on the back and say good job old boy, good job.
That was just Carey making sure the Habs get a good draft pick.
Ole Eller can take me out back and put me down with a shot like that!
World class move there Carey. Way to go.
“Is the little dog going to yap, or is he going to bite?”
You’re a dull jerk
I sure am. Better than a little prima donna like Price. I find him overrated and considering he’s ranked 17th in the league, it’s fitting.
“Is the little dog going to yap, or is he going to bite?”
I agree. You’re an idiot!
Thank you, Makka. Coming from somebody as high stature as yourself, I’m appreciative. Now, if you could please rotate my tires and change the oil, please.
“Is the little dog going to yap, or is he going to bite?”
U can just FO!
Flounder ominously? Watch that bone, lookin pretty brittle with that team out there tonight.
“Is the little dog going to yap, or is he going to bite?”
Hopefully Price can get all the gaffs out of his system tonight. Not a Venzina performance, but I will not hang him out to dry. He should be back strong against Van (and rest against Edm)
