They did still have a one goal lead to protect, but to take a 4 (yes a 4 min penalty you do realize that is 20 percent of the period ) the way he did which was for nothing is friggin idiotic man. The fact that you are trying to defend it raises some eyebrows.
Not defending him but no need to nail him to the cross. He made a mistake that coast a goal. He is not the only Habs player so far that has done it!
Why wasn’t P.K. on for the final 22 seconds. We needed some muscle in front of the net…not Georges and Markov. They couldn’t move anyone. And you can’t hold a lead when the puck is in the other end with 16 seconds left? Wrong players on the ice. Trade White…get a back-up goalie and smack Cole up-side the head…WAKE UP!

Tonight’s loss isn’t all on him (he definitely played his part). It was a gong show in that last 13 seconds.
In the end it’s only 1 pt lost. It sucks, it’s embarrassing, it’s even comical. But it’s really not that big of a deal.
Not the end of the world, but irritating to lose a point that was in the bag!
It’s often a gong show in the final seconds when the other team has the goalie pulled. And the goal shouldn’t have counted. But fact is, it wouldn’t have been like that without White’s inexplicable “play”.
I definitely said it wasn’t all on him. But he’s gotta take most of the blame. Deny that he turned this game around … will you?

No, he definitely changed the game. But from minute 16 to minute 19.5 of that third period were great for the Habs. They reeled it back in. And teams are always fighting hard to bail out individuals for bad plays, bad penalties, etc.
I’m not happy about White’s actions. But… I’ll pst more up top.

I couldn’t agree more on Gionta. I was trying to think if there is another captain in the league who is less impactful, on and off the ice.
The guy is invisible on the ice most of the time, yes he runs around tirelessly but should we be content with him as an energy player?He doesn’t seem to have the aura you want from your captain in the dressing room or with the fans. I feel like this team doesn’t have a true captain.
This has little to do with the loss tonight, I’m talking in general.

White was a boost to the team back when we had no toughness at all. But since we added Prust, the last thing we need is an ill-tempered brain-dead smurf.
All White does is take penalties. Nothing else. He’s too small to even be a physical presence. He’s a two minute minor magnet.
His time has come and gone.
It seems that one of the philosophies preached by the coaching staff this season, is to be a good team mate. Was what White did to be penalized being a good team mate? Discuss.
What does White really do other than just sucker punch players, and not contribute offensively, oh yeah and lose fights.

Man the refs suck. Budaj gets pushed into his net. No interference.
And yeah, White taking another undisciplined penalty and it may not have come to the equalizer. Bad judgement on his part. But he has done the same thing before, and needs to learn his lesson.
