It’s not a soft goal JayBee..it’s a tough save he has to make. Has to. I bet he’ll say the same thing after the game. That was a backbreaker and he was down and back in his net.
Without Price, this is not a playoff team. He has to make up the difference with elite play. And he isn’t doing that tonight. It’s a lot to ask to hold teams to 2 or less goals but that’s what he has to do with the help of the team.
Well we got 2 quick goals like I asked for, but then the curse of the last minute of play in the period kicked in and they scored. 3rd period will be intense, we will score 1st (I call Cole) then stupid penalties will be called and Moen will tie it up! Intense play will continue the the curse of the last minute of the game will be on the Rangers and Cammi will score the Winner off the inside post!
GO HABS GO!
Boston leads 5-0 against Toronto!
Well JM you listenered to me about the passing and it is improving. Now here is how to fixed Cammy. Put a piece of ply wood in front of the next. Take about a 100 pucks then tell him you shoot till you complenty destroy the plywood if it take you two days. You do not get back on the ice til you do. Then maybe then you ‘ll hit the GD net.
REALLY REALLY ARE SOME OF YOU STILL HALAKIANS??? How the hell can you even say a bad thing about Price sinces hes the only reason we are 500 this year so far. If you want, go to NHL.com and look for the blues there, and look how good Halak is sitting on the bench. Even better , go look up soft goals, because Richards goal was far from soft, NO player should be that close to the net, with NO ONE on him. But hey, lets not blame Weber for blown coverage, or Cammalleri on the 3rd, its all Prices fault.
Then who will HH blame? Its Prices fault that Halak got traded, and its ALSO prices fault that Halak is not the superman he thought he was even in St Louis?
Much better period on account of, y’know, goals being scored by our team. Should be a dandy of a third period.

Wells thats the ball game can’t blame that on the refs . With that said can’t be easy to play the night before and then kill off 100 pentlies. These refs need to be investigated.
never seen so many dives in my life……..what a joke…………..the refs must have got paid to-nite……….ahaaaaahit in the face with a stick ranger player fell to the ice WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
Price still lets a soft one in at key points. He’s a great goalie but to be elite (Roy, Brodeur level) he’ll have to tighten his game up..He’s the least of our problems obviously but there are points in a game where a save matters more than at other times.LIke at 3-2 near the end of the second for instance..
Not only that, but when a goalie can’t see the puck come off the stick, even if it’s only for the first couple feet of the shot, they are severely handicapped in their ability to make the save.
Somewhere between 5 and 10 in the league and moving up, in my books.
Needs to win a couple of playoff rounds to go higher.
As for the “elite” tag, it is overused. If there are 30 #1 goalies in the league, what percentage of them are “elite”? What are the ranks? I would say Price is a star goalie, but not necessarily a superstar/elite goalie, if that makes any sense.
NEW YORK – NHL director of officiating Terry Gregon has taken the criticism of fans to heart and will start suspending referees whose incompetence influences the outcome of games.
“Having been a referee myself for years, I know our profession is riddled with officials who are consistently inconsistent, some would even say just rotten,” he said. “That’s got to change.”
Although the league has policies in place to discipline referees guilty of egregious calls, the rising level of incompetence among the men in stripes suggests the system isn’t working.
“I think my colleague, Brendan (Shanahan, the league’s chief disciplinarian), has the right idea,” Gregson said. “Single out examples of bad conduct, to send a message it will no longer be tolerated.”
Gregson played a video clip of a recent call that had knowledgeable hockey fans shaking their heads. A player knocked down a puck carrier with a solid body check and was given a minor penalty for interference.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d say that referee bet on the game,” Gregson chuckled. “But I know the fellow and he’s no cheater. He’s just stupid.”
Gregson isn’t worried such blunt talk will get him into hot water with the officials union. He played the clip five times, in slow motion, from different angles, and then five more times at regular speed.
“Stupid, right? Yep, that’s the way I see it, too. The NHL Officials Association will be hardpressed to argue against disciplinary action,” Gregson said, as he picked up the phone to tell the referee he was being suspended for five games.
The clip and phone call have been posted to http://www.shameshameshame.nhl, along with hundreds of other calls that have inflamed hockey fans across North America the past week.
Scary, eh?
Perhaps we were separated at birth. Were you born in a remote village at the foot of the Grampians in Scotland on a dark winter’s night, with rain pelting the windows of the broken-down van?
Wait. Never mind. That was my sister. Back to the game.

I like the way the team isn’t giving up. They played well on that PP. Earlier this season, and most of last, it would have been lights out down 0 – 3. This is still a game.
we have scored 2 goals now because we were not in the box…………………………SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO GUYS WHEN YOU PLAY HOCKEY ON THE ICE NOT IN THE PENALTY BOX!!!!!!!!!! GO GUYS GO!!!!!!!!!I BELIEVE

Ron Maclean is such a douche! Talking about how softer shoulder pads will lead to more shoulder injuries. BETTER THE SHOULDER THAN THE HEAD!!
For MacLean and Cherry the head is not important.
They have made a career of not using theirs for many years.

Shhh, you cant say that, HH might tell you that you should be in bed like a child, since your not blaming Price.
Calm down guys, it’s not over yet!
The Manapartalikes will be out soon if our team doesn’t win tonight.

Go watch the Richards goal again. How in the **** is that a soft goal? Even if Price wasn’t screened, it would not have been soft.
I think he looked weak on the Girardi goal (On his knees) but give me a break.
And as far as Price not making the right saves at the right time…guess you missed the entire 2010-2011 season.
And the last 4 games.
Haters gonna hate – don’t worry about it too much.
Over the course of a full year, Carey’s going to let in around 150 or so goals. He’ll be blamed for a large portion of them. Stuff happens.

bullet from behind a screen.
“Andrei Kostitsyn is a better hockey player than Max Pacioretty”
- Sean Bonjovi
it was a wrist shot.
1 softee as per usual for Price.
Screen shot at center of the zone by a Brad Richards…hardly a soft goal.
A bullet..yes. But he shoulda had it..in fact he HAS to have it since he is the difference between a playoff team and early golf for Les Habs .
Soft goal? not really..but one an elite goalie makes the save on.
So where would you rank Price, then? I would call him elite, but I must be missing something

Classic Price…momentum buster…unable to make saves at right time…
Yea, he should have stopped a shot from the hashmarks with a defender screaning him. GTFOH!
Price really should’ve had that…
Yeah, Richards is the modern-day PJ Stock of shooters.
