On to Game 7

What a war of attrition the playoffs are.
Latest casualties: Mason Raymond and Roberto Luongo’s confidence.
A homer series is one thing. But this is absurd:

Three games in Boston: Bruins 17 Canucks 3.

Boston scored four goals in 4:14 of the first period – fastest in league history –  to turn Game 6 into a laugher.

Tim Thomas made 36 saves.

Bruins were 46-28 on faceoffs.

Shawn Thornton led both teams with seven hits … in 10 minutes ToI.

Even the Boston PP looked great, as did the PK.

Can anyone remember a team winning the Cup while sucking this bad on the road in a final?

Canadiens, you may recall,  won twice in Boston in the first round and lost another two in OT.

I’m just sayin’ …

  1. The suckfulness of this Vancouver team will be the stuff of legend!

  2. HabFarmer says:

The new Winnipeg team would like to hire Claude Noel as head coach but they have to ask Vancouver for permission to talk to him. I’m thinking they might not get that permission if you know what I mean.

  3. Captain aHab says:

Paging the Twins, paging the Twins……

  4. Toe Blake says:

The Canucks might as well be wearing the flying V kits!

  5. _Habsoloutly_ says:

Hopefully Van scores five in the second. 😆

  6. mb says:

So, does Luongo get the start in game 7?

  7. Cdnman1 says:

I am disgusted by both of these teams and the NHL!

    Number 25 in 2011!

  8. DEANDALLEY says:

This series is a bigger STAGE than the WWE …. There is no way the Nucks can be this bad in Boston …. NO FREAKIN WAY ….

  9. Ian Cobb says:

They forfeited the game, right after the 1st one.

They never even got off the plane.

And they have the nerve to call themselves professionals.

  10. otter649 says:

    Milt Schmidt’s retired number is/was #15

  11. hablifting says:

If Vancouver were to actually win the cup in this series (assuming that they do it in 7) they would have to be one of the most undeserving teams to win ever. Other then the biting, diving, dangerous hits, trash talk in the media, numerous times on the wrong side of a blow out and just a complete lack of heart, these guys haven’t shown us much.

  12. JayBee says:

Vancouver doesn’t deserve a cup. Awful

  13. habs001 says:

reality is the bruins have been the way better team in this series..the games in vancouver have been close…games in boston not even a contest..sadly the bruins get to pick way ahead of us in the draft…

  14. HabinBurlington says:

What is the largest negative total goal differential a Stanley Cup Winner has ever had.

Great Effort Boys, PG get to work this Summer!

  15. Habs > Canucks

They actually played a tight series with Boston.

Nucks have been blown out three games now.

    • hablifting says:

Don’t you think that different teams match up differently? We skated with the Bruins sure, but maybe we’d be lulled into a skill game with Van, and IMO in that situation, we may be the ones on the negative side of 5-6 goal beatings.

      • I agree bud, Habs would have matched up differently against the Nucks. But I don’t see them getting blown out at all. I am not saying the Habs would have won the series, but they would have taken it to at least 6 games for sure. You’re underestimating the Habs here. I can see the Habs beat the Canucks in any given series after they tweak their D. With the departure of Hamrlik and Sopel and the addition of Markov and Yemelin, the team’s D is very mobile, added some mean streak and can actually support the ‘puck-possession’ system. Veteran d-men like Hamrlik, Spacek, Sopel, in my opinion were very slow and did not allow the Habs to move as a unit as they progressed. And yes, I do believe Price is better than Luongo. Serious advantage.

      • LL says:

        haha…Price over Luongo any day.

  16. Keith says:

I’m glad these aren’t my Habs.

  17. HardHabits says:

Are we to assume that Boston wins game 6 12-2 and Vancouver wins game 7 1-0?

  18. Cdnman1 says:

How many games can everything go their way?

    Number 25 in 2011!

  19. LL says:

Luongeo, how do you sucketh, let me count the ways…………..

  20. Chuck says:

Y’know, I was pretty darned sure that Red Light had retired…

  21. Bruins on pace to winning 24-0 lmao

  22. JD_ says:

And then back to Vancouver for a 1-0 Nuck win after 12 overtimes.

    You heard it here first.

  23. Steven says:

Well, 4 goals in the first 10 minutes.

Mathematically, that should be 24 goals by the time the game ends.

    Over, under? Anyone wanna bet?

  24. hansolo says:

Well, that was fun, NOT! C U in a couple of days in Couver..

  25. JasonM says:

Both Refs are Irish aren’t they?

  26. _Habsoloutly_ says:

Ryder got his one goal every thirty games.

  27. 24 Cups says:

You know it’s over when Kaberle scores.

Is there any chance that “You Think You Can Dance” is on tonight?

  28. TomNickle says:

Haha, really Alain? After the 4th goal? Not the 2nd, not the 3rd, but the 4th. That became the time to call timeout and regroup.

Hey Canucks, might wanna make Boston work for the next four at the very least.

  29. Keith says:

These guys are supreme CHOKE ARTISTS!

  30. mb says:

Wow… can they just stop the game right now or something?

  31. nek25plus says:

For the first time ever…shut up Boone!

  32. Toe Blake says:

Suckleberrie pie will be served in Vancouver Wednesday night!

  33. _Habsoloutly_ says:

Bruins all over the Nuck’s like flies on $hit. Get ready for game seven folks.

  34. Propwash says:

    ROFLMAO. Kaberle?!!??!!

  35. christophurrr says:

  36. JasonM says:

    This is ridiculous.

  37. punkster says:

“New Jack City” at 9 on MPIX or Game of Thrones re-run of last night’s episode at 10. Either way that’ll take me into the news and then an early night.

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  38. HabinBurlington says:

Definition of Bruin Hockey – After every whistle either cross check or face wash opposing player, then repeat after next whistle

Great Effort Boys, PG get to work this Summer!

  39. Ian Cobb says:

Luongo is a compleat disaster. This one is over early again.
    Back to Vancouver,

  40. Sharks9 says:

Game over less than halfway through the 1st period…

    25 before 14

  41. Mike D says:

Man, even Red Light Racicot wasn’t as bad as Lou has been in Boston.

    – Honestly yours

  42. JD_ says:

    A goal too late, Vigneault.

  43. Toe Blake says:

Louie, loueye. Oh, oh, hey we gotta go! Yea, yea, yea, yea!!!

  44. JasonM says:

    Absolutely dreadful goaltending.

  45. Keith says:

    Get him out now!

  46. Propwash says:

    GTFO Lou.

  47. HabinBurlington says:

I am sure every Canuck fan watching must be excited about Luongo for 13 more years

Great Effort Boys, PG get to work this Summer!

  48. scrowe21 says:

Wow..that was a dangerous, dirty hit on Peverly..

  49. ooder says:

uh luongo should make those saves in pre season… he is pathetic in this building
    Gomez: 36 and counting!

  50. hansolo says:

I guess you can’t “finish your check” unless you’re a Bruin. Like Aaron Rome, I don’t know what a penalty is any more

  51. HabinBurlington says:

Isn’t that hit just a good bruin hockey play?

Great Effort Boys, PG get to work this Summer!

  52. Sharks9 says:

Peverley sold that, had his head in his hands until he saw the ref’s hand went up.

    25 before 14

  53. JasonM says:

Lightning reflexes from Peverly getting up after the whistle is blown in his favor. Dive.

  54. JasonM says:

Difference between both teams cannot be more evident by the goaltending. No way a goalie in the Stanley Cup finals let in those two softies.

  55. Cdnman1 says:

I still think Vancover will win this one!

    Number 25 in 2011!

  56. HabinBurlington says:

I am guessing Dr. Recchi cured Mr. Horton.

Great Effort Boys, PG get to work this Summer!

  57. punkster says:

Plain to see Horton was faking his “concussion”.

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  58. JayBee says:

Not even halfway through the 1st and the game is already over.

One thing about the Habs….they didn’t fold up shop when the going got tough. Canucks are really mentally weak.

And Nathan Horton is in a packed Arena shaking towels….I thought he had a severe concussion?

  59. jew4jah says:

    they’re so f-in goony!
don’t know if there’s a player on their roster i don’t totally despise. maybe peverly?

    chara = חרה

  60. Captain aHab says:

Vigneault is prolly already saying to himself that he’ll have to win game 7.

  61. punkster says:

    Is Halak available?

    ***Subbang Baby!!!***

  62. Keith says:

    This just plain SUCKS!

  63. Cdnman1 says:

Two blind Irish Refs in Boston!

    Number 25 in 2011!

  64. JasonM says:

2 softies from no show Lu

  65. Toe Blake says:

    Yank him now!!!

  66. Maksimir says:

Its over.. see you in BC.

  67. Keith says:

He’s not a road goalie that’s for sure.

  68. Chuck says:

Brutal Lou showed up for the game tonight.

  69. Captain aHab says:

I think Thomas would have stopper that.

  70. JD_ says:

    I’ve seen this movie already.

    Pull him.

  71. Cdnman1 says:

    Luongo needs to be pulled!

    Number 25 in 2011!

  72. Mullie01 says:

    Timeout! Timeout!

  73. temekuhabs says:

How come Lu sucks so bad here,,, very weak

  74. Mattyleg says:

That first goal was a Rollie Melanson Special.

    —Hope Springs Eternal—

  75. Keith says:

Well is it back to Vancouver then?
