Sorry man, got to disagree. Did you see Sergei float on the Caps goal last game? He was stuck on the ice after not changing, didn’t cover the point, didn’t go into the corner, literally just stood there in the defensive zone while the caps skated around him. Embarassing. He doesn’t deserve to even play against someone like Belanger, who ripped his own tooth out on the bench and was back playing hard his next shift. I’d take a player that cares (Pyatt, Laps) over one that is skilled and doesn’t give a rat’s behind in the playoffs. It’s the playoffs! I don’t care if he goes on to be a 70 point player in this league…give me a team of guys that will go through a plate glass window in the playoffs, and I’m happy.
These should be carved on tablets and thrown at anyone who disobeys. I see Boone stumbling down frome the pressbox and chucking them at the so-called Subbanators. THOSE WHO WILL NOT LIVE BY THE LAW…..
Sadly: not gonna happen. And folks will boo, especially the overprivileged “fans” who cram into the Bell and figure the basic rules of civility don’t apply when one is stupid enough to pay a scalper 800$ to drink 10$ beer and put on blackface (HAR HAARRRRR HAR, geddit, its because PK is black, HARRRRRRR).
I fully agree. At no point in these playoffs have I been disappointed in his effort level, and Martin’s benching of him tonight and past nights continues to disturb me.
• No one shows up in blackface, wearing an Afro wig.
It’s hilarious and awful that you even have to say that!
Regardless of my feeling about coaching and certain players, whatever happens tonight I’m excited and proud that we’re here in Game 6. Let’s push the Caps to 7 and win one in the Bell!
A great post to start off a day that could be the last of the season, but may not be. Go Habs Go, whatever the result, just leave it all out there tonight!
Bold Prediction: If Hawks win against Nashville, Canucks drop them in round 2 for a Conference Final. Niemi is not the Bulin Wall, who was a key factor in the Blackhawks six-game win last year, Keith is not playing like a Norris candidate and Toews has been a bit quiet in the series, Luongo will win the goaltending duel and that will be the difference.
Those rules should be on a 20-foot banner outside of the Bell Centre, run it by PG and the Molsons Boone.
Don’t worry, the Habs won’t go down 2-0 . But i’m with you, if by some miracle, Washington manages to score TWO goals on our brick wall before we score 7, we should still support our boys
I’ve been bashing on Gill all year, and while I don’t take any of it back, he’s been consistently feeding me my words since the playoffs began. Keep it up Gill cause I’m not full yet.
Even if let’s say the Caps lead 2-0 on us, please people keep on cheering our Boys, don’t start booing them. Everything is possible at this point and they need the crowd!!! Seeing how they battled in playoffs, our Habs deserve an applaud at the end of the game no matter what.!!
Hey Ian, I went to see the Bulldogs in Game 6 last night and noticed during the warmup that P.K. lets the ankle guards on the back of his skates hang loose, do you know if he’s wearing the new kevlar hockey socks? Seeing the loose guards back there gave me nightmares of Lang and Markov.
He looked great during the game btw, powered both regulation goals, probably tried carrying the offence a bit too much but honestly, with Pyatt, Maxwell up for Montreal and Pacioretty injured, they’re missing offence so it has fallen to the guy to push the offence forward for the Bulldogs. With 3G, 6A in 6 games, if the Bulldogs win the Calder Cup, I’d pick him for the Playoff MVP if he maintains this.
Oh Bull****, Lapierre couldn’t find his balls for about 70 of the regular season games this year. If he gets resigned this off-season, it’s because of his last name and PG feeling the need to have a least 1 or 2 Francophones on the roster. I say that as a guy who owns a Lapierre t-shirt.
Yeah but that’s what we heard about Yannick Weber… big shot. Until PK or Weber actually starts putting pucks in the net like MAB, he’ll be retained as a 4-line forward/PP specialist.
“I lined up next to him at a faceoff, looked over and said “Hi Rocket”. All he did was growl.”
With 20 Too Many Men penalties called in the playoffs so far, truer words have never been spoken. As a Roughriders fan (even though I know I’m in Als territory), please quit making any reference to the importance of the extra man in a pivotal game.
It’s really just a difference of two inches and nine pounds between MAB and PK. Being the same size as Doughty doesn’t mean anything — Doughty’s not even a big guy. Love the enthusiasm for PK, but we won’t really see what he can do for two or three years, after he’s had some time to settle into the league.
Though I don’t think number one should even have to be written – come on, guys show some common sense.
“Pusie possessed a wickedly wild shot, so inaccurate that he could not hit the province of Quebec if he was standing inside the Montreal Forum.” Dick Beddoes
I have enjoyed this young mans career since he
was a walk on at 16 years old in junior. I have posted many times that
he is going to be a super star in the NHL in years to come.
Please
don’t think that he is there already and that this 20 year old kid is
going to lead us to the promised land tonight. He still has some
seasoning to go.
But when he arrives, competes and comfortable
in this league. We are going to see and enjoy some magic from this kid.
With his skates, his stick, his great wit and personality.
Super fast, plays two way’s, has an accurate and blistering shot from the point.
If he merely as good as those two I will see a missed opportunity. Nothing more.
The habs need a game breaker to come out of their prospects, its been too long. PK is our next hope for that type of player.
I agree with giving him time and not proclaiming him the next coming of Orr, but there are lots of 20 year old d-men making the jump to the NHL and contributing right away.
the PP isn’t struggling…4 for 22, for just under 20 percent efficiency. we scored a PP goal in every game of the series except the tight-checking 2-1 win on friday night.
Wow. So I guess if he ’flames out’ as a mere Daryl Sydor or Eric Desjardins type player, you’ll be severely ticked off and probably want him traded in three years. Just like all the people expecting Carey Price to be the next Patrick Roy or Ken Dryden right off the bat.
PK is making MAB obsolete. I dont see JM using him in place of MAB just yet but the writing is on the wall.
PK has a blistering point shot, can handle the puck and also play effective D. He also is much bigger than MAB and is not easily pushed around.
By xmas next year PK will be our #2 defenceman. He is the same size and age as Drew Doughty and has been an allstar at the WJC. He dominates the game at the AHL level and has shown flashes of what he will become in the NHL.
Think Brad Park or Ray Bourque and thats where PK is going.
Monsieur Boone, I really, really DO hope you don’t take a “Do as I say, not as I do” approach on this one. We, the fans of the Canadiens, can use all the mojo you or anyone else can muster. That means no “Washington’s going to tie it up now” or “They’re done, just done” type sentiments.
You have said many times this is not a cheerleading site and that’s fine. It is better that way. But for one day, for one game can you please practice what you preach in your rules and break out the skirt, tight-fitting sweater and, of course, the pom-poms and just go with the POSITIVE vibes minus negativity tonight?
Agreed. Sergei hasn’t done enough to warrent making a big deal about him not being in the lineup. He is providing no offence (0 points) and makes no physical contributions. Take a seat upstairs SK.
I agree that Markov needs a stay-at-home dman paired with him due to his offensive pinches, although I’d rather Markov focus on keeping the puck our of our net than putting it in theirs for game 6. Offense hasn’t been our problem of late…
I don’t know if you noticed but our PP hasn’t had much success against Washington with MAB on D – last game the puck got past him and out of the zone over and over again. PK could change things around. I bet PK gets first line PP duties with Markov. If MAB does play tonight he will be on the 2nd PP D pairing.
And as to SK comments on other posts, the fast the he’s benched is because he’s a defensive liability, not because he is less talented offensively. This team needs to play near perfect defense to take this game.
Washington is like a fighter thats been hit to many times their legs are getting week. They are feeling it the setroids are starting to tighen the muscles. Ok rocky time to put these steroid laiden a-%^$# down.
Laps playing like we all hoped he would at some point. Pouliot so far is showing why he was dumped by the Wild, great skill but needs a heart transplant. Cammy? What a natural born sniper. Gionta and Gomez playing like playoff veterans. Gill and Georges just heroic. Halak? What can you say about Halak.
Some want MAB benched. Some want Hamrlik benched. Get real. We haven’t got the horses to bench both, or either for that matter. Some things you just got to live with.
when Gainey signed him, I was one of many who couldn’t believe that Hal F. Gill was gonna be patrolling our defence. I HATED him with a passion. Through the first half of the season, I maintained my view point and, although he showed some value killing penalties, i was still adamant that Hal Gill was a terrible defenceman. By the end of the regular season, I had seen enough to realize that, you know….maybe if the coach just utilized him in the appropriate situations, like on the PK and playign limited minutes, I think Hal Gill could be an EFFECTIVE defenceman.
At this point in time, i think it’s safe to say….anybody who still HATE Hal Gill must be blind of just stubbornly cynical. This guy has been at WORST our second best dman the entire series. Hal F. Gill. I hated the 2 year contract when it was given out. But thank GOD we have him locked up next year.
So everyone say it with me now…..we confess! We love you Hal Gill!!!
most impressive 1 st period, keep it up, man if we take this game, can you immagine the pressure on the Caps, with Pitts already winning, wow gonna be fun
O’B nice hit, i guess hes no longer in the doghouse, 7 mins of play in th 1 st, more than Hammer..a bit more than Joshie
MAB under 2 mins of ice time, and look at the potential damage
MAB is scaring as hell god he almost twice gave up a short handed goal sit him on that bench and play P K. Come on JM don’t play MAB anymore the Caps look at him out there and they get pumped. Time to play to win P K needs that reg shift and MAB needs to sit.
Man, Buffalo’s gone into the dumper in the span of a few games. Just goes to prove that even with one of the best goalies in the world, you’re toast if the guys playing in front of him can’t put the puck in the net at the other end.

Cheer for the crest on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back.
He’s been solid. I sure wasn’t expecting him to be this useful. I like the two-year deal too. He might be a perfect partner for PK next year. Interesting that Georges Laraque said on Off the Record that Gill was the most vocal guy in the dressing room – always keeping the boys up.
These guys are playing great. Question for you all: Am I the only one who is suspicious that the Caps are DELIBERATELY sliding into their own net at times when things are heating up around their goalie? There have been several situations now where this has happened, and sliding in pushes the net off and gets them off the hook. Surely this is as much a delay of game as Hamrlik’s puck into the crowd? And it looks to me to be a darned sight more deliberate. Comments?
We have guys in the room who got everyone focused, who didn’t give up, who kept it together. We have Gomer, Gio, Gill, Moen, all of whom have been there and done it.
If Green wins the Norris then the NHL Awards are as corrupt and incompetent as the officials. Drew Doughty or Duncan Keith (great last name lol!) are far more deserving. Doughty’s got my vote, just love that kid.
I really don’t know if we can beat the Caps on their home ice. we simply are running on empty as they say, but it has been an exciting series so far.
Halak has come back to be the goalie we expected of him and disapoitments as well such as little Sergei not playing to his expectations or should I say a being a bust.
I sense the Capitals will come very strong Wednesday night as they have tonight and don’t know if Jaro can pull what he did tonight against a rowdy pro Caps crowd, yes they are a wild bunch in Washington.
Good luck to the players, the next round against the Penguins will be just as difficult if they pull it through.
If we do not sign Jaroslav Halak as our number 1 goalie, I’ll be a disappointed, no a pissed fan as others will be also.
This guy is what it’s all about wearing the CH jersey, hope Carey has learned his lesson here in Montreal that you have to work hard to be the Number 1 goalie in Montreal and it is not given to you.
“We will win the Cup one day only with ? in the nets “
Actually, Tim Peel did not ref the Carolina game. The referees that night were Dennis LaRue and Dan Marouelli. And nope…still haven’t forgiven them for that flagrant missed call!
Oh for sure, I agree completely. However I just don’t feel like they’ve been dominating us in possession or time on attack. They might be according to the stats, it just doesn’t feel that way.
Yeah, it’s the two non-coincidental ones that got me too. Both against Lapierre. Real Auger-Gate stuff there from those over-paid, self-important, wanna-be’s. Referees, god, remember who you are.
first and foremost…HALAK was amazing, attacking the puck, quick side to side, and most important, those trickling on the ice shots between several sets of legs met a brick wall with HALAK at the back, the type of lame goals that pricey would let in…but no cheap ones were going in tonight… Glad Mr.Halak is finally getting his due…

i gotta find my white Vuarnet glasses, pink and turquoise ski jacket and bright yellow walkman. it feels like 1986 again!
halak was unbelievable. biggest plays of 1st period (outside of cammy’s goals, of course) were roughing up the caps when they barged into the crease. nice to see some pushback, and i think halak’s confidence and freedom to be aggressive got a big boost.
Great game here and my home town and Boone’s birth City are on the way to the QMJHL finals. The Saint John Sea Dogs will play the Moncton Wildcats in the first ever Maritime finals since the league started.
The NHL refs lost a lot of credibility tonight. How could they give a
diving penalty to Gionta when the stick was between his leg. Is there a
way the fans can file complains to the league? The league should not
allow Refs to make such bad calls.
at this point tell the power that is to keep making the refs give us more penalties, bring it baby! 1/30 on the PP..em Caps makin it to the record books, hehehe
Money, really it comes down to that. Ideally we’d sign both young guys and have the best young tandem in hockey, but the cold reality is that Halak has played his way into a ginormous raise (not that the market for goalies is all that hot, actually), and he can go to arbitration. Price has (according to many) a higher ceiling and is coming off a so-so year (although someone told me that statistically he is better than Brodeur was at his age), and cannot go to arbitration.
we didn’t????? that was the most absurd display of officiating EVER…in HISTORY…since when in a critical playoff game do you call 3 UNSPORTSMAN DIVES????????? NNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVERR,
what were the powerplays? 9 for WASH 2 for us???? PATHETIC
It’s actually good Halak didn’t get a shutout, had he gotten one there would be no where but down to go for game 7, now he has something more to go for lol.
So I guess they need to stretch the bench for the begging of the period, rest the top pairings for a bit, though of course that’s risky business, but you don’t want your players tired at the end of the game.
When it showed him drinking after the Caps goal his hand really was shaking. I wonder if Oveckin will take that as a sign that he won’t be confident in game 7.
Precisely my allusion. Halak is his own goalie I agree and I have always been in his corner. His glove saves tonight and moxy tonight were Royian though. He’s 3rd on the all-time shots against list for a playoff game behind Roy and Theo. One of the all-time great Habs goalie performances ever we witnessed tonight.
I figured it was going to take a ton of luck to compete with the Caps, that’s what we’re seeing today. It also helps that the team is working pretty hard. You never know I guess.
I think he feels some team is going to sign him to a huge offer sheet. I don’t think that’ll happen, well unless he carries us on a deep playoff run. I think they’ll both be back. They’re RFA’s, not UFA’s. Price will be lucky to get a small raise and Halak will probably get 2.5 to 3mill, tops. We fans always overprice our own. Two years ago everybody thought AK would get 4 to 5mill, he got what 3.5 or something like that. Then again it only takes one idiot to overpay a guy, see Sather, Glen.
you hit it….MAB OUT…PK in…what the heck is MAB doing? almost cost us the game in the early going, he is a powerplay shot weapon…BUT DIDN’T HAVE A SHOT ON NET ON THE PP…..MAB OUT.
Reffing was horrific. Three diving penalties ALL YEAR in the NHL in which there was only one player called. Two on Lapierre tonight alone in a pivotal game.
As for anyone who isn’t believing in Halak at this point I give up. People have asked him to pass this test and that test and he has passed them all. He had a great run at the Olympics and got tired down the stretch and people here said he sucked and wanted Price in. If he’d had a little more gas in his tank he would have stopped the puck in game 2 and we’d be in the next round.
Oh, and after tonight’s legendary performance, his stock is up and his price won’t be cheap. All time Habs record for saves in a regulation playoff game and all-time NHL record for saves in an regulation elimination game.
I am proud too. But the Habs have played the CAPS even from the start of the season and I like our chances of winning one more game. The pressure on them is immense. The Habs have no pressure and knowledge that they can beat this team.
Boone, I’d like you to provide your after game with an in detail synopsis to explain these Refs calls. Preferably, with all your cards out, not holding anything back.
I would so love it if Halak could stuff Ovechkin one more game…Slovakia knocked off the Russians in the Olympics, forcing them to play Canada early. And Halak was absolutely other-worldly in the U18 World Championships a few years ago, helping Slovakia knock off the Ovechkin/Malkin-led Russians 2-1 in double OT in the semifinals.
I feel like a corner has been turned. Game 7 will be extremely difficult to win – as tough a task as the team has had in years. But they can do it.
If they don’t win Game 7, I still feel that we’ve turned the corner. We have a 24-year-old goaltender who literally steals games. He’s been doing it for two years. PK is here to stay and we have Gill for one more year to bring him along. Hamrlik is on the way out, but he has been a good signing – he gave us a lot in the years we have had him. O’Byrne is getting fantastic experience.
Moen is playing his best hockey and Moore is a revelation every game. Tomas Jagr is still ticking – maybe he’s for real. Cammy, Gionta, Gomer and AK46 are dangerous.
Les Gros Bill was channelling the Hockey Gods and even Bettman and his refs could not overpower the greatest hockey franchise ever…Game of the season…hopefully tomorrow nights will surpass it!!!!
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
I’m too young to witness Roy live in Canadiens jersey and I’ve been able to watch games live since 2006, so I missed Theodore at his best. This was THE best Canadiens goalie performance I’ve ever seen. Plain and simple.
Cool… Jaro plays his best game of his career and ties the season-record for saves by a Hab goalie in a game. And this is the same guy that had a combined .820 sv% in the first two games of the series!
And les’t not forget Cammalleri. Without his three points this game would be heading to overtime.

Cheer for the crest on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back.
3 all year in the NHL? Where did you find that stat? I’ve always said the refs were incompetent but calling 3 in one game against us smells funny, like an NBA ref funny.
He gives the Habs a chance to win and the way the other guys on the team rally around him would be visable to Ray Charles. When these guys come to play, they are easy to cheer for. (PK has to put that behind-the-back AHL stuff on hold Wedenesday night.) Unlike last year’s crew, these guys have become a team.
JM should be ashamed of himself and just frigging resign. If it
weren’t for Jaro Halak this year how would Jacques Martin be looking
right about now?? Habs would’ve been a lottery team.
AAAANNDDD the comments crash again. Pretty weird to see Boone’s posts without comments… like the main course without dessert or side dishes… or maybe the cold one in the fridge.
I AM SO UNBELIEVABLY HAPPY!!! IN SHOCK! LOL The MO has joined our side and all we need is a repeat from games 5+6
Cammy rocks for scoring early and wow, we beat Varly three times from that angle!! Guess we’ve figured him out. Pleks is so solid defensively as well, and the PK guys were HEROICALLY AWESOME and PK was a nice, vibrant addition, like a breath of new life.
The building rocked!! The seventh man played a HUGE role! (I say it’s due to the towels coming back lol)
Did you see three or four guys closing in around Halak, like: You ain’t putting a puck in our net!
And it is so F obvious that the NHL wants Chicago in, like fifteen penalties in the past 5 min
The diving calls were so pathetic, but the Habs didn’t let it get to them. Lapierre played an amazing game. If only he would do it more often.
Markov has been absolutely stellar all series. In a few years, I’m 100% certain that people are going to point to his lack of production (3 A and -3) in a few years time and use it to try to point out how he “chokes” in the playoffs. But no doubt in my mind, Markov has been a force out there, making smart decisions and just generally changing the game when he’s on the ice.
Gill, Gorges and Spacek have been heroic as well, but I’ll still take Markov in a heartbeat.
Those calls on LaPierre were unbelivable. The first one, sure don’t call boarding, but how do you call diving on that? The second one could have been “heading the stick”. Not to mention the dive on Gionta, who probably hasn’r taken a dive in his career.
Hey, Timo made a positive comment earlier. He was happy with the win. I’m sure the meds will wear off tomorrow and we’ll get the old Timo back. I miss the old Timo ;(
The only sad thing about game 7 is no Charissa Thompson, Bob Harwood will be back. I think she distracted Ape man in the pre game interview, he was blushing like a grade school kid while talking to her. I dont think she wants his small Ba1ls
Jaro was like, shy, so humble, a little skate around, nothin much. Cammy punched his fist over and over and I loved that TSN stayed with it. Maybe cuz Molson is a sponsor? Lapierre… few are as happy as him when they score. Gotta love that wide grin.
F-ing unbelievable. This team has more heart than I’ve seen in years. Halak is our savior. Where are the experts who said Caps in 4 or 5. As for three diving penalties in one game??? The fix was definitely in tonight. Sorry Bettman. Your paid refs couldn’t pull it off.
That behind the back stuff is part and parcel of P.K. Subban…it’ll drive you absolutely nuts, but it also forms a significant part of his charm. I’m sure Martin and Muller are going to be talking to him a lot about that between now and Wednesday night!
I think that Gionta for captain after the playoffs he has had is also a no-brainer. Markov is the undisputed on-ice leader of the team, but I suspect even he would be happy to have Gionta as the captain.
this is for you, TSN goons, pj stock(what the hell do u know about hockey), some rds freaks.. and the so called experts.. take your bloody analysis and shove it up there!
this is for you, TSN goons, pj stock(what the hell do u know about hockey), some rds freaks.. and the so called experts.. take your bloody analysis and shove it up there!
Wow!! Halak fabulous….Referees and linesmen(so crooked). But what do you expect…Ovy and the Caps are the league darlings. But with reffing like that, the NHL will soon be just another version of WWF…
No way, Laps dove the second time. He was hooked and hit in the visor with the stick. And Gionta…are you kidding me!! It was a classic “can-opener”. You try skating with a stick being twisted between your legs!! And how about Fehr’s crosscheck on Halak’s back. Double minor if we did it.
And what is icing? And what is the rule regarding face-offs? The linesman can quietly tilt the playing field without alot of people noticing. This is the secret weapon of the NHL front-office. I for one would change the whole face-off set-up. Put the puck on the dot and make the players skate in from the back of the circle on the whistle….Puts an end to throwing the key face-off man out, all the time.
But, really folks…look up the final league stats (Hockey News). The top teams in Power-plays are all teams that either didn’t make the playoffs or are franchises in trouble.
Here’s what David Stern (NBA), told his coaches and players, when they criticized the officials..” They have to keep quite. We have a nice business going here, and they make a good living off it.” Words that could easily be mouthed by Betteman.
Well, the first may not have been a dive, per se, but it was without a doubt a finely embellished piece of acting not seen since the passing of John Barrymore Sr.
Jaro with one of the best games I’ve seen a goaltender have and most importantly in elimination games he’s 2-0. Great game, the crowd was so freaking loud. I think my neighbors are wondering who the heck are Jaro, Cammy and Lappy. I was chanting there names all night. I couldn’t be prouder of our beloved Habs than I am tonight. GO HABS GO!!!!!!
But called by the guy outside the zone, not the ref right there. VS guys thought it was a questionable call and couldn’t believe the Gionta all. Like Gionta would EVER dive.
If I were confident Halak would be here next year, I would be on the phone to the Habs Zone tomorrow getting my Halak Jersey. Hell I might do it anyway, Trade in my Fake Price Jersey
What
a coach, letting Washington stay in our end all night firing pucks to
keep Halak warm and supple. While the Capital’s goal tender stiffened
up from no work and cold. It was like pick-en cherries!
We will get rid of these guys on Wednesday night and get ready for a long series with Crosby and the Pens.
Love it when a plan comes together.
Now
everyone knows,!! that this team is much better than most people
thought. Entertainment and thrills are back in town boys and girls.
Still scared that Martin shortens his bench to much.
k heres’t he deal…….calgary hab fans. I ahve argued and disagreed with many of you over hte years. Yes Timo, i’m mostly talking to you. But i say we let bygones be bygones and all get together on Wednesday for game 7!! If anyone in Calgary is interested in being surrounded by as many hab fans as possibly on wednesday, get back to me ASAP and we weill organize somethign! email me at rob_eats_rice@hotmail.com if you’re intersted and we’ll find a good place that will host out little get together
Well this is very interesting indeed.Would love to read a little more of this. Great post. Thanks for the heads-up…This blog was very informative and knowledgeable
For me, a guy who didn’t see much of Roy, this display by Halak is something I haven’t witnessed since the days of Bower and Worsley. Maybe even Plante (little guy, crazy moves). Similar wacked out acobatic style. You think he’s out of position but he manages to snag the puck. You think he’s off balance but he blocks the shot. Unreal guys. Wow.
Its going to be bruttle in Washington the refs tried to throw this game but a guy name Halak said not on my shift The Caps were getting away with murder in out end hooking, interference no way that goal should have counted I counted two penalties they got away with.
He covers for his partners (at the expense of not jumping in low on the PP as much recently), clears their zone with ease, slows the pace down when things get too hot, makes clean and smart passes and is sound defensively (which is good for a defenceman
PK wasn’t that good (read earlier post) but he did play well. MAB came real close on the PP just missing the far side with one of his wicked blasts and I don’t remember him playing badly(if limited ice time) on defense. Why does everyone suddenly hate MAB? our leading d-man goal scorer. He may not be prettty out there but without his shot (and 16 goals) we would be watching the Rangers tonight.
The Cigars good and i have moved to Grand Marnier (also can’t spell worth s#&T)
I’m hoping you’re right, but have to say I still don’t expect Habs to keep Halak. I’m not sure he’s affordable or will stay at this point. We’ll see. I still think 75% chance it’ll be Carey. Halak’s been great whenever we’ve wanted him but still get the sense that most Habs fans strongly prefer Price. I don’t, although I can see he may be great one day and has nice size. . . Doesn’t worry me to trade him but don’t see it happening.
Rask is making Leafs fans really hurt, and next year adding their top pick. It’s a good time to be a fan of that frigging team.
The team has played much better overall in Washington than in Montreal, so I’m confident they will get another win in Washington. How about that penalty kill!? Oh yeah, the other PK wasn’t too shabby either tonight
I would imagine MAB. Dressing a guy in the playoffs to play ONLY on the PP is ridiculous. Besides Markov and Subban make for a much more effective PP duo.
Hard to generate offense when you’re playing 6 on 10. The Capitals were called for obvious penalties, but the Habs were called for very questionable penalties.
No doubt the team needs to play better, but Martin could use some better bench/line-up management. If the team is going to kill penalties all night, SK74 should be in the line-up so Gionta, Gomez and Plekanec don’t have to take as many shorthanded shifts. Bergeron hasn’t generated anything on the PP and is -8 so he wouldn’t be missed in game 7.
Jaro has to read that slap pass better……Fehr was cruising through untouched and Jaro has to be beter on that play…he stayed deep and showed some less than splendid pucktracking skills on that one at a crucial time in the game. Some people will think I am being sarcastic or joking…..guess some people are smarter than others lol……
Was at the game, wow was it loud! Great win, but I hope the Habs organization doesn’t rest on this victory because the war is not over. Big beef with the officials yet again. Everyone knows those diving calls were completely bogus, especially the one on Gionta and the hook around Lapierre’s neck. Boudreau has the nerve to come out and say Lapierre deserved it based on his reputation, but if there’s any coach in the league who cries too much about nothing, it’s Boudreau. He’s the biggest whiner in the NHL, so maybe he should get an unsporstmanlike penalty too then. The Caps ran Halak out of the crease at least 8-10 times without a call, and even Halak and Martin lost it on the refs tonight. The officiating, despite the win, was downright unacceptable and every single person in the building knew it. The NHl has got a great game and a 100% corrupted front office that will do whatever it can to make money, even if it means cheating. I don’t see any way the league can justify those diving calls and non-calls on the Caps or living in the crease. We keep calling for Chris Lee to be fired or Denis Larue to be fired or now Tim Peel to be fired, but come on, to have so many incompetent or biased officials, the only wya the problem is going to be fixed is to get the guy at the top. The Molsons are back and they need to do all they can to get Bettman out or the Habs (or any other Canadian team) will never win a cup again.
Jaro’s effort was heroic. The whole team rocked tonight. Incredible game. Not even the refs could fix this one. Take this momentum into Washington and the Habs will blow them away!!!
Not sure where you’re getting that impression. Jaro receives thunderous applause every time his name is mentioned, while Carey gets a mix of cheers and groans (and even boos). Mtl is clearly a Halak town now. Other than a few Price zealots here, I don’t think there’d be much of an outcry from Mtlers if CP is dealt away.
Look at the bright side; PK Subban won’t have his confidence crushed by making multiple mistakes in this game. As soon as he makes one, Martin will bench him for the rest of his life.
Agree with you. Sitting on the pine seems to have gotten to OB and he has elevated his game, not like so many players in our recent past who got benched sulked, whined and never got the message from the coach. OB did not leave his man alone in front of our net since his time on the pine.Good for him. he made mistakes in 2 games , sat, learned and has come back a better player. To all the JM haters out there his “system” seems to have worked for OB. Screw up major and you sit.
Thanks Ian. Here I am pulling my hair out by the roots and all along it was all part of a brilliant plan by JM. That is why we novices bow down to your immense hockey knowledge. LOL
I’ve said it before, the linesmen are just as bad as the refs. Not only do they toss people out (usually us) on over half the drawsm they have also missed a number of offsides and made questionable calls on what an icing is or where a faceoff should be. the officiating as a whole has gone way down in the past couple of years.
Good God man, this is one of the most calm and rational rants/posts I have ever read from you. And entirely on target. And did I say calm? Go to bed this instant. Immediately! No, don’t go near the fridge. Straight to bed.
Halak is an RFA so he can’t just leave. If I was GM for a day (before July 1, of course) I would sign Halak and let someone else make an offer to Price and take the picks that result, hopefully whichever team tries to sign Price or Halak if Gautier doesn’t sign him, tanks as bad as the Leafs resulting in high picks.
Could not disagree more dude. Jaro is the fan fav and Price is the choice of management and the hockey gurus for logical reasons. But potential does not win games. Hard choice either way and I would not want to make the choice.
I’ve seen Dryden, Roy, and countless others throughout the NHL the past 35 years, and I don’t recall a stronger goaltender performance than Halak’s tonight. Thank you Jaro for treating us to your brilliance tonight. It was a pleasure to watch.
I can’t stop clapping!!! Excuse me but, JARO deserves a mention of honor from the City of Montreal, he needs to sign the book or smtg like other MTL athletes did…(although he’s not from MTL, lol! )
I couldn’t take watching this game on my computer so I went to see the 3rd period in my local watering hole with a crowd of local Quebecois and a pint of Rickard’s Red. Flippin’ unbelievable. I couldn’t believe the diving calls. Bettman’s gonna soil his pants if the Habs and Deroit win their respective game 7′s. What’s a matter Betsy, you can’t sell a Red Wings-Canadiens final? You aint no salesman then!!!!!
Going out to the deck to have a Montecristo #4 (and another Rum) saving a Esplendido for after wed. night. One more game and I converet to a Hakak believer. PJ played well (obviously plays up to his competition) however his behind the back through his legs pass in our end must have given JM a mild cornary and i don’t believe he saw any(or very limited) ice after that play. The whole team played great but Halak was Brilliant. BTW wasn’t it BG who took Cammy after AK27 refused the initial offer. Thank you AK for going to Ottawa and thank you Cammy for coming here. A lot younger and a better all around player. Laps you scare me. I don’t know what to think. Great goal, good forechecking and actually hitting people, but 2 stupid diving penalties. Is your helmet on to tight?
Don’t want to end on a sour note so GO HABS GO and stick it to CBC, MM, PJS and Don Cherry (whose rants i do like but his hate to the Habs drives me nuts as well as his suits) and to end , thank you CBC for not picking up the Habs 1st round games so we could have some non Lafs broadcasters and please don’t pick up the 2nd. round also. TSN or Versus is some much better. Also Listing to HNIC Radio tomorrow afternoon is going to be sooooooo muuuuuch fuuuuuuuun.
“Ladies tonight the spirit and the flesh are willing”
I’ll go along with that. Nice to see Bower make it into two comments here tonight
Unreal display Brian. Totally focused, in the zone, dialed in, whatever phrase you like. I hope he goes straight home, sips a beer and falls asleep in front of the 11 o’clock news.
I wrote at 4:30 pm that the Forum ghosts were taking the metro to the Bell Centre… and now they’re fixing a traditional playoff mtachup against Boston somewhere down this line.
My preference is to sit SK. His work ethic is lacking. He would only get 3 or 4 minutes playing time and would not pull his weight for that brief time whereas Darche and MAB come to work.
anyone who thinks there is any goalie controversy they got ended tonight sign jaro longterm, even though Mr. Freidman thinks he won’t sign here. He is an rfa so we can match if anyone tries to pry him from us.
Stubbs basically asked Bruce what he thought of the diving penalties, and Bruce said he wasn’t surprised because ‘they’ve been diving all series” and he’s happy the refs finalls noticed
Halak reminds me of Patrick Roy in the ’86 playoffs in the OT vs. the Rangers… this is just as fun as I imagined it’d be when I wrote a week or so ago that I hoped we faced Washington.
I’ve had enough of you and your JM hating. The guy is a good coach, and its about time you and the rest of the crazies on this site who have a hate-on for him give him some credit.
This “system” everyone seems to rip on him for, is working.
What did you expect? He’s a former Toronto Maple Leaf next-great-one-that-never-came-up and his job may be on the line if the Caps choke this season again.
hehe I pray the Caps choke on Wednesday .. hopefully they feel fear and they aren’t confident…
I just want to be prepared… cause.. once the Habs beat the Caps.. defy all logic in the series .. they will be capable of anything. Great team with enormous fight in them.
This year. I am proud – no matter what happens on Wed They are winners
Anybody else catch that Mckenzie stat? Something like 35 diving calls made all regular season and only 3 of them being called without a coinciding tripping penalty. We got 2 in one game. Coincidence?
Can you really send Subban down after that? He gives the Habs another dimension with his puck-moving skills … he’s just as good on the rush as Markov, and considerably faster. MAB was a non-factor, which was an improvement over his negative factor recent starts, so if Spacek is ready, sit MAB down and give PK the keys to the PP. Sorry Hamilton, but I think I just found my new favourite Hab.
Tim Peel did 2 games in this series. What are the odds? He also did the game against Carolina where Saku almost had his eye carved out (no call) which turned the series around… and he’s done lots in between. I bet we’re winning maybe 1/4 of the games he does.
I just wanted to say Hats off to our Coaches and Players for what ever adjusments were made regarding Face Offs. Our ability to win some big draws in game 5 and tonight are a huge reason we are going to a game 7. I dont know who is directly responsible but, NICE EFIN JOB
NO CHANCE! PK is one of those rare individuals with supreme self confidence and b a l l s of STEEL Nothing will faze this guy….if only Carey had half his mental toughness.
Man, AK46 just keeps on breaking my heart. Why the hell can’t he get his shot on net? We are going to need three goals to win this game so he must come through for us.
What an absolutely tremendous performance by Halak tonight. Not only did he make all those saves, many of them of the spectacular variety, but he also exuded supreme confidence. I have never before seen Jaro don that “You better do something superhuman if you want to score on me!” aura…but it sure did look good on him!
Unless the Habs go out before the Bulldogs, I think he’s played his last game for the Dogs. He’s ready and I’m ready. Let the new era begin. I also like O’B. He’s gonna be a solid D-man for years to come.
I agree another referee who hates the habs. What else is new ?……….. I am so sick of the STUPID penalties delivered by the the black & white stripes……………………….GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!
No one needs to, the whole country saw that crap. Those zebras look like complete fools. Everyone saw what they were trying to pull off. Must be money in it for them somewhere.
Comon, without Hammer playing monster minutes for most of the year we wouldn’t be here, don’t forget that He’s no spring chicken, that much time takes it’s toll
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
That was unfortunate. How awesome would this have been as a 50-plus-save shutout in the playoffs? It was inevitable, though, with a tired team on the PK after an icing.
Regardless of how this year’s playoffs pans out, I like the core of our team and the youth that we have going forward. We finally have the type of players we need, to match the system that our coach wants to implement. And Subban is soo solid.
One thing I’m wondering though, why is Elliotte Friedman so sure that Halak will leave Mtl? Any ideas Boone?
I would agree that his attitude needed an adjustment earlier in the year, but since he has gotten back to the big club, he has improved. Playing 3-4 minutes is Martin’s decision, and pehaps a wrong one. He isn’t a defensive liability, like Bergeron. He can kill penalties which Bergeron and Darche don’t. He also has better hockey sense than Bergeon and is more skilled than Darche
He has definately made mistakes and not endeared himself to Martin, but I don’t think he is a floater. He flourished undar Dale Hunter in London, and a floater couldn’t do that.
it’ll look great for Gary to get a team to the finals with a bit of ethnic diversity! the call-up was more a marketing gimmick more than a hockey move! kudos to the Molson brothers recognize where to make a quick buck!
Explain to me what Sergei needs to do to get some love. Cos right now, he isn’t feelin’ it.
I’m not in the room. I am not on the bench. I am not the coach. I don’t know JM, but given his experience, I can’t imagine him consigning a kid to the doghouse unless there is a compelling reason to do so. So what gives? Someone help me understand the Trouble With Sergei, because frankly I don’t see it on the ice.
Habs should install bayonettes on the ends of the kids’ flagpoles for tonight. That way they can shish-kebob the big ape if he tries anything funny tonight.
Why was O’Byrne in the doghouse? SK has to make an impression with six minutes of ice time a game. SK has to perform knowing ONE defensive mistake will mean the bench and pressbox. Try playing under those circumstances and succeeding.
Many experts are jumping on SK for one series which lead to a goal. It seemed SK was frozen and lost. HE WAS! He played a total of 1:12 in the first period and now he is at the end of a LONG shift and facing Ovi. Does he stay at the point or rush down to cover the forward? He has no idea because JM has stripped him of all his confidence and everything that comes naturally to a gifted player by years of playing is destroyed by doubt.
I believe SK is a legitimate top six forward who can score 30 goals and put up 40 to 50 assists.
Actually, I bet the kid was pretty stoked….hell of a story to tell. I’ve always wondered how those kids get choosen, is it some sort of lottery? And if so, is there an age limit…?
Doesn’t exactly scream “hockey food”, does it? But when the lady who is 6mo pregnant with one’s baby says, FEED ME TORTELLINI, one is inclined to listen, game six or no game six.
PK PK PK PK PK PK hey someone is listening up stairs but don’t stop there go after Bettman and that clown Campbell and tell them to get on those refs for not calling the interference. The house will be rocking tonight go Habs go .
12. Prediction: No matter what happens with the Canadiens tonight – or afterward, should they beat Washington – Jaroslav Halak will not re-sign there unless Montreal makes an obscene offer.
25. Biggest reason for the Devils’ drop? Look at the players they’ve lost for nothing in the past decade: Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermayer, Ken Daneyko, Scott Gomez, Brian Gionta, Alexander Mogilny, Bobby Holik (the first time). It’s hard to replenish that talent. ( same can be said of the Habs under Gainey ).
14. Wherever Carey Price is next year, I hope the organization has the sense to pair him with a veteran who will teach him the right way to prepare and act. Not doing so is Montreal’s greatest mistake of the past five years.
Halak is an RFA correct? It doesn’t matter how small the Habs offer is as long as it is qualifying. If someone offers an obscene contract, we take the picks, if not we bump our offer enough to avoid arbitration but certainly not obscene.
I don’t think prediction 12 has any merit… If they offer him a decent contract he’ll sign. It doesn’t have be an obscene contract. For one, Halak’s game has been way up and down. Secondly, he’s an RFA. Third, it’s a huge risk for any team to offer him an obscene contract and I don’t think any other team would, so why would montreal need to?

i think the flag kid should just stay where he usually goes, lower the pole a little bit, aim to his right, and see what happens. an ovie-kabob would be an interesting start to game six.
like it, but since it’s montreal, wouldn’t it be the Rock Machine? or are they still around? Actually, i don’t want to know. How bout Georges St Pierre
As if Stevens/Niedermayer/Gionta/Gomez/Mogilny/Holik were in the same league as our players that went the UFA route. We didn’t lose nearly as much talent as they have lost, and have replaced it well. Thet haven’t, and that’s the whole point. Whether you trade a good player at the deadline or replace him with a good player on July 1st, you are doing well, as long as your team is competitive every season and dosn’t get worse.
RE: Coaching vacancies – surprised not to see Don Lever in the list. He won the AHL Championship with the bulldogs in 2007 and led his team (Chicago Wolves) to the top of his division this year. He’s still in the playoffs. What gives?
Just as John Carlson has been outplaying Mike Green, and logging critical end-of-game minutes, here’s to hoping PK can have a similar impact. It’s not so far-fetched – except maybe the end-of game minutes part as the Habs will be ahead at crunch time and not in need of instant-offence.
If that’s the case, Jacques Martin will have the opportunity to confirm or dis-confirm that adage – once you go black, you never go back
[This post rightfully assumes there'll be a seventh game to test the theory. GO F. HABS F. GO!!!]
Sorry Boone, I won’t be cheering for a team going out in the first round. Not when there’s not a whole lot the team can do in the off-season to do better. I may be unrealistic but I will settle with no less than seeing some Ovechkin tears.
Oh ok. I’m trying to find a feed for my Dad to be able to watch. I’ll end up pulling out my hair if I have to work on getting him to download anything, lol.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
The one thing this team always does is let the other team get back into the game by handing them a goal. Lets not do that tonight boys. Keep up the pressure.
Ovy and the Caps should be ashamed that this is even an issue: “Stubbs tells me
the Canadiens will have both flag-bearers on the Canadiens side until
Ovechkin does his cross-ice sprint and sits his annoying *** down on the
Washington bench.”
In other words, the organization has to protect a kid from the routine of a grown man and his inability to accord respect to a kid.
Many people have come out defending Ovy as a fun loving guy who plays hard and that this routine is part of that MO. I don’t buy it. His attitude and goals don’t somehow sanitize his disrespectfulness for this kid. Moreover, if it was Lapierre, or Carcillo, or Neil doing that, you know everyone would be quick to condemn the very same action.
I’ve also heard people say, oh the kid must have been so popular at school. How do you know that? It’s pure speculation. In any ways, his reaction does not alter the underlying nature of Ovy’s conduct. If Sidney Crosby came into a store and stole a pack of gum, do you think the fact that the storeowner has a story to tell somehow changes whether what Sidney did was right or wrong? Absolutely not.
It is what it is — Ovy is a douche. Talented yes, exciting yes, but a complete douche.
I think the Caps, having lost two at home, are probably REALLY not wanting to lose tonight.
I’ve been a gloomy gus about this series since the beginning, and today is no different. But if the Habs win tonight, the Caps will have to be thinking about how an 8th seeded team has given them horrible fits in their own end, and forced them to change goalies. They will be thinking about the guys they are missing and the guys who are missing in action. They might be wondering what it takes to beat Halak when he is on his game.
If I am the Caps, I REALLY REALLY want to end it here, tonight.
I love the addition of PK! This will give JM another man to use in place of Hamrlik later on in the game. I love Hammer, but you can really see the toll al those minutes at the start of the year have taken on him. GO HABS GO!!
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
Look at the head and eye movement from our guys. Too often in the long season, the NHL is talent against lethargy. No one’s sleeping tonight (except maybe Sergei upstairs). This game’s talent against talent.
For what it’s worth the ESPN feed online is not that bad.
wtf penalty on laps. weak.
I gotta say… Gill and Cammy – Gionta and Gomez too.. lots of the signings this summer.. have been Solid during the playoffs. I couldn’t ask for more. It’s been a long rough year to watch but no matter what happens… I am really proud of the Habs
Alsoon second shift PP instead of Hamrlik.
Maybe if Smyth didn’t shoot the puck like he was just learning how to do “lifters” the Kings would still be alive.
Love the positive outlook, Boone!
Even if the Caps win tonight, the future looks bright.
lol
Markov has been pinching a lot and PK also has an offensive tendency — if no MAB I’d go
Markov-O’B,
Hamrlik-Subban,
Jorges-Gill.
I hope that everyone going to the game tonight reads this, I would love to hear it on my TV.
Agree, except Laps — he’s been very effective for the ToI he’s been getting — great forechecking and drew a few penaltys.
MAB too wasn’t too shabby in Game 5 with limited ice time… but where’s the Howitzer!?!?
Gotta save some for game 7!
Pk plays with Hammer…8-9 minutes + PP if things go as planned.
Upgrade over MAB defensively and offensively!
“If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” (anon)
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. http://habsandhockey.blogspot.com/
Pyatt and Lapierre stay. Suban is coming so MAB can sit. Hammer is toast.
No matter what….CHEER CHEER CHEER!!!
….Hab4life….
Don’t worry, the Habs won’t go down 2-0
Like Plec’s last year right?
Agree 100% although I like MAB on the wing far more.
Even if let’s say the Caps lead 2-0 on us, please people keep on cheering our Boys, don’t start booing them. Everything is possible at this point and they need the crowd!!! Seeing how they battled in playoffs, our Habs deserve an applaud at the end of the game no matter what.!!
– YES HABS CAN!! –
Bergeron is needed for his shot on the PP.
Pyatt has been a warrior!
As much as Hammer sucked last game, we need him at his best.
Lapierre has played rather well these playoffs, in my opinion.
“I lined up next to him at a faceoff, looked over and said “Hi Rocket”. All he did was growl.”
-Gordie Howe
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. http://habsandhockey.blogspot.com/
This is just my opinion, but Bergeron, Pyatt, Hamrlik or LaPierre should sit before S. Kostitsyn.
Yes, please. That should be Rule #1.
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. http://habsandhockey.blogspot.com/
-Gordie Howe
I am drooling at the prospect of Subban and Markov paired together.
Rock the Bell. The seventh man matters.
With 20 Too Many Men penalties called in the playoffs so far, truer words have never been spoken. As a Roughriders fan (even though I know I’m in Als territory), please quit making any reference to the importance of the extra man in a pivotal game.
While I’m ecstatic Subban might play to night, I hope it isn’t in favor of Sergei Kostitsyn. But you know that’s gonna happen.
It’s really just a difference of two inches and nine pounds between MAB and PK. Being the same size as Doughty doesn’t mean anything — Doughty’s not even a big guy. Love the enthusiasm for PK, but we won’t really see what he can do for two or three years, after he’s had some time to settle into the league.
hahahahah gold.
Good Rules, Boone.
Though I don’t think number one should even have to be written – come on, guys show some common sense.
“Pusie possessed a wickedly wild shot, so inaccurate that he could not hit the province of Quebec if he was standing inside the Montreal Forum.” Dick Beddoes
Totally agree. You hear that Boone? Pom poms.
“love cannot drown truth, Nefertiti”
That’s why MAB’s contract is ending this year….!
“love cannot drown truth, Nefertiti”
We are a better squad than you give us credit for my friend and our coach is starting to coach!
The way Fleury is playing, Pittsburgh wouldn’t sweep Edmonton.
Super fast, plays two way’s, has an accurate and blistering shot from the point.
and no booing the national anthem (either one). Show some class!
“Without the strength of the past, the team may face a choice – to win, or to be French-Canadian?” — Ken Dryden
ha!
Habs win tonight, win Game 7 in Washington Wednesday, get swept in 4 by Pittsburgh.
rules for jacques martin: play subban, sit bergeron
MAB is making MAB obsolete.
They start the night by naming a captain… Paul Mara!
Laps, Pyatt, amd Hamrlik have given the Habs all they could give this season. SK won’t and Bergeron can’t.
the PP isn’t struggling…4 for 22, for just under 20 percent efficiency. we scored a PP goal in every game of the series except the tight-checking 2-1 win on friday night.
i’m more concerned about our 5 on 5.
- Habs Romance (Lady Gaga remix) http://montreal.virginradio.ca/blogs/39/posts/464
naysayers of the world, unite!
AAHH!! I just wanna go ride my car with my two Habs flags around the city, I’m so effin excited for tonight!!
No, I gotta stay in and study for my final.
– YES HABS CAN!! –
Wow. So I guess if he ’flames out’ as a mere Daryl Sydor or Eric Desjardins type player, you’ll be severely ticked off and probably want him traded in three years. Just like all the people expecting Carey Price to be the next Patrick Roy or Ken Dryden right off the bat.
GO OUT THERE AND TAKE IT!!!!!
follow me on twitter — http://twitter.com/spoons91
Habs should dress Chris Nilan as the flag player and wait in the weeds for Ovie to spray him!!
Love the move, can’t wait to see PK skate for us.
The PP is struggling and can’t get any worse (esp giving up 2 shorties).
PK is also a right shot, and will keep the Caps guessing.
WOO!!! And furthermore, HOO!!!!
“Stay positive for 60 minutes.”

GO HABS GO!
I agree. Subban replaces MAB on defense.
Who would I pick for offensive duty between Sergei and MAB? That’s kind of a no-brainer. Which describes Jacques Martin’s approach to playoff hockey.
HABS IN SEVEN!
HABS IN SEVEN!
HABS IN SEVEN!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
They have a big guy who picks on little kids…
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Washington is like a fighter thats been hit to many times their legs are getting week. They are feeling it the setroids are starting to tighen the muscles. Ok rocky time to put these steroid laiden a-%^$# down.
Not I. But me being a doubter is apparently all it takes to make this team win.
So: BAH. HUMBUG.
We have them rattled…foot on their throats, and now we need to finish them. Damn living in Shanghai, and I work in 5 minutes…

PK? Does this dude have ice in his veins or what?
GO HABS GO!
If you have jinxed us, dumbass, you are SO dead to me
Oh – and to the Calgary Flames organization…THANK YOU for not signing Cammy!

Some want MAB benched. Some want Hamrlik benched. Get real. We haven’t got the horses to bench both, or either for that matter. Some things you just got to live with.
Third time in the series Cammalleri opened the scoring Boone!
when Gainey signed him, I was one of many who couldn’t believe that Hal F.
Time to use a sick day, Clay.
I rentin’ a bus for the trip to Ottawa to teach Dan a lesson in group dynamics.
most impressive 1 st period, keep it up, man if we take this game, can you immagine the pressure on the Caps, with Pitts already winning, wow gonna be fun
O’B nice hit, i guess hes no longer in the doghouse, 7 mins of play in th 1 st, more than Hammer..a bit more than Joshie
MAB under 2 mins of ice time, and look at the potential damage
He’s been phenomenal in this series, better than I ever would have expected.
We killed a 5 on 3 with over a minute against the league’s deadliest power-play and we’ve been making it look like the worst all series long.
They may not have been my favorite bunch during the season, but I am in love with our Habs right now.
don’t be silly, without Iginla feeding him he sucks!!! ROFL
MAB is scaring as hell god he almost twice gave up a short handed goal sit him on that bench and play P K. Come on JM don’t play MAB anymore the Caps look at him out there and they get pumped. Time to play to win P K needs that reg shift and MAB needs to sit.
Great period from Halak, Cammy and Laps. Oh and of course the dynamic duo Gill and Georges, great pk play as usual.
Thank you Bob Gainey for this team they show so much heart thank you again .
SHUTOUT!!!!
Cammalleri is turning into a left-handed Brett Hull. Especially during the playoffs, so far!
GREAT PERIOD HABS, Caps don’t have a clue what’s going on! Please keep it up Canadiens!
Since no one else will chant his name I will.

its actually the 3rd time he’s openned scoring in the series
Game 1….Game 5….and This game

Agreed, gotta have your priorities straight Clay.
You’re on HIO, the percentage of “stubbornly cynical” people is >90%. Myself included, but not about Hal.
Man, Buffalo’s gone into the dumper in the span of a few games. Just goes to prove that even with one of the best goalies in the world, you’re toast if the guys playing in front of him can’t put the puck in the net at the other end.

He’s been solid. I sure wasn’t expecting him to be this useful. I like the two-year deal too. He might be a perfect partner for PK next year. Interesting that Georges Laraque said on Off the Record that Gill was the most vocal guy in the dressing room – always keeping the boys up.
If this team has a comfortable lead late in th third they should play the rocky song during a break. I love to hear the bells that bam the song .
Wow, do I look like a fool for saying that Bob Gainey needed to step down.
And I look like a even bigger fool for saying that this is not a playoff team.

Comments?
I put on my signed Cammalleri jersey and WHAM! he scores twice!

That would be a great jersey to have too! I was extremely lucky to get to meet Mike back in January.

……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
Pinch me!!!
Who expected this? I mean come on, I was hopeful, but that was a fantastic period!
Difference between us and Washington –
We have guys in the room who got everyone focused, who didn’t give up, who kept it together. We have Gomer, Gio, Gill, Moen, all of whom have been there and done it.
And now we have PK!
If Green wins the Norris then the NHL Awards are as corrupt and incompetent as the officials. Drew Doughty or Duncan Keith (great last name lol!) are far more deserving. Doughty’s got my vote, just love that kid.
Completely agreed.
My Question???? DO WE HAVE A CHOICE??????? Refs doing a good job as usual Washinton is doing anything they want .NO PENALTY…………….GO HABS GO !!!!!!!!!
He needs to work on his wink.
20 Too many men penalties in the first round now. By the time the final rolls around, it’ll be a hundred.
Habs are exhausted. Scotty Gomez is a warrior.
1:30 left.

Most shots faced by a goaltender, in a playoff game: Roberto Luongo, 76 (11 April 2007)
exactly. Either way, these Refs have some explainin’ to do.
Need a better period, gave the Caps too many chances that time, maybe Halak can do that again but my heart can’t.
THERE WILL BE A GAME 7!

T=his game has been all Halak so far. Will he carry us to Lord Stanley’s Cup?
Sweet!!!!
first and foremost…HALAK was amazing, attacking the puck, quick side to side, and most important, those trickling on the ice shots between several sets of legs met a brick wall with HALAK at the back, the type of lame goals that pricey would let in…but no cheap ones were going in tonight… Glad Mr.Halak is finally getting his due…

i gotta find my white Vuarnet glasses, pink and turquoise ski jacket and bright yellow walkman. it feels like 1986 again!
halak was unbelievable. biggest plays of 1st period (outside of cammy’s goals, of course) were roughing up the caps when they barged into the crease. nice to see some pushback, and i think halak’s confidence and freedom to be aggressive got a big boost.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
1st Star: Jaro
2nd Star: Jaro
3rd Star: JAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
lol…I can see it now…Habs lose Game 7 3-1(empty net goal) and Chris Lee calls 5 diving penalties against the Habs.
Great game here and my home town and Boone’s birth City are on the way to the QMJHL finals. The Saint John Sea Dogs will play the Moncton Wildcats in the first ever Maritime finals since the league started.
Nah…the wink was all Patrick Roy.
I quite like Jaro exactly the way he is!
Watching both here.
Woohooo!!!!! Power to the turtleneck!!!!!
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
Have to score early and often Wednesday night. Take the crowd out of the game and the refs will have a tougher time throwing it.
That diving penalty on Laps was a complete joke. Who calls diving during the playoffs, first of all…
Secondly, he did get hit hard into the boards.
YES!!!!!!!!!! JAGR!!
We got three diving penalties tonight. 3 tonight, 2 to Yapierre and 1 to Gionta. Some ref made a few bucks tonight for sure.
Hence the Subban call up
He make’s up for Hammer’s current weaknesses
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
TOMAS JAGR DOES IT AGAIN!
Win or lose, this has been awe-inspiring. This team does NOT lie down.
The NHL refs lost a lot of credibility tonight. How could they give a
diving penalty to Gionta when the stick was between his leg. Is there a
way the fans can file complains to the league? The league should not
allow Refs to make such bad calls.
I hear ya! My wife should get trained for using the defibrillator.
GAME 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wednesday night!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
I wish I could have seen the 3 stars…they cut away on Versus. Did Halak soak it in a little? I hope so. The city must be crazy! Fantastic win!
I am proud, very proud of Foster, Ortmeyer and Theodore. God bless you folks.

Have you ever seen a 4-1 game where the winning was outshot so badly? Wow.
Jaro has that internal wink working. That and the shakey water-bottle squeeze.
All right.. A deep breath before the third starts.. This one isn’t outta reach, gonna be a battle..
B.Burke is building the Bruins through the draft.
HIGH FIVES ALL AROUND HIO
Money, really it comes down to that. Ideally we’d sign both young guys and have the best young tandem in hockey, but the cold reality is that Halak has played his way into a ginormous raise (not that the market for goalies is all that hot, actually), and he can go to arbitration. Price has (according to many) a higher ceiling and is coming off a so-so year (although someone told me that statistically he is better than Brodeur was at his age), and cannot go to arbitration.
It’s about the money, honey. Always is.
GAME 7 BABY!!!!!!!!!
Chris Lee. It’s coming. You all know it. I’m watching the Chicago-Nashville game right now, and Lee is putting his grubby paws all over it.

It’s actually good Halak didn’t get a shutout, had he gotten one there would be no where but down to go for game 7, now he has something more to go for lol.
Not even a tiny bit…short little spin and off the ice. Jaro was in the zone.
Cammalleri did soak it in, though.
You know they’re going in a shell.

Yeah, too bad he doesn’t have a decent glove-hand, eh? Who was the nimrod who said that the other night anyway?
So I guess they need to stretch the bench for the begging of the period, rest the top pairings for a bit, though of course that’s risky business, but you don’t want your players tired at the end of the game.
At least you’re not a major radio station taking votes on throwing the season to get a better draft pick.
They call me Shane
No matter what happens now, they are WINNERS!!!
When it showed him drinking after the Caps goal his hand really was shaking. I wonder if Oveckin will take that as a sign that he won’t be confident in game 7.
know what would be good.
if the refs were forced to talk to the media after a game like that.
i mean, i think we deserve to hear the explanation for 3! diving calls.
teams don’t get 3 in a entire season.
am i alone on this one!?
Keep it simple, boys.
Keep the puck deep, clear the zone, clear the crease, win your battles, don’t sit back!
GO HABS GO!
AND THE MONTREAL CANADIENS WIN IT 3-0……….. SHUTOUT FOR HALAK…………..
GAME 7, GAME 7, GAME 7, GAME 7.
I LOVE THIS TEAM……………
There may be other teams, but only ONE Club De Hockey…
Precisely my allusion. Halak is his own goalie I agree and I have always been in his corner. His glove saves tonight and moxy tonight were Royian though. He’s 3rd on the all-time shots against list for a playoff game behind Roy and Theo. One of the all-time great Habs goalie performances ever we witnessed tonight.
I figured it was going to take a ton of luck to compete with the Caps, that’s what we’re seeing today. It also helps that the team is working pretty hard. You never know I guess.
bet on it, they’ve got to throw everything in, Chris Lee is the only one we have not seen, not that todays refs were any worse than Lee can be

Somebody has to say something. Can JM afford a $10000 fine or whatever it is?
I think he feels some team is going to sign him to a huge offer sheet. I don’t think that’ll happen, well unless he carries us on a deep playoff run. I think they’ll both be back. They’re RFA’s, not UFA’s. Price will be lucky to get a small raise and Halak will probably get 2.5 to 3mill, tops. We fans always overprice our own. Two years ago everybody thought AK would get 4 to 5mill, he got what 3.5 or something like that. Then again it only takes one idiot to overpay a guy, see Sather, Glen.

we WON at home,, Nice!!
you hit it….MAB OUT…PK in…what the heck is MAB doing? almost cost us the game in the early going, he is a powerplay shot weapon…BUT DIDN’T HAVE A SHOT ON NET ON THE PP…..MAB OUT.
PK should have been in from the start….
Next time Backstrom cuts to the middle like that, send him to the dressing room with an ice pack in his helmet. Please and thanks.
ALL HAIL HALAK!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
LOOOL
– YES HABS CAN!! –
Halak was just unbelievable. I hope he (and Markov and Gorges and Gomez and Gionta) have enough left in the tank for game 7!

K, so, I may actually have teared up slightly when Jaro skated out just there.
Yes he did. What was he supposed to do try and force against the stick and get injured? All 3 calls were bogus.
I am proud too. But the Habs have played the CAPS even from the start of the season and I like our chances of winning one more game. The pressure on them is immense. The Habs have no pressure and knowledge that they can beat this team.

That’s the team Bob Gainey put together after last year’s inspid surrender. He wanted Playoff Guts: he got us Playoff Guts.
“Wisdom is justified by her children”
In Bob we Trust…
3rd GOAL – MAX
Best Goaltending Performance Since ’93 – Jaroslav Halak
We really have something to build on.
MAX!!!!!!! Oh my God.
Its time for everyone who doubted this team to eat their words!
I’ll start with myself: I called Washington in 5.
Lapierre!

I’m too young to witness Roy live in Canadiens jersey and I’ve been able to watch games live since 2006, so I missed Theodore at his best. This was THE best Canadiens goalie performance I’ve ever seen. Plain and simple.

Gionta Too????? Are you f’in kidding me???????
Okay, so when do we start the riot?

Bring the Cup home Boys! I Will Always Believe
I would love to know how you can dive when the guys is giving you the can opener
- I Hab Faith
And Boston wins. Who would have believed the Sabres would be eliminated and Montreal takes the Caps to 7? Not me.
No worries topher. It’s all in good fun and for laughs. Cheers buddy!! Go Habs go!!!
What?
Markov has been absolutely stellar all series. In a few years, I’m 100% certain that people are going to point to his lack of production (3 A and -3) in a few years time and use it to try to point out how he “chokes” in the playoffs. But no doubt in my mind, Markov has been a force out there, making smart decisions and just generally changing the game when he’s on the ice.
Gill, Gorges and Spacek have been heroic as well, but I’ll still take Markov in a heartbeat.
THAT IS BS….WTF???? GIONTA IS NOT A DIVER…..
hEY cbc HOW ARE THOSE LEAFS DOING i BET YOUR RATING ARE OF THE CHARTS. i HOPE TSN KEEPS MONTREAL GAMES FOR GOOD NOW BY BY CBC ENJOY YOUR LEAFS.
Terrible call.
Nothing wrong with that dude, I got choked up myself at the ovation he got.

Jaro acknowleding the crowd as he’s named the game’s first star:

C’mon refs! Are you kidding me? Washington doesn’t need any help.
Haha nice
______________________________________ Gionta for Captain.
Those calls on LaPierre were unbelivable. The first one, sure don’t call boarding, but how do you call diving on that? The second one could have been “heading the stick”. Not to mention the dive on Gionta, who probably hasn’r taken a dive in his career.
TWO DIVING PENALTIES? FML.
I TOTALLY did. Wow – he’s simply amazing.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
Words can not describe how well Jaro played tonight…
PK leaving Corvo in the dust:

This is borderline conspiracy here, even McGuire can’t believe it
Hey, Timo made a positive comment earlier. He was happy with the win. I’m sure the meds will wear off tomorrow and we’ll get the old Timo back. I miss the old Timo ;(
What drugs are the refs on!! that is an INSANE call on Gionta!! He is NOT a diver!
im not saying there was a fix or anything.
but some cosmic force really wanted the caps to win this—and halak said “no thanks”.
one of the most incredible habs games ive ever seen.
OK….if Spacek is good to go for game 7. WHO SITS????
JARO JARO JARO!
WOOOOOO!
Halak puts on one of the greatest goaltending clinics I have ever seen and you praise BG?
WTF?
OB nailing Backstrom, setting the tone

Boudreau looks like he just threw up in his mouth
Cmon.
Seriously. Possibly the most important goal scored by a Hab this season. And it’s so effing Hollywood that it should be Laps.
The only sad thing about game 7 is no Charissa Thompson, Bob Harwood will be back. I think she distracted Ape man in the pre game interview, he was blushing like a grade school kid while talking to her. I dont think she wants his small Ba1ls
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Right, cause Gionta is a big diver … BRUTAL call, just stupid.
Full Breezer 4 Life
That’s 2 BS diving calls against the Habs. I wonder if Gionta has EVER been called for diving? I somehow doubt it.
I don’t konw how its possible, but I hope Gionta elevates his game even more now, how dare the refs call his intent in question!
lol nice!
I am not an animal, I just reproduce that way.
EXACTLY….HOW DO YOU DIVE ON A CAN OPENER??? HAS THE REF EVER PLAYED HOCKEY????
Jaro was like, shy, so humble, a little skate around, nothin much. Cammy punched his fist over and over and I loved that TSN stayed with it. Maybe cuz Molson is a sponsor? Lapierre… few are as happy as him when they score. Gotta love that wide grin.
Bring the Cup home Boys! I Will Always Believe!
Both diving penalties were BS. Who cares. Lappy you’re my hero! Halak… no words are needed there
F-ing unbelievable. This team has more heart than I’ve seen in years. Halak is our savior. Where are the experts who said Caps in 4 or 5. As for three diving penalties in one game??? The fix was definitely in tonight. Sorry Bettman. Your paid refs couldn’t pull it off.
A trip is a goddamn trip!
Halak….WE ARE NOT WORTHY!!
He is absolutely the last person on this team who would dive to draw a penalty.
this is for you, TSN goons, pj stock(what the hell do u know about hockey), some rds freaks.. and the so called experts.. take your bloody analysis and shove it up there!
.::moen for captain::.
Boone, no sale on Gionta, you can’t skate like that.
this is for you, TSN goons, pj stock(what the hell do u know about hockey), some rds freaks.. and the so called experts.. take your bloody analysis and shove it up there!
.::moen for captain::.
We have a nice business going here, and they make a good living off it.” Words that could easily be mouthed by Betteman.
bookmark and continue reading your blog in the future! Thanks alot for the
informative post!
He deserved it, plain & simple!!
edit: I mean the Laps goal!
– YES HABS CAN!! –
WAS THERE EVER ANY DOUBT?
Game 7 !!!!!!!
Well, the first may not have been a dive, per se, but it was without a doubt a finely embellished piece of acting not seen since the passing of John Barrymore Sr.
These refs are idiots.
This is FIXED!
FIXED
FIXXXXEDDD
This series has been a drawn-out “The Comeback against the Rangers”
I bet no one seriously thought the Habs could reach this point — tied 3-3 with the Caps — except for the 20 or so guys in the locker room.
This team has a lot of pride and character. This is what makes the Canadiens franchise great.
hope someone got a chance to ask PK how he liked the ambiance at the Booth tonight
WHAT?? Oh cmmon refs!
I’m good to go. I’m hopelessly optimistic and never gave up on them, even thru our worst streaks. AND picked them in 6. ;o)
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
OMG OMG OMG……I AM GOING TO KILL LAPS OR THE REF
Good triumphs over evil.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Bergeron or Subban, methinks.
ZOMG! I HOPE SO!!!
i agree with your second paragraph completely. Every symbol.
All I can say is… wow…

Bill, I agree, Gomez was coaching!! Jaro was a Jedi
That was brutal!! Who is this ref?

Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
Bob McKenzie on Twitter after first Lapierre diving penalty: 35 diving penalties called all year but only two were standalones
This is an absolute joke, although, I must admit, that looked kinda divey, gotta see the replay.
WHAT?????????????
Full Breezer 4 Life
Anyone know when the series against the Penguins will be starting? I am moving this weekend but I want to make sure I schedule around the game
But called by the guy outside the zone, not the ref right there. VS guys thought it was a questionable call and couldn’t believe the Gionta all. Like Gionta would EVER dive.
WOW WHAT A BULL SH*T CALL ON LAPS
HAS to be MAB
This is insane. They should investigate why the referees have been instructed to steal this game from us.
I disagree
reffing in nhl has reached a new low with that call on Gionta.
Nice Post I already digged this
its now official, the refs are trying to get Washington back in this game.
Mckenzie stated that 35 diving penalties have been handed out all season and only three without a coinciding tripping penalty. We got 2 tonight.
Bull f**king s*it call zebra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same here. Feel like we just saw a classic. Breathing was hard in that last period.
gotta be bergeron, another bad game, at least hamrlik stepped up tonight.
WHAT was that for? ANOTHER dive? please say it ain’t so
If I were confident Halak would be here next year, I would be on the phone to the Habs Zone tomorrow getting my Halak Jersey. Hell I might do it anyway, Trade in my Fake Price Jersey
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Jacques Martin’s game plan worked to perfection.
What
a coach, letting Washington stay in our end all night firing pucks to
keep Halak warm and supple.
Are the refs trying to get washington back in this game. Are you kidding me
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
The downer is we haven’t seen the ace card that bettman still holds, chris lee.
JM will NEVER sit MAB. So I guess PK will sit. DAMN!
Lapierre certanly deserved it,and has to watch it tonight. He is known for DIVING.But the other 2 were dumbell penalties,I agree.
Maybe they’ll penalize Max 2 extra minutes for embellishing the penalty!
NEVER IN DOUBT.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Another one????
The Gio call was ridiculous, this is just beyond comprehension.
Let the players decide this on the ice!!
Best game experience since the comeback over the Rangers and ten times better than that!

I would hope Bergeron.
Another terrible diving call. Wow. This ref needs to lose his job.
NEVER!!
______________________________________ Gionta for Captain.
Running on empty? with all due respect, you must be talking about the Caps.
The Canadiens have won 2 in this series ,one with “their back against the wall”.(due or die)(IN DC)
Either team can win tonight.it depends who is hungrier! if the habs play like Monday, the caps will be playing golf tomorrow!
WHAT the hell are the referees doing???
What? What?
Really? Although I haven’t agreed with all of Martin’s moves, I’m thinking he’s done a pretty decent job over all.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
I can’t wait to see what they call on LaPierre. Heading the stick?
im still in shock about the 3 diving calls
3!
diving!
calls!
on one team!
in one period!
in an elimination game!
WTF!
Well if there was corruption among nhl officials, this is exactly what it would look like.
k heres’t he deal…….calgary hab fans.
Despite the attempts of the referees to ref the score, we pulled it off with a goal tender that must be one tired puppy.
Now we can finish them off Wednesday and get ready for Crosby and the Pens.
Get ready for another long series boys and girls!
TIMO can you climb on board yet,? don’t miss this ride altogether my friend!!!
Well this is very interesting indeed.Would love to read a little more of this. Great post. Thanks for the heads-up…This blog was very informative and knowledgeable
NOW DOES ANYONE BELIEVE ME THAT THE NHL ARE TRING TO FIX THE GAMES. THESE REFS ARE CROOKS. COME ON MOLSONS STAND UP FOR THE FANS AND THIS TEAM.
Unbelievable ‘encroyhab’ JARO
What a great game by all red sweaters tongiht. One of those old fashion heart attack games, Simply Great to See.
The 3 goal rule. Habs lead by 3 and the refs handicap us by 3.
Funny thing is Ovechkin and Green will still probably party tonight – that’s how little respect they have for the game and for themselves.
All the bandwagon Caps fans probably pooped themselves tonight. Love it.
You’re too funny Ian. We’re in it though. Game 7′s are what it’s all about. Both teams leaving it all out on the ice. Who’da thunk it huh?
Conspiracy theorists, you have the floor…..
Wow.
What a load of BS….I guess it’s 3 zip call more against Montreal. The refs in this league are a joke.
at least for today, for the sake of habs effort, stop bashing martin( trust me i hate him just as much as you do)
.::moen for captain::.
It’s really disgusting how they’re trying to even this game out. Can’t call anything else, so they’ll call diving. WHATEVER.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
They forgot to tell Halak that the fix was in.
Agreed
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Its going to be bruttle in Washington the refs tried to throw this game but a guy name Halak said not on my shift The Caps were getting away with murder in out end hooking, interference no way that goal should have counted I counted two penalties they got away with.
HALAK! HALAK! HALAK!
Sign this guy tout de suite Pierre Gauthier! Jarolsav is why we’re going to game 7!
HALAK! HALAK! HALAK!
“We will win the Cup one day only with ? in the nets “
These refs are absolute GARBAGE!
Oh and that’s a slap in your mouthes whoever said Laps was useless :/
This is FIXED
So does Boudreau go with Varlamov or Theodore in Game 7? Decisions. Decisions.
I suspect we know who Martin will be going with…
instead of applying for a moose tag, how bout a ref tag?
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

He covers for his partners (at the expense of not jumping in low on the PP as much recently), clears their zone with ease, slows the pace down when things get too hot, makes clean and smart passes and is sound defensively (which is good for a defenceman
DIVING????
Hes a poor mans Mike Emerick
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
If they’re going to call diving, they have to call interference too.
All series end Wednesday. So I think all start on Friday.
Couldn’t agree more Showey. It’s really sad.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
What a wild first period in Nashville!! 4-3 already!! A firing squad!
Halak.
I believe.
No quarter. No mercy. Victory at all costs.
So it is written, so it shall be done.
OH MY LORD HALAKKKK!!!
ANYONE WANT TO MEET UP IN DC FOR GAME 7, SEND ME A MESSAGE. FIRST ROUND ON ME.
? Who is she?
Halak is inspired.
I am ashamed of myself! You always said that the Habs would pull it off to Game 7!
I apologize! GO HABS GO!
Huh?
I didn’t realize the call was made from outside. But the Gionta call and the second Laps call were certainly weird.
Bettman is trying to intervene…
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
haha! LOVE IT!!
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they’ve announced anything for the next round. At least not from what I can see on nhl.com.
Good luck with your move!
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
That is GOD LIKE goaltending!!! Holy crap!!
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
Unreal – one of the best goaltending performances I’ve seen – what does Game 7 hold? I remember the tight game 7 vs the Bruins years ago.
Gionta dives? Last person in the world. Stupidest call — I mean that strictly, a call that no intelligence could make — in my experience.
Cosmic? Money forces more like. The Hockey Gods were with Halak tonight — hopefully they’ll make the trip to Washington.
WTF are the Zebras doing??
So, who’s got the hot goalie going into game 7? That’s what I thought.
JaroRoy!
The team has played much better overall in Washington than in Montreal, so I’m confident they will get another win in Washington. How about that penalty kill!? Oh yeah, the other PK wasn’t too shabby either tonight
Halak is on fire…
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
Varly is not the problem. Caps can’t solve Halak or Habs PK.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
She does in game interviews on Versus, and she is SOOOOOOOO HOT
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
JAROOOOOOOO!
I would imagine MAB. Dressing a guy in the playoffs to play ONLY on the PP is ridiculous. Besides Markov and Subban make for a much more effective PP duo.
Halak is INSANE!! omg!
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
i! know! =)
It’s called a dose, not a doze.
Merry Christmas!
Refs trying to give them this game. It will be sweet justice if we can pull this off!
Ovie was shaking on the bench!!!
INCROYABLE
I agree. I had goosebumps when they announced the 3 stars.
I’ve watched almost every game this year… how many other diving calls were called on the habs during the WHOLE SEASON?!!?
Jaro has to read that slap pass better……Fehr was cruising through untouched and Jaro has to be beter on that play…he stayed deep and showed some less than splendid pucktracking skills on that one at a crucial time in the game. Some people will think I am being sarcastic or joking…..guess some people are smarter than others lol……
In case you missed it, Lapierre responded to his second penalty with a “ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?” – Methinks others would agree with him.
Ya had to go and say that, didn’t ya?
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
Halak is carving his name into Canadiens history. UNBELIEVABLE.
With apologies, ain’t seen something like that since Bower and Sawchuk in ’67!
Wow.. Halak was amazing.
I’m speechless.
Koivu – You will be missed.
Boudreau called us a bunch of divers in response to a Stubbs question.
It is fun, isn’t it
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Semin 22 mins, 7 shots on goal = FU
Ryan Miller … anyone know the Heimlich maneuver?

Someone call a doctor, im having a heart attack!!
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
Time for another drink.
Jaro Halak? Are you kidding me!!??

I wonder if Max thought for a second that he was getting the call there

anderson who?
i found the shot count extremly flattering to the caps and the PPs didn’t help.
what a brave and gritty play by the guys
blocking shots and taking care in thier own end.. very non risky play and pure simple hockey
you can see the capitals fall apart and every man try to play themselves.
I loved seing JM so pissed, goes to show he isn’t a mute or a stoned faced guy.
oh ya.. and the goalie was not bad either
——————
“I like what I’m seeing right now,” assessed Markov. “We’re not perfect, but we’re trying to be.”
This is what we live for hard habits, 3 hours of pure drama and stress. Come to think about it, sounds like marriage!!!
Not a penalty shot? Really? He was 1 on 1 with the goalie. No shot.
Lets scram before the cops come!!!!
Yay Habs!
Thanks Ian. Here I am pulling my hair out by the roots and all along it was all part of a brilliant plan by JM. That is why we novices bow down to your immense hockey knowledge. LOL
LAPIERRREE!!!
Best.
Feeling.

IF THEY LET HALAK GO…..I’M BURNING MY SIGNED LAFLEUR JERSEY
Ohhhhhhhhh! I could use a new jersey!
______________________________________ Gionta for Captain.
Wonder if Theodore is looking at Halak and thinking ‘That was me back in 2002 against the Bruins.”
Oh there ya go – that makes sense.

Good God man, this is one of the most calm and rational rants/posts I have ever read from you. And entirely on target. And did I say calm? Go to bed this instant. Immediately! No, don’t go near the fridge. Straight to bed.
Ole toothless takes er lol!
Geez, and we get stuck with McGuire’s shiny head.
This is one of the most entertaining games I have ever watched in my young life. And not because we are winning, it is just great hockey!
This is one of the most entertaining games I have ever watched in my young life. And not because we are winning, it is just great hockey!
If that’s not a penalty shot, what is?
3P 11:23: Greatest goaltending performance I’ve ever seen.
It’s astonishing. Exhausting.
Giants will fall.
Could not disagree more dude. Jaro is the fan fav and Price is the choice of management and the hockey gurus for logical reasons. But potential does not win games. Hard choice either way and I would not want to make the choice.
No dive this time you chicken shit ref? Are you sure?
Hahah, the site crashed again.
GO HABS GO!
Almost as hard as calling for SK to play.
Just send it to me and I’ll burn it for ya TripleX. I promise.
I’ve seen Dryden, Roy, and countless others throughout the NHL the past 35 years, and I don’t recall a stronger goaltender performance than Halak’s tonight. Thank you Jaro for treating us to your brilliance tonight. It was a pleasure to watch.
Not only did we get called for questionable penalties, we also got called for Washington’s penalties.
Are they going to call diving on Lapierre too?!
Now I know why DC people refer to Corvo as “CorvOh No”
oh, please don’t blame the flower, mate….
Ah yes but more important will Timo the Terrible become Timo the Tame if we beat the Caps?

I thought they called diving on halak there
No prisoners!
lol
Richard B
Mr. Biter
ANYONE THINK HALAK WILL SCORE THE 4th GOAL???????????
There may be other teams, but only ONE Club De Hockey…
Another brutal call.
Lorne! don’t pull it all out. But I could use some with roots, I’m getting quite thin on top my friend!
OMG, this is soooo fixed
WWE
So of Bergeron, Darche or S. Kostitsyn, who should sit?
Silly refs!
Just got in. Unbelievable! This was the 2nd straight game I missed and they won both. Having serious doubts whether I should watch game 7.
So what? If we play like we did for the past 2 games it’s no prob
The Habs didn’t let it get to them tonight at all
Bring the Cup home Boys! I Will Always Believe

Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
These officials are really taking over the game!
Refs channeling Chris Lee…Stupid calls
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
a little too nonchalant there pk….but you’re young so i’ll forgive ya…
Not a great shift by PK — he’s being a little too cute when you can’t afford to be
CAREY PRICE is SO outtahere.
2010-2011: Halak and Desjardins.
I know. What was he thinking on that tip in. He was clearly on the wrong side.
I love the quick transition Habs are getting tonight
Thanks that’s what I was looking for! lol
– YES HABS CAN!! –
fml I move on friday.
ok well hopefully pens habs is on Sat. I’d imagine CBC will want to promote Crosby. hehe I think it will all work out!
That was a legit call.
The refs are doing their best to take it away from us.
The refs are shit. What a Joke.
There should br two Washington penalties there.
These refs are God awful. They are the worst pieces of scum to ever grace the NHL.
is it bad that I get excited when the habs get a PP … then really scared .. worrying there might be a SH goal :s
I knew that was coming. F%^&**@#$% refs!!!
Edge of the seat hockey…..it hard on the ticker for sure…
Don’t

i have posted your blog on my site
This is blatant now…Hockey Gods will not allow these refs to alter destiny…
“Save us Turtleneck Man…We need you now more than ever!”
I’m glad they called that one.
why you gotta say that right now?
By all rights, the series should be over,4-2 for the Habs,if it wasn’t for a blown 3 goal lead in Game 2.
I’ll go along with that. Nice to see Bower make it into two comments here tonight
Unreal display Brian. Totally focused, in the zone, dialed in, whatever phrase you like. I hope he goes straight home, sips a beer and falls asleep in front of the 11 o’clock news.
I’m surprised they called that one.
Terrible call. Since when can’t you take a guy out of the play once he chips in the puck? Garbage.
Is anyone else starting to really dislike Bruce Boudreau?
And Halak give him the Billy Smith treatment.
Of course. The Caps can just trip over the blueline at this point at a call will be made against the Habs.
Refs to Boudreau: “look, I can’t call a penalty until you guys fall first”
I wrote at 4:30 pm that the Forum ghosts were taking the metro to the Bell Centre… and now they’re fixing a traditional playoff mtachup against Boston somewhere down this line.
Game 7s rock.
Wow, Jaro can’t do this by himself. Habs have to give him some relief.
Maybe not the best time to take a penalty.
To that very astute fan who said this series was lost years ago because of our inability to draft, do you have any other astute things to say tonight.
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
I disagree. Keep him until you must trade him. He played well in Game 4.
Or you deal him and S. Kostitsyn to Edmonton or Chicago for a package if similar young high potential players.
I’m prepared to make my verdict. SIGN HALAK!
Booner, why exactly would they be popular????? It’s so blatantly obvious they are trying to give Washington the chance to come back.
………..
“Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
Despite the attempts of the referees to ref the score, we pulled it off with a goal tender that must be one tired puppy.
Now we can finish them off Wednesday and get ready for Crosby and the Pens.
Get ready for another long series boys and girls!
TIMO can you climb on board yet,? don’t miss this ride altogether my friend!!!
you’re referring to his postgame right?
im a price guy … but wooow halak is something!

enny”It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
You forgot about Dryden in 1971 agains the Big Bad Bruins?
I hope someone is willing to take a $10,000 fine for speaking up about the officials.
Did JM bench O’Byrne since the penalty? Maybe I have just not noticed him with Markov??
Please..
Indeed.
Halak violated the Geneva Convention tonight, and then some.
SO GLAD le petit chou-chou isn’t in nets tonight.
Allan Walsh is just going to bring the highlights from tonight’s game when negotiating Halak’s contract.
What a performance.
Cammy, Gomez, Gill, AK46, Lapierre and definitely PK!!!! played great. I can’t wait until game 7.
Halak reminds me of Patrick Roy in the ’86 playoffs in the OT vs. the Rangers… this is just as fun as I imagined it’d be when I wrote a week or so ago that I hoped we faced Washington.
Props to R.J. Umberger
Like I said before:
HABS IN SEVEN!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Damnit, why can’t we take them off the game??!
This is some seriously embarrassing refereeing. Just sad.
you’re not kidding.
……….. “Thank you Cammy for making my day even more amazing!” I STILL BELIEVE. I WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE.
You can’t say that, if Montreal had won Game 2, then Washington may have come out even hungrier in Games 3 and 4… it’s that Butterfly Effect
What the hell is with Markov tonight?
How quickly Mike has forgotten Price’s 53-save gem vs. the Predators this season.

I’ve had enough of you and your JM hating. The guy is a good coach, and its about time you and the rest of the crazies on this site who have a hate-on for him give him some credit.
This “system” everyone seems to rip on him for, is working.
markov just frightened a lot of people.
Somebody restart my heart.

Friggen AK. Painful to watch that guy.
We used to have this one goalie who played awesome in the playoffs, he also used to flash his glove that way.. wonder what his name was…
You didnt know? Timo’s leading the parade!!!
What did you expect? He’s a former Toronto Maple Leaf next-great-one-that-never-came-up and his job may be on the line if the Caps choke this season again.
Another 20 minutes. Just another 20 minutes guys!
HA-LAK!
hehe I pray the Caps choke on Wednesday .. hopefully they feel fear and they aren’t confident…
I just want to be prepared… cause.. once the Habs beat the Caps.. defy all logic in the series .. they will be capable of anything. Great team with enormous fight in them.
This year. I am proud – no matter what happens on Wed
They are winners

Gill… love this guy. Of all the players, my estimation of him has gone up most from regular season to playoffs.
’bout freakin’ time mate!
Halak makes it look sooooooooo easy ))
agreed. and i knew someone would say that too.
Montreal needs to convert on this PP. A 2-0 lead on Washington can disappear very quickly.
HALAK: < GTFOOOOO!>>
.::moen for captain::.
Well,Washington WON Games 3 & 4 anyways..
Subban wheeling and dealing, nice hands!
Halak’s playing amazing.
They are doing very well for 6 on 10.
Anybody else catch that Mckenzie stat? Something like 35 diving calls made all regular season and only 3 of them being called without a coinciding tripping penalty. We got 2 in one game. Coincidence?
Andrew didn’t post for awhile now. Does this mean he’s already in the streets turning over cars and punching people wearing Cap jerseys in the face?
Insane goaltending!!
agreed. and i knew someone would say that too.
JAROOOOOOOOOOOO! HALAK!!!!!!!!!!

is a cool screen idea ! It is very interesting indeed.Thank you for your
info.i love to read all info.
Subban is going to be great in a few years. Hopefully he won’t fall flat like Price did.
HALAK!!!

Just curious…
Whay is Hammer on for the last 30 seconds of both periods. Was JM watching game 4?
50 saves for Halak. A personal best in the National Hockey League.
Tim Peel did 2 games in this series. What are the odds? He also did the game against Carolina where Saku almost had his eye carved out (no call) which turned the series around… and he’s done lots in between. I bet we’re winning maybe 1/4 of the games he does.

hello nice this one
All I ask is for Hamrlik to be left on the bench for the rest of the PP’s. He’s a shorthanded goal waiting to happen.
WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT?????????????????
Halak is OWNING!
I just wanted to say Hats off to our Coaches and Players for what ever adjusments were made regarding Face Offs. Our ability to win some big draws in game 5 and tonight are a huge reason we are going to a game 7. I dont know who is directly responsible but, NICE EFIN JOB

Lots of missed shots by everyone it seems. Despite the shot totals, I don’t feel like we’re being outplayed at all, weird.
I believe Harani was just on TV.
We got three in one game, not two. Shocking.
NO CHANCE! PK is one of those rare individuals with supreme self confidence and b a l l s of STEEL Nothing will faze this guy….if only Carey had half his mental toughness.
cammy made history too by the 2 goals in the first period.. hasn’t been done in the playoffs since 194o something according to ESPN people
Yes 3 was a bit much. Im not surprised mind you, Game 7 should hold more of the same refereeing.
Man, AK46 just keeps on breaking my heart. Why the hell can’t he get his shot on net? We are going to need three goals to win this game so he must come through for us.
NO INTERFERENCE THERE
NOPE!
NOT AT ALL
Timo where are you?
do i get more information on this
I forgot that guy was on the team tonight.!! Noticed him once tonight.

Careful here boys, we need to keep this up, don’t sit back!
What an absolutely tremendous performance by Halak tonight. Not only did he make all those saves, many of them of the spectacular variety, but he also exuded supreme confidence. I have never before seen Jaro don that “You better do something superhuman if you want to score on me!” aura…but it sure did look good on him!

That was unfortunate. How awesome would this have been as a 50-plus-save shutout in the playoffs? It was inevitable, though, with a tired team on the PK after an icing.
Fans are taking this Caps team right out of the game, love it.
OK 20 more minutes.
THIS IS WHY YOU DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
Game On
and since no one else will chant his name I will
Jaro Jaro Jaro lol
They call me Shane
They miss a holding the stick call on the Caps and bang, they score. Pathetic.
Fehr is a Habs killer.
Varly just gave up a huge rebound — we need to take shots from everywhere against him, he’s not on his game at all.
Have I mentioned recently just how much I can’t stand Pierre (the big mouth) McGuire?

He’s playing with Subban. Hammer has been playing terrible hockey. Is he hurt??
How many shots is that now 52 ?
Markov over 19 minutes TOI. That’s why you can’t sit Hamrlik or MAB.
Washington is relentless. And the short bench is very tired. Thank god for TV timeouts.

When a goalie is standing on his head it can make the score very flattering. If Halak was merely good it would be a disaster.

Good, the Caps needed to score one so in Game 7 they wouldn’t feel so hellbent on it. Relaxed Caps in Washington = Habs Game 7 Win.

Hey, I got home in time for the third. Maybe all I have to do is not watch until they get a two-goal lead?
He’s been outstanding, IMO. Dominate on the forecheck. I think he’s playing better tonight than in Game 2.

Maybe it’s because I don’t have cable?
Who needs SK when you gots PK…..GO HABS GO!
Went with a Borneo shrimp recipe over rice, mouth is still on fire.
Habs should install bayonettes on the ends of the kids’ flagpoles for tonight. That way they can shish-kebob the big ape if he tries anything funny tonight.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
You forgot, “McGUYer!”
Who cares dude? It is a non issue and silly. Get over it the kid is hardly traumatized by it.
YAH!! KILL!! BRAHHHH…oh wait, uhh……….
Actually, I bet the kid was pretty stoked….hell of a story to tell. I’ve always wondered how those kids get choosen, is it some sort of lottery? And if so, is there an age limit…?

I absolutely disagree with the last remark that the same can be said of the Habs under Gainey.
Who the F. wants Ryder, Komisarek, Souray, Kovalev or Huet back? Who that left as a FA is missed here?
And we got Cammy, Gio or Gill for nothin’ as well. Not that we traded them for a couple of 1st rounders.
Halak is an RFA correct? It doesn’t matter how small the Habs offer is as long as it is qualifying. If someone offers an obscene contract, we take the picks, if not we bump our offer enough to avoid arbitration but certainly not obscene.
Which is confirmed by how nicely Tuukka Rask has been developing with Tim Thomas.

… The thought is that they got nothing for those players, Albert. ……….. Every team picks up free agents for nothing.
have a hell’s angels kids as the flag boy let juicehead spray the kid and let nature run its course.
like it, but since it’s montreal, wouldn’t it be the Rock Machine? or are they still around? Actually, i don’t want to know. How bout Georges St Pierre
I know what the thought was, Albert
As if Stevens/Niedermayer/Gionta/Gomez/Mogilny/Holik were in the same league as our players that went the UFA route. We didn’t lose nearly as much talent as they have lost, and have replaced it well. Thet haven’t, and that’s the whole point. Whether you trade a good player at the deadline or replace him with a good player on July 1st, you are doing well, as long as your team is competitive every season and dosn’t get worse.
B.Burke is building the Bruins through the draft.
sshh! just saying the name can get you in trouble.
heading down to the fanjam. (or to a quick lil’ patio if there’s no beer.)
bon match everyone!
tonights refs tim peel (almost as bad as chris lee) and dan o’rourke
RE: Coaching vacancies – surprised not to see Don Lever in the list. He won the AHL Championship with the bulldogs in 2007 and led his team (Chicago Wolves) to the top of his division this year. He’s still in the playoffs. What gives?
Maybe because he doesn’t speak French…
“until Ovechkin does his cross-ice sprint and sits his annoying *** down
on the Washington bench”
BOONE!! Funny as hell.
I didn’t know how much I hated that classless PUNK until this series, and I am not even talking about the flag kid incident.
Let me add this to the rules for tonight.
No Ole Ole Ole or Na, na, na, na until we’re up 5 goals with one minute to go.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDOW6KofuLo
Looking froward to the game… and Subban!!!
Na na na, sure. Ole Ole is an encouragement song, like Go Habs Go, only you can’t chant that all night.
Agree totally. Also throw in Higgins.
PK scores his 1 st goal tonight, this kid oozes confidence, hopefully all of our boys will catch the ooze!
Hey guys! Pumped for PK and the game ONE HOUR TO GO
Any online links for my bro? (stuck at the office) Thanks!

Hamrlik didn’t flip it over the glass on purpose – he deserves a chance to get his game in order. He’s PK’s partner so I want to see him out there.
Bahahahaha! Knowing our luck he will be a goalie…..

“I lined up next to him at a faceoff, looked over and said “Hi Rocket”. All he did was growl.”
-Gordie Howe
Close to it certainly. He was lights out and needs to play like that all the time!
Best period of Laps career so far?
He had one turnover that led directly to three shots on goal, but other than that he’s looked pretty steady. KEEP IT UP, JARO, AND THIS ONE’S YOURS!!!

Wait… what? There’s no call??? Commercial? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Can you believe that kill????
______________________________________ Gionta for Captain.
They seem to do that every time we get a good scoring chance.
Why does the Capitals’ net ALWAYS seems to come off so easily?
WOW.
Halak, Gill and Gorges all doing their best
HEROIC work by the penalty kill units… especially Georges and Gill!

http://www.justin.tv/adakababada/popout
Okay, now what do we do now that we have to nail Bergeron, Hammerlik and Markov’s a$$es to the bench?
What were fans chanting there when they were delaying putting players on the ice?
http://www.justin.tv/nad_et_pic_5
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
You read my mind
Man the crowd is into it.
Why do the refs not call a penalty when they do it?
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
The one thing this team always does is let the other team get back into the game by handing them a goal. Lets not do that tonight boys. Keep up the pressure.
Unreal. I do not recognize this team.
(btw, my link is http://sportsstop.tv/ch3/index.html#)
amazing.. amazing.
YOU ALL ROCK!!!
Don’t include Markov in that group

Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
That was pretty to look at.
Sorry, that one is down
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
I have them even on faceoffs, 10 apiece
That’s the best I’ve seen Lapierre play all season.
Great shift by the grinders!!

Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
Halak has looked so much calmer this game and the last, then he did in the first two. Which is good.
I luv they way the Habs are crashing the net.
Gotta love Gomez coaching like that
- I Hab Faith
Pouliot just isn’t having a good playoff. Pyatt deserves his ice-time.
Gomer talking strategies with Laps!!! I looovve Gomez!!!!!!!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!! (Red wine talking)
– YES HABS CAN!! –
Brother you’re right. You’re right. You’re right. You’re right. You’re sooooooooo right.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Boones’ man Josh. The capitain.
P K P K P K
LET’S GO HABS! If you have to go down, go down fighting! Or hell – WIN! Whatever works!
Ok, I have to admit: I’m pretty excited to see PK in the lineup. He’s paired with Hammer to start, have MAB on the 4th line.
It’s going to be a good game!!!
Stelio Kontos!
Another great save from Jaro

In trouble fast.
Referee DOWN the ice “sees” a penalty. But the one 15 feet away sees nothing.
COMON.
Comon boys, get those legs moving!
————————————————————————
Never judge another man’s decision poor until you actually have proof of it failing!
What crap. The ref ten feet away let it go but the guy 60 feet away called it.
This is it boys. Make it 7!

Well, good! Game six facing elimination is hardly the right time to mix things up and try something new uh never mind
Damn it Burner, stop efin holding
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
That place is LOUDDDD!
Look at the head and eye movement from our guys. Too often in the long season, the NHL is talent against lethargy. No one’s sleeping tonight (except maybe Sergei upstairs). This game’s talent against talent.
These are penalties by the book, but this is the playoffs…
justintv nad and pic and exou got taken off and atdhe only has an american feed!!!!
