The puck droped at the start of the game and our Habs laid down and played dead. Very poor showing for at least 12 bodies and I say bodies because thats all they were, filling in a spot. Wow, not looking forward to the playoffs if we are playing the Bruins first. The Bruins didn’t need to play dirty, all they needed to do was look cross and we gave up the puck. Shame, shame.
If there was any question for Vezina it was decided tonight. sorry Price, habs couldnt even get 1 for you.

well… I guess that’s what happens when you play with no heart, no grit, no passion.
Gionta missing a wide open net, Thomas having to make two difficult saves all night, shutout 6 1/2 periods in a row… makes you wonder if the team is going to score another goal this season.
was it just me or did the habs look scared, intimidated…viscious cirlce..can’t score and can’t get frustrated.
Wow. That is one pathetic hockey team we watched tonight. I really have no comeback for anything a Bruins fan could say about that one.
Let me rethink that “let’s take Boston in round one” groove I’ve been in. Those Habs couldn’t have beaten Providence tonight.
Can’t fault any particular player: the whole team delivered nothing. I would say Price, Auld, Subban, and Mara showed up for this one.

I still think that if the Habs meet the Bruins in the first round, the Habs come out 60% of the time, even on the road.
Overblowing a single game is a trap people fall over and over and over again. Especially a blowout, which are inherently meaningless.

Hope the league steps up and suspends Marchand. That’s two dirty head shots he’s thrown in 3 games now, and after he made such a big deal about Cooke deserving a long suspension for being a repeat offender, what can he say about himself? That was yet another head shot on a player who had his head down and although Gomez “embellished things” by bleeding all over the bench later, Marchand deserves to sit for the rest of the regular season and into the playoffs, just like Cooke. To me, there’s no difference: one guy who has been a repeat offender for a long time and one who obviously hasn’t learned because he’s been back for two games and done it again.
It was ridiculous how that dolt Maguire couldn’t see his arms raised up to Gomez’ head. All he kept saying was oh that was a face on face hit

We still went 4-2 against them this year and the B’s haven’t beat us on our rink yet. We had a bad game, they had a good one, but it’s still only one win for them no matter the score and if we played a best of 7 against them, it’s likely be pretty close.
This could be a lot bigger than ‘this is just a game so let’s move on situation’. This is a mess. I really think these guys are going to struggle after tonight.
I hope I’m wrong but this is going to plant a big seed of doubt in these guys. Scored on in a five on three situation. Where’s their pride. This, is disgusting.

I know times look grim, but remember, this team was a stretch to make the playoffs when healthy. I hate the Bruins, but they have 4 NHL lines, the NHL disciplinarian, a vezina shoe in goalie, and 40 years of disappointment on their side. Whereas we have Scott Gomez and a team that will be good in 3 years.

I so hope that this game will be the straw that broke the camel’s back and it’s a beginning of running Gomez and Cammilleri out of town. I mean, in their hearts they are not in Mtl anyway. They are a complete embarrassment to the uniform. I hope this is also a beginning of getting rid off Gauthier, Bobo and Martin. Let’s face it, nothing is going to be different next year if all the same people remain. Team will have a few promising games, will be bullied by physical teams and just mail it in the rest of the games. Yet again, time for an overhaul.
