Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton going after a 20-year-old Swedish defenceman and Dominic Moore with 40 seconds left in a 5-2 game?
No class.
For the ensuing 5-on-3, Guy Boucher sending out Nate Thompson, Teddy Purcell, Adam Hall, Randy Jones and Mike Lundin?
Class.
Let’s hope the classier team wins this series.

Topic for angry Comments on the Lord’s Day: Dominic Moore.
He helped set up linemate Sean Bergenheim for the goal that got Tampa Bay rolling after an early Boston surge in Game 1.
Moore played played 17:15, including 4:26 on the Bolts’ perfect penalty-kill, had three SoG and went 6-4 on faceoffs.
He’s plus-4 through the playoffs and is giving Guy Boucher as good a third line as the coach could wish for.
Was letting Moore get away last summer Pierre Gauthier’s worst off-season mistake?
Discuss.
Bear in mind, however, that Moore wanted a two-year deal and got $1.1 million per from Tampa Bay.
Forced to pinch pennies (thank you, Scott Gomez), Gauthier saved $500,000 by signing Jeff Halpern – a RH faceoff and PK specialist – to a one-year deal.
Moore is younger, faster and way better in the O-zone (18 goals this season), but Halpern was cheaper.
Gauthier is not the first GM to make a mistake on Moore. The Harvard grad was having a breakout season with the Leafs when Brian Burke traded him to Buffalo for a second-round pick in 2009.

Guest Comment from HabinBurlington:
So Claude Julien continues to prove what a brilliant coach he is. Seguin looked sharp, so he pretty much benched him for the 2nd period. Then he basically blames the loss on not winning faceoffs. The Bruins mgmt collectively will try and rush Bergeron back, they don’t give a FFFFF that this guy coming back early will/could be eerily similar to Savard rushing back last playoffs. How did that work out long term you bunch of idiots. Bergeron is one of the few bruins I like, and if they bring him back game 2 (or any time this series) it will show there complete disregard for players.
And of course the bruins had to finish the game with their patented, well we suck at hockey tonight, so how about lets fight. Unbelievable some people don’t realize how thuggish this entire organization is. I don’t doubt they have lots of talent on that roster, but all is negated with their complete lack of respect.
As someone else posted last night, Did Horton’s contract in Boston require that he become an idiot now that he is in a Bruins jersey?
Good job TBay, keep taking it to them. We all know a 2 game lead means nothing (aargh… that hurt to type)

concise and timely article. Boucher was interviewed on versus after the game and asked about putting on 3rd stringers for the power play. He said it was about showing respect. He also alluded to being proactive about his decisions in a game as much as possible, and changing things up to stay one step ahead of the opposition.
While I certainly missed Doninic Moore’s clutch play this year, I think Boucher’s the one we really let get away. Sure Habs don’t have as much talent, but sure looks to me that Boucher would be the better man at bringing out the best in the talent they do have.
As far as the Bruins, it’s clearly top down at this point, since it matters not who is behind the bench. And what do they have to show for the last 40 years of classlessness? Anybody but Boston this year, if there is any justice
Funny how the Bruins never give the opposing team credit for beating them, it’s always some lame comment like…” I thought we gave them some easy goals and that was our doing more than theirs” said Julien. Never hear him say that they were beat by a better team on that particular night. What a bunch of sore heads, they can dish it out but they can’t take it…Lucic and Horton are prime examples, two immature thugs who, when the game is lost, they go head hunting with cheap shots on the opponent and the sad thing about it is that they get away with it. The league should really clamp down on these two punks and hit them where it hurts when they pull this crap after the whistle, unsportsmanlike penalties may smarten them up but, with those cement headed jerks, I don’t think it will, a good old fashion shit kicking would be much better in my opinion!! I hope Tampa hammers the shit outta them tonight in more ways than one and then sweep them out to pasture with 2 more wins in Tampa Bay. They are not worthy of a championship, that organization is a classless bunch of losers. They have been exposed for what they are, selfish thugs and goons who don’t deserve to win anything. I picked Tampa in 6, but I hope they sweep these ass holes right out of the playoffs. I would love to see Downie dummy Marchand, the little mouthy rat needs his trap shut for good ! Go Tampa..!!
Ah! Another Bruin headshot to go unpunished…
I’ll give the Goons this much, they’re consistent. I wasn’t really fussed about watching this series, but I hope Habs South spank the f*^%$#s.
Anyhow, St Louis v Chara is the worst match up possible for the big lug. He’s going to get owned so bad by Marty, it will drive him up the wall. After wiping the floor with Boston, TB can sit back and wait for SJ and the Nucks to slug it out for 7.

Go PK Go!
Hey LA: I think Teemu pretty much said he was retiring from international hockey after the Finns won the bronze at the last olympics.
Lightnings fans are outraged after those Bruins players unsportman like conduct. Is it the way it’s gonna be for the Lightnings? Trying to deliberately hurt our players at the end of games should warrant suspensions. But it’s ok because the gamblers are loosing money? The refs tried everything in their power to give chances to Washington because they were favorites, now Boston? Are you serious NHL?
Another guy just died most likely because of a concussion and it’s ok to sucker punch a defenceless player? REALLY?
It’s time people come to grip with the fact that Guy Boucher is a genius and should undeniably be coach of the year, period.
Guys please go here to voice your opinion:
Should the NHL do anything about Bruins’ late-game message-sending?

No Live Blog tonight I take it?
Aww luck on Boucher and the Tampa Bay Lightning this game.
Bruins will come back, just as they have come back against us.
“We will win the Cup one day only with ? in the nets “
“Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton going after a 20-year-old Swedish defenceman.” Does the fact that he’s Swedish really affect the classlessness of the infraction? Poor choice of words. This was a gutless play regardless of the victim’s nationality.
Milan Lucic consistently shows the worst sportsmanship in hockey. He always looks for blood when his team gets spanked. The most dangerous thing to do in hockey is to dominate Boston. If they can’t compete on the ice, they just start assaulting people. They are a brutal, classless and thuggish organization with very immature players.
The Bruins and Lakers should get together and split a box of Kleenex when this series is over.
6-1!!!
Thank you Sweden!

Crazy at the end there, great game though. Would have been nice to see Saku and Teemu there but that whole team played great in the final.
I’m amazed. In the beginning this team looked like a bunch of nobodies + Mikko Koivu. Most important thing is that Finland has won this tournament twice, both times vs Sweden!!!
http://media.turku.fi/kamera1.html
I think (guessing only) that Saku wanted his brother to have his turn in the spotlight and I think it’s a good sign for Anaheim that Teemu didn’t play – if he were really wanting to retire wouldn’t he want to go out with a medal at home?
After Vancouver teemu said he will never play for the international team again, so yeah, and I just assume saku is hurt 24/7 now anyways
HH doesn’t sound like you’re cheering TOO much. No sense getting over optimistic I guess.
Holy gong show. Probably work on pullin that goalie though
Elite forwards would be a nice thing to have on the Habs. Cammy and Gionta are not elite. They are top line forwards but not elite. Nor is Plekanec although he has it in him. Gomez?
And that people is the core forward crew. The best the Habs have to offer.
My guess is the Habs, if they can slowly build up a decent prospect pool and put themselves in a position to make some good trades in a few years, could very well have a few elite prospects in the minors for an eventual Cup run around 2020.
Why do I need to watch Finland v. Sweden on a choppy internet feed with play-by play in a foreign language?
Den Glider In time~
If there is someone named karma, what is taking it so long to show up to take care of those Bruins?
