Three unanswered goals in the third period broke a tight game open.
After losing Jaro Spacek and Mike Cammalleri in the first period, the undermanned Canadiens rallied with opportunistic scoring.
Every goal was a highlight reel job, including a Travis Moen breakaway.
Before he got hurt, Cammalleri scored the Canadiens’ first goal of the season.
First PP goal was a Yannick Weber laser.
Carey Price made 30 saves. Don Cherry called him the best goaltender in the world … and he coached Gilles Gilbert.
And the PK pitched another shutout … including a 5-on-3.

DD has limitations, but he’s decent of faceoffs and a terrific passer on the PP with time and space.
I’d reward him with some time with Cole and MaxPac – two big wingers who need passes on the tape to get back into it. C’mon JM… Make it happen.

maybe it’s because of his matchups and ToI management, but I’s give him a shot too, and center Gio and Max for sure.
Well, the one thing about the injuries that I view as a positive is that a lot of guys are going to be thrown into the deep end of the pool. If management thought they are good enough to be Habs, they should be good enough to go now.
Simpson is a real piece of work, so is the whole CBC for that matter. Simpson calling for penalties agains tthe Habs and making no mention of the penatlies that the Jets should be getting.

Canadiens management should make a complaint to NHL headquarters about the officiating on the Jets’ goal. That was practically a goaltender mugging in the crease. The Canadiens ought not to be meek about that gross noncall.
