Well if it isn’t Price, it’s Cole, if it isn’t Cole it’s Pac let’s see who else we can put on this list……I like to read the posts on here just for the comments.SOME OF THEM DUMB!!!! as listed above these guys play their hearts out every nite Do some of you numbskulls ever think maybe they want to be traded?SICK Of LOSING!!!! Wait & see how long they stick around. We are a 500 team we don’t have anything else to give for the moment.FIRE THE GM & GET RID OF GAINEY, sorry Randy you have done a good job with what you were dealt with but I guess you have to go {SAD} Whoever we get for a coach will have to play under Gainey’s rules [FIRE HIM} you will never get Mcguire to coach here because the top guys are not going to tell him what to do I am sure that is the only way you will get Mcguire to accept the postion. GET PG OUT BEFORE THE DRAFT!!!!!!….I BELEIVE!!!!!
A. Kopitar is a big centre entering the prime of his career. I don’t know off hand what his contract status is but he is a player that I always coveted for the Habs.
If LA is looking to get Carter or Nash, then Kopitar might be expendable.
I agree. In think someone is definitely pulling strings. I really don’t think RC would out Darche with plecks of it was up to him. RC seems competent, and could make a decent coach.
Watching L’Antichambre, I like how Carbo didn’t mind calling out RC for the Mattieu Darche nonsense. Why not try a Pleks-Bourque-AK combination ever as our second line? Darche should never see time on the first 2 lines, unless we’re winning by 3 goals, or somebody goes down.
IMO use AK to his strengths or trade him for something reasonable that will fit the new direction the team is going. He should be playing with Eller or DD. I don’t understand the lines, especially if we are desperate as Randy’s been sayin’ “They’re all playoff games now” ? Offence needs some kinda boost ?
AK – Pleks – Bourque
Max – DD – Cole
RW – Eller – LL
Darche – Gomez – (____)
I realize we had #60 in there for Louie.
I don’t know, but that was pretty much the season ?
Carbo is criticizing another coach for putting 4th liners with top 6 forwards? Carbo used to put defencemen with them.Does nobody remember carbo putting streit or dandenault on the wing with koviu. I think RC is being told by pg to put darche there in order to give him some trade value.
I don’t know if this was already posted. If it was sorry.
It’s for the people saying we should go get Nash…RDS panel was discussing what Columbus wants in exchange… Ridiculous demands…Nash to Philly for Van Riemsdyk, Bobrovsky, Sean Couturier, AND a 1st round pick… Obviously Philly rejected that offer. So forget about Nash wearing the Bleu Blanc et Rouge, they want WAY too much lol
Bourque did suck. We can’t have two underachieving forwards that are supposed to bring similar games suck concurrently. Bourque is under contract. So AK must go. May be the Penguins are dumb enough to trade their 1st pick in 2013. Nathan MacKinnon come on down!
Unless the nhl goes back to a 48 game schedule halak is useless to us. The blues tried giving him #1 starts last year and he blew it,they tried again this year and he ended up losing his starting job to elliott.Hitchcock’s system has pretty much saved halak’s career.
IM actually afraid that PG will target a player that we dont need and use the picks that he will get by trading away our remaining UFA’s. Also he may even trade Cole if it is necessary to get hsi man. Considering how he focuses in on one deal with one team if they want COle it could happen. Knock on wood.
My Caps fan buddy is pretty knowledgeable and he was definitely interested in Plex. They have some issues on Caps. Of course he’s not the GM, but he didn’t laugh me out of the room.
This game was painful to watch, but instructive and a reality check when it comes to facing the better teams. Trade our UFAs and look to the future, that’s my mantra. A bigger skilled team with Price in goal and having the likes of PK, Eller, and Pacioretty with another 3-4 guys of equal or more skill set added to the mix is a formula for a Cup. Guys like Gallagher, Beaulieu, Tinordi and Bournival will be ready to make significant contributions in the next couple of years. Emelin, White, Gorges and Diaz (yes, him too) will be essential as well. I just hope the ownership and management of my dear Habs (who occupy most of my essential imaginary vicarious life (children excluded)) realize that a long-term strategy should be in the works. And what I mean by long term is relatively soon: 20013-14 will be a very good season for us.
So they won 5 of thier last 7 games with all these floaters. Wow this must be some skilled team where they can win 5 of 6 with most of the team floating.Ever wonder how youg D-men and 4th liners can skaye rings aroung your top 5. Then the next game they play magicly they become forth liners again. Funny how they go from skating like a beer leaguer to Crosby just when they play Montreal.
Ron Mclean and the boys on HNIC are happy the Habs lost. CC said its tough to play against the NJ system . Well CC this is why we hire a coach to prepare your team to beat the other team system. Seem ever coach the Devils hire can beat our system. Every coach the Habs hire can’t figure the Devils’s system. Some how I think if they hired Larry he would beat the Devil’s system either. The Devil’s system has a litle help when they play the Habs WINK WINK.
Its because of boob slike Stock, Milbury and even Maclean that CBC will lose HNIC in the near future. Cheeries will then join the crew on Dragon’s Den.
Poor RC- when you’re given Campoli Kabs Weber to work with etc…. not to mention some other floaters on this team.. Man… Larry Robinson. Hard to watch Campoli play and know a legend like Larry is watching and behind the Devils bench…. Good job management! Hope you’re enjoying thr fruition of those JM/PG years…… Jeez…. So how bout them Leafs? Lol
We’d have to give up SO much to get him. Not worth it. Columbus will only trade him for a severe overpayment by someone, and the Habs are not in a position where they should be overpaying for anyone (Gomez and Kaberle is enough overpayment for one team).
First off,I don’t think anyone had a dry eye after that tribute to The Kid!! Well done I say. That game wass really rough to watch…far too many Jekyll and Hyde players on this team.We only seem to get small glimpses of the real team that dominates over teams like Vancouver and Detroit.Hell they even made a game of it against the Bruins last week. The defence is lacking sooo much..most of them couldn’t crack an egg in Price’s blue paint.I wish we had four more guys with Ryan White’s passion and grit.I just pray that the moves going forward bring in some toughness to help compete with every other team out there. Just keep the faith my fellow fans…Gauthier will be gone hopefully and a real G.M. will sort this out!
I have zero expectations going in to any game against Martin F so why should this be any different. Always the same old boring game with the Devils and the Habs just play right in to their hands. And those two deflections and the screens were certainly a Devils trademark. They don’t crash the net for scramble goals like the Br00ns and others but they do know how to play a screen.
21 shots in a must win game… Stick a fork in them, they’re done. If we were to somehow make the playoffs it wouldn’t be on the backs of these vets, but on magical play of some of our youth. Let the fire-sale begin!
Too many passengers and just plain no talents on this team. Blow it up already. This season can’t end soon enough. After the DD line the effort from the rest of the forwards is pretty much non existent, and the D?? Kaberle, Diaz, Weber, Campoli, how bad is that?
Everytime I see big bird on that Jersey bench I want to vomit! Shame on you Habs.
If that dope is the goalie of the future you might as well leave Gandhi and Gainey upstairs, it’s hopeless. And Milt Melchnick is on Twitter blaming Rene Bourque LOL!
Honestly explain to me what “that dope” could have done to stop those first two goals, sure the third one MAYBE, but when the rest of the team is playing that badly, there’s nothing the goalie can do.
He was stunned and didn’t fight for the second one either. He consistently kills the team with indifferent weak play. I’d rather have Anderson from Ottawa in net. At least he’s a scrapper like Gumper or Cheevers. Price, well it’s 5 years now and he went one round years ago. Now in 15th place in goaltender standings. Halak in 4th. SIGH. What could have been…
I brought my 11 year old out to play outdoor hockey yesterday. I recently acquired small, men’s size goalie pads, and a chest protector for him(he is 5’4″ and 120 lbs, and still getting used to the extreme weight on his body of this new equipment….as a result he is slow moving). I saw him make better saves, playing with 15 to 20 year olds(who could skate and shoot well), and he isn’t being paid two million dollars. The point is that Price needs to stop two out of those three goals. Brodeur certainly made the key saves when he needed to, and at age 40 for that matter. If the score is 1-1, Les Canadiens get at least one point at the end of regulation, go to overtime, and maybe shootout…….who knows what would have happened there….and possibly get two points, while being guaranteed one, instead of none. With the Devils, you must beat them at their game. If this is truly an elite goaltender, he would know that three goals is at least two goals too many, against a stingy defence, and goaltender who doesn’t usually allow a lot of goals, especially when they get the lead. Dope is harsh, but he is not what everybody thinks he is. Time to fleece a team, while all the G.M.’s still believe this B.S. about Price. Look below for solution.
Carey Price for Rick Nash and one of their goaltenders.
P.K. Subban and others for Shea Weber
Now Les Canadiens can, and will win a Stanley Cup again.
Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye…That Was All She Wrote! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sidL7S09jsc&ob=av2n
( watch carefully to see the chick throw her bra up on the stage) .
Maybe the dames should do that at the bell centre.
It might create a heightened awareness from our players,
and keep Boone from dozing off.
Wait a minute now. Nothing has changed in the standings as of tonight. No one increased their lead. It would have been nice to move within four points of the LAFFS, but they still have 22 games to go. That’s 44 points, and as of right now they only need 6 to tie the last playoff holder LAFFS. Still time for Gauthier to get Rick Nash, and Shea Weber, then you will see. The question is, will he have the balls to do what should have been done already. Stay tuned.
Shea Weber: Start with Subban and add others as needed
Rick Nash: Start with Kostitsyn(Gomez must also go somehow to be able to fit Nash under the salary cap), and add others as needed.
The Laffs and the Caps, can also easily lose their next games(for proof see last night). No problem, as of yet. Les Canadiens need to stay on course. Remember, Markov will be returning, and that in itself is going to be a medium to large upgrade, without giving up anyone, and without actually making a trade
See the results of Ottawa and the Islanders today. I told you so. Anyone of those teams(TOR, NYI, WAS, WIN) can lose at anytime.
I’d like to pat myself in the back here because if I don’t, then who will? To those that said that the season was finished for Montreal after the NJ loss, think again. Still 44 points to potentially acquire. That is plenty to make up and surpass a six point deficit, given the way teams at the bottom of the East are playing. Gauthier better be acquiring some real fire power(Rick Nash, and Shea Weber specifically) on or before the 27th. None of this give away players for the draft picks, or minor leaguers shit.
This game was a video replay of a past matchup against the Devils right? I swear I have seen this before. LAst year on SUper Bowl sunday exact same. ONly the 07-08 season could we beat these guys at home. Way to defend your home turf guys. WIthout a fit Erik COle our offense is pathetic. Sad
Well, good try by the boys, at least they put the effort in.
In regards to seeing good in losing? The only good thing from losing is the learning that comes from the mistakes. There is no benefit from tanking – tanking is just a way for people to justify losing and feel good about it – that is a defeatist mentality. Teams that tank still suck, the 2 teams that don’t got lucky because they drafted generational talents. Picking 1-5 won’t help this team anymore than picking 10-30. The important thing is winning and learning how to play better, and by losing players learn what to do. This is an off season, regroup in the summer and come back better next season. But hoping for the team to lose because that is how it gets better is misguided. Nail or Grig are not going to turn the boat around, good coaching, direction, and management are what is key – this team has the young players, it just needs to give them the environment to succeed, and that is done by trying hard and putting in effort, not by losing on purpose. No one with any self respect would accept that.
Its the same story every time. Cant score and late weird goals in 1st two periods. Same will happen next time and the time after and we will all watch expecting a different result like a bunch of dummies.
For all the criticisms of the New Jersey Devils’ style of play, it is notable that they, unlike another team I could mention, do not have any passengers.
Boone… Wake Up! It wasn’t a great D play by Devil tonight… it’s the fact that habs only showed up in the 3rd period. (And Devils really got 3 lucky goals tonight)
Man, the MQ (Moron Quotient) is awful high here tonight.
Think I’ll give you sad-sacks a rest.
See ya later, to those I dig (you should know who you are).
NJ is such crap, they play a boring game, no one cares about their team, and they are just lucky to be winning this game. Tonight may not be the Habs’ night but they’ve been really unlucky this game. NJ and that senior goalie aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs, which is the same as not even making the playoffs.
Don’t mean to be too negative but why does Gauthier keep on recalling Palushaj from Hamilton. There’s gotta be someone better than him he’s definitely not an NHL caliber player..not near. If it would be interesting to try out Geoffrion and see how he pans out
NJ simply getting all the breaks they need for their goals. That last one could easily have hit Weber and the NJ player, but a seam opened up right as the puck arrived, going right through it and into the net.
AK, Kaberle and Bourque are all useless. They add nothing in a time of need. Those that think that AK is a 20 goal scorer, well let’s see it. It is likely AK will not even score 30 points this year. Kaberle was done before he got here, only PG did not realize it. Bourque seems to be as lazy as his reputation. Has not doe much since he arrived.
Hockey Inside/Out encourages lively debate, but there is a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism, profanity and behaviour that we deem to be offensive.

Ak has to go. He coasts out there. Literally. He looks awful. We should have send h to Nash with gill and got a 1st rounder and 2nd rounder.
Is it safe to have one foot on the tank wagon and the other off! What a downer. A win tonight and 2 points would have been a nice boost.
Darche skates hard with a limited talent. AK skates hard for 30 feet and has reasonably better talent. What’s a coach to do?
IMO use AK to his strengths or trade him for something reasonable that will fit the new direction the team is going. He should be playing with Eller or DD. True, but he has more shutouts than Price with less games played. Six.

Tonight I saw a once great franchise fail miserably: boring, listless, lacking direction …
Yes, I’m referring to the Simpsons again.
Now, what to do about the Habs?
How about Plex to Wash for Colorado’s #1?
How about Nashville’s #1 for AK46 and the #2 they gave us for Gill?
And Moen to Boston for their #1.
All reasonable trades.
Then call up Jacques Lemaire – you know he’s bored…

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
Yeah I really see the Brunes helping the Canadiens out.

Not dissing you, but they only appear reasonable in that veneer pro-Habs hypothetical way. One can only wish.
My Caps fan buddy is pretty knowledgeable and he was definitely interested in Plex. They have some issues on Caps. Of course he’s not the GM, but he didn’t laugh me out of the room.
72 we have sometimes banged heads, but your post is wonderful and REALISTIC – no Gomez to NJ for Kovalchuk straight up.
I’m hearing Moen to Detroit, but anyway your trades are “reasonable” and I hope you generate some interesting posts.
I still think we could have got more for Cammi out of LA than Bourque, but that’s just me.
And yes I’d love Lemaire and/or Larry to come home. I’d LOVE Larry to be mentoring PK.
I suspect PK will be alright no matter who is coaching – but we have quite a few young D-men coming down the pipeline.

I guess it’s easy to measure RC for a rope, but he is in an impossible situation. The players have to take some responsibility.
We had to win tonight, a 4 pointer if ever there was one. We didn’t.

We’d have to give up SO much to get him. Not worth it. Columbus will only trade him for a severe overpayment by someone, and the Habs are not in a position where they should be overpaying for anyone (Gomez and Kaberle is enough overpayment for one team).

That should include PLEKS and AK and Weber and Campoli. Not to ‘get rid of them’ but use them wisely as assets to add pieces to our team.
ITs not like trading any of those guys will affect our play in teh last 20+ games. They are all replaceable the way they are playing.

( watch carefully to see the chick throw her bra up on the stage) .
Maybe the dames should do that at the bell centre.
It might create a heightened awareness from our players,
and keep Boone from dozing off.
Didn’t show up for a big game. These are your Montreal Canadiens!
I’d take Cammy over Bourque all day.
You would take an 11 year old over a real man?…to play in the NHL? Not in the NHL of this universe…..maybe you need to move to an alternate universe.
I am not gonna crap on anyone… but neither will i live in false-hope anymore. This was the playoff chance… it’s over.
Stay tuned.
How do you get them? Will have to give up the entire team. This loss was huge setback even though it doesnt show in the standings tonight.
I hope they don’t play Price again this year. He is really hurting our chances at a win… Unless we could play 18 minute periods?
And Brad Marchand has a tiny nose.
And he can spell.
He does not eat with his feet
And you think we lost because of Price? Gee, I guess he should win every game 1-0 then. Right?
Drive for 25! 2012-2013. Max-Pac for Conn Smyth.
I BELIEVE!
Price is really hurting our chances.
Can you believe it!
He doesn’t have one lousy goal all season.
Pathetic!
disclaimer: Anybody who thinks this Price’s fault should move to Toronto.
MQ + 8
Big game and the boys didn’t show up tonight.
Bon nuit partisans!
Stop recording and erase. Next Dallas.
Hopefully Brodeur will retire after this season.
Games against New Jersey usually winds up as a L for the Habs. Pointless to get all bent outta shape over it.

Its the same story every time. Cant score and late weird goals in 1st two periods. Same will happen next time and the time after and we will all watch expecting a different result like a bunch of dummies.
well that was a bummer..
Too many passengers, as usual.
Suivant, next.

at least were still in the playoff picture, only 6 points out!
For all the criticisms of the New Jersey Devils’ style of play, it is notable that they, unlike another team I could mention, do not have any passengers.
Yep….

Omg is that Larry Robinson?!? Wow. Hope management gets the MSG on this one
Would love to see Larry coaching our D… But this management team is asleep at the helm.
Tank I say! Tank!
“We will win the Cup one day only with ? in the nets “
Boone… Wake Up! It wasn’t a great D play by Devil tonight… it’s the fact that habs only showed up in the 3rd period. (And Devils really got 3 lucky goals tonight)
Eller looks like he’s lost his confidence
because they are not playing him… give him a chance
Erik Cole has soo much heart!
New Jersey home of the mob. Any wonder they get all the mother’s little helpers they need.
hopefuly we can trade bourque the guy is the most useless big guy ive ever seen Dustin penner number 2

Doesn’t take some long to get down on a guy. People were calling Cole useless in the early part of the season, how’d that turn out?
Man Campoli crumbles under pressure…. Devils forechecking ate up some precious time
Man, the MQ (Moron Quotient) is awful high here tonight.
Think I’ll give you sad-sacks a rest.
See ya later, to those I dig (you should know who you are).

Haters gonna hate……

How Campoli won his arbitration with the Hawks is a huge mystery to me.
Probably a huge mystery to him too.

Bourque benched. Or just invisible.
Both.

Blake Geoffrion had 2 assists tonight in his second game with the Bulldogs. He has 1 goal and 3 assists in his first two games with the Dog’s.
I switched to the Simpsons’ 500th episode at 8pm.
The hockey game is better.
Much better.

Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
2 assists for Geoffrion tonight.

Price has the ugliest mask in the NHL…
See, the Habs have the capacity to create tons of pressure, just not at a consistent pace.

And gomez almost scores his third of the year!!
At least, Gomez showed up tonight. He deserves more ice time than Plecks.
completley agree pleks is heartless

I think we’re starting to get it…you hate Pleks don’t you?

at least gomez is showing heart, unlike pleks the guy has no heart

That stretch there of 5 on 5 was better than 80% of the powerplays this year.
Kelly Hrudey was right about Bourque, he rarely shows up…
Trade him. Dead weight must go.
Richard R
Pleks has had a brutal season period.
Hey Boone… Bourque is as invisible in Montreal as he was in Calgary (that is why he was traded)
Don’t mean to be too negative but why does Gauthier keep on recalling Palushaj from Hamilton. There’s gotta be someone better than him he’s definitely not an NHL caliber player..not near. If it would be interesting to try out Geoffrion and see how he pans out
Leblanc was sick.

Camoli, Weber and Diaz are soft as Parkay!
Webber & Diaz are from the same mould.
Campoli is just plain soft.
ALWAYS Habs -
