Well, at least they showed that when they can turn on the offensive pressure against Boston. Sucks that they came out so flat–almost as though they tried too hard not to get caught up in the atmosphere–but they’ll learn from it and be ready for Thursday night.
Why don’t we come out like that in the first!!!!!!!! FRUSTRATING.
They played awful in the 1st and got better as the game wore on. I’ve got a feeling they’ll come out more prepared on Thursday.

We all like to pick on Thomas, but you have to give credit where credit is due.
He made a handful of great saves in the waning minutes.
That said, he also gave up two questionable goals.
If the Habs can play closer to 60 minutes on Thursday like they did the last 20 tonight, they should be in much better shape come Saturday.
i have a special WTF dedicated to gomez…. clutch performer in the playoffs? empty net and shoots it right into thomas..

Tough luck. But you can’t lay a stinker like that in the first period and get away with it. Bad news on the 3rd goal too as Price’s pass got picked off, but 9 times out of 10 he makes that one, so live by the sword …
They’ll be back better and harder next game. They won’t suck out in the first period either. This series is shaping up to be an awesome one … Habs in seven.

Not much to this one, folks. House-league basics.
The Bruins are first to the puck more often than not and when they’re not, they go harder after it.
Much as the Habs could have prepared for this kind of bounce-back from the Bruins, it was bound to take them aback out on the ice. The difference between the Bruins in games 1&2 and tonight is night and day.
The second intermission might give the Habs just enough time to get up off the mat, give their heads a shake, and get back into it.
If not, I’m confident they’ll come back in game 4 much better prepared for the ‘alive-and-well’ Bruins.
The game is a different game…… If they called that high stick on chara, we’re down 0-2 with a 2 man advantage. That 3rd Boston goal would not happen if refs call Charley horse on cammalleri . The wonderful world of ifs
