Canadiens salvage a point against a hapless, non-playoff team.
Is that you Jimmy?
“If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” (anon)
Is that you Jimmy??
Hey Bill, are you Don Cherry? we all have our favorites, but how can one argue against a coach who has made it to the conference finals , two playoff appearances and a pretty good system that got the Habs north of 93pts this year despite all the key injuries this team has taken. It is also noteworthy that, when there is a rookie defenceman like P.K Subban, who many thought JM was ruining, is only within a goal of equalizing a 40 year old record for goal scoring while also being a key shutdown defenceman! So Come on! and get your head out of your A** and support the Habs in the greatest time of year!!!!
To put things in some perspective, in the past 2 weeks the Sens have beaten both Washington and Philly.
The point means we avoid the Caps, at least in round one.
So is Kirk Muller the actual coach of this team or what?
“My second favourite team is whoever plays the Leafs”
No no no. It looks that way because he’s drawing up the plays whenever there’s a situation to be addressed, but rest assured he is not the actual coach.
Because if KIRK MULLER were the coach of this team they wouldn’t play such a pansy, passive, surrender-monkey system. They’d play KIRK MULLER hockey, which means DRIVE HARD ALL THE TIME. ATTACK. HUSTLE. DON’T GIVE AN INCH.
I sort of went all HABSPROF there, but I get excited when I talk about Kirk Muller and I believe the point is valid.
Full Breezer 4 Life
NAG and NHL/REF CONSPIRACY and blah, blah, blah…
Yeah, but how about that KIRK MULLER?? Would LOVE to see him actually coach some NAG/GRIT-SPEED into these guys … a Kingston guy who grew up loving the Habs? Perfection. I still have his hockey card in my wallet.
You need help Bill 😉
Seriously, if Muller can get some head coaching experience somewhere and prove himself then maybe. But not here, not until he gets some experience and racks a winning record somewhere.
THAT is the kind of answer I was hoping for.
I actually cried when the Habs traded Muller to NYI for freakin’ Turgeon The Tin Man.
I cried AND I wrote a song, so I win.
Bill….I agree with you 100% I wish for the same thing love to have KIRK AS COACH LOTS OF FIRE that is what we need. Any chance of getting rid if JM????????
smiller…..Kirk Muller should be the coach. Did you see him showing the board to our players with the last few minutes to play & they scored what a guy. The sad part of this is that we will lose him next year , he is the backbone of this team, good hockey experince & really in the game……..RETIRE JM YOU ARE SO PASSIVE ,ASLEEP MOST OF THE TIME NO DRIVE, please leave we need Kirk with all his fire. LOUSY GAME!!!!AMERICAN IDOL WAS BETTER TO WATCH THAN THIS CRAP TO-NITE
my choice for the c was always cammi. after gio got it i just hoped we would gel.
boys, captaincy is nothing here. we have many. one more meaningless game and we can all get back to winning games.\
straight up and down….
NO PJ you goof…this was NOT an important game…and NO it is not bad just before the playoffs…its a nothing game against nobody…why is this putz allowed to talk…yes PJ its Pyatts fault….you stupid stupid man…GET OFF THE AIR!!!!
second place is just the first loser
woh, dude. i agree but goof is too much
in lieu of my avatar “if you dont smoke Tarrlytons …F_YOU!!!!!”
Goof is too much? Are you kidding or have you been to prison?
I could not believe it when he accused Pyatt of turning at the last minute. I watched that replay over and over and never saw Pyatt turn his numbers at the last minute. Lessard rode him all the way into the boards. Props for Gelnn Healey for taking on “Loser” Stock, what a putz why CBC has him I can’t imagine, oh wait he hates the Habs that’s why…..
Can you say “rat’s ass” on HNIC? Way to go Heals!
cancell your cable and demand a no confidence vote on youre next ballot. the ayes have it..
Can’t blame our team…they didn’t have to play till the last game to make the playoffs. They just had no experience for this game. 😉
let the trolls have the mic. their teams players are thinking about next years contracts. oh wait…cbc is talking about how this game actually meant something….stock should do my job for a day….loser~
Stop complaining you losers. Support your team already. You don’t see me bitching and whining.
Wait, you mean we shouldn’t have tanked this game 😉
Young padwan. The tanking window has passed. Next opportunity is 2015-2016.
Lot of moaning and groaning around here, imagine what Ranger fans are saying tonight.
cbc and all so called canadian media is prob praising them for there hard work
Please rest Pleks and Hammer they need healing time.
Please sit PK as we know what happens to our Dmen in Toronto.
PK won’t sit one goal short of a record.
Record? What record?
It must be goals for a rookie Dman?
Habs rookie D.
we got the point..we deserved it….
The loss really doesn’t matter, you could tell the guys didn’t care. What i dont like tho is the lack lustre effort this close to the playoffs. Its a good time to work hard and iron out some kinks going into the playoffs, but they laid an egg….
Sat in Toronto with Price back in nets better be a better game. Again realistically it doesnt matter, but i dont want to go into the playoffs after playing two Sh!t games
Terrible OT effort, just scrambling around. Predictable L with coverage like that.
– I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
Well, Rangers lost, so Montreal will finish 6th or 7th. Boston or Philly most likely.
If the Flyers win against the Sabres tomorrow, we’re sealed in 6th.
Think the Flyers would tank it to play the Habs?
If they do, they could easily hide behind their play for the past month.
if they lose, then the pens could pass them and win the division.
Well the effort was terrible, but at long as we win our last game, we get sixth. So nothing changed, we still control our own destiny.
What a pass by AK!! Great point – but we need a coach who will show some creativity. Offense is part of the game too, Count.
Wow, I can’t believe some posters who are extrapolating our playoff chances based on this game. Come on! We’re playing in a nothing game against a team with squat to play for. This kind of result is to be expected.
That’s just the usual naysayers and doomsday prophets that are on here. They’re nauseating to say the least
Terrible effort by the Habs considering the playoffs are next week. they won’t get it done playing like that. I’m out.
ill take this loss, they peaked, their fans are happy for the last time this year….10sec? toronto media take notiice? no, dont. this is special to us. this is may hockey, you dont understand
Habs didn’t deserve to win.
Hope Jacques has them fired up for the next one.
This was just brutal.
Hmmm, Wiz got belted/pushed/tripped at the end there?
all is good here, ready to see youre negativity shine
You may have the wrong guy…my negativity?
hey we got a point we diid not deserve…..
they get the point and then shut it down? … unbelievable … if only they cared 100% of the time … good night.
Terrrrible D. Oh well. Cammy bought us a point.
We choked…plain and simple. On to Philadelphia or Washingtom where there will be no miracles carried over from last year in the playoffs. Golf season coming a week later for our Habs.
And Subban’s an overhyped junior scoring star we should’ve traded and isn’t ready for the NHL, right?
I love that band!
The only interesting answers are those which destroy the questions. ~Susan Sontag
Outstanding RM. Simply outstanding.
In that case, we might as well not even show up for the first round. Everyone knows playoff results are based on the 81st game of the regular season.
You will always be a Canadien in my eyes, Saku
“We” choked? Dude we’re you playing? Awesome! Which number are you?
“No, I see. The monkey’s out of the bottle now!”
Can’ say I’m surprised. At least we got a loser point!
Aw well, coulda been worse. I’ll take the point.
Love that Butler’s hustle, no-one could touch him.
Shart. Oh well.
Oh well. Didn’t deserve a point.
Glad to see we could ramp it up to tie Bingo.
I hope this living breathing version of AK46 sticks around for the playoffs.
They’ll need the 2 … they need to play Beantown to have a chance for a first round upset!
AK makes some beauty laser beam passes.
Hahaha, there goes Jacques’s notepad.
Just NOT good enough! I fear Saturday night if this is the effort we can expect. and as I type Camel Larry from big tits! Go figure.
“just shut up and play against him” – BG
Subban with a 3rd OT winner and 3rd GWG in a row?
FINALLY-Some desperation-whaddaya know!
Honestly, firs time i’ve seen Cammy smile after a goal in a LOOOOONG time. Nice to see he’s still having fun. He seems so serious this season!
OH THAT HAS TO HURT
OK, everybody back on the bandwagon.
I CANT BELIEVE IT
AK46 = BRILLIANT!!!
AK THE SET UP MAN!!!!!!
Hi Stephen. 2-2
This was a reply to The Dude…where’d he go? lol
A sniper always finds a way to score.
AGGGGGGHHHHHHH NO EFFING WAYYYYYY!!!!!!
OOOHYEEEEEAH!!!!! FRIGGIN CLUTCH!
Well at least we’ll get a point. That’s what happens when you TRY boys.
Holy Crap, even though we don’t deserve it.
Pretend this is round 1 you pansies … SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
